Still, Cloud doesn't immediately turn 180 degrees and walk off, so that's something… and it also means he has to commit and actually help the kid out.

Sliding into his seat next to Cloud, as sitting across wouldn't help in the teaching department, Kunsel reaches across the table and starts fiddling with Cloud's phone. Huh, unlocked. "Well, we're definitely putting a lock screen on this, for starters. Don't want random people going through your phone if they find it, do ya?" Says the random person going through his phone. "Just think of four numbers, and make sure it's something you can actually remember. Had to reset Zack's PHS like twice."

With that, he hands the phone back to Cloud in the settings app, asking him to input a code.

Hyperfixating on House Salvation leads to some strange discoveries. Like this one:

This is Techwizard Malykuh. They were the final boss in the Hierachy mission aka the opening mission for Season of the Seraph. Looks like a standard Ultra Salvation Captain, right?

WRONG.

THIS is a standard Ultra Captain of House Salvation

Malykuh has a different bicolor paint job. The right side of his rebreather and his lower arms are blue, and his upper arms and left side of his rebreather are white. He does not have their signature arm fur and thus has spikier elbows and shoulders. No back spikes, either. Despite not being a Stasis user, (Enforcer, Disciple, or Assistant), he possesses their signature spiky headpiece, albeit with no Salvation markings.

His cloak does not have the Salvation insignia. His loincloth is torn. And he is the only Salvation Ultra to throw grenades.

Where am I going with this?

Nowhere actually. It's just so baffling to me that this random ass dude in a mission you couldn't replay nor can anyone play ever again has a unique visual model and unique combat mechanics (technically). Like. Why are you special???? Why are you new? No one would've noticed if you were just the model of a standard Ultra captain like Teraks, Weniks, or any other character meant to be thrown away. You could've just been a Stasis user. That'd still make sense, and no one would need to create a unique model for it. I'm happy about it. Just means there are more variants of House Salvation members to draw, but I'm genuinely just curious.
