                     “It’s not all bad, you know,” he attempts to reassure in the most confident, collected tone he can summon forth. Charles has made a full time job of locating, housing & training young mutants. This wasn’t his first time to show up, unannounced in an attempt to offer his guidance and as much assistance as he possibly could. Hands folded carefully & placed in his lap, a small, warm smile in place as he opens his mouth to begin again. “There are many others like you, you’re not alone.” That of course, was always the main point he wanted to make, that they weren’t alone, that was never the case. Isolation was a prison one had to willingly created, they were never purposely pushed there, not if he had anything to do with it.

           he’s a fan of the theatrical. he’s a fan of a lot of things ( that’s what happens when you’ve had centuries ), but his penchant for performance is one that’s stuck with him from the start, woven between his ribs like so many other things. embarrassment no longer presents itself as worry; one hand behind his back, the other out held to her as he all but drops into a bow. all for the candy cane being presented.

        2: where does your oc work?

   luther works at san quentin state prison. he serves as a consultant of sorts for other state prisons, particularly ones that deliver capital punishment. that obviously requires traveling, but it happens fairly rarely and under extreme circumstances. 

        12: is your oc sexually active?

   luther is sexually active. he’s quite the fan of one night stands and no-strings-attached sexual relationships. 

        22: has your oc ever killed someone?

   part of luther’s job is to kill people. he does so in the most humane way possible and gets passionately upset when executioners don’t do their job correctly and perform botched executions. 

        32: did your oc go to college? what did they major in?

   luther didn’t go to college out of high school, but he has been in contact with some college to take a few courses here and there to give him a better understanding of how the body works in order to ensure a humane and smooth execution. he’s never pursued a major or degree of any sort. 

        42: does your oc drink coffee or tea?

   he drinks coffee and tea, but tends towards coffee and prefers to drink his tea iced. he finds it’s more refreshing that way. 

        52: how does your oc feel about insects?

   it depends on the insect, quite frankly. butterflies make him very happy. beetles, lady bugs, grasshoppers, and the like, are pretty much not on his radar and he couldn’t care less about them. really, the only insects he dislikes are critters like cockroaches, mosquitos, etc. other than those, he hates seeing people go out of their way to kill insects.

there’s something like GUILT in the bottom of his feet, like it might weigh him down & like it might crush him. she keeps him fed & keeps him safe, despite the morality in her bones that says not to.

he’s never full, he never will be.

she should know this, he wants to tell her, but he never does. he’s halfway through his jerky pack, tearing and ripping and smacking & swallowing ravenously.

he never thinks to ask her how she’s feeling. she looks tired -- maybe that’s just how she looks. most humans looked tired to him.

there’s a piece of jerky left. he holds the bag out to her with his eyebrows raised, a gurgle in the back of his throat.

he’ll ask her to get more if she eats it.
