Really sorry to bother you!! But that post about Greek mythology got me thinking like what if Sakura was a daughter of Poseidon I mean water affinity and green eyes??? That sounds like some Percy Jackson shit to me And so umm I was gonna ask if you could possibly write a short prompt about it? Only if you want too tho!! And it’s just an idea so pls don’t feel like you have too!! (P.S. Pompeii is a masterpiece and you’re a great writer!!)

“Stay focused, idiot!”

Naruto starts, lifting his shield just in time to prevent theteeth from tearing him in half.

“Thanks Sasuke!” he exclaims,cartwheeling around and springing into place beyond the reach of the heads.

Who knew hydra were such difficult creatures to deal with?

“Both of you need to payattention,” Kakashi says, eyes not even on the fight as he flips through one ofhis smut books, seated in a folding chair away from the battle. “You know whathappens if you lose this one.”

Naruto and Sasuke look at each other before nodding. Time to getserious.

“What the hell is going onhere?”

Naruto turns to the abrupt distraction, hissing through his teethas one of the hydra’s heads finally landed a hit, sinking its teeth into hisshoulder. He ignores the sting, eyes on the newcomer.

She is short and compact, tank top and denim shorts displaying hermuscles. Her pink hair flutters freely, strands dancing across the baseball batfilled with nails that rests against her shoulder.

Huh.

She catches sight of Naruto, cursing profusely as she strikes outat the head still lodged against Naruto’s flesh. It meets the hydra’sskull with a thunderous crack, knocking the hydra free.

Naruto watches in a daze as the woman darts around, hitting eachof the hydra’s heads directly in their eyes and blinding them. Sasuke, aftertaking a moment to adjust to the surprise of her arrival, shadows her,mirroring her movements. Naruto clutches his shoulder, sitting heavily as theviscous purple of the hydra’s blood begins mixing with her pastel hair.

The beast moans as she blinds it, leaving it incapacitated. Narutosees her sigh, falter for a brief moment, before speaking over her baseballbat. It flashes, extending into an axe almost as tall as she is. She pops thecork off a vial with her teeth, pouring it over the head of the axe.

It bursts into flames.

The woman sneaks past the blinded heads, raises the axe, andstrikes through the neck of the hydra. It releases a haunting scream, burstinginto golden sand. The woman stands from where she struck it, balancing theflaming axe against her shoulder. She turns to Sasuke.

“What the hell were you doing?”

“Fighting a hydra,” he replies,giving her a look that questions her intelligence.

“And you!” She turns to Naruto.The anger on her face twists to concern as she takes in his fallen and slumpedposture. “Which head were you bitten by?” she asks, kneeling at his side.

“The scales were…orange Ithink?” Naruto says, face pale as he clutches at his shoulder. “Why?”

She curses again, rifling through the pouch at her hip. “That onesecretes poison. Boy, come assist me.”

Sasuke’s mouth twists at that. “I’m not a boy,” he grumbles, obeying herorder. He watches her pull multiple vials free from the pouch. “My name isSasuke Uchiha.”

Her hands pause for a moment before she shakes her head. “I won’tremember your name, boy.” She lifts free a candle. “Hold this.”

Sasuke takes it. “The polite thing to do would be to tell me your name.”

“Whenever did I give you theimpression I was polite?” she asks with arched eyebrows.

“Please,” Naruto says, graspingher hand.

She sighs. “I’m Sakura Haruno. Will your mentor be assisting us?” shecontinues in a raised voice.

“The trial isn’t over,” hereplies, seemingly unconcerned. However, Sasuke can see that he’s put the bookdown and is watching quite intently. “You seem rather knowledgeable about monsters.”

Sakura hums, focused on mixing a faintly glowing paste in water.It dissolves, leaving the water with a light luminescence. “Light thecandle,” she says.

Sasuke does so, as Sakura upends a portion of the water onto thewound.

“Drink the rest of this,”Sakura says, lifting the bottle to Naruto’s lips. She holds his hand as hegulps it down.

Sasuke watches in amazement as the purple lining Naruto’s veinsrecedes, the poison rising to the wound. Sakura quickly pulls out anotherbottle of water, pouring it over the fizzling wound. She examines it for amoment before nodding.

“That should be enough,” Sakurasays.

“Thank you,” Naruto sayssoftly.

“What the hell were you twodoing?” she demands.

“They were completing theirtrial of proving,” Kakashi says, sauntering over, folding chair under his arm. “Thanksto you, they succeeded.”

“What they did while you sat idly by was agitate an adolescent hydra into afrenzy, leaving me with no choice but to end it.” Her voice shakes slightly andNaruto wonders if she’s about to cry. “That hydra has lived here for nearly adecade, I would know; I had a hand in raising him. When he comes back, I doubtit’ll be here.” Her mouth twists. “I don’t even blame him.”

“Whose daughter are you?”Naruto asks excitedly. “With the healing I’d guess Apollo but with the skillwith weaponry I’d say Ares or Hephaestus. I’m a son of Apollo so it’d be coolif we’re related. Kakashi is a son of Hermes and Sasuke is a son of Ares.”

Sasuke cuffs Naruto. “Don’t go dispensing otherpeople’s information, idiot!” he exclaims before looking at Sakura. “Why don’tyou return to camp with us? You were useful in that battle.”

“Camp?” Sakura scoffs. “I don’tthink so.”

She packs away her items, standing to her feet. “If you knowwhat’s good for you, you’ll head back to that camp of yours soon. Sun’s goingdown. I know a litter of Cerberus’s will be coming out to play soon.”

So saying she turns, walking away as she raises a hand infarewell.

Kakashi watches her go, a contemplative look on his face. “I wonder…”

“What is it Kakashi?” Sasukeasks.

“Nothing,” Kakashi says, shaking his head. It wasonly an unconfirmed rumor after all. Still, if Poseidon had a child… “Let’s goreport back to Tsunade. We’re coming back on a field trip soon.”

I saw you rb a SaiSaku post and was curious if you had any fanfic recs for this rarepair?!

Do I have?!!!!! I am currently binging this ship so you couldn't have asked this at better time.

This pair is not a crack ship! Crack would mean they have not shared more than two words with each other. But SaiSaku interactions always bordered on romance and best friends who don't act like it. Not only Sakura was the first person to acknowledge Sai had human side to him and bonded with him over his painting, Sai was also the only person outside Sasuke (in part 1) to be able tell her fake smiles and he always understood her feelings better than other characters. Had Sakura ever only cared for good looks (something she don't) then with Sai she'd get that and so much more.

I have always considered SaiSaku as the next best thing after NaruSaku. They had too much potential as a couple. I am not bitter that InoSai became a thing but looking at them I only feel that "Ino didn't get Sasuke so she get his look-alike." Besides, Sai gave people nicknames that are opposites to what actually feels about them – Naruto as Dickless, Sakura as Hag/Ugly and Ino as Beautiful – which makes it worse. Both Ino and Sai deserve better than this. If Kishi has shown them together more often or had interactions between them similar to SaiSaku then I can understand why Ino is his light. I guess it is also SP's fault for showing them in different light. For all SP hates Sakura, they enjoy messing up with her fans by feeding them false hope.

Whenever I want to read something hilarious but deep, SaiSaku is my to-go couple. Usually angsty, or full bout of insults and punches. There's no in between with them.

A Crack Humor one-shot Drabble

A little Love note to MultiSaku and AkatSaku

“Of all things I would have wanted you to inherit Sarada, this certainly was not one of them.” Sakura told her daughter as the pink haired woman was trying to console her daughter, stroking her back. As much as Sarada took after her father in looks, Sarada was all Sakura. 

The teenager could only cuddle into her mother. “I just don’t understand how this could have happened mom.”

Sakura sighed, “It’s hard to explain it Sarada but these things can happen to people, it happened to me”

Sarada’s situation couldn’t certainly be helped by the fact that the Uchiha was growing into an extremely beautiful woman, naturally it was going to cause some problems.  Just as it had for Sakura. 

Sakura could feel the impending headache as she thought back to her younger days when the boys made themselves crazy over her. Sakura never told Sarada the full extent of how the rivalries those boys held for her. 

Sarada only knew about her father and Naruto fought over her however Sakura didn’t dare mention, there was also a few others such as Sarada’s Uncle Itachi, Shisui, Obito, Kakashi and even Madara but there were also some of Itachi’s other friends, Pein, Sasori, Deidara, Kisame and Hiden.

Not that Sakura ever mentioned it to anyone she could have sworn Itachi’s only other female friend Konan would check her out from time to time. 

Sakura was secretly flattered by this. 

Sarada is never going to find out about any of them.  Last thing she wanted for her daughter was complex or her daughter thinking her mother was a slut for unwittingly attracting too many males. Sakura merely shook the thought from her mind. Now that thought was going a bit far, even for her. 

But this wasn’t about Sakura anymore, it was her daughter’s turn go through this madhouse of affections. 

And that it came in the form of her teammates and friends, Boruto, Mitisuki, Shikadei, Inojin, and Metal Lee. 

Now Sakura’s only current problem was how to break this news to Sasuke. “Mom, how’d you solve this problem?” the teen questioned her mother. 

Giving her only daughter a smile, “Well as you already know that your father and Naruto, were rivals ever since we were kids and they certainly fought and competed over nearly everything, including me. But as we were getting older, I was getting so fed up with it. That I decided to end the fight over me, myself” “What did you do mom?”

“Now I’m not going to pretend I had some great big plan but I played it by ear. I would go on dates with both of them and we saw how things would go from there,”

“And then what mama?” “As for Naruto by the third date, we just weren’t clicking in that way, Naruto thought we would. You see over time, Naruto felt like a brother to me and naturally he realized that I was more like a sister to him.” Sakura explained to her daughter

“Did you guys kiss?”

“If you’re asking if ‘Uncle’ Naruto was my first kiss, No he wasn’t. But we did share a kiss or two. And it felt weird to us Sarada, That’s how we came to realize our relationship with each other had changed. 

“So it was Papa then that was your first kiss” Sarada concluded.

“…Yeah…”  Sakura could hear her inner laughing at her response,

 “Outer-Chan you liar”

“You shut up” Sakura responded to Inner.

“Our first kiss Outer-Chan, I remember like it was yesterday. Us and Itachi in a secluded hallway of the Uchiha manor.  Our back pressed into the wall as his body covered ours. Then If I recall correctly Outer-Chan you’re the one who closed the gap between your mouths.”

“I don’t recall”

“And you were also the one who slipped him some tongue”

Sakura’s face turned tomato red at the true fact, she’s trying hard to deny.   “Just a shame, you guys only made it to third base, I mean the man must have been an incubus in a prior life, because what he could with just his hands, imagine the rest of what he could have done to this body” Inner Sakura said

Biting her bottom lip, Sakura was trying not to remember that or think of the ‘what ifs’ of that night. “I loathe you”

“Mama?” Sarada calling out to her mother, who was lost in thought. 

“Yes, sweetie”

“Were you thinking about your kiss with papa” Sarada asked with that childlike gleam in her eyes.

“Oh Crap, I can’t resist that face” 

“…Yes…”

“Lying again, Outer-Chan”

“So then you went out with Papa, right Mama?”

“Yes, we did Sarada”

“And then there was that time you guys broke up for a little while and well which lead to a very interesting nights with Kakashi” Inner Sakura chimed in. “You’re despicable.”

“And to cut a long story short, I married your father and everything else eventually just fell into place” Sakura partially lying to her child. 

None of them had taken it well.  

In fact several attempts on Sasuke’s life had occurred at the time.  Family occasions at the Uchiha household were always so uncomfortable. 

Nonetheless everyone played nice for Sarada’s sake as it would have been hard to explain to then young Sarada.

“Yeah that Uncle Itachi was her almost Daddy” Inner Sakura joked.

And all that information on her encounters with Itachi, Kakashi and any other man will be taken to Sakura’s grave. 

“Really?”

“Yeah, it’ll just take some time sweetie, trust me” Sakura advised her daughter

And if Inner Sakura had the ability to, she would have died of laughter.
