ALERT: MASSIVE EXPERIMENT FAILURE. ANYONE NEAR OUR HQ IS POSSIBLY IN DANGER.
This is Gregor M., Head of PR, and this is fucking urgent. I've forwarded alerts to Ranger stations around the area to get their shit together and come help.
I was told not to let word get out to anyone besides the Rangers, and I'm probably going to be fired, but this is just that important!
Read this very clearly, start to finish. At 9:47 A.M. GST (Galar Standard Time), Project Recovery officially began testing. Our first subject was a Parasect, missing a claw and several legs due to a battle gone horribly wrong. The replacement DNA strands, taken from a Venisaur, were inserted, taking over the defective DNA that only allowed the Parasect (like most other creatures that aren't Grass types) to scar over wounds...
Except it didn't take over. They fucking, according to our best theories, fused together and somehow, some way, that fuse melded the entirety of the Parasect's DNA with the entirety of a Venusaur's DNA, despite the fact only a fraction of Venusaur DNA was ever used.
Mind you, this is theoretical, we have no idea what actually happened, but that's the best guess we can take. It's happened before, back in the infancy of our company when we were just a small group of crackshot scientists trying out crazy theories to see what stuck... But never the entirety of a Pokemon fusing. At worst, it was a fusion of coloration, patterns, maybe even facial structure. But that was it.
All cameras began to malfunction during the test for an unknown reason and eventually ceased to function entirely.
So, something happened with the experiment, and now that that entire wing of the main building has been locked down, we're not going to be able to understand until the Rangers arrive. It's not been that long, and the only reports we received were from people who ran- barely getting a look at whatever happened. All we know is that whatever had gone wrong was occurring with the Parasect and that it was starting to seize and lash out.
So for the love of Arceus, get out of here. We knew the possibilities and errors that could be made, and thought we were prepared. None of you are knowledgeable of this kind of stuff, and if whatever happened to the Parasect is genuinely dangerous, I'd never be able to cope with someone getting hurt by this entire situation.
This is a certifiable PR Disaster, but fuck it, let the disaster come, and get the hell away from the Synthesis Association HQ in Northeast Galar, and get to the exact opposite side of Wyndon. I'll see if I can't get any alerts discretely sent out over TV and radio, so stay tuned if you still have a radio or TV.

In my head, Ogerpon is an RPG protagonist with:
a "fantasy-forbidding" single mother who was the hero of her own story, during which Ogerpon was adopted, and refuses to let Ogerpon on the battlefield,
older siblings who nudge her towards her dreams, even if it means disobeying their mother, and younger siblings who offer battle experience via actual battles,
an absent father she's only ever met like three times, but whose presence is felt in how her mother's treatment of her is informed by his absence, who left mostly because he got mind-controlled by the big bad, and
a nemesis who was responsible for the death of her first family and the separation of her second family, whom she ends up fighting with the power of love and family and The Cudgel

how do i enable voicelines?
If you mean the option for ghosts to use voice synthesis, it can be activated from the right click menu! Just right click a ghost, go to the Utilities tab, and select Voice synthesis.

You can click this option again to turn it off when you're done with it.
There is also the "Speech" tab of the SSP preferences, where you can change which voice you want to use, what pitch to use, and the volume and speed of the voice.

Introduction.
Before anything, it is highly advised that you read the About Us page we have setup; Otherwise, unless you already know of our organization, you will be lost and generally confused.
With that in mind, after careful deliberation between our CEO, our Council, and our Head Researchers, it has been determined that the best course of action would be to expand our social media influence, and so, we have created this blog.
This blog will be ran interchangeably by Head Researcher Timur (an alias used by me), Councilwoman Violetta (another alias, used by a member of the Council), and, occasionally, even Professor Eden herself!
It is our mission here to spread word of our organization, to spread awareness of our projects, and to simply involve the wider world in the joys of science!
With that said, we have several new and big projects coming up, all of which we would like to share with you; However, keep in mind that not everything is disclosable to the public.
It's just the nature of such things, that the public can't know everything- but I do hope that our leashes aren't held too tight by Professor Eden: Afterall, I greatly enjoy sharing our advancements and discoveries with those who may previously have never even thought about what we research, here at the Synthesis Association!

Hello. I am currently seeking out fellow researchers, like myself, or simple 'mon-enthusiasts to answer a question of importance.
We all know hybrids are probable, but what do you think of, or better stated, how would you feel about the idea of fused 'mon? We know that it's possible, with beings such as Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom. Although, they are three of the only naturally-fusing 'mons I have come across.
Do you think it's possible that others exist, whether that be naturally or unnaturally?

I'm... not actually sure how I feel about fused pokemon.
I don't know much about Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom. But, from what I know, it fuses with Reshiram/Zekrom because it holds the gene for Dragon-type fusions.
But if it's the gene, does that mean other pokemon can fuse if the gene is awakened?
Look. I have a habit of making things more complicated when I awnser shit, but I'm going to try to explain my reasoning. I do think that fusion pokemon exist in the "wild." The paradox pokemon, Iron Valient, is a fusion of gardevoir and gallade. But, that pokenon is from the future. And it becomes fairy/fighting type as well. But the thing is: it's very robotic. And while a lot of robotic pokemon exist, a lot of them were man made as well. But we haven't seen the future with these paradox pokemon come from. How do we know that iron Valiant is natural? It could be man-made for all we know.
Final awnser: Pokemon have the gene to be able to fuse, but unless we awaken it, I don't think it'd be possible (other than for the three you mentioned)

How to make a powerful, hot vampire you still want to hug
Hi tumblr! I'm Cyrus Nemati, creative director at Little Bat Games, and a voice actor you might know from games likes Hades (I did the really secure guy and the really insecure guy).
We're closing in on the release of our debut title, Vampire Therapist, and based on tumblr's response in the past, I think you might be interested in seeing our creative process.

Andromachos is our 3000-year-old vampire mentor you'll meet early in Vampire Therapist. He's a complicated character: he was an assassin and warrior for most of his 3000 years, but a personal crisis put him on a voyage of self-discovery in the 1800s. Therapy never existed in his time, but as it developed, so did he. We needed a character who expressed wisdom and strength, but also gentleness and compassion. And of course, he's a vampire in a sexy vampire game. He needed to look like a Mediterranean dream.

This was our initial sketch of Andromachos by art director Ruth Bosch (https://x.com/rthbosch). As you can see, he's already oozing confident vampire energy, and he clearly has the wisdom of 3000 years. This is someone you want as your therapist. Vampire Therapist is a game with specific needs, and a certain lightheartedness is one of them. This Andromachos is very much grounded in reality, and just might be *too* realistically sexy.

This was @nomnomroko's first test render for Andromachos before joining the team. Right away, she understood the *figure* of Andromachos and poise of a man who has lived for 3000 years, but this was a more villainous (albeit super hot character). We toned him down shortly after, and brought back in some of the more grounded humanity from Ruth's initial sketch. You can make fan art of this version, though, we won't mind. This version might come back if we ever do a prequel!

Here's his toned down version, already much closer to the Andromachos we see in the final game. He's lost none of his power, but is already the welcoming presence we needed to have in Vampire Therapist.

Body language is also a key aspect of our game. In a game about therapy, we are mostly sitting, so the ways we can express emotion and intention are more subtle. You can already see the strength of Andromachos's character here.

I love Andromachos. Or Andy, as more familiar folk call him. And I think you will, too. To me, he's a perfect synthesis between Ruth's initial rendering and Sybille's test that fits the comedic, warm, and very human tone of our game.

Some notes under the snacking issue of Sebastian post caused my brain to weeoweeo it way too much than I expected, so well here are the continuing of topic xd
Sorry it's an essay because I can't write succinctly
1. How did the evil corporation(insert it’s name please) feed?
As far as I’m concerned, the shady corpo experimented on him to check/make people to able to breathe under water. Keeping him alive was quite crucial to success so I think they would provided him with proper amount of of food or at least the full nutrient content preparation. However, it changed when his body started to rapidly mutate, grow and evolve into what he’s now. The vast increase in his need of food and the fact that the gills didn’t develop very well, due to the scientists not very smart move - mixing his DNA with atmospheric oxygen snake and whale, caused the team to shrink his portion and gave him bare minimum in form of drip-feed… Auch
2. How didn’t he die from literally any nutrient deficiency sickness?
As I said it before I do not know the lore very much only basis. So forgive if I mess up some facts about the events. Going back to topic, after the event of beating the life out of his guards/special troops everyone left the lab immediately. Leaving everything behind including the rations, which were sent there for the staff to eat, all kind of medicine - pills, drops, syrups, injections etc. and whatever crops left( no idea if in the game is any „farm” but the transport would be extremely expensive so I think they would love to slash costs especially when there are vertical farms which are efficient, cheap and easy to maintain and during evacuation they could simply destroy it if nothing like this exists there). He simply gain most of crucial elements via all those supplements. Especially via drips which are the least painful without activating all digestive track. I like to think the reason why his extra arm is in the bandages is the fact that he often injects himself with various needles and his veins are in horrible state. At some point point all these supplements will end and it won’t end well for him, but not yet. That’s solves a bit the issue of lack of scurvy, nyctalopia and any other issues alike. 3. Another snacking issue
He is in constant state of hunger. No escape from it. The small human stomach ruthlessly dictates the size of his next snack and for how long he cannot eat, because it’s full, but it’s better to have at least one full than none. That could cause another big issue which is connected with the unconditional reflex - food in mouth equals activiting the synthesis of digestive enzymes and HCl in both tracks at the same time. Both are connected to one nervous system and the information goes to both, no matter if only one should start working. Not good situation, one belly is digesting itself,easy way to get ulcers or esophagitis, which not only are extremely painful but also deadly especially in his case with no health care or even chance to get any. He had to figure it out quite quickly how to make his eating as harmless as it’s possible. The easiest way I think would be simply some herby stomach drop, the one which highers the ph and stops HCl from being created. But I fear it works on human part- So he had to create strict timetable - when he eats, when he takes drops, when he can eat again. To keep the snake stomach in check and never letting it be fully empty and miraculously avoid the sinister autodigestive ideas of snake element. So his best friend is a tiny bottle of disgusting drops from a nurse office

4. How not to starve to death with body like that?
Dense soup. Maximum proteins in the smallest velocity and in easy to consume and digest way. It passes both stomachs faster because tough long chains are already broken into smaller ones so it can be faster absorbed and used. It’s also very easy to make and can contain many ingredients giving the biggest diversity in one sip. Still starves because it’s not enough, but there is no better way :”)

And no he wouldn't threaten anyone that he would add them to his soup. He was a human and he exactly knows there are too many weird fellas out there. No way he'll risk getting new traumatic event, he won't take it anymore-

Hello. I represent Team Synthesis (The Synthesis Association, more officially), as the current head of PR.
Our goal is to map out the genetics of all known lifeforms, in order to ensure a better, safer future with less suffering in it. Genetically inherited illnesses, cancer, unwanted disorders (with one's permission of course), and mutations of several sorts. That is what we want to solve, both among people and Pokemon; We wish to simply ease the amount of suffering in the world by advancing science to never before seen heights.
And to accomplish the main aspect of our mission, we are very interested in experimenting with Ultrabeasts. It would be very helpful for us to study the alien genetics of a species not of this world, afterall. It might give us greater insight into genetics than we have ever known!
Would you, perhaps, be interested in a partnership? Depending on the routes your organization would want to follow, our areas of research could beautifully intertwine and benefit both of our organizations greatly.

pathologic 3 save & sound 2024 presentation
this is a quick attempt at a transcript of the presentation. I think I got most of it but there are some words I was unable to hear, I can't say I have a lot of practice doing this and that's on me so if any of you guys can help me I'll edit it asap

Ressa Schwarzwald: I'm Ressa from Gameowdio. Our team has been working on Pathologic 3 with Vasily Kashnikov and his apprentice Nikolai. This video will feature some of the audio stuff we've made together.
Our goal regarding audio direction was to give the real experience of being in the epicenter of an epidemic. Fully realistic, no bullshit. So we are obviously shooting this video in The Town. We realized pretty early that the game was quite different from the original Pathologic 2 because of the time travel mechanics. So for the prototype we built a time travel machine [the date November 1924 shows on screen], which appeared to be quite useful to record some source sounds, and [date changes to November 3024] make this video in just half a second using existing technology.
Let's start with the music.

Vasily Kashnikov: Hi, I'm Vasily Kashnikov, audio director of Pathologic 3 project. I'll tell you how our music is structured. We were already thinking about how the Bachelor's game would sound when we were working on Patholgic 2 and writing music for Haruspex. In Pathologic 2, the music had more ethnic and real motives (motifs?) and instruments. Since the city and its customs are familiar with Haruspex since he was a child, he is involved in the traditional way of life. In the case of Pathologic 3, this is the view of an outsider who evaluates everything from the point of view of rationality and science. Therefore, we are trying to make the Pathologic 3 soundtrack colder and more detached from the steppes and ethnicity in character. There is more synthesis, guitars at the same time, the Bachelor communicates with those in power so the soundtrack contains a large share of minimalist so-called furniture music that could sound in the beginning of the last century. Piano etudes and references to composers of that time: Satie, Debussy, etc. The soundtrack is a rather eclectic mix of dreampop, downtempo, and (?) minimalism.

In the city when the Bachelor is alone with himself, we emphasize the cold mind of the rhythm section: less emotional harmony, and sometimes electronic timbres. In the rooms where we need to separate the main character from those he interacts with, we use more expressive harmonies and more classical instruments: piano and guitar passages.
When we designed the interactive music system, we assumed that time is finite, and the music had to change depending on the amount of time the Bachelor had left. However, we later abandoned this system and now the music changes depending on the state of the Bachelor himself, who can fall into apathy or psychosis. To emphasize these states, we apply filters and effects to different layers of our tracks and get a slower, muffled sound in the case of apathy, and wired (?) nervous, glitchy in the case of psychosis. In the infected quarters, there are interactive systems that... [screen begins to distort] oh my god, Nataliya! Please stop this!
Nataliya Radina: Whoops, hehe, sorry. But yeah, basically the other system we created reflects everything you hear in the game. Such as... If we use our gun when dealing with the local thugs, the longer we aim the weapon at the people, the less sounds of the outside world we hear and the louder becomes the heartbeat. To add to the intensity, sharper tone was used along with a high pitch tinnitus sound. If the psychosis level goes to the maximum, it starts to damage Bachelor's health, which is accompanied by flashes on the screen, as well as low heartbeat and short breathing sounds.

Vasily Kashnikov: In the infected and rebel's quarters, there are also interactive systems that change the character of the music by adding or disabling instrument layers depending on the state of the world or the Bachelor's equipment to fight the plague. As a result, we have 12 tracks for each day spent in the city. they can freely switch between each other and several dozen themes for locations and characters, and all the music is subject to change depending on the state of the Bachelor.

Nataliya Radina: Since the game has a weather changing system, we also wanted to reflect that in our audio feedback as well. The game has global wetness parameter that shows how intense the rain is. The more it rains, the more squishy and muddy are the steps of the outside surfaces. Moreover, if you come closer to the window, you can hear the rain pondering on the glass. Even in the middle of the plague, we always have room for cozy moments, right? My favorite part of that system is involving cows. [cow moo]. So, when it's raining, you can actually hear very very soft sound of raindrops dropping on those bovine butts. And I personally think it's beautiful.
Artur Ramanouski: Hi, my name is Artur, and I was also involved in creating some sound assets for the game.

Probably the hardest thing to record were the footsteps. I had everything planned out: bought the equipment, got every type of surface, but...there was one small thing I overlooked: I live in a city with over 12 million people. Noise everywhere. The solution was simple and ingenious: I recorded everything on a Sunday, because in Buenos Ares, Sunday is the one day when no one does anything.

Nataliya Radina: One of the most important places in the game is the cathedral. There we have a system of ladders that control the speed and direction of time. Direction wise, we can have it flow normally, or reversed. [entire presentation is rewound very quickly so it's back to Ressa]
Ressa Schwarzwald: She is super professional.
Nataliya Radina: As for the speed, we can make it stand still, go twice as fast, or half normal speed. We created an audio system that has to (?) understand what is actually happening around (inaudible). When we reverse time, spatial effects are added to the surrounding sounds. Ambience, steps, and the mechanism itself. When time stands still, we increase the low frequencies in the ambience, and all the other sounds are muted to zero. Now lastly, when the time goes twice as fast, or half the original speed, the pitch of the surrounding sound changes accordingly.
The coolest part of this system is that it's been actually implemented into the game engine using only one parameter.

I really love the concept of an Atsushi / Akutagawa / Kyouka trio as it was shown in Dead Apple, and I really wish it would become a thing. I think it's neat how here Kyouka's dominant color is shown being purple as balance / synthesis of blue and red. Kyouka also uses as this kind of bridge between organizations since she was a member of both at some point, and still holds a very deep understanding of how they work. I think Kyouka could really make the sskk team work as a way to find balance between these two opposites that would otherwise clash and destroy each other.

Ink and Dream's designs for Parallel Synthesis!

Parallel Synthesis Info Dump: Star Sanses Edition!
As the only mortal of the group, Blue serves as the "heart" and moral compass, and keeps the other two grounded.
Dream is the moral compass in a more figurative sense; his role as the Guardian of Positivity lets him naturally be kind and helpful and do the right thing, but often it's doing good for good's sake. He is prone to overworking and overextending himself because of this.
Dream sometimes still sees things from a more "black and white" perspective (Nightmare too but he's had 400+ years of experience over his brother AND lives with way more mortals). It's Blue who has to remind Dream that being selfish and choosing yourself isn't necessarily a bad thing, and that not everything is "black and white".
Ink proposed the team idea. He invited Dream, and later on Blue, under the condition that Blue would still return and play his part in his AU. Blue, of course, agreed.
Ink and Blue tend to bounce off of each other's energy; when one is hype the other gets hype as well. Ink is easily excitable and Blue likes to match the energy of who he's with.
Ink and Blue both prefer to be straightforward, whether it be with their feelings or with how they approach others. When Ink has issues with his emotions, Blue would help him process them through simple explanations and blunt but kind words.
Their main goal is to keep the peace in the AUs. Their missions can vary from keeping the AUs safe (from danger outside of the script) and fighting Nightmare's gang (though with less animosity after the truce), to mundane things like general community service and answering calls of help from people who know of them. Because of this, they get a lot busier than the gang, who go on missions usually more for personal gain.
