Xiaomi’s MIUI China software releases aren’t intended to be used by global users. MIUI China only has Mandarin and English as languages, lacks Google apps, and comes with a bunch of Chinese services that aren’t of any use outside of the country. The team at Xiaomi.EU takes MIUI China and translates the strings to more languages, adds Google apps, and removes various Chinese services so global users can enjoy bleeding edge MIUI features. In addition, Xiaomi.EU also unlocks a bunch of features that Xiaomi restricts to certain device models or are otherwise hidden in MIUI. Their latest release is based on the Chinese MIUI 12 beta builds and is available on over 2 dozen Mi and Redmi smartphones. Xiaomi officially unveiled its latest custom Android user interface – MIUI 12. It’s still based on Android 10 but brings a visual overhaul with a simpler flat look alongside plenty of new animations, an improved dark mode, new health app and more sophisticated privacy controls. Starting off with the visuals, Xiaomi has flattened pretty much all of MIUI. There are new app launch and closing animations that Xiaomi claims are faster and more fluid than before. Dark Mode 2.0 is another key addition that brings wallpaper dimming and font adjustment to make text easier to read and reduce eye strain. Other neat visual additions include the new live wallpapers which zoom in from a space view to an aerial shot each time you unlock your phone. There’s also new always-on display functionality and floating windows which allows you to keep small app previews open on top of full-screen content. Gesture navigation now adopts the stock Android 10 approach and Xiaomi has improved notification management with its new quick reply feature. Another key feature in MIUI 12 is the improved privacy management which can now keep track of your apps’ behavior and will show you specific ones that abuse permissions. In addition, Xiaomi is implementing a new virtual ID security protocol that prevents suspicious apps from accessing vital information from your device. Xiaomi is also adding new accessibility features with AI Calling which can transcribe calls and suggest responses during conversations for hearing impaired users. Mi Health which is now official, promises improved activity tracking thanks to new AI algorithms and also offers sleep tracking without any additional devices, as it simply requires placing the phone under your pillow. MIUI 12 closed beta testing is now live for Chinese users while the stable build is scheduled to release in June. . . . . #techies_page_miui #techies_page_xiaomi #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #miui12 #miui #xiaomi #mi10youthedition #mi10youthedition5g #mi10youth5g #mi10youth #android10 #privacy #gestures #navigation #usa #china #india #uk #australia #canada #mihealth #ai #darkmode2point0 #dimming #wallpaper #quickreply #visuals https://www.instagram.com/p/B_gybE9Aheb/?igshid=1l0nqlz1lzbt8

Xiaomi has now provided some more details as to what the new version of the mode will offer. Wallpaper Dimming is pretty straight-forward in its effects, but with a rather interesting added twist. Instead of simply dimming the wallpaper image uniformly, Dark Mode 2.0 will attempt to intelligently simulate a gradual light transition, according to the day-night cycle. The really interesting bit here, though, is finding our whether this will only work with a pre-determined set of system images or Xiaomi actually came up with a way to pull it off on any custom wallpaper. Font weight adjustment is also a rather descriptive name. The feature will be able to automatically adjust the boldness of text in order to reduce glare and blur. This builds upon the dynamic font system, which already exists in MIUI 11 and should work in both dark and light mode. Font contrast adjustments is another step towards the ultimate goal of a more pleasant reading experience. Main idea here is that the relative brightness and contrast difference between the black background and white text in Dark Mode 2.0 should adapt dynamically, according to the amount of ambient light. That way, your eyes won’t hurt during the night and you will be able to read text more easily in sunlight. Of course, we are sure there are plenty of other features to detail in MIUI 12 and we have no doubt Xiaomi will feed us more bits and pieces until the time for the big announcements comes. . . . . #techies_page_miui #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #miui11 #miui12 #miui #xiaomi #redmi #mi #darkmode #darkmode2point0 #contrast #ambientlight #wallpaper #dimming #sunlight #reading #text #brightness #usa #uk #australia #unitedstates #unitedkingdom #germany #china #japan #canada https://www.instagram.com/p/B_SbZDpDZCe/?igshid=v68ha3hq2pr8

Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 Lite 5G in Europe last month and today the company announced it will unveil a new variant of the smartphone on April 27 in China, dubbed Mi 10 Youth (machine translated from Chinese). Alongside the Mi 10 Youth, Xiaomi will also detail MIUI 12. The unveiling will be streamed live starting at 6 AM UTC. We don't have the full specs of the Mi 10 Youth yet, but a poster shared by Xiaomi on Weibo confirmed the Mi 10 Youth will come in four colors and pack a quad camera setup on the back including a periscope module with 50x zoom. The Mi 10 Youth, like its global counterpart Mi 10 Lite, will support 5G networks and may have a Snapdragon 765G SoC at the helm. Details about the MIUI 12 are scarce right now, but we expect to hear more about it in the days leading to the official announcement. . . . . #techies_page_xiaomi #techies_page_miui #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #xiaomi #mi #redmi #chinese #china #5g #mi10lite #mi10lite5g #europe #mi10youthedition #mi10youth #usa #unitedstates #unitedkingdom #miui12 #miui #quadcamera #periscope #50xzoom #weibo #snapdragon765g #launch #unveil #australia https://www.instagram.com/p/B_PDO4ugkiJ/?igshid=m2snuyad6l82

The MIUI 12 is the next big thing that Mi Fans expect from Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi. Sometime last month, the company officially announced that it is ending the development of the MIUI 11 system. This sparked speculations that the MIUI 12 is on the way. Since the announcement, we have seen a couple of lists of devices to get the MIUI 12 update. First, we saw a general list of eligible devices to get the MIUI 12 update. Later, there was another list that shows the Xiaomi devices that will get the MIUI 12 update based on Android 11. The numerous lists make it difficult to check if your device is eligible for the MIUI 12 update based on the speculations so far. However, a new app “MIUI 12 Eligibility Test” is changing that. With this app, you can easily determine if your device will get the MIUI 12 update. The MIUI 12 Eligibility Test is developed by Alpha Developers Official. From the information on Google Play Store, this is the only app from the developer. . . . . #techies_page_xiaomi #techies_page_miui #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #miui #miui11 #miui12 #app #miui12eligibilitytestapp #russia #australia #usa #unitedstates #uk #unitedkingdom #canada #alpha #developers #development #update #eligibility #mi #redmi #android11 #googleplaystore #playstore #developer #europe https://www.instagram.com/p/B_KNHiTAX9n/?igshid=15w0j2ny62j2c
