2004 he yang cake from hayslon tea, only described as “huge leaves”

thick, loosely pressed cake. i can wiggle the leaves off with ease. cooling, herbal. it’s smooooooooth. most of the tea at hayslon has a very similar house flavor, but it’s all pretty tasty.

i grew up with fireweed in my yard but I didn't know you could make tea out of it until I was an adult. I keep trying to steal some to plant but I haven't had success yet, so this year I got some seeds from a swap that I'm starting indoors (along with some other things that are notorious for spreading haha) (I won't rest until I eradicate my lawn).

Anyway, I think you can make a tea out of both the leaves and the flowers, so it'll be fun to try.

Years ago, I saw the classic lifesize Gundam in Tokyo and last year I was finally able to see the lifesize Unicorn Gundam.

The Unicorn Gundam stands 24.8 meters (just over 64 feet) tall.

After sunset it goes into Destroy Mode.

I am a tea geek, so I drank mecha (a type of green tea) while admiring the mecha.

Bonus: Gundam at sunset

Unicorn Gundam is located in Odaiba, Tokyo in the DiverCity Plaza.

some 2016 zijuan sheng from yeeon. very purple, gorgeous. not particularly hong kong for hong kong storage, which i’m good with really. surprisingly clean and bright. has to be really pushed, but the purple beauty flavor comes out at least. i have the purple bud as well on my to-sample pile for later this week.

weird to think 2016 is a 9 year old tea. 💜💜💜
