I love the small details in v3 that hint towards the ending. Like, they knew how to hide important twists in the same old tropes for the series.

Like, for instance, the protagonist. Everybody was surprised when the first chapter when Kaede turned out to be the murderer. And that shuichi was the new protagonist. The interesting thing about that is, the protagonist never killed anybody, because you weren't playing the protagonist! You find out at the end that Kiibo was the protagonist in the game, which seems very obvious after. I mean, look at him. Gray hair, ohege? He has the same thing all other protagonists in the series have!

(Does this mean Makoto and Hinata both have antennas on their heads?)

Plus, Danganronpa had been going on so long that it became a self referential show (Neoworld, anybody?) I wonder how many references went over our heads, since we missed like 49 games.

Also, this is just a small thought, but will we ever understand the end of DR3? "Yeah I don't get it either, pretty sure I died." "I'll be right there, thanks."

Do you think there is any character in the DRV3 cast that is truely evil?

The answer depends on what your definition of “evil” is. Does committing a crime make a person evil? The intent behind the crime? Or if the majority say its evil, does that make the person evil?

A message within Danganronpa talked about how just because something is “common sense” to you doesn’t make it “common sense” to everyone around you. (from Ouma’s FTE with Akamatasu) Things like “truly evil” are a very subjective term since no matter how many people may believe someone to be evil, there is always an opposition. 

Although I believe “killing, stealing another life is evil”, I don’t believe that person to be “truly evil.” The strangest motive of the DRV3 murders would have to be Shinguji’s in chapter 3, where he has this delusional idea of “making friends for his dead sister”, but I can’t call him evil either. Although his ideology differs greatly from my own, he was someone who believed strongly in it and did everything he thought was for his dear sister. 

Tsumugi’s motives for the entire “fiction world” is somewhat clear, but also not. There’s so much information that have no evidence behind it and even the “evidence” she does provide is questionable. I even have doubts that perhaps “Shirogane Tsumugi” herself was a pawn for TeamDanganronpa as well. A character that was made to believe she was to fill the role as the “mastermind”. And even she was a willing mastermind, it is true these games were created for someone to “watch and enjoy” them, so would she be evil for putting her own life on the line to create this “show?”

In conclusion, I do not think there is a DRV3 character who is “truely evil” in the sense Enoshima Junko was designed to be. Junko is an interesting character who did not have the “redeemable harsh past that drives her actions” and was created to just be…despair to a point even herself embraces the “evil”. She doesn’t spread despair because she believes despair is for the better, but because she can. 

Every other character has some motivation that acts as a redemption to their actions. Some belief that what they do is “for the greater good”. I can’t call someone that tries to live for their justice, “evil”. Just like DRV3’s  core themes of Truth and Lies, “evil” is not something that is black and white but gray. Just as there are no characters that are truly good, there are no characters which are truly evil.

This answer is very much my own personal opinion, and thank you for being curious about my thoughts XXD.

I’ve probably touched on this before, but I’ma go all the way since Pluto && I are talking about Pre V3 Kids. Spoilers under the cut !!

   Ouma was raised under a very healthy house hold, his father being the head of a successful company while his mother for the most part is a stay at home mom with her son growing up. He was rather a spoiled child, always getting what he wanted && learning how to fake tears if he were ever to be rejected by someone who wasn’t his mother who’d always say yes. Through his first few years of Primary School was he somewhat of a shy student who’d get bullied due to his interests.  Ouma was into the strangest of things- jokes && clowns mainly && that’d be the source for alot of these kids his age or older in school to pick on him. However, he always seemed to get out of it with how much he’d cry to teachers.     Though it could always been seen as such an act.    Around the age of nine did Ouma loose his parents (I still havent decided on how yet rip), having no real relatives around or anyone who’d be willing to take him in did he instead stick to the streets where he eventually learned he could manipulate people into feeling sorry for him && not just passing him by whenever the saw a miserable homeless child. Eventually he met a few of children who were also orphans on the streets aswell && shared many of the same intrests as Ouma. Some were the same age-some even older. As time went on did this small gang form what’s today known as DICE. Ouma was declared their leader, mainly for being the brains of the team && how great he was at manipulation. They’d pull many pranks on people- mainly what they consider harmless. Though while he was still like this when he was younger, Ouma was also inter entertainment,  doing things like performances when it came to earning money. This helped alot with coping with the loss of his parents..since of course he couldn’t off and forget about them just because he had a new family now. Many times would hiding his true emotions behind a mask be what he’d do. One day did he hear rumor about a television show based around mutual killing- He had seen billboards promoting the show before so the name was familar. It was produced by a company called TeamDanganronpa, and according to many of the people he’d hear about it from, Mutual Killing games was the new form of entertainment. Finding out more  about the show && getting the opportunity to catch the first season (thus why he has the DR1 album in his research room) did he hear that their 53rd season was taking auditions. Eventually as he grew up and was able to earn money more easily now did he send in an audition tape; stating that he’d be a great leader for the show- that even if he hadn’t watched much but the first season, he loved it! Hell, he even said he’d donate his winnings to charity; aswell to help out his family. Things really started looking up when he got his acceptance letter.
