New one-night show this August: Summer TA Party 2021

The concert will take place August 23rd at Tokyo's Team Smile Toyosu PIT. Attendance will open to Japan-based TeamAyu members only, and they have not yet announced a stream for fans who can't attend in person. Members who have been in the fan club for more than 5 years will have the option to purchase platinum seats that are closer to the stage. Both regular and platinum seats will be 7700 yen and come with an event-themed uchiwa.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the venue will be at half capacity and attendees will be temperature checked at the door.

34-year-old singer/actress/otaku idol Shoko Nakagawa, aka Shokotan, held her "Shoko Nakagawa Birthday LIVE 2019 ~Dream Notes~" concerts at Team Smile Toyosu PIT (capacity: 1,328) in Tokyo twice (15:00/18/30) on May 5. She was born in Tokyo on May 5, 1985. It was her 12th birthday concert since her singer debut in 2006, and was also her first concert in the Reiwa era. Sony Music Labels provided us photos from the sold-out special concerts. 

      Since May 5 was also "Children's Day" in Japan, 80 children were invited to her concerts.

■ FTISLAND / Single "Paradise" Interview (1/2)

This year, FTISLAND who has just celebrated their 10th debut anniversary in Korea, is releasing their 17th single, “Paradise”. A song that Hongki composed and wrote while imagining the sea, Paradise is a love song with a grand atmosphere. On that Hongki, ”It is a song that I hope you can listen to while imagining the face of that someone that you want to listen to it together with. Regardless of my intention while making it, I want everyone to listen to it freely.” Furthermore, they also talked about their new song, Paradise, and the secret of FTISLAND’s good relationship in this 10th debut anniversary of theirs.

For Paradise, regardless of my intention as I made it, I want you to listen to it freely.

――Paradise. a song that Hongki composed and wrote, is a love song with a grand atmosphere, can you tell us about the theme?

Hongki: The first theme that came into my head when I just started making the song was paradise, so I decided to have it as the title. From there, as I pictured sea in my head, I think that’s why the song turned out to be grand.

Seunghyun: I think it is a perfect song for summer. It is a relaxing song, it would be nice to listen to it before sleeping.

Jaejin: We have been trying out various rock style lately, but rather than straight and hard rock, a rock that has various genres mixed in it is more popular all over the world. Paradise seems to fit such trend for now. Honestly, as it is not a hard song, at first, I thought that it might not be so FTISLAND. But as I listened more to it, I thought of.. “ahh.. it is a nice song”. I think it is a nice-to-listen-to song.

――Paradise is a song that is the result of a collaboration with overseas writers, which usual from the usual Hongki team. 

Hongki: That’s right. I did the recording in Japan, but I thought that working together with professionals from overseas will be an opportunity to study too, so everyone in my team went. It was amazing! They understood what I was talking about right away, and even gave me ideas on what to do next. So fast!

――What kind of things that you studied?

Hongki: The first thing that I really felt was so different was the selection of timbre. I learned to use something that I usually wouldn’t use in the past, be it snare, kick, or synth effect. So I feel like I have broadened the way I see myself too. 

――So with this, are you planning to do something new too with your team?

Hongki: Well, my team is my team, so we will do whatever we like (laughs). But it was fun.

――I thought you meant Primadonnas with the word “you” in the song, but did you write it for some certain person?

Hongki: This is not a song that I made thinking of someone specific, or that I made intentionally for someone. I want you to listen to it while thinking of someone that you would like to listen to it together with, it is all up to the listeners. Regardless of the intention that I had while making this song, I want you to listen to it freely.

――Speaking of FTISLAND’s paradise, as expected, it would be live performances, right? As FTISLAND AUTUMN TOUR 2017 -Here is Paradise- will start in Toyosu Pit on September 7, in what moment during lives that you feel the most happiness?

Jonghoon: Indeed, lives are our paradise. I only wear one ear-monitor, so that, I can still hear everyone’s voices in the hall. Listening to everyone’s cheers, I feel energized, and it feels like there is this power that comes into my performance. More than anything else, I think I feel the happiest when I see fans’ smile.

――Talking about lives, it has now become a custom for Jaejin to shout “Everyone, thank you!!” in the end of every concert without any mic. What mad you start doing it?

Jaejin: During lives, situations might come up that hinder us from giving our best performance. So, I thought of what I can do so I can convey to the fans that I feel sorry about it. When I first did it, I got goosebumps. It became a “scene” for a moment, so I felt that it was nice. I feel alive when I do it, so I started doing it every time.

"Kemono Friends" Dobutsu BiscuitsxPPP's 2nd Single & Album Go on Sale on December 12

It has been confirmed that the second single "Fure! Fure! Best Friends" and the second character song album "Japari Cafe 2" from the Kemono Friends anime franchise are set to be released in Japan simultaneously on December 13, 2017. The news was revealed at the "Kemono Friends LIVE" concert held at Tokyo Team Smile Toyosu PIT on Saturday, September 16. 

  "Fure! Fure! Best Friends," the second single performed by the three members of Doubutsu Biscuits and the five of PPP (PENGUINS Performance Project/PePaPu), is newly written/composed/arranged by Oishi Masayaoshi, who previously worked on the TV anime's OP song "Yokoso Japari Park he." It will be featured as the theme song for the upcoming social game Kemono Friends Pavilion to be available by the end of this year. The single also includes two new songs performed by each units.

  In addition to solo songs by PPP and Small-clawed otter, "Japari Cafe 2" also includes duet songs by

many pairs of the anime characters, such as Serval with Kaban, Raccoon with Fennc, Prof. Konoha with

Mimi-chan assistant, and Silver Fox with Ezo Red Fox.

Sorry, I have been taking a break from my greeting words but I am officially back now! I was a bit worried and wondered if it would be okay if I tried to take a little break but now I guess I have composed myself and I am ready to get back to it…*laughs* Today on March 3, Kalafina took part in the event “SPICE (powered by e+) presents Songful day -Jigen wo Tsumugu Uta no Kioku- @Ryōgoku Kokugikan!! Everyone who came to see us at the venue, thank you! Everyone who provided moral support from afar, thank you! There are many wonderful anisong events out there but there are not really any “quiet” ones are there? With this thought in mind, SPICE organised all of this and we had the honour of performing at the very first event of this kind! The participating artists were Minori Chihara-san, May’n-san and Kalafina. We were told the following, "We narrowed it down to just three participants because we wanted to make sure there’s enough time dedicated to all of you so the audience can fully enjoy the music of each individual artist.” It is a true privilege to be chosen amongst such a fine selection of artists! At our first meeting, we talked about the theme of the event, "We want it to feel like you are listening to music while standing in the forest, in a spot that’s illuminated by sunlight filtering through the trees.” With this image in mind, we came up with a setlist that fits the current almost spring-like season. 1. Hyakka Ryōran (百火撩乱) MC 2. I Have a Dream 3. storia 4. Hikari no Senritsu (光の旋律) MC 5. Mirai (未来) 6. Alleluia (アレルヤ) MC 7. ring your bell Since this live was all about “quietness“ our songs were performed in an acoustic arrangement with just our voices, a grand piano and a strings quartet. Spinning words, playing melodies, this was something created together with all of you. I think it was a great opportunity to properly reflect upon everything. Thanks to all of you, I shall forever treasure our first live at Ryōgoku Kokugikan! Lastly, we covered a song with all participating artists. Lia-san's "Tori no Uta" which is said to be the national anthem of anisongs. We arranged a calm and gentle version for this event but towards the end with the five of us singing together, with our voices overlapping we ended up singing it much more energetic as if our voices were going into battle. A song that made you feel gently wrapped up in Minori Chihara-san’s strong femininity... A song that made you feel like you were pushed ahead by May’n-san’s strong will to never stop even when in doubt... A song that showcased Wakana-san’s transient and beautiful melodies... A song that resounded deep within your heart thanks to Keiko-san’s soft singing ... As for me, I felt happy that I was able to sing along with them while my ears, no, my entire body could relish their voices (* '꒳ `*) I hope you also enjoyed it ♪ It was a wonderful event overflowing with music! I hope there will be a second one and a third!! In the dressing room these Kokugikan specialties were waiting for us ♪ It’s "Kokugikan" Yakitori! As a chicken lover, I was very grateful for this present! It was delicious! It made me really excited for the performance! Today, the power of chicken was released!! Next up is our appearance at the event 「Toyosu Music Collaboration 〜Team Smile Tohoku Earthquake Reconstruction Support LIVE〜」@Toyosu PIT!
