I’m willing to bet cold hard cash money that the type of compliments Tech would give Phee and some of the things we would say to her would give some Jane Austen love interests a run for their money. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I think Tech and Phee's first kiss would be in the Archium. Phee would be giving him a tour, showing him all the artifacts she has collected for the people of Pabu, sharing her knowledge of different cultures, truly passionate and excited about it all. Tech would be listening intently of course, but he'd become increasingly smitten as the tour continued. She's so knowledgeable, so kind and selfless, so dedicated to helping the refugees preserve the memories they have of their homes.

They'd get physically closer as Phee shows him more and more treasures: their hands would brush while she passes him something to look at, he'd almost rest his head on her shoulder to look at something she's gesturing to in front of her, she'd tug on his arm to guide him to something and just... not let go.

So by the end, they're holding hands. And Tech is like "Ok, Phee is undoubtedly interested in me. There is no way I am misreading this. I must kiss her to show my reciprocal romantic intentions, and this is the perfect time." He is NOT going to waste this chance.

If Tech comes back, a little late for the end of the show titled The Bad Batch, has a pirates and smugglers phase, and meets back up with Phee, I’m going to beadcanon that Phee is connected to the force enough to casually predict the future without necessarily knowing it. (Or maybe knowing it. I’m not picky.)

on this topic... Phee had a lucky in love bachelorette weekend and Tech had a denim and diamonds bachelor weekend.

their wedding was actually something more casual, something like a picnic micro-wedding inviting just their families and a couple of friends.

also Crosshair was the best man, Lyanna was the MOH and Omega was a bridesmaid at the wedding, and of course all of them gave speeches.... but Crosshairs was to everyones (exept for Tech, Hunter, Wrecker, Omega and Phees) surprise the most emotional one.

Ok part two of Phee is a jedi and saves tech what if tech has a vision of what his life would have been . He sees his life with Phee on pabu . He sees future children and nieces and nephews . He see omega gown and he sees him self old . And at the last minute Phee saves him and the first thing he does is talk to her .

Tech:Life is too short to not live it to the fullest and I want to do that with you.

I feel like if Phee was pregnant, she and Tech would act like how my parents acted during each of my mom’s pregnancies.

Phee would just be chilling, doing her own thing and going on as usual pretty much up until it’s time to have the baby (and gets annoyed if she’s told to slow down or take a break), and basically making the whole thing look effortless. Then you have Tech freaking out any time he has to go somewhere for longer than an average workday, constantly asking if she’s comfortable, nearly having a heart attack when he sees her doing things around the house, and tripping over himself to get whatever food she might be craving.

Be healthy. What nicknames do Batchy and their partners give each other and for what reasons (Phee calls Tech brown-eyed because of the color of his eyes, for example)?

Hello! I just came off of having a cold, so I hope I stay healthy lol. But I hope you are healthy too dear anon! 🩵 Sorry it took so long to answer! This is such a cute question! I'd been meaning to do little doodles of them calling each other nicknames so here ya go!

Hunter's not really one for nicknames, so he rarely uses them and Jung really only uses a few as well since he doesn't speak much

Echo and Viram enjoy using sweeter nicknames for each other, with Viram using a few ridiculous ones that make Echo laugh every time she calls him one of them

Wrecker and Khea uses nicknames for each other constantly - sweet, endearing, cringey, silly - they use them all because it's fun but also because Khea is someone who is constantly using nicknames for everyone and anyone

Phee is like Khea where she is constantly using nicknames, but the ones for Tech are special and sweet - meanwhile, Tech typically uses very romantic and charming nicknames for Phee like some kind of Victorian lover

Crosshair thinks pet names are kinda stupid so he doesn't like using them - instead he'll use insults (affectionately sometimes) for Tay, with him rarely calling him something like 'babe' - meanwhile, Tay loves using any and all nick/petnames for Crosshair

The nicknames included are both in universe and in a modern setting!

Hunter calls Jung:

Cyare - 'beloved' in Mando'a because Jung is his beloved Taku taupuhi - 'darling/my chosen' one in Māori because he chose Jung to be his partner in the special dynamic they have

Jung calls Hunter:

Darling - because Jung likes the regal politeness of it Hun - short for "Hunter" and a play on words of 'Hon' (which is short for 'Honey') 여보 - means 'honey/sweetheart' in Korean

Echo calls Viram:

Cyar’ika, Love - sweet words of endearment to show how much he loves Viram E ipo - means 'darling' in Māori Taku whaiāipo - means 'my sweetheart' in Māori Nectarine - because Viram reminds Echo of a nectarine (sweet and colorful)

Viram calls Echo:

Love/Honey - sweet words of endearment to show how much she loves Echo Snookums/Cutiepie - silly words of endearment she uses to make Echo laugh Querido - means 'dear' in Portuguese Meu eco - means 'my echo' in Portuguese (because that's what he is)

Wrecker calls Khea:

Mesh’la - means 'beautiful' in Mando'a because Wrecker thinks she's beautiful and he knows she appreciates him using the language of her people Babe/Hon - classic terms of endearment he enjoys using Sunshine/Firecracker - cute nicknames that reflect her enthusiastic and hotheaded behavior Manu iti - means 'little bird/birdie' in Māori because she reminds him of a bird

Khea calls Wrecker:

Ori’cyare/Big Guy - reflecting on some obvious physical attributes of Wrecker, 'ori' means 'big' in Mando'a so she's calling him her 'big beloved/sweetheart' basically Ori’dral - akin to meaning 'big bright, powerful light' as 'ori' means 'big' and 'dral' means 'bright, glowing, strong, and/or powerful' to reflect on him being a guiding light and a source of strength to her Mi vida - 'my life' in Spanish because he's everything to her Mi corazón - 'my heart' in Spanish because he's her wants and desires Papí - basically 'daddy' in Spanish and she jokingly uses it 여보 - 'sweetheart/honey' in Korean

Tech calls Phee:

Honey, Beloved/My love/Darling - Tech loves using any and all super romantic and flowy words of endearment for Phee to show how much he cares and loves her Taku taonga - 'my treasure' in Māori because she's worth everything and more to him and because pirates

Phee calls Tech:

Brown Eyes - for obvious reasons we all know and love Babe/Dear - classic terms of endearment she likes to use because they never fail to make Tech smile Sweetcheeks/Pudding/Muffin/Cutiepie - silly terms of endearment that she loves to use because they make Tech blush and short-circuit

Crosshair calls Tay:

Idiot/Bastard - usually said with a scoff or roll of his eyes (Tay)-Babe - occasionally calls him the classic 'babe' name and will call him 'Tay-babe' either to get something he wants or because he's going, "Tay. Babe." after Tay says/does something stupid Taku whaiāipo - means 'sweetheart' in Māori because Tay is sweet to him but this is something he's only ever call Tay in private

Tay calls Crosshair:

Baby/Babe - classic terms of endearment that he uses a lot Hubby - after they get married, Tay uses this a lot just because he's grateful and proud to call Crosshair his husband Mi cielo - 'my darling/sky' in Spanish for reasons that can be found in this fic in the third chapter! Cariño - 'darling/honey/dear' in Spanish and something Tay likes using because he purrs it and Crosshair always blushes Literally any embarrassing pet name under the sun - Tay likes teasing Crosshair and will say anything to get him to blush or squirm

Looks like I've started writing enough Batcher fic that a masterpost would be helpful! Fics are always tagged under #my batcher fic. My stories are typically canon-compliant genfic focused on angst, whump, family feels, PTSD, and grief. But, there's also the occasional bit of fluff and TechPhee. Injury: Crosshair's first use of the Firepuncher. Crosshair and Wrecker, cadet days, summerofbadbatch prompt injured, drabble + art.

Comfort Zone: Tech and Crosshair relaxing on Kamino, drabble + art, summerofbadbatch prompt.

Flash and Bang: Wrecker loves the poetry of explosions. Drabble.

Field Experience: On one of the Batch's first missions, Hunter is unexpectedly injured and learns a valuable lesson. Hurt/comfort, whump, ~2000 words.

When You Wake: Hunter tries to figure out what to tell Omega, after Tech calls Plan 99. -1000 words, angst.

the mess you left behind: Tech called Plan 99. Wrecker’s still here. Wrecker tries to cope with newfound grief, but he can’t do it alone. Shortly post-Plan 99. ~ 3500 words. Sibling grief.

Pretending. Omega pretends on Tantiss, but grief will always out. Drabble + art.

Something’s Off: Drabble + art. Crosshair tries to grapple with news of Tech’s death.

Visitation: Hunter has a conversation with a visitor, shortly after Plan 99. 1400 words, sibling grief.

heightened: Hunter struggles to understand Tech’s death, but even heightened senses don’t help. ~1000 words.

Lost Time: Echo works on Omega's crossbow after Plan 99. Drabble.

haunted: Crosshair's first trip to Pabu is more fraught than it would seem. Or: Crosshair sees Tech's goggles for the first time. 1375 words, all hurt no comfort.

dust: Crosshair reconciles with his old armor. The Return. Drabble.

Patching Up: After the events of The Return, Crosshair realizes Batcher needs patching up. She’s not the only one. ~2770 words.

Blind Side: Wrecker catches Crosshair for a heart-to-heart, and reminds him of something that happened long ago. Set between 3x05 and 3x06, ~ 1700 words. Illustrated by @collophora!

Breathless: After Crosshair nearly drowns in 3x07 - Extraction, the Batch heads back to Pabu to rest and regroup. But the danger isn't over yet, and they'll need to work together to save one of their own. Crosshair angst, medical whump, family feels. Canon-compliant/missing scene, ~5100 words. Still: When Crosshair can't hide his tremor any longer, Omega does her best to help. Maybe this time it'll be different. Fill-in-the-blank for episode Bad Territory. ~1900 words.

Patience: Set shortly after Bad Territory. Crosshair continues to attempt meditation with Omega's encouragement, but it's slow going, especially when the rain interrupts. 1500 words.

Dawn, After: Hunter finds Crosshair after Point of No Return. Drabble.

In the morning: Hunter takes Crosshair aside before leaving Pabu. Set during Juggernaut. Drabble.

no choice: Wrecker struggles in the approach to Tantiss - no he doesn't. Whump, drabble. Written for summerofbadbatch prompt, "it's just a scratch."

Captured: drabble with art of Crosshair and Hunter being transported to the CX conditioning chamber during the finale. ;_; WHUMP.

aftershocks: Wrecker struggles to get through the assault on Tantiss and the aftermath. But no matter what, he’ll always look out for his little brother. Wrecker and Crosshair angst and whump and family feels. SPOILERS for the finale. 2200 words.

Breaching the Wall: After Crosshair’s injuries on Tantiss, AZI is forced to treat him with heavy doses of pain medication — and Crosshair starts talking. To everyone. Family feels, whump, hurt/comfort. 5800 words with 2 illustrations :)

Need a Hand? Crosshair knows he can ask for help, but it’s harder than it sounds. Post-finale, 655 words, summerofbadbatch prompt.

a rain that sounds like home: Complete; 43,000 words, 8 chapters. After the destruction of Tantiss, the Bad Batch is safe at last. As Crosshair begins to recover from his injuries, it becomes apparent that not all of his scars are physical, and that guilt and grief are wounds that cut deeper than any blade. touch: Crosshair has nearly forgotten what it's like to be touched, but time changes that. Whump, hurt/comfort, family feels, soft ending. ~1160 words.

morning caf: It's an early morning on Pabu, and Crosshair hasn't slept well. Neither has Wrecker. When Crosshair goes to check on him, he doesn't expect the question Wrecker asks: "What was it like?  When your chip… when it activated?” Angst, family feels, ~2400 words.

Healing: COMIC. Crosshair finds a new use for his mirror pucks.

The Bad Birders: Headcanons and art of the Batch as birders. Crosshair’s up first, the rest to follow :)

Sick Day: Crosshair wakes up sick, and Omega proves herself the best big sister. ~1000 words.

the waves flowing, the dawn blooming: Hunter and Crosshair have a heart-to-heart, after their girl takes wing. Set directly after the epilogue, stuffed full of soft Dad Batch feels, lots of healing, and Hunter and Crosshair being close again. ~1900 words.

Senescence: Clones have always lived on borrowed time. On a trip home from the Rebellion, Omega and her brothers reach a new understanding. 2700 words, bittersweet family feels. Written for multiple prompts.

Clone Studies: a little meta post about the field of clone studies, long after the clones are gone — but not forgotten.

Since there are a lot of things that Tech does and says that remind me of my grandfather, and I often will take things my grandfather does or some of his quirks and give them to Tech in my writings or headcanons, I must propose this:

Tech, although yes he does snark and sass and complain about things, is really rather calm and mild-mannered, but all of that chill goes out the window the SECOND someone disrespects or is rude to his wife Phee.

I've been picturing him without his goggles too, but what if he has new ones and his siblings are all "you don't need these with cybernetic eyes" and Tech's avoiding eye contact like "I do, in fact, need them."

Silly mental image, but: Tech makes his way back from wherever he is a few months after Tantiss. He lost both eyes in the fall, and he’s had both replaced by cybernetics. And, being Tech, he likes to pop them out and tinker with them from time to time (one at a time, of course). And in the course of his tinkering

he adds

a recording function

with a red indicator light.

So Hunter or whoever will just be minding their own business and will walk up to Tech and ask him for something, and then Tech will be like

“Yes? What is it?”

It takes some getting used to and Tech doesn’t see the problem (Tech does, in fact, see the problem, he just finds the problem hilarious).

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope y'all are spending today with someone you love or treating yourself to something nice! 🩵

Treating my aroace-ass self to daydreaming about the sillies and how they'd spend their Valentines - so here's a couple of headcanons!

Hunter + Jung:

- Nothing huge planned for Valentine's, but they'll use it as an excuse to get some well-needed rest and time to themselves - Day starts off with Jung and Omega making Hunter breakfast in bed and all three of them just lounging about until they have to wash the dishes - After that, they probably do various things together, like meditating together, having an at-home spa day, and then for fun they probably do that thing where couples will try to paint portraits of each other (which probably ends with a big mess) - They honestly spend most of the day at home, but later they take an evening walk down to the beach together to watch the sunset - Hunter gets some robes Jung made for him as a gift - Jung gets flowers and new perfume from Hunter - Both of them get Omega chocolate - Hunter's love language is acts of service - Jung's love language is quality time

Echo x Viram:

- They have some stuff planned, but nothing too crazy - it's all relaxing, cliche type things because these two honestly need a break in between all the Rebellion stuff they do together - They're sleeping in for as long as they can and then going out to have a romantic brunch together (gotta have those mimosas) - Afterwards they're headed to the marketplace to do some shopping - Viram's getting stuff to make some desserts later for her and Echo (but also some for the others too) and Echo's getting stuff to make dinner - Then it's time for some cooking, singing, and dancing together in the kitchen as Viram bakes and Echo cooks until the food and treats are ready - End the night with a movie and some face masks because self-care is important - they fall asleep before the movie ends too - Echo gets Viram flowers and jewelry - Viram gets Echo some books he'd been wanting and a scrapbook she put together of photos and things that extend back to him being an ARC Trooper (she got photos from Rex) to their current time - Echo's love language is acts of service and words of affirmation - Viram's love language is also acts of service

Wrecker x Khea:

- Oh, they go all out for Valentine’s Day - the whole time they're doing something together and having fun - Wrecker lets Khea sleep in as long as he can before waking her up with some breakfast in bed then as soon as they can be, they're out of the house and off to have some fun - Maybe they'll go to some sort of fair or something - an amusement park or they'll go hiking somewhere fun (and potentially dangerous) - just someplace that they can be together that's exciting for both of them - If it's a fair or other, they're definitely snacking the whole time and enjoying sweet treats throughout the day and they somehow still have room for a dinner - in which, Wrecker attempts to teach Khea how to cook (it doesn't go too well) - If there's somewhere they can watch fireworks, they will - if not, they'll just make their own - Wrecker and Khea have a tradition of getting each other stuffed animals for certain events (milestones, birthdays, holidays, etc) so they both get each other plushies - Additionally, Khea gets Wrecker some utensils for his grill and Wrecker gets Khea a new toolbelt - Wrecker's love language is physical touch - Khea's love language is words of affirmation and gifts

Tech x Phee:

- Like Wrecker and Khea, these two spend most of the day out and about on an adventure or other and don't really spend that much time at home - They'll enjoy a simple breakfast and caf in the morning before taking off to some grand place to explore - Phee's got artifacts to liberate and Tech's got recordings and findings to document - Whatever they're doing is probably dangerous and there's a chance that they're probably going to get into trouble, but it's no big deal because they easily get out of the trouble as soon as they get into it - They'd have a romantic picnic for lunch in whatever beautiful spot they manage to find on their little getaway and that's when they actually stop and relax for a little bit as they drink, eat, talk, and cloud-gaze - Phee sees a cloud that reminds her of a story and she starts to tell it, there's so many gorgeous clouds and they're surrounded by beautiful, serene nature, and Tech's looking right at Phee like she hung the stars - After the picnic, they continue their adventure until it's time to head back to Pabu and when dinner comes around they just order some takeout and spend the rest of the night talking - Tech gets Phee a necklace with a beautiful charm of a compass hanging from it and a bouquet of her favorite flowers - Phee gets Tech more pouches (lol) and some new tools that he'd been needing to work on his projects - Tech's love language is quality time - Phee's love language is also quality time and acts of service

Crosshair x Tay'kaa:

- Crosshair's a bit of a homebody now, so he and Tay spend most of the day together at home with Batcher - Crosshair also pretends to hate Valentine's Day but of course, he's secretly a big softie who enjoys it - Tay lets Crosshair sleep in as usual, but once he comes back from his run with Batcher he makes Crosshair breakfast - but not in bed though because Crosshair thinks it's gross and doesn't want crumbs in his sheets because he WILL feel them at night and he will NOT sleep if he does - After that, they spend time together relaxing at home - Omega might stop by to hang out with them, at some point, and they have fun playing video games or recounting embarrassing/funny stories of the others or each other - They'll go out later in the day for a romantic dinner at Crosshair's favorite place and he gets to have all the dessert he wants - maybe they'll even go dancing afterward, too - Then back at home it's just cuddle-pile time with Batcher - Crosshair gets Tay new clothes and manages to find a picture of Tay's late mentor/surrogate mother that he prints and frames for him - Tay gets Crosshair his favorite chocolates, a frozen treat maker (that makes milkshakes, ice cream, and whatnot), and the gift of a clean house - Crosshair gets Batcher some treats and Tay got her a new toy - Crosshair's love language is words of affirmation and acts of service - Tay's love language is also words of affirmation, but also physical touch
