He got to spend the day with lots of mom and dad time. Today is the anniversary of Boone being released from the hospital!!! Of course the road ahead of us was LONG and the visits for sedation and chemo proved to be just as emotionally charged as the hospital stay! But still an amazing memory to be celebrated nonetheless!! Today is the 1 year anniversary of his port placement surgery! This time last year our heads were swimming trying to take in all the information that we would need to properly care for Boone during the course of his chemo treatments! Wish I could have glimpsed the future to see where he is today. He has turned into such a sweet kid! He loves his big brothers fiercely and readily loves on all the girls when they come to visit. He has recently fallen in love with my bff “my Sara” and her 4 little people. He talks about them daily. He is a chatterbox, which is wild to think about because he couldn’t even say the word “no” clearly this time last year. He loves giving out hugs and kisses and saying “I love you”! If someone gets hurt or is upset he is the first one by their side to give a tissue.
