#team prime probably thought they were the last of the autobots but optimus and bee knew at least *nine* other bots on earth

Lowkey, I think one of my favorite little things about Rescue Bots is how we get to learn a little more about Optimus when he shows up. Like, not war stuff or Orion Pax stuff, but just little things about Optimus.
One of his favorite Earth stories is The Little Engine That Could. Does he read in his spare time and if so, how did he find Little Engine?
He tells Heatwave that he has also been learning from humans. What has he learned? The phrase "Nothing much, double dutch." Who the fuck taught him that? My money's on Miko. Jack would not have the audacity to add that to Prime's vernacular.
He has a motherfuckin' rocket powered car carrier capable of hauling four bots. And since Team Prime had four four-wheelers on the team prior to Darkness Rising, you could reasonably assume that he has used it with Cliff, Bee, Bulk, and Ratch
Optimus knows what a pogo stick is. That isn't anything noteworthy, I just think it's funny.

🟦🤍A Misunderstanding🩵🟥
[Pairing]: TFA Optimus Prime x Cybertronian!Autobot![Reader]
[Synopsis]: [D/N] can’t catch a break from being misidentified for a Decepticon. At least they have someone who understands their struggles as a commander.
[Inspiration]: A request I sent out some time ago and @signedaiko wrote the HCs out. (HCs with the Special Ops![S/O])
[D/N] = Designation (Meaning your name)
[Gender Neutral Reader]
[(A/N)]: Based on Aiko’s HCs, I’m only writing Optimus in this fic because I’m kind of biased. Also, I need to practice writing characters from the TF franchise and TFA O.P. seems like he’s an easy start. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the story.
[WARNING]: Possible misuse of Cybertronian Vocabulary and Terminology (I’m still new to the fandom)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Back when [D/N] was first promoted to their position as Commander of the Information Operations, they were issued to get a paint job with much darker colors since most missions require stealth. The team [D/N] leads and work with are good bots, but the only trouble the whole unit faces sometimes are the misunderstandings from a first glance.]
Random Cybertronian: EHH! DECEPTICON!!!
[D/N]: No, no, no! I’m not a Dece-!
Random Cybertronian: *Whacks them with an alloy pole*
[D/N]: OW!

[It didn’t help when they visit Earth to see their Conjunx Endura. People, especially Detroit citizens, also mistook them for one.]
Random citizen: Call the Autobots! Decepticon on sight!
[D/N]: Wait a klik! I’m not with the bad guys.
[After clearing up the commotion]
Random citizen: I’m so sorry! I thought you were one of those Decepticons.
[D/N]: It’s alright. At least you have good optics if spotting one, but please be sure if you see their Insignia next time.

[It also didn’t help that even the Decepticons on Earth were bewildered to discover that [D/N] is an Autobot.]
Starscream: When did one of our Decepticons switch sides?!
[D/N]: *Enraged* 💢 I AM NOT A DECEPTICON IN THE FIRST PLACE, YOU FRAGGING IDIOTS!!!
The Decepticons: Uh oh.
[D/N]: *Unsheathes their razor neon blades and sprints towards the enemies* AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

[Yeah, from that last battle, [D/N] was on rage mode where they kicked the Decepticons’ afts to the extremes. On their own. Probably put them out of commission for a while. They definitely need private time with their Sparkmate.]
[The Plant: The Autobots’ Secret Base]
[D/N]: Oppy, sweetspark~ *Back-hugs Optimus* My wonderful and lovely conjunx~
Optimus Prime: *Holds their bitarlueus’ carefully and looks back* What is it, [D/N]? You usually call me those names if something is bothering you.
[D/N]: There is. When I retire from the position as commander of my unit, I’m getting a new paint job.
Optimus Prime: Oh, that doesn’t sound bad. Why the sudden thought?
[D/N]: *Vents out from their intake (Sighs)* Almost every bot and person I encounter, they mistake me for a Decepticon. It’s what I get for earning a job where my team and I are required to wear coatings for stealth operations. The tones are too close to the actual faction’s.
Optimus Prime: Well, you also act scary when on duty.
[D/N]: *Pouts* That doesn’t help either.
Optimus Prime: *Chuckles a little* Don’t worry, [D/N]. We know you’re good and just doing your job as a commander. You proved to be a great bot every cycle.
[D/N]: Yeah…But I still remember when Sari and Bee freaked out after seeing me.
Optimus Prime: They didn’t know you’re on our side at that time. Now, they love you for being your true self.
[D/N]: Yeah…Y’know, when I do retire, you wanna help choose which color scheme suits me?
Optimus Prime: Only if you’re comfortable with the choices.
[D/N]: *Smiles at him* You’re so thoughtful, Oppy. I love you.
Optimus Prime: Love you too, [D/N].

[A Few Deca-Cycles Later]
[At Night]
[S/N] = Sparkling’s Name
[S/N]: *Runs up to Optimus on their little pedes* Sire! Sire! Was this Carrier? *Holds up a data-pad with an old image of [D/N] back when they were a commander*
Optimus Prime: “Oh scrap.” Where did you find this? You know your carrier isn’t comfortable talking about their old job yet.
[D/N]: Don’t worry, Oppy. I let them see the ‘pad.
Optimus Prime: [D/N]. I didn’t expect you to tell so soon.
[D/N]: *Shrugs* [S/N] would learn sooner than later. They didn’t believe the image was me and needed your confirmation.
Optimus Prime: Well… *Picks up [S/N] and adjusts his hold* To tell you the truth, that is your carrier.
[S/N]: Really?! They look too scary to be my creator.
[D/N]: *Made an expression on their faceplate that screams, “Even my kid thinks I looked scary.”* ( ̄^ ̄)
Optimus Prime: That’s because back then, Carrier needed to look the part as a leader for their special unit. They have to wear darker coats of paint as their uniform.
[S/N]: Why? No bright colors allowed?
[D/N]: No bright colors, because I had missions where you need to be sneaky. Hiding in the dark and go for the surprise attack! *Starts tickling their Sparkling*
[S/N]: *Laughs from the “attack”* S-Stop! Stop! Can’t vent!
[D/N]: *Stops tickling* Alright, alright. Now, you better get ready for stasis mode since the next cycle is a big one.
[S/N]: *Gasps* I get to visit uncle Bee and uncle Bulk!
[D/N]: That’s right. *Picks them up from Optimus and settles them down* Wash up and maybe we’ll read you a story before berth.
[S/N]: *Nods and hurries off to freshen up*
Optimus Prime: *Hugs [D/N] from behind* You know, I fear next time you need to be called in to resume your duties.
[D/N]: *Leaning in the hug* Don’t worry, Oppy. I’m sure my successor is doing fine as commander and I only come in as a consultant for my former team.
Optimus Prime: If you say so. Then more time between us and see how it plays out.
[D/N]: After reading a story to [S/N], then maybe we’ll see what happens next.
Optimus Prime: *Vents out* Love you, [D/N].
[D/N]: Love you too, Oppy.

Note: I got kinda confused about who was going to react so I choose the bots if that's alright! Hope you enjoy
Note 2: Ratchet and Pharma use to be a thing lol as well mention of DJD
How Tfp! Bots would react to an innocent looking psychopath
Optimus prime
Is friendly at first to you since all neutrals are still good in his eyes. He understands why you don't want to be part of the war
Then... He looks closer at you.
You seem innocent and naive, something that he craves for bots to have. To be blissfully unaware of the war.
But how you optics don't really show your feelings, how you seem like your movement is planned and how your smile never seems genuine if he looks closer at you.
Something is wrong with you.
He brushes it off, in hopes that maybe you've gone through something and need some time to decompress into your normal self.
That's until the team catches you absolutely slaughtering the Vehicons in an emergency mine.
Blue luminous blood splattered on the Rocky walls, intestines and guts seemingly are hanging on the walls. Looking like a grotesque party. Your in the middle, laughing away as you continue punching a Vehicons helm. Their helm already a bloodly mess of wires and metal with no recognizable shape.
He's horrified
Without thought but the need to protect his autobots, he shoots you. And he shoots again, again and again.
Some hitting you, some missing but with a hiss, he has your attention.
You smile and wave.
Instantly you transform and run off.
Arcee
Did not at all like you not because your a neutral, well... That was one thing. But anyway, she like Optimus saw something wasn't quite right with your body language.
You remind her of arachnid, she wonders if you two having connection after the incident. She'd never seen Prime just shoot first and ask questions later.
Will probably kill you on sight now
Bumblebee
Was so friendly to you since he didn't have enough experience in perceiving body language or subtle statements. He was quite easy for you to persuade.
Absolutely horrified by you know, he'll probably have nightmares about the murder scene he saw for eons.
Has to explain to the kids that you quite literally worse than the Decepticons and if you are spotted to come comm the team.
Ratchet
Just like Bee know, he's going to become a helicopter parent to the kids. Hes just so paranoid of new people now. He let you in. He thought he maybe had a chance with you. That you're so kind to him.
He should've known better than to trust a neutral!
He's reminded of the DJD, sparkeaters and even his ex, Pharma.
He shivers at the list of atrocities he has seen.
Bulkhead
That was a surprise to him, he didn't really see it coming. He thought you were quite innocent.
Oh, how you played him like a professional you are.
How close you got to Miko, tugs at his spark. How you were so close to extinguishing the one of the last wreckers he knew, so know he guards Miko and the rest of the kids. Just like Ratchet but much worse now.
Bee will tell the kids not to do something, while Ratchet with micro manage them and Bulkhead will simply try to persuade them not do something
Basically your are either murderous to the killer or you become helicopter parent of the kiddies lol
Feel free to request!

Chance and Unlikely Circumstance 3/6
Previous Part AO3 Link Next Part
An unexpected, but welcomed, routine was formed.
Tenuous, in nature; Smokescreen was never sure if after each clandestine, midnight race with K.O. would be the last. He was waiting for the night he’d show up and there’d be nothing with dusty wind and sand to greet him. He knew it would come one day. No one stuck around long and even when he tried Smokescreen knew he wasn’t the most likable of bots; he was annoying, abrasive, over-eager and maybe a little socially illiterate. It was only a matter of time before K.O. smartened up and left him in the dust and Smokescreen was waiting for it.
Yet, every time he pulled up to that lonely stretch of highway, glimmering shiny red greeted him with a winking flicker of headlights. Teasing words and taunting revs made awful hope bloom in Smokescreen’s chassis that maybe they could be friends.
That being said, he had still yet to win a race. He’d gotten close quite a few times, but just when he thought this time might be it , sleek red would flash past him with graceful ease.
He had an inkling suspicion that K.O. liked to dangle the possibility in front of him, pull Smokescreen into a false probability of winning, only to take it at the last second. He would have gotten annoyed by the antics, but even half a nanoklik of self-reflection told him, he would do just the same thing. Must be a speedster thing, though he had trouble picturing Bee with the same mean streak. Still, he kept trying as long as K.O. kept showing up.
For every race Smokescreen lost, was just another reason to have him jumping for the opportunity to take the next patrol shift and meet his new friend. Guilt still crawled beneath his plating each time he agreed to the patrol. Each heart pat from Bulkhead; each genuine smile from Arcee; each approving hum from Ratchet; Each proud nod from Optimus; All were punches to the gut. He knew Team Prime was beginning to actually trust him and see him as part of the team. It’s what he wanted…but he couldn’t tell them about his secretive meetings and new friend. Not yet, at least.
Smokescreen wasn’t sure exactly what K.O. got out of their arrangement other than a chance to spin his wheels. He couldn’t even say he was even the best partner for that since K.O. smoked him at each turn. Clearly, the mech was lonely, even if he said otherwise. While Smokescreen knew he wasn’t the best company, he was far better than none at all. At the very least, he could hold his own in a conversation.
They talked sometimes. After they raced- after K.O. got the gloating out of his systems and Smokescreen got over the disappointment in losing again -they’d drive up to the city overlook to let their engines cool down. They’d just park in their alts and talk. Alone, under the dark sky, there was no one to listen in, no one to overhear.
It started slowly. K.O. usually took it as an opportunity to critique his form, but as the meetings continued and time passed sometimes they’d talk about other things. A small anecdote here, a complaint about the organics of the planet there, nostalgia for Cybertron and rampant debates over the occasional passersby’s paint jobs; each conversation slowly growing and growing until Smokescreen knew it was safe to say their “races” were no longer the reason they continued to meet.
Smokescreen never talked about the Autobots. At least that he could not be blamed for. Decepticreep or just a regular old lost bot, Smokescreen knew keeping Team Prime a secret was of the utmost importance. It didn’t mean there weren’t other aspects of his life that were off-limits. His time on Cybertron up til his application to the Elite Guard were his to share. It was his story and, for once, someone seemed half-aft interested.
The red speedster never prodded more than a few teasing questions, content to listen to Smokescreen ramble. K.O., himself, was not as willing to share much but that didn’t mean Smokescreen didn’t pick up things.
He knew K.O. was medically trained. There was only so much about frames modifications and reformattings the average mech would know unless they had performed the surgery themselves. Smokescreen had only ever heard Ratchet talk about the specifics of t-cog reconfiguration protocols and modifications with such a degree of enthusiasm.
He also knew K.O. had seen a lot of the war, speaking of events Smokescreen had no reference to other than mentions from Bulkhead or Arcee. K.O. was careful to never once claim a side in the war, simply serving his own interests and whoever could assist them. Neutrality was probably the best word to describe it, but Smokescreen had his suspicion that it was subject to change on who offered the better deal. As much as he didn’t want to, he could understand the logic of such a position. If he had been a civilian mech thrusted into war and destruction, maybe he too would find it difficult to put any trust into a side that played a hand at their world’s destruction. Safety and protection were all that mattered and Smokescreen could understand that.
It was just another fact about K.O. that added to the complex image generated of the mech before him: selfish and guarded, wickedly smart and intuitive, vain yet resourceful and self-sustaining, social and charismatic.
Horribly, terribly alone.
K.O. talked about acquaintances or other mechs in his life- mostly complaining about a lack of respect and a lack of recognition which Smokescreen totally understood-but as far as a friend , Smokescreen had begun to wonder if maybe he had become the closest thing to one. He wanted to ask, maybe it would be the final push to get the mech to join up with the Autobots. But he kept his mouth shut on it, taking Arcee’s advice for once to just listen .
“The terrain here really is terrible for your finish,” the red mech drawled. He had been complaining about a lack of finish protector, the earthly equivalents- while novel -did not last as long as he wouldn’t have liked. Smokescreen could see some wear had come to the red paint, scratches and dents that were beginning to accumulate with each passing solar cycle. “Routine buffing is the only thing that works against this dust, but my partner-”
Smokescreen’s headlights flickered as K.O. stopped speaking at once. A dreaded silence filled the space between them as the two words hung over. My partner .
“What about your partner?” Smokescreen attempted to prod along. He wasn’t not known for being a particularly subtle mech and he didn’t want to spook K.O. away from their flimsy bridge of friendship, but he needed to know.
Hesitancy hung as K.O. rocked on his wheels. He didn’t race off but Smokescreen could hear the emergency brake had been disengaged with a soft click.
“We used to tend to each other’s finishes.”
The sentence was clipped, the words lacking the usual bravado in which Smokescreen had grown familiar with. If anything, they almost sounded sad .
“Used to?” Smokescreen asked quietly. He had a feeling he knew the answer that was coming, dread building up in his intake.
“Yeah.”
Smokescreen tried not to squirm, unease curling around his spark. He knew loss, knew it maybe too well, but he’d never lost a partner . He’d seen what the pain does to a mech though.
“I’m sorry for your loss,” Smokescreen said earnestly. He attempted to extend his field, to express sympathy and understanding with it. “It’s painful to-”
“He’s not dead,” K.O. snarled. His field met Smokescreen’s viciously, cutting away at the comfort and assurance with anger and pain. “I don’t need your sympathies .”
Smokescreen reeled his field in tight, wheels rocking him back an inch. “Sorry, I-”
“Don’t apologize,” he muttered back, more exhausted than biting. A quiet moment passed and K.O.’s field reached out once more. The anger had faded but the pain was still there at the edges. “It's just a…” for once, words seemed to fail him.
“Tough subject?” Smokescreen offered, he let his field brush against the offered one, friendly and warm.
“Hardly a subject at all,” K.O. said bitterly. “No one wants to talk about it.”
Clearly, there was more to this than Smokescreen could ever understand. He didn’t want to pry further and anger his friend but he didn’t want to change the subject. True to his Autobot roots, he wanted to help.
“Do you…wanna talk about it?”
If headlights could glare, Smokescreen certainly felt it. However, the red speedster let out an exasperated sigh.
“My partner has been missing for quite some time. No one else seems worried. It’s not usual for him to disappear for a while but I would have heard from him by now.”
“You’re worried,” Smokescreen whispered. An idea popped in his processor and was spilling out of his vocalized before he could stop himself. “Want to look for him? I could help! I know the area pretty good and two mechs are better than one and-“
A laugh cut him off. Humorless, bitter. Smokescreen withered.
“You know what’s funny?” K.O. rolled forward, closer to the edge of the overlook. “You are the first one to offer, to even ask.”
Smokescreen found himself rolling closer as well. “Sounds lonely, having no one to help you.”
“I have my partner.”
Until you don’t.
The words were Arcee’s: bitter, angry, cold. Smokescreen might not understand completely what the loss of a partner felt like, but he’d seen what it would do to a mech. Timidly, Smokescreen brushed his field against K.O.’s.
“You have me too.”
This didn’t garner an immediate response but slowly, K.O.’s field interlocked with his in a quiet show of trust.
“Want to tell me about him?” Smokescreen asked after a while.
K.O. snorted, the action not as derisive as maybe intended. “I may be sentimental, but we aren’t there yet.”
The humor in his voice was reassuring. Hurt and grief still floated around them, but in this little bubble, there was a warmth of comradery.
“I’ll wear you down soon enough,” Smokescreen beamed, flickering his headlights. “Maybe by the time I do, he’ll be back and I can meet him.”
“In your dreams,” K.O. said softly, the words weighted but genuine. “Even his bulky aft could out race you.”
“No way! I’m this close to winning and then you can both taste my dust,” Smokescreen bit at the bait. He could at least see when it was time to move the conversation along and if making fun of his speed brought some levity to K.O., Smokescreen was more than happy to play the part.
Sometimes it was tempting to let the kid win. Knock Out half considered it nearly every time they closed in on the finish line. He could imagine Smokescreen’s reaction: overly joyous and immediately overconfident. A grin that would stretch his faceplates wide and doorwings fluttering in their excitement. As always his field would be unrestrained, unmonitored in belaying his enthusiasm. It took so little to get Smokescreen excited. Despite the war, his spark remained bright despite all the death and destruction that surrounded him. Knock Out knew that could not last long, but for once felt a need to protect that.
Getting soft, K.O.?
The words were not sharp or cutting, but rather soft and fond in the way Breakdown always spoke to him when they were alone. In the way that Breakdown could read past his veneer of apathy and vanity. In the way that Breakdown was the only mech that truly knew him, perhaps even better than he knew himself.
At the thought of his still missing partner, Knock Out floored the gas, crossing the self-imposed finish line with Smokescreen only a scant few nanokliks behind.
Softness didn’t get anyone anywhere and it would be cruel to pretend otherwise.
“ Aw ,” Smokescreen groaned as he pulled beside Knock Out. “I almost had you!”
“In your dreams,” Knock Out drawled. Even contained to his alt, the signs of his disappointment were still evident. “Maybe next time.”
“You said that the last two times,” Smokescreen grumbled. “I’m going to beat you one day.”
Knock Out laughed as he slowly led them to their usual spot at the overlook. “Sure, sure.”
“No, seriously,” Smokescreen whined from behind. It shouldn’t be as endearing as it was to watch the micro-tantrum of the baby Autobot, but Knock Out couldn’t deny the seed of fondness that had taken root in his spark. It was dangerous and should be plucked at the source and discarded before the claws of affection sunk too deep. However, Knock Out pushed the thought away, not immediately eager to end their little friendship. There was still time. He was still in control.
“It’s called age and wisdom. Neither of which you have,” Knock Out chided. Despite his words, he let his field mingle with Smokescreen’s just enough to betray the lightness in their meaning. Smokescreen nudged his field right back, warm and happy in a way that Knock Out hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Hey! I’m not dumb!” Smokescreen protested with a little beep of his horn. “Not all the time anyways.”
Knock Out knew that was true. He’d listened to the little speedster ramble about a number of topics. While his attitude was childish and young, his processor was surprisingly well-read. Then again, from what Knock Out was able to piece together, patrol duty at the Iacon Hall of Records had been a dull affair. Reading was the only option.
A comm link pinged along his HUD as Smokescreen lamented his loss in exaggerating detail. Knock Out half tuned him out as he read Dreadwing’s designation.
::Where are you? Report to the bridge. Your partner’s signal has popped up on radar.::
Knock Out felt his engine hiccup. Beside him, Smokescreen went silent as he prodded Knock Out’s field in a mix of curiosity and worry.
“Is everything okay-”
“I have to go,” Knock Out replied in a hushed tone, almost afraid if he spoke too loud the message would disappear along with Breakdown’s signal.
Smokescreen’s field retracted, as if it had been swatted and Knock Out may have felt a little guilty about the harsh treatment, but all his processor could think about was Breakdown. They finally found Breakdown.
His spark swelled, nearly making his processor spin. Anger still swirled below at unanswered questions whispered in his audials: Where have you been? Why didn’t you call? Are you okay? Did you even think about how worried I was? But over all, relief and joy were what he felt. Knock Out would have time to yell and scream at Breakdown later. All he wanted now was to see his partner again: happy and warm and- mostly -whole.
“We’ll meet again soon,” Knock Out promised, with a quick apologetic brush of his field. Breakdown would want to meet the kid, regardless of faction lines. Yes, maybe it was a touch irrational to think this friendship of theirs could grow into anymore, but Knock Out liked the kid and so would Breakdown. “I’ll be in touch.”
He didn’t wait for Smokescreen’s response. Couldn’t . Not with Breakdown’s signal finally on radar. Not when he would finally see his partner again.

Last one before I return to the canon events (with the addition of a sassy field-tech)... (By the way, the placeholder tag for this series is now "Misplaced Medic AU"; I will happily accept suggestions for better ones.)
Possible inspiration credits to the usual sources (@justawannabearchaeologist's "TFP Wheeljack in TFA" series here on Tumblr and @blueskyscribeupdates' With A Side Of Rust, both highly recommended).
---
“How’d you learn how to do all this?” Glitch was too wrapped up in “this” to answer Raf’s question straight away, so Wheeljack rephrased it for him. “Yeah, just how does a nice young femme like you learn to intercept Decepticon comms?”
“Intel-bot I know back home.” The dimensionally displaced Autobot’s voicebox was on autopilot while her optics scanned the encrypted data in front of her, looking for the patterns she knew would be there. “Think I’ve mentioned him. Blurr. Assigned to keep an optic on Optimus and his team – probably by Sentinel – but ended up tracking down Megatron’s HQ as well, just in time. Well, his power is speed. Fastest thing on wheels – much to Bee’s annoyance – and talks like Miko sped up. Once ran halfway across the galaxy, probably through the transwarp network, to try to warn Cybertron about a ‘Con double agent.” And would have succeeded had he not run slap bang into said double agent. “But this isn’t a new idea, even on this planet; it’s been done pretty much since you started using radio to communicate. Look up Bletchley Park some time. British Intelligence’s cypher-breaking station during your Second World War. Some fascinating work went on there – thought to have shortened the war by two years and saved millions of lives, and did a lot for human computer science. The codebreakers used everything from pure maths and brute force to imagining the short-cuts a lazy operator, or one in a hurry, might take. Everyone gets sloppy sooner or later – case in point…”
Her digits started to fly over her keyboard as she exploited a weakness she had just found in the encryption of some of the data. She might not be much good at reading faces, frame language, social cues and so on, but sometimes – not always – she could see patterns in other types of information that most others couldn’t, and use that to her advantage. Clear Cybertronian text gradually began to scroll across the screen; she let Ratchet, Raf and Wheeljack analyse it while she worked on decrypting the rest. The process of solving puzzles was more interesting to her than the final solution.
But the solution was still important, which was why she had gone to the trouble of raiding the wrecked Decepticon ship Harbinger for the equipment and intel she needed to intercept ‘Con transmissions. The cyphers had been updated since the ship crashed, of course, but nobot had bothered to change the frequency bands. That was good, as someone – quite possibly Soundwave, now a strong candidate for the title of Glitch’s Least Favourite Decepticon, challenging her universe’s Shockwave – had taken countermeasures against the Autobots’ tracking of Predacon fossils, and Team Prime, outnumbered and outgunned, needed all the help they could get.
“This doesn’t make sense,” Ratchet said as Glitch finally hit another, properly encrypted block of data. “These are engineering specs for something close to a space-bridge, but the destination coordinates here aren’t for Cybertron, or anywhere on Earth – I don’t know where they correspond to.”
“I do.” The fuel in Glitch’s tank and lines had turned to ice. “Sumdac Tower, Detroit, Michigan, the USA, Earth, in the year 2112 – in my reality. Those were my target coordinates the last time I left my Cybertron, when I ended up here instead.”
“That why these specs are so weird?” Wheeljack was letting his inner scientist show as he studied the deciphered intel. “Most of this is like a typical space-bridge, but these elements here…”
“They’re using transwarp technology, I think. I don’t understand it, but I’ve seen enough diagrams – and they got all this from me. That cortical psychic patch. Either the results were duplicated before I fried the lab hard drive, or Knock Out remembered enough.” Glitch hoped for the former possibility. The level of accuracy and detail required to reverse-engineer such complex technology would be best extracted via cortical psychic patch, and Knock Out had been through a great deal already.
“So, what – the ‘Cons are after your reality?” Raf summarised in question form. “Why?”
“I can think of two reasons. One, Energon. When the Allspark was reassembled, we found Energon deposits where fragments had been. That was part of the reason I was back on Cybertron – arranging for it to be extracted with minimal damage to Earth and no corruption on Cybertron if possible. I know Knock Out knows that from the patch. Two, technology. If one junior field-tech’s loadout can cause as much havoc as mine has here, I don’t want to think what the ‘Cons would do with the cutting-edge military gear from home. Or what they’d do to Earth to get at its Energon, or my Cybertron, just in general.” She took a deep, steadying vent. “We have to stop them.”
“We will.” A heavy servo descended on her shoulder, and she looked up into a pair of kind, wise, weary blue optics, much closer than usual. While she’d been distracted by data, the rest of Team Prime had gathered round, and Optimus Prime was now kneeling behind her. “The tragedy that befell our Cybertron, and the fate the Decepticons intended for this Earth, must not happen again.”
“Do you have any indication of when this space-bridge will be completed?” Ultra Magnus focused, as ever, on the practicalities of the situation.
Glitch scanned the intel, realising that it was a week old. She’d intercepted far more than she had time to study. “Stars, today! They must be reusing components from their existing bridge, or we’d have heard about another lot of thefts.”
“And I have a location.” Ratchet was already programming the groundbridge – or trying. “Blast, it’s shielded. I’ll get us as close as I can.”
“This could be your way home,” Arcee murmured to Glitch as Ratchet and Raf set up the bridge. The smaller two-wheeler hadn’t even thought of that, and knew she couldn’t get distracted by the idea.
“Let’s – play that part by audial. The important thing is keeping the ‘Cons out of that space-bridge. Which side of it I’m on when it closes is neither here nor there.” Arcee didn’t have time to argue with that before the groundbridge operators finished their task and Prime called for the Autobots to transform and roll out.
Like a previous Decepticon space-bridge, that one was being built next to an Energon mine, and therefore close to a fuel source. Unlike that other one, it was heavily guarded; Megatron clearly learned from at least some of his mistakes. Had it not been for an otherworldly blue-green glow coming from a distant chamber, the battalion of Vehicon soldiers between it and the raiding party would have indicated a trap. But Glitch knew that wasn’t the case the moment she set ped in the mine and a comm frequency band she hadn’t used in months sprang to life.
She barely noticed the Vehicons taking aim at them, or Prime’s attempt to find a peaceful resolution. All her attention was on a familiar, beloved voice that made her spark hum with joy. “…head’s trying to figure out what’s going on, and the Professor’s on his way up now – had to get out of some meeting or other. It’s probably not about to explode, but that’s about all we can tell so far… OK, will do. Bumblebee out.”
As Prime’s negotiations failed (which he must have known would almost certainly happen) and both sides opened fire, Glitch let her automated subroutines (less effective than her conscious mind, but competent enough) take over for the battle, focusing on talking to her partner for the first time in too long. “Bee?”
“Glitch?” Bee sounded as happy as she felt. “Where are you? Are you OK? What happened?”
“I’m fine.” Relatively speaking. Face-to-face, she’d have been more honest, but there just wasn’t time. “The space-bridge home from Cybertron malfunctioned and sent me to another universe.”
“That tracks,” a deeper, almost-as-familiar voice broke in. “This thing’s been buggy ever since the Professor and Powell sent that Tux guy through it. Good to hear you’re OK, little buddy.”
“Good to hear from you too, Bulkhead. Are you both at the Detroit space-bridge?” Close to the connection the ‘Cons were forging between the universes; that would explain why she could hear them but not Optimus.
“Yeah. It started acting up a little while ago. Triggered the alarms I put in after it took Fanzone off to Cybertron. I couldn’t tell what was wrong with it, but now I know where you are, the readings make sense. You’re coming back, right?”
“If I can, but the Decepticons are the ones opening the portal. We’re trying to stop them using it. “We” being another team of Autobots, by the way, including alternate versions of you two, Prime and Ratchet.”
“There’s another Bumblebee? Should I be jealous?” Glitch laughed even as she deflected a point-blank blaster round. She’d missed being teased like that. “Not in the slightest. You know where my spark lies. Now, can you tell how long it’ll take for that portal to be fully open?” She was studying her surroundings with a mathematician’s optic, estimating how much progress the Autobots had made already, how many Vehicons remained, how long it would take to reach and secure the bridge. She could see it now, a hybrid between the circular tunnels of that universe and the two-pronged structures she knew from home, enclosing an orb of blue-green light that grew brighter with every passing nanoklik. But could she and the others get to it in time?
Bulkhead answered her question, and the flame of hope in her chest was replaced by ice-cold steel.
“Shut it down.” The words were ground glass in her voicebox, and saying them felt like tearing out her own spark, but her duty was clear. “Shut it down and make sure no-one can come through from this universe.”
“Have you lost your motherboarding mind?” Bee spent too much time with their Ratchet. Come to that, so had Glitch. “I’m not going to give up a chance of seeing you again.”
“You’ll have to. I can’t get there in time. The Decepticons will use that portal, invade our home and start by killing you.” Now there was an image that wasn’t leaving her processor any time soon – Bee facing down a Vehicon squad, maybe stinging one or two, before being shot down without mercy, his colours already gone by the time his sparking body hit the tower roof. That won’t happen. It can’t.
“We’ve kicked plenty of Decepticon skidplate before. We’re a match for those guys, right?” Bee’s confidence, which on any other solar-cycle would make her smile, almost quenched her spark.
“Wrong. The ‘Cons here would eat ours for breakfast – no, more like a mid-morning snack. The Autobots are much better armed and far more experienced than us and they’re barely holding their own. You won’t stand a chance.” If Glitch could cry, she would have been in floods. “Please. I want to see you, more than I can say, but I need you to be safe. And don’t even think about coming over here. If there’s another way, I’ll find it, I promise, but – I can’t lose you. Not again.” Her optics rested on Wheeljack’s grenade, still on his hip, and her resolve hardened. Take it off him, activate it, use her magnets to throw it into the space-bridge infrastructure – yes, it could be done. She’d be killing who knew how many Vehicons, but for her home – for Bee – she would do it. Whether she could live with herself afterwards, of course, was another matter, but not yet relevant. “Shut it down, or I will.”
Bee was silent for an uncharacteristically long moment. “All right, you win. This time.” Bulk must have agreed; the portal started to fade away, much faster than it had brightened, as he terminated the connection.
“See you on the other side.” When would she next get the chance to play musical quotations with someone on her level? Soon, I trust.
“’Til we meet again.” The line went dead, and a wave of grief swept over the tiny Autobot, though she knew her loved ones were alive and well. She was dimly aware of the space-bridge operators frantically trying to reopen the portal, comming for instructions, but Bulk knew what he was doing. The gateway between universes remained firmly closed, and eventually somebot (probably Megatron; Glitch was vaguely surprised he hadn’t been there himself) ordered a retreat, leaving the Autobots alone with their “prize”.
“Well, I suppose we can’t leave this lying around for the ‘Cons to get their hands on again,” Arcee said, referring to the bridge. Then she looked at Glitch, remembering again what it meant to her. “Can we?”
Glitch barely needed to compute the answer. “No. It’s too risky, even by my standards.”
“Well, in that case…” Wheeljack drew his grenade and prepared to throw it – only for Prime to raise a questioning optic-brow at him, which prompted him to turn to Ultra Magnus, his direct superior. “Permission to destroy, sir?”
“Permission granted, soldier,” Ultra Magnus replied – after a brief, almost apologetic glance at the miniature medibot. As though she hadn’t been prepared to do what Wheeljack did and blow the thing to scrap, without clearing the area first.
Nobot spoke much as they returned to base, or as Ratchet fussed over various scrapes and dents and he and Glitch fixed everybot up, or as they consumed their evening rations (it was getting late and the humans had already had supper) and headed off to power down for the night. Glitch didn’t enter stasis, though, partly because she had a project to finish, but mostly because she just couldn't switch off.
“Mind if I come in?” Glitch, who had been leaning back in her chair – which could convert into a berth – trying to clear her processor, jolted upright as a familiar human face appeared around the curtain that marked off her private area.
“Shouldn’t you be asleep, Miko?” It was close to midnight and a “school” night.
“Shouldn’t you?” Fair point. And Glitch had done the same at Miko’s relative age, not so long before.
“I suppose so. All right, I won’t tell if you won’t.” Miko came in and climbed up to sit on Glitch’s desk. “Bulkhead told me what happened earlier. I’m sorry you’re stuck here.” Sorry as in sorrowful, Glitch thought, not as in apologetic. It wasn’t Miko’s fault by any stretch of the imagination.
“It was always very much on the cards. On the plus side, my other team know where I am now, I know at least two of them are OK and that it’s possible to get back, and the Decepticons didn’t get through.” Glitch’s digits traced the newly repainted band of yellow and black at her wrist. “Going home would’ve been nice, but it wasn’t to be. ‘Sides, I hate leaving a job unfinished.”
“That makes sense.” Miko looked at Glitch’s wrist for a little while. “Bulk also said you were talking to your partner most of the battle. The other Bumblebee, right?” Glitch nodded. “He’s your boyfriend, isn’t he?”
“That’s the nearest human term, I think. On my Cybertron, maybe the others’ as well, we’d say we’re courting.”
“Isn’t that an old word for when you want to get married?”
“Bonded, we call it, but yes. Though that’s still some way in the future for Bee and me, if we get there at all.” The way things were going, that wasn’t a certainty by any means.
“How long’ve you guys been together?” Someone who didn’t know Miko well would have been surprised by her patience and kindness. The fearless Wrecker could be remarkably gentle and perceptive at times. She’d seen that Glitch was hurting and refusing to burden anyone else with her problems, at least until morning, so she was forcing help upon her in the nicest way possible.
“Less than a year, but I’ve been in love with him since we were cadets. I only found out recently he felt the same way about me. We put our duty and each other’s careers first – until Optimus basically sent us on a date.” That made them both laugh, all too briefly.
“What’s he like?”
Glitch tilted her head, trying to find the right words. “One of the bravest, most loyal people I know. Clever and kind in his own way. Which is a good way, I hasten to add, just – not a usual way. He’ll never back down from a fight unless forced, especially if someone he cares about is in danger. Constantly beats me at video games, and watches my favourite shows with me. Finds it hard to be quiet, but he’ll listen to me ramble when most people wouldn’t.” She sighed. “I don’t have all the right words to describe him. He’s just – Bee.” Her beloved, and maybe, one day, her Conjunx Endura.
“Sounds like you two were made for each other.” Miko smiled. “I hope you get back to him one day.”
“So do I.” Glitch decided to change the subject. She could only take so much “talk about your feelings” in one session. “Oh, while you’re here…” She opened a drawer in her desk and brought out a flimsy, human-sized folder, the pages within still warm from the printer. “It’s a bit early, but – tanjoubi omedetou, Miko-chan.”
“Arigatou, Glitch-chan.” Miko’s eyes widened as she opened her birthday present. Glitch had composed a piece of music for her, the kind of metal the human girl loved, scored for electric guitar and drums. (She usually hated writing for the guitar – the extra notation system was so confusing – but for Miko she had made the effort.) It had no lyrics, words not being the field-tech’s strong point, but that wasn’t unusual in that genre. The guitar mostly led the melody, but the drums were always there in support, and at times the instruments traded places – just as Miko had had to protect or help Bulkhead, the way he so often protected and helped her. It had been written as a gift for Miko alone, but the human and Cybertronian Wreckers could not be separated, and it had felt wrong to try.
The piece was simply entitled, “Partners”.

Tumblr media
Fandom: Transformers [ Prime ]
Rating: R
Characters: Optimus Prime, Autobot team
TW: Major Character death, mentons of torture, gore, etc.
Summary: Optimus doesn’t find a will. He can’t find the time to write you an obituary either. But…while rummaging through your habsuite, he finds something else.
Rules
Ask Box (Requests are open!)
Optimus buried you next to cliffjumper that night.
They had received the distress beacon 4 days after you were captured.
Arcee thought it was a trap.
Bumble bee was one of the first to suggest going, second to Ratchet.
They found your mangled corpse instead. Held up by two coils, were your arms should’ve been. Both of your legs missing, one optic lens cracked. The other missing entirely. They saw crusted energon leaking from your mouth.
Optimus remembers time freezing. Hearing Megatron gloating behind him.
Then seeing Megatron littered in his own energon, a hand twisted in a way Optimus knew hurt. Optics wide. Not terrified. Intrigued.
He remembers looking down at his energon stain hands, telling Ratchet that none of it was his when he entered the base. Hearing Miko’s sobbing behind him as he exited the area.
It was too much. Processor swimming. Consumed by you. He knows you died painfully. Knows you died hoping someone would come.
And in the end, no one did. And you died knowing that. Megatron most likely laughed at you too. He’s had limbs torn off before. Even the most hardened mercs cry out in agony when the act is committed.
He finds himself in your habsuite his processor going silent after burying you . He stands in the doorway of the room. Staring down at the berth and desk now collecting dust. Nobody has bothered to move your stuff. It’s almost as if you’ve just left for a few moments. To gather energon, go on a scouting missing. A drive. The possibilities are endless at first glance. But Optimus knows the truth.
He drags himself over to the desk. He should probably leave. Go and do the paperwork he’s supposed to. Distract himself, like he always does. Keeps himself so occupied that his processor doesn’t have time to…process.
There’s one datapad that catches his eye. It on, and he’s certain it isn’t a normal datapad. The corners are white.
He picks it up, optics widening.
It’s a videopad. An image of you is plastered on the screen, smiling. Seeming to being rubbing the back of your neck as you idly look off to the floor.
How he wishes to hear you again. Hear you vent softly next to him, or laugh at one of Ratchet’s sarcastic remarks.
He knows he should leave. But he clicks the play button anyways.
“Uh…hey.” Your voice starts, a small fit of static behind your voice. “This is uh…awkward. Speaking my will.”
You pause, narrowing your gaze at the camera.
“Y’know what, no no. Hang on-“ your hand grabs the video pad and the video stops.
Optimus clicks the next one.
“Hi! It’s me again!” You exclaim, a soft smile on your face. “This isn’t a will. More like a…last message I suppose? In case something happened? I saw Perceptor doing it, figured I should too.”
You grin.
“I mean, I would hope that I don’t…” you trail off, fiddling with your thumbs and biting your lower lip. “Die. Anyways, this first message is too Perceptor-“
You begin to express graditute. Thanking Perceptor for putting up with you, your stubbornness. Shenanigans. Your poorly timed pranks.
The video ends, and Optimus clicks another. Sitting on the floor next to the desk.
The this video is taken a few months after the previous. Your frame is slightly different. Bigger more blockier.
“Uh…hi. Me again” You chuckle. “I’m gonna dedicate this next one to Ironhide-“
And off you go again. Thanking Ironhide for being a great mentor, for teaching you to shoot.
And for every video, there’s a message. For everyone you’ve known.
There’s one for Blurr. Repeating one of the mech’s jokes.
For First Aid. Apologizing for breaking some equipment and promising to buy him energon gummies to make up for it.
A bot he doesn’t recognize the name of, one that you speak fondly of though. Another promise. This one to arm wrestle and purposefully lose. So she’d look good infront of the femme she liked.
There’s even a message for Megatron; laced in anger and malice. You talk about almost becoming a Decepticon, even going as far as calling Megatron a crankshaft. Stubborn until the end.
Optimus’ finger hovers over the play button, seeing the last message there. The message was recorded almost 2 weeks before you got captured.
1 week after you two officially got together.
The video starts with static.
“Wow, haven’t done this in a while.” You laugh. “Uh…I hope whoever’s watching this doesn’t try to defile my grave or anything but…I’m with Optimus now.”
A pause.
“There’s a lot about him thst I could talk about. It’d probably take me…an hour to describe everything—“
You pause, hearing chatter down the hall. You wait until it dissipate. And then sigh.
“Frag it.”
And off you go. Your words to describe him are laced with lavender and worship. Words spewing from your mouth like a dying man. Not once do you mention his body. His title. You describe him like he’s a god at an altar. A being of eternal light that walks among mortals. An Angel. He stares in disbelief when you finish with saying; “and his waist is so snatched.”
He has no idea what that means.
“Primus, I love him. I don’t think I’ve loved anybody this much.” You smile bashfully. “I’m so lucky. So damn lucky that a guy like him likes a guy like me.”
Shouting is heard down the hallway, and you seem to panic. Part of the door opens and Optimus sees a portion of his leg step into the room.
Optimus is alone in the habsuite again. Staring at the blank wall before him. The videopad dies in his shaking hands.
But your energy lingers in the room. And Optimus crumbles.
He feels the coolant sliding down his face before his systems even tell him he’s crying.

Found ( Part 1/2)
[(Bayverse) Optimus Prime x Reader)
A/N: Okay so this takes place during Transformers: Age of Extinction. When I was younger I loved the movie (mostly because it had dinosaurs) but once I re-watched it...yeah, it was meh for me. In my opinion, first film was better than the sequels. Anyways, I thought “hey, what would happen if reader was separated from Optimus then reunited after all these years?” And so, I did it. I’m dividing this into two parts since I don’t want to make this too long. The second part is mostly going to be the interaction between reader and Optimus. Also, the reader is like in early or mid-twenties.
You can find the second part here!
Summary: 5 years have passed since you last saw Optimus Prime, your guardian. Since then, you’ve traveled with the Autobots and went in hiding with them. Just as you were about to give up hope, Optimus summons the Autobots.
Warning: Angst, angst, angst, angst, spoilers for T:AOE
It’s been 5 years since you last saw Optimus Prime. Leader of the Autobots, your guardian and best friend. In the aftermath of the events in Chicago, you thought that everything would somewhat go back to normal. Hunting down more Decepticons with your teammates, going on missions together, having Optimus scold you for not doing your homework. Though of course, nothing would be the same without Ironhide. His death absolutely destroyed you. But greater matters were forced to be looked upon, such as the public starting to see the Autobots as a threat, which was very stupid considering that they saved the whole damn world, NEST disbanding, the ‘Bots having to be on the run, and finally, Optimus disappearing from the team. With your long time contribution to the team, you were hunted down as well. Cemetery Wind demanded information about the Cybertronians, every single piece of detail, but you didn’t let them. Now with you being wanted and labeled as a fugitive, you could never truly return to your normal life. Your future dream university? Say goodbye to that. Your friends and family? You left with Bumblebee, not wanting to put any of them in danger. If they were, then you knew that their blood would be on your hands and you just could not accept that.
You supported Bumblebee when he was suddenly assigned as the commanding leader of the Autobot refugees. Despite them belittling and discouraging him, you stayed by his side. You always wondered what Ironhide would’ve done. He would’ve probably done things his own way. What would Ratchet do? You missed the grumpy medic and him meddling about your health. And Optimus...you missed him. A lot. You missed the times where he would be off-guard by some of your witty jokes, you missed how he would let you sleep in his alternate form whenever you dreamt of Decepticons, you missed his rare laughs and chuckles. You really, really missed him. As time went on by, you noticed that even Bumblebee was changing. He grew a bit more mature, but you knew that the responsibility of being a leader was too much for him. He missed Sam, and you did too. Though you two were only neighbors at first, you grew close and became siblings with one another. After his run-in with Cemetery Wind, you knew that he wasn’t coming back. At that point, you were growing hopeless. You tried getting along with Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs throughout the years, but you were too tired to hold up a conversation with them. Luckily, they reluctantly accepted you as a comrade.
As everyone was changing, you noticed that so were you. You were no longer joking around as much as you used to. You became quiet and serious. Yes, you would still give out encouragement and words of optimism to not let the flame of hope die out, but lately, it started to feel and sound fake. Were you trying to convince the others to not give up or were you trying to convince yourself? For the majority of the last 5 years, you tried believing that Optimus and Ratchet were still alive, just in hiding. Your poor heart simply couldn’t handle the weight of indescribable sorrow if news broke out that the two were gone. You’ve already witnessed Optimus die once and you couldn’t do that whole thing again. Hope was something that you needed but it started to become something that you could no longer grasp. When your dying flame of hope was at its last breath, that’s when he came in. The voice you haven’t heard in a very long time.
“Calling all Autobots. Calling all Autobots.”
It was Optimus Prime, calling from the radio. Bumblebee abruptly stopped the drive, causing you to almost hit your head against the steering wheel. After you hissed out his name, you turned to the radio in disbelief. Were you hearing things or was this reality? Bee then started to mess the radio until Optimus’s message was playing on repeat. No. Way. This was actually happening. You didn’t even have time to gather your thoughts before Bee started redirecting his coordinate and driving to where his leader was located, at full speed. Your heart was pounding and you were starting to feel the adrenaline rushing in. Reality still had yet to sink in. Everything was starting to get overwhelming, even if only a couple of moments had passed by. This was real. This had to be real.
You clutched your stomach and nibbled the bottom of your lip. This was supposed to be a great thing and it was! Then why did you feel sick to your stomach? You’ve heard of people throwing up from nervousness. Was this what you were feeling? Why were you nervous? You wanted to see him, absolutely! But after all this time, after all these years, were you even prepared? What if it was just a false alarm and you would get trapped by Decepticons or any other enemies? What if Cemetery Wind had already got him and tried to use him as bait? That last thought had almost made you puke right then and there. Whether you were ready or not, it was time.
You watched as the rest of the team had already met up with Optimus. The color of his alternate form made you stare at him with wide eyes as all the memories of you two together flashed for a second. Your jaw slightly dropped open and so many things ran around your mind. You were so out of reality that you hadn’t even noticed Bumblebee already transforming out of his alternate form and perching you on top of his shoulder. As he walked towards him, you watched Optimus’s transformation one last time and as always, it never ceases to amaze you and put you in a trance.
“Humans have asked us to play by their rules. Well, the rules have just changed.”
His deep voice filled your ears and for the first time, you relaxed. You could never forget what he sounded like, even during your darkest moments when you had tried to forget in an attempt to get rid of the pain that tore your heart to shreds. Words could not do justice to how you were feeling at this exact moment. The moment when you were finally reunited with your long lost guardian. Bumblebee gently let you down from his shoulder and as the team argued and bickered, all you could do was stare and not move. If this was a dream, then you never wanted to wake up. After an eternity of staring, Optimus’s optics met with your [e/c] orbs and you swore that you saw his breath hitch.
You weren’t the only one that was worried. During Optimus’s time away from the team and trying to stay hidden, there was not a single thought where he would not worry about you. He always wondered if you were okay and...still alive. It broke his spark every time he imagined that you were dead, six feet underground. Or worse yet, if no one had even known where your body was. He thought that once he would get out of hiding, and he knew that he would one day, the first thing he did not want to hear was that you were either found dead or missing. He hoped that you were out there, having a good life and spending your time in university. Until he went to slumber, until the day that he would be found by Cade Yeager, he yearned for the day where he would get to hear your jokes one last time.
Here you were. Alive and still moving with Bumblebee and the others. His expression softened ever so slightly and he felt a big weight being lifted off of his shoulders. He took a long moment just looking at you. You’ve certainly grown and he knew that you were no longer the bratty teenager he grew to love. Sadness washed over him when he realized that he didn’t get to see you grow up as he was absent for the past 5 years. Questions went in and out, but they were going to have to be asked later. He gave you an ever so slightly ghost of a smile and a small nod.
We can talk later.
You snapped out of your trance once Crosshairs and Hound pointed their guns towards the strangers that you had failed to notice earlier. A young lady, a man who seems to be her father, and another boy.
“Stop, Hound- both of you! They’ve risked their lives for mine.”
For a long time, you stood in the same spot Bumblebee had put you. It was like you had forgotten to move. But once you started to walk towards Optimus and the three strangers, each step made your knees feel weak. Nothing was fully sinking in, yet you continued on. You held out your hand towards them and went on to introduce yourself.
“Uh, hey there. The name’s Cade Yeager and this is my daughter, Tessa. I assume you’re with the other…’Bots?” The young girl next to him gave you a shy smile and a small wave before the boy came in.
“Oh and I’m Shane, by the way. Nice to meet you.”
You shook the three people’s hands and gave a small but welcoming smile. At long last, you finally got to meet some humans that weren’t hunting you down and trying to kill you. It felt so refreshing to interact with someone that wasn't an alien, car transforming robot.
“[Y/N], and yeah, I’ve been traveling with the Autobots for umm...a few years now or so. Also, I just want to thank you for helping Optimus. Seriously, you have no idea how grateful I am, along with the others as well.”
The way you spoke of Optimus’s name gave you a foreign feeling. Later during the straggling years, especially recently, you rarely spoke of his name since whenever you did, it always gave you an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach. But now, you were able to say it with ease after knowing that he was okay. Cade gave you a smile and scratched the back of his neck.
“It’s no problem at all, really. I saw the way you looked at him and I’m glad that I could help.”
Optimus stared and observed you during your whole interaction with them. There were so many things to say and so many things to discuss with you. Though as he promised, he would have to do that later. Your hair was a bit of a mess, your clothes were a bit dirty and there were some torn bits here and there from all the battles and run-ins you had with the enemy. If he were to look closer, he would be able to notice scars that have been implanted onto your skin. Gashes, cuts, bullet wounds; they were there. He tore his gaze away from you and looked towards the rest of the team.
“Autobots, we will remain here and recharge for the rest of the day. Once everything is settled, we will discuss further plans with Cade Yeager.”
And so, the whole team went to settle down for the day. To your despair, you had little time with Optimus to discuss pretty much everything that had been going on. He had wanted to talk to you as much as you wanted to talk to him, but he was already occupied with what Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Hound, and Drift wanted to tell him. All the reports and notable news about Cemetery Wind and some bickering between the team. Meanwhile, you tried to distract yourself by helping the Yeagers and Shane set up a camp. Drift had been more than helpful by chopping wood from nearby dead trees with his blades. Before you knew it, night had fallen. Hound was able to set a campfire by using measures that were too extreme for your taste. You sat down beside Bumblebee, staring into the crackling fire. You quietly listened to the conversation that was going on beside you. The Autobots spoke of any possible refugees that had come within the years while Cade was being the typical overprotective dad. That almost made you chuckle. It reminded you of your father whenever he saw you hanging out with a potential love interest. God, when was the last time you had even thought about your parents? You wondered how they were doing and if they were still kicking. You wondered that if you were ever to come back to them, would they ever forgive you for running away and scaring them to death? Your heart ached as you thought more about them. If you could just give them one message that told them that you were okay, that would be enough.
Suddenly, you looked up when you heard Drift talking shit about Bumblebee once again. Almost simultaneously, both you and the giant yellow robot rolled your eyes before he stood up from his seat and approached the giant blue robot.
“He’s like a child.”
“This child is about to kick your ass.”
“He brings us shame.”
It didn’t take long for the two to start brawling. You crossed your arms and legs and sighed as you watched the two of them getting it on. Normally, you would’ve tried to stop them and diffuse the situation, but you were just too tired. Too much has happened in one day and you deserved some rest. Plus, Optimus was here now. He could handle them. Then, you noticed the three other friendlies move towards your side, taking a couple of steps back behind you. You heard the girl Tessa comment on what was wrong with them. Ironically, that was your first thought that came into mind when you first met the refugees. Glad that you weren’t the only one.
“Lockdown is hunting us and humans are helping. We need to know why.” Optimus spoke.
“Listen, I don’t know why, but I have an idea about who.” Cade replied.
That led to you watching a couple of clips that he managed to snatch from a drone. Just as you thought that things couldn’t get worse, it did. You watched as Ratchet and Leadfoot had met their demise by the humans attacking them. Ratchet...the grumpy medic you became very fond of, one of the very first Transformers you’ve met. All the missions you went with him, all the meddling you had to put up with from him, and all the scolding he gave you because he cared about you. Though you weren’t as close to Leadfoot as you were with Ratchet, you knew that he was a good ‘Bot. Two of your closest friends, down and out. Ratchet and Ironhide, both who never got to peacefully pass away. You hung your head low as you rested your elbows on top of your knees. Your hair fell in front of your face as silent, bitter tears fell to the ground below you. “Savages” as Hound had called him. And he was right, that was the exact word that  had described how the humans were in the footage. Ratchet had even begged that he was a medic and an Autobot. Your blood continued to boil even once the footage was finished playing.
Quickly, you wiped away the tears by harshly jabbing your knuckles into your eyes and looked towards the others as they continued to discuss what was happening. Cade mentioned that the headquarters were located in Chicago and had offered to help them with the mission. He told how if he didn’t help them, then they wouldn’t be able to get their normal lives back. Funny thing was that once you’ve associated yourself with the Autobots, there was no way your life was going to fully revert back to its normal self. You and Sam knew that all too well.
“Autobots, I have sworn to never kill humans,” Optimus said, “but when I find out who’s behind this, he’s going to die.”
This old robot always manages to catch you off-guard. In all the years you’ve known him, you have never heard him say anything with a threatening voice. A scary one, in fact. To you, he was the calmest person you knew. Calculated and dangerous, but he was calm. He defined a true leader. But he was going to kill humans? Just before he declared that statement, he admitted that he swore to not kill humans. You knew that he was enraged with what Cemetery Wind and KSI had done to his close friends and you didn’t blame him for wanting to kill someone responsible. It just seemed so off; so out of character. It was jarring.

A Chance Like This - Knockout x reader
Word count: 7,740 Warnings: none Takes place on the episode “Flying Mind” A/N: This is the longest oneshot I’ve ever written and actually turned out pretty good. I wrote this over a year ago. I think I did a good job adding enough that it wasn’t just the whole episode written down.
You were staring wide eyed as Bulkhead told the human charges about his adventure being stuck on Nemesis. The group of listening humans, including you, was standing on the high platform closest to the groundbridge.
“And when the Insecticons backed off, I got inspired by my proximity to the power core, and did what I do best.” He hit his fist into the other servo making a loud crash for dramatic effect.
Miko and you stood by the yellow, metal guards while Jack leaned on the desk, Raf was sitting by the computer, and Agent Fowler stood in the back.
“Whoa,” you let out. Being stuck on the ship would be something you hate; you would have no idea how to get off.
“You trashed Megatron’s ride like a rock star in a hotel room.” Miko threw her hands into the air.
“So what are we going to do now?” you asked when you realized the Decepticons would in one spot and unable to move for a long period of time.
“We should hit the ‘Cons right now, while their vulnerable,” Arcee said to her teammates with determination.
“Megatron’s warship may be grounded, but let’s not forget we remain vastly outnumbered,” Ratchet, who was apart from the group and on your right, reminded.“Especially since he has added the insecticon hive to his ranks.”
“Then maybe it’s time for me in call in an air strike,” Agent Fowler stepped closer to the railing. “Or for us to consider more extreme measures, Agent Fowler.” The prime had a grim look in his optics that made you uneasy. He gestured for Ratchet to follow him down the corridor. Their heavy, metal steps resonated through the room. Your heart pounded as your mind searched the all the possibilities of what could happen with worry. Not just because Optimus Prime having that emotion was a reason for concern.
Because there was someone on Nemesis that you didn’t want hurt.
He walked back into the room with a blue circular object, with gray designs covering it that made you stumble back.
“Is that…?” you began, but couldn’t finish the sentence.
“The spark extractor? Yes,” Optimus replied.
“I thought that… doing that would be too violent and wrong… to just take all of their sparks at once. Why…?” You struggled for words in shock.
“Although I would greatly prefer lesser means, it could be our only chance to end the war.”
“I guess. I just wish… it didn’t have to end like that. There has to be another way, right?” your eyes reflected sadness and hope.
He let out a sad sigh. “While I wish the same, I fear we have no other option.”
You whimpered. There was the urge to say more and attempt to convince them to choose another path. Yet you knew everyone would probably get annoyed at you for defending the villains, and Optimus Prime made up his mind. Who were you to question his decision? There was still something inside of you that wanted to stop it, that wasn’t at peace.
You didn’t want all of the Decepticons to die. You didn’t want Knockout to die.
You didn’t know him that well, but you were fond of him. His personality, his finish, just everything about him made you have a soft spot for him. When you got the chance, you’d try to get pictures of him, it was just hard to without getting caught. You wished you were actually friends with him, although now it would be too late.
The thought of him dying twisted and stabbed your heart. You probably should have never let yourself get that attached, but there was no going back.
A beeping at the console in front of Ratchet interrupted your thoughts.
“Optimus, I’m detecting a massive energy spike at the Decepticon crash site. It appears to be dark energon.” Ratchet had a serious and grim expression on his faceplate.
Everyone, except Optimus Prime, flinched at the news. They stared at the map with a purple circle on what you assumed to be the crash site.
The groundbridge lit up with the light swirling and dancing once Ratchet flipped the switch. It seemed much blurrier than usual. That’s when you realized how much tears formed in your eyes. You swiftly blinked them away, refusing to be caught. A part of you wanted to run in, to see if there was a way to save him or see him one more time. The thought of seeing his faceplate twist in pain in flinching as his spark was wretched away from him was enough you have you rapidly blinking. Please don’t cry in front of them; please don’t cry in front of them, you repeated in your mind. How would they react if they knew you cared for a Decepticon? They would probably send you to therapy or a mental hospital or something.
All the Autobots but Ratchet, who was staying, and Optimus, who seemed to be planning on entering last. They effortlessly shifted to their vehicle forms and quickly went through. You took a sharp breath when you noticed the extractor in Bumblebee’s hand as he transformed.
Fowler was saying something to the prime about how he had to be there to witness the Decepticon defeat, but you couldn’t pay attention. You just kept thinking about Knockout. Was he going to die? That couldn’t be right. Not now.
Optimus agreed to bring Agent Fowler and drove through the groundbridge. Then the light disappeared, leaving you to wonder when it would be done.
The last time you saw him could literally have been the last time you’d ever see him. You’d never get the chance to meet him or be friends with him. He’d be gone forever. You were panicking. When would the spark extractor be generated? Had it already happened? Was he already not existing anymore? Would you feel something when he was extinguished, like suddenly feel a part of you was missing or punched in the gut? All of these questions and negative emotions filled you and you believed you would burst. You already wandered and began pacing in the corner where everyone would be less likely to notice you. Just in case you broke down crying, which was becoming more likely by the second.
“Team’s down, requesting medevac,” Fowler’s voice came through the comm.
Your eyes widened and your heart leaped. “What?” you turned to the screen. You had been prepared to gain sadness from Knockout being terminated, not the Autobots being injured. Needless to say, you were concerned.
“What happened?” Ratchet asked.
“The Nemesis shot some crazy beam at the 'Bots and now they’re frozen.”
“What?” Jack asked.
“Are they…” Raf wasn’t able to finished the sentence in fear.
“I don’t know. I need to examine them. Hang tight. I will be there.” Ratchet opened up the groundbridge.
It took a while to get everyone back. Ratchet was the only one big enough to carry them and had to do so one at a time. As they were brought in, all the humans grew more sad and worried. It was terrible to see them still and lifeless like that. You prayed they were okay.
“Did they get the chance to use the spark extractor?” you asked when the question crossed your mind and you managed to reached Fowler on the higher platform.
“No. The 'Cons were too fast,” Fowler answered.
A sigh of relief escaped you, however as you did so, you masked it as a cough, to avoid everyone’s questioning eyes. It meant Knockout was alright. It may have been wrong, with everyone frozen, but you were actually happy the turn of events happened. It meant Knockout was still alive. You just hoped the others didn’t stay that way forever.
The other three on the floor below were still gazing in sorrow at the awkwardly posing cybertronians as Ratchet scanned them. His metallic steps echoed through the quiet room as he inspected the console.
“They’re alive, but I’ve never encountered this form of stasis lock.” He held his chin with his digits while staring at a large screen that currently showed Optimus.
“The 'Cons are crossing the Atlantic,” Fowler marched right up, near the vitals displayed in green. Ratchet’s optics shifted from the console’s information to the human. “Making a bee-line for North America,” he waved his arm horizontally to illustrate his point.
“Wait, we can track them?” Jack noticed as the three other walked over on the floor below.
“Why aren’t they cloaked like usual?” Raf lifted an eyebrow.
Your eyes widened when you realized it now that they mentioned it.  Fowler’s facial expression changed, a clear indicator that the same just occurred to him.
“None of this makes a lick of sense,” the black male voiced what everyone was thinking, “they had us in the crosshairs, but the 'Cons just took off.”
“They even bailed on that spark extractor thingy.” Miko waved her hand, as confused as everyone else.
“Megatron could have gotten the spark extractor AND destroyed Optimus. He would never turn down something like that. Why?” The thought tangled in your mind as you tried to make sense of it.
“Wait,” Jack said when an idea struck him. “If the ship isn’t cloaked, maybe the communications relays are open and-”
“Ehp, eph.” The medic cut him off and rotated around to the teenagers. “Are you suggesting that we just call Megatron and ask him what’s happening up there?!” he sarcastically thought, attempting to show the insanity of the idea.
As ridiculous and unlikely as it sounded, surprisingly, it didn’t sound like a bad idea considering the circumstances. The kids simultaneously shrugged and Ratchet looked in shock as it struck him that they were serious. For better or worse, it was probably the best plan. You needed to know what was going on. It was worth a shot. Ratchet then stared at Fowler and you for your opinion. You both did the same as the humans before.
After contemplating, he finally opened up communication. This gave enough time for the three to climb up onto the same floor you were on. “This is Outpost Omega One to Decepticon warship. Megatron, please respond.” If he felt awkward sending a message to Megatron, he wasn’t showing any signs of it.
He glared at the larger screen, waiting for a response, but none came. You held your breath. Were you actually going to hear Megatron? Even if he was on Nemesis and couldn’t do anything to you while you were safely at the base, the thought terrified you. At the same time, you wanted him to answer, to figure out if everything was okay, if Knockout was okay. Maybe you would get lucky and the shiny, red mech would answer. However, that scenario was unlikely and everyone would be suspicious if you began fangirling before you could stop yourself.
More silence. Was it supposed to be this long? Did Megatron decide to ignore them?
“Megatron,” Ratchet repeated.
Everyone seemed to freeze, yet there was more silence. You expected it to last as long as the last one, when suddenly a noise hit your ear. A bee-do-beep of someone connecting to the comm link reverberated in the air.
“Megatron has been relieved of his command,” an unfamiliar, intimidating voice shot out of the speakers. There was no picture on the screen identifying who it was. Almost made you wish the 'Cons stayed quiet, but it presented an important piece of information and you were eager to learn more.
Ratchet’s faceplate briefly twisted in confusion before returning to its former stern state. He was probably wondering who it was and how Megatron, being as strong as he is, could be pulled off of his Decepticon throne. The latter was the one currently on your mind, along with if Knockout was well.
“Who is this?” Ratchet questioned.
“ 'Who is this?’ ” the deep voice repeated.
“Have you taken control of the Decepticon vessel?”
All of the humans stared at the huge cybertronian monitor, while Raf stared at Ratchet. Fear of the current situation was written on the young boy’s face.
“I AM the Decepticon vessel
The color drained from your face at that news. The warship was alive? Whaaa…
"Any Cybertronian who interferes with my mission will be neutralized,” Nemesis continued.
The previously green screen suddenly hosted large pictures of frozen Decepticons. It flickered through three individual images, displaying some vehicons frozen to panic and insecticons on the ceiling unmoving. To your dismay or relief, it didn’t show Knockout. It only left you feeling restless at the uncertainty of his condition. Then they faded away to how the console appeared before.
“What mission?” Ratchet asked in a less authoritive tone, most likely a result from processing the new, alarming information.
“Priority one, decrypt Iacon database and recover Decepticon technology.” he spoke as if reading a script
“For what purpose?” the medic pressed for more information.
Everyone stayed focusing on the blurry, static picture as if it would change into something interesting. No reply. Then the static identification picture blinked out as the link ended.
“He hung up? Rude!” Miko commented and crossed her arms. You stared at her. Clearly her priorities were pretty mixed up if her first concern was a huge warship being rude, rather than the fact the Decepticon vessel just got a mind of its own and is holding the 'Cons hostage or worse.
There was no telling how dangerous it could be. Although, your top concern was what happened to Knockout. You prayed with all of your heart he was safe.
“Rude?!” Apparently, the older agent had the same thought as you. “There’s a giant spaceship, flying around, collecting Decepticon weapons of mass destruction!” He waved his hands around.
“Ah ah,” Jack interrupted, “A ship filled with neutralized Decepticons.”
“How does that make it any better?” you questioned.
“This could our only chance to slip aboard and download the Iacon database,” the teenager explained. He pointed up as if the ship were above you.
“So Optimus can decode it,” Raf finished Jack’s thought.
You nodded and had to agree. It was a great plan, and you were surprised it never occurred to you.
Ratchet turned to them, staring down as he processed it. “Ingenious.” He was clearly impressed. He looked up with certainty. “I will infiltrate the Decepticon warship.”
“No!” you blurted out. Provided, you were mostly concerned about Knockout, but you still cared about your other Cybertronian friends.
“Not ingenious,” Jack disagreed, putting emphasis on the first word. “You saw what it did to the Decepticons.”
“And probably Megatron too,” Raf added.
“And team Prime,” Miko read more off the list of Cybertronians who were neutralized. Her gaze became hard and serious.
“Yeah. We can’t have you frozen too,” you objected.
“But that tub had me dead to rights, and I’m still breathing,” Fowler pointed out, smiling.
“The ship may be blind to humans,” Jack concluded the best answer.
A smile crept onto your face as a plan cooked in your mind.
“Very well, Agent Fowler,” the Cybertronian reluctantly agreed. “But at the first sign of trouble, I am bridging you right back here.” He shifted to face the console and pulled out what looked to be an alien version of a USB, like what Jack had that restored Optimus Prime’s memory. “Now, in order to download the database, you will need a compatible transfer drive.” He held out the USB, which was relatively the same size as a book. A slightly oversized book.
“A what?” Fowler had confusion written all over his face as he took the drive with two hands.
“He’ll also need tech support,” Raf volunteered with a smirk, knowing that he’d be coming along.
“And backup,” Miko nodded with her arms crossed.
“Which includes me.” You stood tall. You wanted to help your friends. Besides, it would be cool to go on the ship and possibly see your favorite Decepticon. It would be nerve-racking, but your excitement removed any fear.
“Hrmm, very well,” the medic grumbled. Faltering over to the controls for the groundbirdge, he punched in the coordinates and the way through started up out of nowhere.
The colors danced around in a wonderful phenomenon, however your eyes and mind had grown accustomed to it with how frequently it was used. You took a deep breath to steel yourself, knowing that the enemy’s vessel was on the other side.
“Be careful,” Ratchet reminded, his voice taking a more gentle tone.
“We will,” Jack nodded before marching through.
they casually walked in, confidence boosted by the fact they were all paralyzed. They all stood there, towering over you. The fact that they were so stiff and lifeless made it feel like a horror movie. As soon as Fowler made it through, the swirling vortex closed behind you as if it was never there.
“Fowler to base. We’re in,” the agent reported back with the drive tucked beneath his right arm.
“Good,” Ratchet answered. “Their data core should be accessible from any console.”
All of you began your trek through Nemesis’ dark and long corridors. They all stood there, towering over you. The fact that they were so stiff and lifeless made it feel like a horror movie. Miko stared up and Jack stepped over a giant foot.
Was the fact that the corridors were long mentioned before? Because you were beginning to sweat. You prayed that you wouldn’t have to walk much farther. Then again, this is a Cybertronian sized ship. What did you expect? And of course Megatron would have to punish the Decepticons with long walks and halls that all looked the same!
Raf gulped when you reached the end of the corridor and it split into two, “H-here’s one.” He tentatively point to the right.
Your prayers were answered, both of them. A console, and the one you wanted to see the most.
You spied Knockout, frozen and leaning on the console. He may have been paralyzed, but at least he was still alive. It made your heart ache and wish you could help him. However, it was probably better that he wasn’t awake, so he would be unable to squish any of you. That was the problem with him being a Decepticon.
The Japanese girl ran up to him. She banged her fist on him three times. Knock, knock knock! You had to clamp your hand over your mouth and bite your tongue to prevent yourself from screaming at her to be careful, not hurt him, or mess up his finish.
“Doc Knock is knocked out,” she grinned with satisfaction.
You smiled slightly and loosened up at  Miko’s joke, finding it somewhat humorous. Although you felt guilty for it.
After Miko confirmed that Knockout wouldn’t be awake to hurt you, you were the first to run over. Your eyes stared up at him and all of his shiny glory. The way the light from the console shone on him and causing the illusion of his color being slightly altered was magnificent. He was even more hot in person, especially this close.
Your heart skipped a beat. You had never been that close to him before! After some hesitation, and wiping your hands on your pants, you lightly ran your fingers against his finish. Although it wasn’t long, since you didn’t want to ruin perfection with your oils. It felt so smooth and glossy. A touch of heaven. That made you both want to touch it more, and afraid to touch it in fear you would spoil it. You were dragged back to reality and took a step back when Raf began speaking.
“Look. The ship’s decoded two sets of Iacon coordinates.” Raf stepped closer and stared up at the console with wide eyes. Red from the screen reflected off of his glasses. A beep cut through the eerie silence and a row of random lines was added to the other two. “Three!” he added. The young boy flipped around to Fowler and the drive. “Let’s rip and run.”
“Okay,” you nodded and stared up, trying not to lock your gaze on the red mech since everyone was watching. “How’re we gonna get up?”
Without any words, Raf rushed to the bottom of Knockout’s pede with Agent Fowler following closely behind. You tilted your head in question of what they were going to do when they began climbing on the Cybertronian, using him like a ladder to get up. A bright red blush to rival your crush’s armor sprang onto your face. It came into realization that you would have to do the same.
“There’s the port,” Raf said once he reached the top, but you hadn’t made it up yet.
You never felt more nervous in your life. At first thought, you considered taking your shoes off, as to not scuff the paint. However, you were doubtful of how clean your socks were, besides, the others would question why you took your shoes off. Taking a deep breath to calm your nerves, you placed a shaky hand on Knockout to steady yourself as you hesitantly began climbing.
“Sorry, Knockout. Please forgive me,” you whispered under your breath, facing down in attempt to make this plead unheard by the others above you.
Your face became a more radiant red, if that was possible as you made your way up him. You did everything in your power to not get finger smudges on him. Thankfully, the way he was leaning forward made it easier to scramble up, rather than having to vertically scale him.
Fowler and Raf had moved a lot quicker than you as you were hesitant and careful. You heard the drive click into the port and a soft beep emanated from the data being downloaded. When you reached the top, you stayed standing on Knockout, on the black part between his head and red shoulders, for a few seconds, not wanting to leap off of him. You debated sitting on his shoulder or not. At first you decided you had a job to do and the others may judge, although it was a shame considering you would probably never be the same position again.
Taking a glance down, you noticed that Miko and Jack decided not to climb up. Another blush crept up as you realized that you didn’t need to climb up. Well, it was done. Now you wanted to stay, and you were glad you were able to touch him so much. You pressed your lips together into a line and pondered it. On second thought you decided you would sit, you didn’t need to stand on the console. They didn’t need your help. Besides, you were afraid you would accidentally press a wrong button on the control panel if you did.
With a smile, you sat on his shoulder. You made a small prayer that your pants were clean enough. It felt nice sitting there, like you belonged there. You were convinced you could have stayed like that forever. When you were sure no one was looking, you stared down and admire Knockout’s face.
That’s when a brilliant and awesome idea came into your head.  What if you took a selfie? That would be like a dream come true, aside from actually being friends with or dating him. It was risky, as in they could very well spot you doing it… It was too tempting. You would probably never get the opportunity for this again. The rewards outweighed the risk, and you simply couldn’t help yourself.
You stepped down and flipped out your phone. After tapping on the camera, you started to angle it correctly.
“Seriously?” Miko on the ground shook her head in disbelief.
“When else will I get a chance like this?” Your eyes stayed fixed on the phone screen, carefully positioning the phone so it gets both you and Knockout’s face without dropping your phone. Dropping it this high would probably break it. With the way his helm was dangling from being shot with the paralyze beam, it made it more difficult than you wanted.
Upon clicking the button to take the picture a few times, you smirked and examined the selfies. They were clear and fit enough you and him in. It was a little dark, but there wasn’t much you could do about it. If you activated the flash, you’d have the whole room’s shifting their focus onto you. Apparently the teenage girl decided to ignore you, because she wasn’t paying you any attention now. Thankfully, no one else seemed to take notice of her remark. You were very giddy and grateful that you got the opportunity to do that. You felt like a kid left in a candy store, told you could get whatever you want.
Miko and Jack below stared up. They studied the screen and the warship’s destination displayed on it.
“Um, why is the warship heading for Manhattan?”  Jack inquired upon peering closer at a smaller screen to the left of the larger one.
Everyone else followed his gaze to verify the truth of his words. What you saw confirmed it. It displayed a map of the north section of the western hemisphere. One moving circle hovered above the Atlantic ocean, most likely where you were located now, and the other stayed grounded in New York.
Raf’s eyes shifted back over to the decoded coordinates. The first set was flashing. “Because that’s where first set of coordinates are located?”
“What?!” you let out in surprise, sitting up straighter and almost standing. Thankfully, this didn’t draw any attention to yourself and they didn’t notice you sitting on the Decepticon. They were too concerned with processing the information and staring at the screen.
Fowler’s face displayed fear like you had never seen from him before. “What would a relic from Cybertron be doing in the Big Apple?”
“The Iacon relics landed on Earth eons ago, Agent Fowler,” Ratchet explained gravely on the other side of communications, “long before the city was built atop it.”
Jack immediately deciphered the meaning of the situation. “Which means if the ship wants this one it may have to move some buildings out of the way.”
All of the present humans’ eyes stayed locked on the map in horror. The Nemesis clearly  had lots of power, and without the Decepticons controlling it, it would make no effort to stay hidden. It would simply use all the fire power it could to complete its goal. How much damage would be caused and how many lives would be taken if it reached the city?
“Our mission just got complicated,” Fowler stated while pressing the earpiece. “How do we deter this ship?”
As he spoke, you noticed the other two humans, climbing up. Barely managing to stop the whine that desired to vibrate in your throat, you hopped onto the platform for the console’s keyboard. You couldn’t help but cross your arm and glare whenever Jack and Miko appeared in your line of vision for ruining your time with Knockout. Instead you averted your gaze to the map as they stepped onto the same platform as you. Normally you’d be nervous and doubting if it could support everyone’s weight, although these uncertainties to the back of your head. Raf was staring down, holding his chin while he thought.
“I would advise disabling the navigation module. Call up the main navigation menu,” Ratchet instructed.
You followed everyone’s gaze to the controls to the left of the one you stood on.
“There,” Raf pointed. How he knew that the other panel was for the navigation, you had no idea. It looked exactly the same as the one you were on. Maybe because it was under the screen displaying the map.
Before the boy could make any other movement, Agent Fowler lifted his hand in front of him. “Step aside, son.”
He leaped to the other side. When he tried to figure out how to make it work, it pressed his hand onto a slab of metal that stuck out slightly farther than the rest. As soon as his hand came into contact, there was a zap. Electricity danced around his hand. You and the other three jolted in shock. The government agent groaned previous to falling backwards unconscious. Unfortunately, backwards was right off the platform.
“Agent Fowler!” Jack cried out.
All of you rushed to reach him, but it was too late. He took a heavy hit as he slumped to the floor. You cringed at the muffled bang of him colliding with the ground. All you could do was pray that the damage from both the shock and falling would only be temporary. He rolled over and groaned weakly.
“System access detected,” the same voice from early on the comm broke you out of your transfixed horror. Once again, you and the other three jumped and hastily searched the room, although this time out of fear. Your figures were rigid. “Interference will not be tolerated.”
“There,” Raf said once he spotted it.
He pointed up at something that resembled an egg poking out of the ceiling and lowering slightly. It was shiny and black. If you were seeing correctly, you thought you saw a camera installed in it. It swiveled around to scan the room.
“Reveal yourself,” it demanded. At one point, the camera seemed to point straight at you
“It doesn’t see us,” Miko grinned in victory, loosening up her fighting stance.
You felt yourself smile a little, relieved at the good news.
“Yet,” Ratchet grumpily reminded. “The ship must not be scanning for carbon-based life-forms. But once it widens its search parameters…”
“We’re toast,” Raf finished.
“I’m bridging you back.”
“No,” Jack waved his hands in an 'X’ while firmly refusing. “There are millions of lives at stake in New York, and we four are currently the only ones who can do anything about it.”
Once again, Jack was the master of logic, and you agreed. If humans couldn’t be seen, then the four of you were the only ones who could save everyone. You glanced down, shifting from Fowler to Knockout, your eyes lingering on the red mech. You didn’t want the same thing to happen to you, but you needed to stop this thing to save Knockout from this frozen state… oh, and the Autobots… aaaannd all the other people in New York that you completely just forgot about. Apparently Knockout’s life, although he wasn’t technically dead, meant more to you than millions of people. You had strange priorities. Maybe it was time you got them straight and/or took some therapy… Nah!
“If it knows we’re here now, shouldn’t we talk more quietly so it doesn’t detect us through sound?” you urgently whispered.
“The sounds you’re making is too quiet  for the ship to detect,” the medic answered you. “You’re out of your element, Jack. These readings, the ship’s rapid recovery,” he listed, “all point to the fact that Megatron employed Dark Energon to repair it.”
Jack had leaped down when Ratchet was speaking. “Hold on,” Jack interrupted as he took Fowler’s pulse. “If you’re saying the ship is fueled by dark Energon, we can dump it, right?”
Miko and Raf lowered themselves on the edge and let themselves drop to follow Jack. They landed on their feet with zero apparent injuries.
It probably wasn’t a long way down if they were fine, but it looked unsettled from your position. You bit your lip as you prepared yourself to jump. However, when counting down from three, you stopped on two because of an idea floating into your brain. You practically skipped back to Knockout and climbed down on him. Not only did you get to touch him again and be close to him
“Hmm,” Ratchet made a sound of approval you never thought you’d hear. “You’ll need to reserve the warship’s Energon infuser. Follow the main overhead conduits,” he instructed.
“I think I should stay here,” you stated, holding your hands close to you, “in case anything changes on the screen and to watch Fowler. I don’t think we should move him in this state and I don’t think we should just leave him either.”
They nodded. “Good idea,” Jack approved, “Just stay out of trouble.” With that, they bolted down the corridor, following Ratchet’s directions.
“I will.” You mumbled as they turned out of sight, “Not much trouble I can get into just sitting here.” You knew what they meant, don’t get neutralized. Then once again, your eyes landed onto the familiar glossy finish.  With a smirk, you added, “Well, if he were awake I see how I could get into trouble.”
Most of your time was spent admiring Knockout, sitting on him and kicking your legs back and forth. You occasionally glance at Fowler or the screen to make sure nothing changed. To most, it may have been uninteresting, but considering that most did not have an obsession with a shiny red Decepticon, or maybe most would if they knew his existence, you were occupied with studying every detail of Knockout. The only thing that could make it better is if he were awake, in a situation where you’re friends, and you could talk.
While gazing into his face, you realized something you could do. Something you were tempted to do. Kiss him. Your face flamed up to the same color as his armor. You could do it, no one would see. Wait a second, there were probably security cameras, although even if that weren’t a possibility, you’d still be hesitant just because it’s embarrassing. Whining slightly, you bit on your lip as you restrained yourself.
A sound of smooth motors moving distracted you from your current daydream. Your eyes immediately leapt to the ceiling to observe a gun device lowering and pointing at you.
“I am infested with alien life-forms!” Nemesis growled.
It must have widened its search enough now. “Uh oh.” You let yourself slid off of Knockout. Fortunately, the cannon was aiming higher, probably at your head, thus it just barely missed Knockout. You were barely look back at the blaster before it began firing again. A light blue electrical orb sailed over your head as you ducked and bolted out of its path. Your head turned all over the place, with your hair flying, to find a place to hide.
Strangely enough, when the fact that it was an area built for larger creatures was taken into account, there weren’t many places to take cover. One of the few places you spotted was underneath the console controls, a dark pocket to stay out of sight. That was the area you rushed to. Blood pounded in your ears as you pumped your legs as fast as you could, paranoid that a blast would hit you.
Once in the cover of the shadows, your eyes searched for any danger. You noticed Fowler still passed out on the floor. Fortunately, the warship seemed to completely pass over Agent Fowler, probably since it already shocked him. That made it easier for you; all you needed to worry about was yourself. In the middle of your thought, you spotted the gun lowering itself until it saw you. Without any time to spit out a curse at your luck, you lurched out of the way.
“All parasites will be eradicated!” it shouted again.
The only other place you could go to avoid being neutralized was behind Knockout. You didn’t want him to get him himself from being your shield; however that blaster wasn’t giving you much of a choice. You ducked behind him, your back just an inch away from touching him. The balls that Nemesis attempted to throw at you buzzed upon coming into contact with him. “Sorry.” You hoped it wasn’t hurting him.
It seemed like it ran out of options of how to freeze you, or maybe it just hadn’t calculated another way yet. Before it could, the gun slowly choked and paused like a lawnmower running out of gas.
“Critical power drain. I am… in… command. Prepare to be… neutralized…” The final string of its power and command was undone. It sputtered while being pulled back into the ceiling, a welcomed action that caused you to sigh in relief. The light began to fade from red to blue.
“They must have done it.” You smiled in victory.
The screens and lights faded from creepy red to a pleasant blue, not to different from the color of energon or the Autobots’ optics. The room was still dim, yet it filled you with hope and served as another sign that the mission was accomplished. Agent Fowler was gradually waking up. You were unaware if the damage had simply worn off, or if all the Cybertronians who were hit would presently wake up.
Your gaze shifted to Knockout. You felt guilty about using him as a shield, but now you were worried about something else. What if he wasn’t paralyzed anymore? He did seem to be slumping over more. You decided to hide in case he wakes up, not wanting him to crush you or be disgusted by a human. If he was disgusted at the sight of you it would break your heart. You managed to drag Fowler under the console into hiding with you, to prevent him from meeting the fate you imagined.
Upon seeing Jack, Miko, and Raf dash to you, a rush of joy came over you. The fear of being caught by a non-neutralized Decepticon flowed out of you and was replaced with euphoria for saving the day and the mission completed. You came out of hiding under the console to meet them. The whole time you moved as quickly as you could while helping Fowler walk.
“You’re back! Is there a button we need to press to make the Cybertronians go back to normal or-” you began, wanting to make sure Knockout and the Autobots would be able to move again.
“They’re already waking up.” Jack pointed behind him, “We saw Megatron unfreeze. We need to get out of here.”
“Megatron?!” Your eyes widened and felt a scare cord being struck at the tyrant’s name. Your friends were brave.  Then your brows furrowed in confusion, since Knockout was still frozen. Then you nodded when you remember how many times he was hit when you were hiding. Of course it would take him longer to come out of it, considering that the ship was firing every three seconds.
Miko slung Fowler’s arm over her shoulder. "On your feet, soldier!” She aided you, taking the man’s weight out of your hands.
“And beavers and ducks and walnuts and grandma?” he deliriously spoke while flailing his other arms as much as you would allow. With that he wiggled out of yours and Miko’s hold, causing him to fall onto the ground again. Miko appeared seriously freaked out. If it weren’t for the still dangerous circumstances you were in, you might have laughed.
A beep emitted from the monitor which drew your attention to it. A fourth Iacon relic location was revealed. The bar that displayed the download progress was half way filled.
“That’s all that’s been downloaded?!” Jack exclaimed in frustration at the slow rate of progress.
Maybe it would have been better to let Nemesis stay in control for just a little longer to download more. Then again, that wouldn’t have been an option considering that it detected you humans just seconds before you shut it off. If it had seen you sooner, you all may have been immobilized.
“The Iacon file must be huge!” Raf reasoned in attempt to calm the older teenager.
The whirring of a groundbridge appearing from behind made you turn around. There it was, your beautiful ride home in all of its colorful glory, although not as glorious as Knockout’s colors you might add. Speaking of which, you probably needed to book it out of there before he awoke.
“Sa-weet!” Miko let out. She attempted to carry Fowler out by supporting his arm on her shoulder. Raf did the same on the other side. “Come on! Here’s our ride!” Her eyes locked onto the portal as they stepped towards it.
You were about to copy their movements when you noticed Jack standing his ground. That was when you remembered the drive. Oh right, you felt like facepalming, you were such a dummy! How could you forget something so important?
Raf noticed it too. “Jack?” he turned his head.
“Get Fowler out of here,” Jack ordered.
“I’ll help.” You ran back to him. You didn’t particularly want to be around when Knockout came out of his neutralized state, for reasons stated above. Although you didn’t want to seem like a coward, especially after the other three dumped the dark energon while you stayed behind. Plus, you were still somewhat reluctant to leave Knockout.
“No, I can handle it, you need to go!” He waved his hand.
“Nope! I’m helping,” you shook your head, firmly refusing.
He sighed knowing that it would absorb too much time to convince you to go. Marching forward, he stared at the drive with the precious downloaded information. “Some’s better than nothing,” he admitted. “I’m not leaving without that drive.” With that he clambered up.
To your amazement, you began crawling up Knockout before Jack did. You grinned at your triumph over your uneasiness about it. Now if only you had remembered gloves. It was painful to feel how oily your fingers were on his flawless finish. You could possibly leave a note apologizing for the fingerprints. You pouted when you remembered that you had to leave as soon as possible and couldn’t linger on his shoulder that time.
Promptly, you hopped off onto the panel and tugged on the drive along with Jack. His back was facing Knockout, while you were facing the opposite way, wanting to see Knockout as you worked. You grunted while pulling on it, the drive showing resistance.
As soon as the Decepticon medic opened his optics, you saw, since you had been staring at him without realizing it. “Uh oh,” your face paled. Your eyes widened, however, not from shock, from staring into his amazing red optics. You didn’t think you’ve ever seen any more gorgeous optics, the way it was a glowing red ring surrounded by dark red. It made you forget everything for a second. Maybe it was worth possibly becoming squished to witness it.
The way he smirked after spotting you just made him twice as hot. At that moment, Jack noticed your reaction and turned around, his facial expression making it clear that he already guessed what happened. He stepped back, completely forgetting about the drive.
Knockout flicked his servo into a long, skinny drill that would be terrifying enough to make it into a horror movie. At this motion, Jack stumbled back and fell. You took another step away while crouching and gnawing on your lip. No, he’s the villain and about to kill you, you can’t be mentally fangirling over how hot he is, you thought to yourself.
“Say 'ahh’,” he spoke in a threatening tone with his smooth voice while moving the drill closer to you and Jack. Yet his face still appeared as handsome as ever and you wished you could take a picture.
“Ah,” you quickly said, before you could stop yourself from following his command.
His drill flinched back and paused. He seemed confused and raised an optic ridge, surprised and amused by your response. A small smile began to creep into his facial features.
“I’m here to offer a second opinion,” Ratchet, who you hadn’t noticed coming through the groundbridge because your attention was set on Knockout, said right before he threw a punch. It knocked the Decepticon medic, who was turning around, into the console with a loud crash. The impact then sent him flying back and hitting the ground, his back facing the ceiling.
You felt bad for him, staring down. Who knew Ratchet could pack a punch like that? Or maybe you should have known. Once again, you were tempted to kiss Knockout, as if your affection would heal him. If there were camera filming, whoever would watch it would think you just walked close to Knockout and not realize unless they actually paid attention. Either that or there would be so much going on they would completely miss it.
Plus, Jack and Ratchet were focusing on each other. It left an opening. In the chaos and what was going on, you’d do it so briskly no one would even notice. It was risky, but the lack of time pressured you. When else will you get a perfect opportunity like that? In the end you decided to go for it.
You allowed yourself to slip down and began rushing to his face as soon as your feet hit the floor. Since you had made your decision so quickly, Ratchet was just beginning to reach over to pick Jack up while you were doing this. Upon reaching the mech’s white faceplate, you leaned in a placed your lips on his cheek for a second. He felt so cool and smooth, like before. However your lips were more sensitive than your fingers, making the experience twice, or even triple, times as amazing.
You heard the drive being pulled out with a shink, which meant it was time to go. After giving him a small peck, you practically skipped around to where they’d see you, feeling giddy with what you’d done.
“Where’s (Y/n)?” Ratchet asked while he searched the room.
“Down here!” you yelled and waved on your tippy toes, now standing just a foot away from the tip of Knockout’s helm.
Ratchet reached down to pick you up after handing Jack, who was in his other hand, the dive. You could have run just fine, but the Autobot medic was faster than you, and he probably wanted to get you out of there as soon as possible.
“Bye,” you yelled and waved happily, still excited from what you accomplished, as you were carried through the tunnel of light.
Although the whole dark energon taking over the Nemesis was a bad thing, you were still happy it happened. If it didn’t, Knockout would now be dead and you wouldn’t get to see him up close or kiss him. You hoped you would see him again soon.

Okay, so hear me out. How about I change that certain movie a bit? Let’s start right when Unicron-Megatron arrives at the field with the Predacon bones and Starscream gets an orgasm thinking his beloved abuser master is back.
Tumblr media
I feel so bad for Starscream. He thinks everything is going to be okay again. Megatron is his protector after all. The only one who bothers to keep him around. What’s getting punched in the face and getting ridiculed from time to time when you aren’t left for dead? At least to Starscream it’s a good deal because he is used to abuse. Sometimes I think about a scene where Unicron not only punches Starscream, but threatens to kill him. If Megatron actually had a slither of fondness for Starscream or at least remembered what a total wild card he can be in the grand scheme of things, he could have tried his mind tricks on Unicron like he did with Predaking before.  I don’t know. Just to humanize him a bit. Think more of Starscream than that he suffers entertainingly. Buuut, let’s keep it as canon as we can. Scrap that scene. Let’s focus on things that actually could and should have happened!
When Unicron revives the Predacons, Starscream flees and Shockwave stays back because he is a slow inferior ground vehicle. Well, remember that Starscream pays back his debts? Remember that Shockwave grabbed Starscream at the end of season 3 and probably saved him from imprisonment or death? (I highly doubt the Autobots would have killed Starscream if he had had the chance to “avenge Megatron”, but Starscream just expects the worst from everyone, so...)  Since a horde of zombies is scary either way, Starscream flees at first, but then he decides to help Shockwave, the bot that kept him company and was his comrade after Megatron’s demise. Shockwave is about to be overpowered, but a few missiles give him some room to move again. Zombiecons really are not much better than Vehicons, Predacons or not. Megatron revived a whole army and Optimus and Ratchet had little problem slicing and dicing them all back in season 1. Dark energon is really overrated. It’s worthless actually. Megatron is a fool.
Anyway, as a nice quote from G1 which we know TF series can’t get enough of, Shockwave climbs on Starscream’s vehicle mode and together they can escape. We know Starscream is strong enough to carry Shockwave. He had no problem flying Knock Out around. Shockwave probably thinks that Starscream’s dangerous move was illogical, but Starscream just tells him to shut up.
Tumblr media
What happens next? They try to free Knock Out and the Vehicons of course. The more the merrier. With Shockwave around, Knock Out thinks twice about who is gonna be the winning team here and doesn’t stab Starscream in the back over some petty thing. A petty thing I would call the emergency brake writers pull when A: Starscream gets a friend. Or B: Two male characters get some really nice chemistry.
Tumblr media
I personally have no problem with Knock Out basically being a spineless Starscream who believes in nothing but his looks. What I have a problem with is the way he is treated. He is fucking dangerous and came pretty close to killing some members of team Prime. However, “No Autobot except Cliffjumper dies in this series by Decepticon hand” syndrome prevented that. He doesn’t believe in any of the Autobots’s morals. He doesn’t care if humanity gets wiped out. He has no honor, no loyalty. He contributes absolutely nothing in the fight against Unicron. The Autobots shouldn’t have treated him like a longtime member of team Prime. He shouldn’t have gotten away scot-free at the end of the movie as if he was actually good! It’s so unsatisfying and completely unearned! Breakdown, Starscream, even Dreadwing would have been better candidates for the turncoat. But nah, fuck actual character, Knock Out is cute and funny! He shall be good now! WRONG! Knock Out is a chicken shit opportunist, who will follow the faction in power. He would have submitted to Unicron if Unicron wasn’t about complete annihilation. Something like that shouldn’t be rewarded. If RiD did one thing right, it was showing Knock Out to be uncaring about Autobot stuff and just racing around on earth. So. Phew. Rant over. We will have none of that shit here. Decepticons and Autobots are at a standoff. And Bee won’t pull his dumb “Do you believe me or your own eyes?” shit either. Instead we do something else.
Tumblr media
Arcee knows that Starscream follows somewhat of an honor code. He had saved her from Airachnid and spared her life. So she tries to actually bargain with him. While the other Autobots are more like “The heck are you trying here, Arcee?”, she starts talking about whether Starscream really wants to abandon Cybertron and lose it to destruction, this time irreversible. After all, he had put so much effort in reviving it, getting the keys and all. Bee maybe catches on and strokes his ego and Starscream is like “Whoah, what you guys say isn’t even that wrong...!” Shockwave is skeptical, Knock Out just wants to be safe, but everyone comes to the conclusion that together, Autobots and Decepticons, they might have a chance. And so they do their all to fight for their home. And with “do their all” I mean it. They use everything. The Autobots free Soundwave from the shadow zone and if there is one good thing about Soundwave, it’s that he follows Starscream’s orders. Without Megatron, Starscream is the leader of the Decepticons, just like he had been in season 1. Also the prospect of beating Unicron out of Megatron’s body might motivate him too.
So they fly with the Nemesis to Primus’s anus and get battle ready.
Tumblr media
In order to give the Zombiecons the smallest attack surface, they position themselves accordingly. Every Iaconic artifact gets used. Immobilizer, phaseshifter, shield... the Nemesis’s cannons... It’s a crazy fight and everybody is contributing. And then Starscream says “I would have never thought I’d die side by side with a grounder” to Knock Out and Knock Out responds with “How about side by side with a friend?” and... Maybe we even get some nice Autobot/Decepticon teamwork. Some really nice, fanservice-y shit. But the battle is hard and even with the Predacons joining them, they are about to be overwhelmed...
Until Prime and Wheeljack show up. Unicron finally enters the battle himself and Optimus and him start an epic fight surrounded by Autobots, Decepticons, Predacons and zombies. It seems like Prime will actually win and the morale is high. Until Unicron throws him to the ground and stabs him, Megatron screaming in his head. That’s not how Megatron had intended for their eon-long fight to end. He is overcome by guilt and regret. After all, his tinkering with Unicron’s blood had caused this outcome. Him, being nothing but a puppet, killing the one he once called his friend.
Tumblr media
The Autobots are devastated and unbelieving. The Decepticons are more like “Oh no, I guess...” Then Bee pulls his leader potential out of his aft since it’s time not for gods and Primes to define destiny, but for the average man! He quickly advises everyone to focus on Unicron and keep him occupied, never letting him target just one and overwhelm them, but having an advantage thanks to their quantity. Wheeljack holds Primus’s spark box like a hot potato asking what to do with it now and Bee says, they’ll get it where it belongs. So all of our good flyers are supposed to get the box to the core. Predaking, Skylynx, Darksteel, Soundwave, Starscream eye each other like “Is that a good idea?”, but there is no better plan. One of them holds the box while the others flank him, protecting him from any potential Zombiecons slipping through the now far weaker protection of the remaining bots. Unicron becomes aware of what is happening and follows them. With his super ultra speed he quickly catches up and the flyers have to throw the box from one to the other in order to get it out of Unicrons reach. Once more they show how important camaraderie, teamwork and friendship is... eh... even if all the flyers are Decepticons and Predacons, lol... Like... Like this is a GOOD moral, okay?! Different species working together, even though they were evil or kinda evil... there is worth in life, even if said life wasn’t always pure.
Eventually, one of them opens the box and throws it in a last ditch effort towards the core, reviving Primus. The sparks burst towards the sky and Unicron’s spirit is ripped from Megatron’s body, carried to who knows where... whatever Primus deems right.
Tumblr media
Now, everything is good, isn’t it? Well, not for Megatron. He doesn’t have a place on the new Cybertron and chooses the exile. But Starscream is having nothing of that. Cybertron is theirs to take now, isn’t it? The Decepticons agree and Bee and the Autobots are like “Really?!?”, while the Predacons are like “Whatever... don’t try shit with us, though.”
Megatron is absolutely against any more carnage and says the war had been a mistake. Starscream can’t believe what he is hearing. Everything he ever did, was for nothing? All the losses? All the beatings? He tries to convince Megatron and tells him what he had done in his name. Cloned more Predacons, tried to avenge him. He is loyal for fuck’s sake!! He is like Megatron has always wanted him to be! Now that is all wrong and he had suffered uselessly?
Megatron just says, that Starscream had wasted his time. Then he wants to fly off, but Starscream holds him back, grabbing his arm. How can Megatron leave him now?! Megatron pushes him away and hurts his wing so he won’t get any ideas of following him before he transforms and flies away.
Starscream is devastated. He has a breakdown. He reaches for his hurt wing and Knock Out is the first by his side, hearing him cry: “I can’t be alone again!” Knock Out shakes his head, smiling faintly. “But you have us.” Indeed. Even Soundwave was just disillusioned by Megatron’s sudden antics. There is no use following such a coward.
Autobots and Decepticons form a shaky peace agreement for now, everyone having to deal with the losses of their leaders and their almost destruction. The tone is somber, but Cybertron lives again. It is time for a new beginning...

A Boy and His Transforming Motorcycle Friend
Archive of Our Own link
And here’s the first story I’ve written for the Transformette AU. If anyone wants to share their thoughts on it or offer advice on how I can improve, you’re more than welcome to.
“WHAT!?”
For once, Ladybug and Queen Bee were both on the same page when Optimus Prime gave his orders.
Earlier that day, they were both caught up in a battle with the Decepticons Volpina and Silencer and accidentally revealed themselves to three humans. They had no other choice but to take them back to their base after explaining the situation to Optimus.
He concluded that since they knew about the existence of the Autobots, it was reasonable to assume that the Decepticons would know about the humans too, endangering their lives. So Optimus assigned Ladybug, Queen Bee, and Stoneheart to watch over them.
While Ladybug was shocked at the order, Queen Bee was more vocal in her apprehension.
“Optimus, do you really expect one of those… things to go inside me?” Queen Bee shuddered at the thought. She was already repulsed by all the organic life on this planet, and now she had to look after one?
“Uh, we have names, you know.” The Autobots looked down to see one of the humans talking to them. She had dark skin, wore a plaid shirt and optical enhancers (although she said they were called “glasses”), and went by the name of Alya.
The one next to her also had dark skin and optical enhancers, but was a male wearing a blue shirt and a red hat who called himself Nino.
The last human had lighter skin and hair and wore a white shirt over a black shirt. His name was Adrien.
Queen Bee didn’t care. All she saw were three organic lifeforms she wanted nothing to do with. “Why can’t we just place them in a cage and lock them away in the base? Doesn’t that sound easier?” Queen Bee asked Optimus, only earning a stern glare from her commander in response.
“Queen Bee, it is only logical that we spend time with the inhabitants of this so we can better understand those we are fighting to protect. You are to become the guardian of Alya.” Queen Bee felt part of her spark die a little when she heard that sentence.
“Stoneheart, you shall look after Nino.” Stoneheart looked down at Nino and smiled, eager to get to know him.
“And Ladybug, Adrien shall be your top concern.” Ladybug was still incredibly flustered at Optimus’ order. She knew next to nothing about humans, and was worried she would make a mistake in guarding Adrien, or possibly break him.
So with their orders, Queen Bee and Stoneheart transformed into their respective vehicle forms, a sleek yellow and black sports car and a camo-patterned dump truck, before driving off with Alya and Nino.
Ladybug hesitantly transformed into her vehicle mode, a red motorcycle with black spots, and waited for Adrien to get on. “You won’t fall off, will you?” She asked nervously.
“I haven’t fallen off too many times ever since I graduated from training wheels.” Adrien replied with a smile as he got on and Ladybug drove off with him.
The first half of the ride was mostly uneventful, as neither Adrien or Ladybug knew what to say. Eventually, Adrien broke the silence.
“So, uh… are you scared of me or something like that?”
Ladybug almost stopped moving in shock. “What? No! It’s just… well… we’re not really used to being around humans.” She said. “Queen Bee kind of gave that away. She’s probably taking this the hardest.”
“I don’t gross you out, do I?” Adrien asked with a smirk.
“No! Of course not! I just need to learn more about your kind to get a better idea of how to protect you. I mean, humans are just so… squishy.” Ladybug mumbled that last part.
Adrien chuckled a little. “Well, not all of us are giant robots that can transform into vehicles.” He replied.
They soon arrived at the mansion where Adrien lived before Ladybug drove into the mansion’s garage. “Sorry that you have to stay here.” He said as he got off.
“It’s fine, I guess.” Ladybug transformed back to her robot form as nobody else was there, then looked around and saw several other cars in the garage. “Uh… why are there so many...”
Adrien interrupted her with a sigh. “Yeah, for some reason, my father really likes to collect antique cars. I guess it’s a hobby?” He shrugged. “Maybe if any of your Autobot friends need something to transform into, they can stop by here?”
Ladybug laughed a little. This place didn’t look so bad. It wasn’t like her quarters, but she couldn’t complain.
“Maybe I can bring some stuff down here to keep you entertained?” Adrien suggested. “I think there’s an old TV in the attic you can watch in the middle of the night if you don’t need to sleep. Do you need to sleep?”
“Eh…” Ladybug used her hand to make a “so-so” gesture. “Sometimes, if I get damaged, a stasis nap helps with the repair process. I would like a TV in here. We don’t have one in the--”
Before she could say anything else, Ladybug heard the footsteps of someone entering the garage and immediately transformed back into her motorcycle form.
“Adrien? Where have you been today?” A woman with short black hair and glasses wearing a black pantsuit and red turtleneck asked Adrien, who turned around, trying not to panic. “It’s very late, and your father has been worried about you.”
Her attention turned to the red spotted motorcycle next to him. “What is this?”
“Uh, well, I...” Adrien struggled to find an explanation. “I saw this bike and I just had to buy it. I did just get my motorcycle license after all.”
Nathalie took off her glasses and pinched the bridge of her nose. “You know your father will be upset with such a major purchase.” She said.
“And I paid for it with my own money from modeling.” Adrien replied. “If Father wants to use it for a few shots, I understand.”
Ladybug wanted to speak up, but didn’t want to blow her cover.
Nathalie simply sighed, not in the mood to deal with this at the moment. “We’ll talk about it in the morning. It’s getting late.” She said as she left the garage.
As soon as she was out of sight, Adrien let out a sigh of relief. “I’m so sorry about that! My father and Nathalie are very protective of me.” He said as Ladybug transformed back to her robot mode, just as relieved.
“Oh, dear Primus, that was too close!” Ladybug said as she sat down, contemplating what just happened.
Ladybug’s reaction only made Adrien feel bad given how nervous she looked. “Again, I’m really sorry. Maybe we can set something up so it’s easier to tell when someone is coming here?”
“I guess that sounds nice. How about some motion sensors?” Ladybug suggested.
Adrien was at a loss for words when Ladybug said that. “Uh… I’m not sure how we’d be able to install those. Let’s just talk about it tomorrow.” He said before yawning a little. “I’m heading to bed. Will you still be here in the morning?”
“Of course. I’ll take you back to our base and we can discuss ways to stay hidden with Optimus.” Ladybug said before she transformed back to motorcycle mode. “Goodnight, Adrien.”
Adrien smiled at his new friend. “Goodnight, Ladybug” He went to his bedroom, leaving Ladybug along in the garage.
“Ladybug, Optimus wants a status report.” Ladybug's thoughts were interrupted by a message from team medic and fellow Autobot, Pegasus.
Ladybug thought of how to explain her situation.
“Honestly? Things are going pretty well so far. Maybe this won’t be as bad as I thought it would be.”

Transformers Dark Of The Moon
I've finally seen the movie again after these years. Let me warn you, spoilers and I have a lot to say.
Tumblr media
Their is really a lot to say about this movie. But I'm glad I finally got my to do list of watching the first three Bayformers now.
Another thing I'll be honest about I was gonna play the Dark Of The Moon game on PS3 but it requires more MB's to clear out but I decided fuck it I don't care. Especially it's a short game but I'm not doing that shit. I just wanna watch this film especially remembering this is a long film.
But back to the movie. I'll be honest and I'm not critic and my opinion may be invalid because lots of people hate Bayformers. We have a new continuity with the Bumblebee movie which I think is the best decision this franchise has done.
To me this movie while I like the first film from 2007.
After watching this and I'm still having some feelings after being it. But I feel this is my favorite out of the Bayformers saga. This is basically where it should of ended and should of let the Bayformers end with dignity. Or at least until a new director came along like Travis Knight or others.
Especially like I remember a movie guy named Cure4 on DeviantArt but he's gone from that shit. I agree with him and I'm thinking this is the sequel the 2007 film should of had.
I'm pissed and I hate that Age Of Extinction was the follow up to this film. Despite how people feel about this film, my God Bay tried to redeem himself after Revenge Of The Fallen a film that is like some sort of weird parody there the video game tie in's I see as the best version especially the PS3/Xbox 360/PC versions and even the Wii/PS2 versions.
Another thing I wanna reveal when I saw this film for the first time in theaters I actually used this.
Tumblr media
I seriously wore that and it worked and it was awesome. It was a experience despite I felt nervous. I was young but what the hell it's gonna be 8 years since the movie was released. Especially the 3D was awesome when I saw it in theaters.
But back to the movie again I'm sorry. I'm not gonna make this a full review I don't wanna waste anyone's time.
When I think about it Sam is a lot better in this film. While I do feel some moments could be worked on. He should of apologized to Bee after he meets him I know Sam's angry. Especially this development of Sam wants to matter. This is much better then what we had in Revenge Of The Fallen.
Carly I honestly find more likable then Mikaela. Seriously I do especially that moment where she literally tells Megatron that he will basically be Sentinel's bitch if he doesn't do anything. She basically treats Sam with a bit more respect and well I like the relationship more then what Sam and Mikaela had.
Lennox and Epps were always great. Especially Epps during the scenes in Chicago. Simmons is seriously entertaining in this and Dutch is a blessing.
Let me just talk about Dylan Gould. This guy he's been on my mind. I made two joke posts him deleted the first one of he's been waiting for that betrayal towards Sam.
Patrick Dempsey honestly and his portrayal of Dylan is a performance that left an impression on me. Because I was actually surprised by his reveal of who he actually was. But seriously this man is a dick and in a way I like him. Despite seeing in the film him talking about making tough choices and him being on the winning side. Yet over the course of the film he starts to take it a bit personal.
While I kept thinking before seeing the film he was enjoying it maybe. But my view on it changed. I just think Patrick Dempsey kind of owns the role.
Yes we should talk about the robots and let me be honest. What I love about this film it's basically the Decepticons strike back. They are basically winning in this film. I love the Chicago invasion scene.
I do feel like the entire Bayformers series yes their should of been more Transformers screen time. Especially the Decepticons in this case. While I feel in Revenge Of The Fallen I can tell Starscream feels like he's a little snarky in some parts. While I know he's kissing up to Megatron to cover his ass. I would of liked some what....I don't know more snarky shit or something Starscream would say or do. Maybe even during his confrontation with Sam he mentioning after the Decepticons win that he would overthrow Megatron and become the winner.
I remember when I was young when I saw this for the first time. For Starscream I had hoped he would betray Megatron yet that would be so much for one film. Because that's Starscream from G1, Animated, and other continuities. At least one last hurrah before he dies.
Especially I remember when I was young I wanted Skids and Mudflap, along with Leo to come back....I was young and I enjoyed Revenge Of The Fallen a lot more okay. Wouldn't mind Leo but their seems to be a bit much but what the hell I wanted Dinobots in this film.(well it's said Skids and Mudflap are shown as cars but they were supposed to die....they did die by Sentinel in the movie comic)
I dig Soundwave in this film. Even Laserbeak these guys are douches but would of liked to seen more Soundwave. Especially I like this little dynamic between Dylan and Soundwave I know that's weird of me to say. Would of liked to seen more.
Shockwave in this film seriously I was hyped for him when I was young and playing the prequel game. I feel it's stupid he's not as important. He should of had more lines and more interactions. I even agree with a comment on YouTube he should of been in the Africa scene.
While he is badass it's stupid how he goes out but give him a better send off and a fight with Optimus Prime. I wanted to see more Shockwave and I think it would of been better if he was voiced by Mark Ryan. Frank Welker didn't do a bad job and he actually had two lines spoken in English.
At least his driller creature is cool. But seriously after all the hype and I want to just put some promotional stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whatever if this one is official or not. It's just in Shockwave's own words......logical. Or my own words fucking logical.
The reason I'm saying Mark Ryan because of his English accent and I want to be reminded of Corey Burton. Sorry for sounding weird.
Let me say I feel Sentinel Prime is probably the best antagonist actually we've had in a Transformers live action film especially in the Bayformers. Characters like Shatter and Dropkick are great. Even Lockdown was nice. But I liked Sentinel. I'll be honest I was actually surprised when I witnessed his betrayal when I was young. I thought the Decepticons were gonna force him to use the Pillars maybe even Shockwave but what we got was something else.
Also I really liked the scenes with Optimus and Sentinel. I do feel we should of gotten more and had them be longer. Especially I like Optimus in this. I do see their was this father and son or brother like relationship that Bay talked about. But would of liked to seen more.
The other Autobots are alright cool. I do feel the whole Que/Wheeljack thing was just seriously stupid. Especially now before Bumblebee a Wheeljack design that was more accurate. Tragic about the way he died.
Looking back at the film theirs not a lot of Cybertronian scenes but they leave an impact.
Also I really wanna talk about the ending with Optimus, Sentinel, and Megatron. We should of gotten more Megatron I agree.
But the scene where leading up to Optimus killing Sentinel seeing it in action after going through the movie. It is awkward in a way.
Yet I'll be honest Sentinel basically deserved it. In fact of the Decepticons, and Dylan fucking deserved what they got. Because after everything they did their to me was not a way shit would end peacefully or something. Including your hearing this from a Steven Universe fan a show that deals with pacifism and other shit.
I do feel and I've talked about this before but I might delete it now because I'm gonna mention it here. But I feel if the scene went like it was Megatron who kills Sentinel or this dark idea of Sentinel killing himself or even himself dying from wounds. Especially giving Megatron and Optimus more of a fight even with Optimus haven't one arm.
Or hell seriously Bay should of gone with the original that was kept in the novel that Megatron teamed up with Optimus to kill Sentinel and Megatron would stop what he's doing. Also hearing that it would of explored Megatron more. That ending would have his look in The Last Knight make sense that he went to Cybertron after Dark Of The Moon and over time he decided to go back leading the Decepticons. Instead they had to kill him off and the whole Galvatron thing. Even though Megatron got what was coming to him.
Gonna be honest the Starscream death while I like the idea of Sam having the courage to take on Starscream and even killing him. But I do feel Starscream should of died a more I guess epic death.
Especially I weirdly wanted Sam to be all Cade Yeager shooting Decepticons and some how killing them. I mean you Sam jumping on cars and even sliding under them.
Gonna say before seeing the movie I kept thinking Dylan in his fight with Sam should of died a more brutal death. Such as Sam telling him to shut up after the messager comment and beating him to death. But Dylan's death is perfect. Seriously he gets hit in the face with some sort of pole thing and dies by the pillar.
Listen I'm sorry for rambling a lot. This became more of some review or reaction. The action was seriously nice and the special effects, score was always excellent.
Gonna be honest while I wasn't emotional much throughout the movie. Did feel emotional over the, "The fight will be your own" scene and felt a little at the, "No Prisoners Only Trophies" scene....that should of had more weight. I'll be honest when I was young I was expecting Sam for some reason come out of hiding yelling no in slow motion, surprising everyone then the Decepticon drop ship gets hijacked.
Gonna say did enjoy Wheelie and Brains I like them. Glad they we're still around in later films.
I think I've talked too much. Basically I think this is the best Bayformers sequel, this is what we should got gotten as a sequel to the 2007 film. It's better then Revenge Of The Fallen, Age Of Extinction, and The Last Knight.
My only weird complaint that isn't towards the movie.....Dinobots could of been in this some how.....during the battle of Chicago. We should of gotten Dinobots vs the Driller. Grimlock voiced by Vin Diesel or whatever I've had that weird casting idea I think for years. Or even Devastator in this because it's a huge open battle with so many opportunities. While I understand Michael Bay didn't wanna go larger like he did with Revenge Of The Fallen. I'm just disappointed that the next film we got after this was Age Of Extinction.
Tags dealt with sorry that got wrong, their was a lot to talk about. Glad I could talk about this and again I finished my to do list of rewatching the original trilogy. Bring on the new cinematic universe in the Knightverse that started out with Travis Knight's Bumblebee I'm ready for more excellent films.

Hey um I know this may sound a little weird but if you didn't mind um I struggle with Suicidal thoughts and Self Harm would you be willing to write Comfort for it with Team Prime? or is it over the line??
((A/N I don’t mind writing things like this- I just want to let you know if you are starring down that hole and you fell like you could walk over that edge, please don’t do t. Get help- I’ve been there so many times, I’ve been a long time sufferer of depression and anxiety that I know what to look for in yourself when things just become to much for me to handle. You are strong, and I believe in you being able to get through the hard times.
These are all derived from real feelings and are all the wrong ways I’ve tried to cope with these feelings. Once I opened up to people they were almost always willing to help me through the times in which my ind is foggy and I can’t see past my own senses. Support is so important, get help if you need it, no one should think less of you for it.))
Optimus Prime
You were a sobbing mess as you stood there practically bare and raw in front of the illustrious leader of the Autobot cause, and arguably, the most important being in the entirety of the universe. He explained how he bore witness to your self destructive behavior over the last few months, and he was growing with an increasing concern about your well being and emotional situation. You broke down right then and there in front of the Prime, sobbing so hard you began to hiccup and practically choke on your own breath- you were not used to someone as important as Optimus giving you attention, let alone confront you about such sensitive and private things.
You were not ungrateful, just genuinely surprised that someone would even take notice.
“Take all the time you need, young one.”
His baritone voice was soothing as you rode out your small breakdown in front of him, as he not once removed his attention from you even though you were certain his time was better spent elsewhere. You sniffed a few times and wiped your now sticky and puffy face on the sleeve of your jacket.
Explaining things to him was hard, just because you have never had someone to confess your pain to so wholly. At first you were in doubt he would understand- he was an all powerful being, why would he care about the suffering of one measly little squishy like you? You were shocked when he took his hand and gently stroked at your dry and sticky cheek with his digit as he explained a similar situation he faced back home on Cybertron- emotional support was important no matter what species you were, and he promised from now on that if you needed a face to vent to that he was more than willing to help yu work out your problems with you. He even said if you couldn’t work out a solution to your problems right way, it’s always nice to just share and talk about what you are going through.
Your heart melted as he opened himself up to you, no one has ever offered it before, and it made you so grateful that someone in this universe actually cared about you. You hugged his hand tightly as you cried a little bit more as you felt yourself unwinding just a little from the knot you had bunched yourself into on the inside of your mind.
Ratchet
As someone in the medical professional field, especially in his line of work and expertise, mental health if probably one of the most important subjects right up there next to making sure one has a safe place to sleep and a good source of energon. He took notice of you sitting alone in the dark in the base all by yourself and decided to investigate to make sure everything was alright- he didn’t want to pry, but he was noticing dangerous signs in you that he has seen all to often in his fellow bots.
You were displaying self destructive behaviors in a way that gave little or no regard to your own life, and it scarred him a little. He even researched human psychology on the internet to see if your behavior was normal or not.It wasn’t.
He confronted you, and all you could do was stare at the floor and whine a little at what felt like an out of nowhere attack on your character. You aggressively explained how things in your life aren’t going so hot right now, and that nothing you do seems to be working and it was just making your whole situation worse. You were surprised when after you basically yelled and screamed at Ratchet, the infamously hot tempered doctor, he just placed a hand on his chin and looked deep in thought.
He wasn’t going to yell back? THrow something at you? Make you want to jump off of a bridge?
“What you are displaying are classic signs of human depression- from my research it is beneficial for me to tell you that you are very valid in what you are experiencing and feeling.”
He told you Cybertronians have a similar illness, and the best way to cure it is with therapy and drugs, but since you didn’t have access to the drugs you needed to fix the chemical imbalance in your brain- well, Ratchet took it upon himself to go out of his way to do little extra things to make you happy, and to also act as your faux counselor until you can find a real qualified one.
You cried when he said that, you never knew this old rusted bucket of bolts could be so kind, maybe you should bare your soul to people more often- most will understand, ad the ones who don’t are not worth your time.
Bumblebee
You sighed as you sat in the middle of the desert, just staring at nothing as you were dissociating, but that was better than the other option as those involved letting your anxiety take over you thoughts with intrusive ideas to hurt yourself so badly you can’t recover from your injuries. It made you sick to think that your brain would show you such things, whisper such things, and insist it was the best thing for you to do.
You didn’t notice Bumblebee sitting next to you, and you didn’t notice the sun begin to dip over the horizon.
He beeped at you with concern.
You did hear that though, and you checked your phone to notice you did in fact lose many hours just sitting here in the dusty dirt staring at the same barrel cactus and you couldn’t help but let a few tears fall from your eyes as you sniffed to try to keep your composure together, Bee doesn’t need to see you like this- no one needs to see you like this. This is your problem and no one else’s problem… Right?
He beeped at you sadly and placed a comforting hand behind your back for you to lean into, and honestly, you were happy he did so because it finally hit you how tired you really were.
“Hey Bee, do you ever get like, you know- thoughts of hurting yourself so frequently that you are afraid you might actually do it?”
He beeped at you with concern as he nodded his head yes- he also did his best to give simple beeps in mores code for you to translate explaining that growing up seeing as much war as he has, it was something he thought about often- his method of dealing with it was talking about it with the other Autobots, and allowing them to distract from those terribly intrusive thoughts until before you know it they are just gone and you never have to worry about them coming back.
It was sound advice, and you sniffed one last time as you smiled when he offered you a ride back to civilization- you two can talk about it more once you get cleaned up from all the dirt and dust that has accumulated over you from sittin gut here alone for s long.
Arcee
Your obsessive pacing and muttering was starting to get on her ast nerve as she was trying to focus on the work she had to do in front of her- and since you and her were the only ones in the base she figured she should let you know your behavior was grating on her last nerve. SHe called your name multiple times in multiple tones, but you were unresponsive as you chewed on your thumb and continued to mutter things she couldn’t quite make out.She knew something was really wrong then.
She tapped you on your shoulder and you let out an unholy scream that rattled her to the very core of her being, and once you were done screaming and panting you began to look around as if you were confused as to where you were and what was going on. You asked her what day it was, how long have you been here, were you even still alive or was this the after life in which you had to experience. Ok, now she gets it, that one question made it all very clear to her.
“You aren’t feeling well, are you?” She asked as you looked up to her with tears in the corners of your eyes.
Oh, everything was horrible, you couldn’t sleep at night because the urge to just thrust yourself upon a knife was just so strong you were afraid you were actually going to do it .You tried so many things to take your mind from your pain, but nothing worked- no video game, movie, or task can make you forget what is troubling you. She stopped you right there as you began to pace and mutter once more, and she was genuinely afraid you might lose control of yourself.
SHe transformed and basically forced you onto her seat- and without any words once you placed the helmet upon your head she took you out for one of the longest drives you have ever been on. It was so soothing to just watch the small town disappear in the horizon as you made your way basically to the next state over just seeing how beautiful the world was- this was the distraction you needed form all the noise.
Once you returned you cried a little as she stood in front of you, quite tired herself as long drives always made her sleepy. She insisted that if you need to talk to come to her right away, and that she was mostly down to drive you in any direction at any time if you ever needed it. Long drives have always helped clear her head, and she was pleased to find out that it can help you clear the fog of anxiety in your mind as well.
Bulkhead
You must have been wailing louder than you thought you were, as you dew the attention of the nearest by Autobot, which happened to be one of the biggest gentle giants you have ever come across. He didn’t ask you what was wrong and he just acted on instinct as he lifted you off the ground and pulled you up to his chest to let you finish crying about whatever was upsetting you. He noticed recently that you were a little more sensitive than usual, always ready to fight with the other kids in the group- it was concerning for him as he didn’t want all fo you to lose your friendship over something that can be fixed.Once you were coherent enough to speak, you told Bulkhead all of the things that plagued your mind. He listened and nodded, giving small responses as he let you vent and speak in hopes that maybe it would help you feel better.
It did. A little.
“I know the feeling, I get like that to sometimes- things seem hopeless and sometimes it feels easier to just think maybe if you weren’t here things could somehow magically get better- but they won’t.”
He explained how being thrusted into a war no one even wanted to fight, it always left a sour taste on his glossa to slay and kill other Cybertronians he would have once happily shared a glass of high grade with. Life’s hard- and he was no psychologist or whatever, but he knows how overwhelming things can get when all of those little things stack up and you can feel yourself become so agitated you are screaming at inanimate objects that can’t respond to your bad behavior.
He suggested talking to Ratchet about it, because he was a good doctor and could help for more things than just those of physical ailments, he also offered to be here if you needed someone to scream at-he can take it. He pounded his chest with his fist in a way that made you laugh while he explained his skin was so thick that nothing you can say will penetrate his armor! It was sweet of him to offer to let you scream at him anytime you are feeling frustratingly destructive, but maybe just having nice quiet talks in enough to make you feel better.
What a big and bulky sweetheart he turned out to be.

Metal Buffet Part 3
Every Autobot team with their human companions were all keeping an eye or optic open for something out of the ordinary.
Both Bulkhead and Miko were on their guard but as they can see, it was clearly the scrapheap all over again from months ago.
"Remember, Bulkhead, stay calm and whatever you do, don't scream like a girl." Miko had to snicker as she remembered how freaked out he was by the small vermin but it was still painful.
"Can we not talk about this?" Bulkhead had to stop a groan since it was an embarrassing moment and he did it right in front of Miko.
"Okay." Miko shrugged as they continued walking.
Bulkhead was trying to keep his cool and trying not to freak out but he could have sworn that a lot of eyes were on them, mainly on him.
"Don't you feel like you're... you know... surrounded by a couple of eyes?" Bulkhead asked as he turned around but was being careful not to step on Miko as she could feel that they were being watched by a couple of eyes.
"Not really." Miko laughed nervously but she was really hating this.
They then heard clinking sound and they were both on the verge of attack but they were able to keep themselves calm.
"Though I can be wrong." Miko squeaked as she and Bulkhead continued to search for clues.
On Arcee and Jack's side, Arcee has her guns out while Jack has a crowbar as they were keeping an out for anything that might jump them.
"Be careful where you aim that thing, Jack." Arcee said as she glanced down at her friend.
"Don't worry about my aim, Arcee. Just be sure not to shoot at me." Jack remarked as it made Arcee chuckle. So much like Cliffjumper and Optimus.
"You sound just like Cliffjumper." Arcee said as Jack sent her a small smile.
"Well I wouldn't get shot by my partner." Jack replied back as they were able to relax a little but still has their guards up.
"I'll try not to shoot you but no promises." Arcee said as they continued but they could hear clinking sound that echoed around them and it made them tense up more.
"I don't like the sound of that." Arcee didn't want to admit it but she was getting nervous.
"Let's keep moving." Jack eased her as they continued.
"Right." Arcee agreed as she and Jack kept on moving further.
Meanwhile Bee and Raf were keeping an eye open but Bumblebee can't stop beeping while expressing his precautions and nervousness about the situation. Last time something like this happened, Bumblebee almost became scrap food.
"Yeah considering what happened last time we better keep an eye out. I don't want these things to hurt you like last time." Raf said as he remembered how much trouble those things made and how much damage was inflicted on the base.
Bumblebee beeps and whirred in agreement before they suddenly heard a clinking sound and it was not such a good sound.
"What was that?" Raf asked nervously as Bumblebee was nervous but he beeped that it was probably nothing.
"Let's move before we get in trouble." Raf laughed nervously as Bumblebee nodded before they continued walking but were more both on their guards.
Meanwhile Optimus, Agent Fowler and Ratchet were still walking to try and find anything to give them a clue to where the little things were.
"There's nothing here." Agent Fowler said as he was holding a metal pole for a weapon.
"Then we must keep looking." Optimus said behind his battle mask but he wondered if Emily was okay. Cliffjumper and Smokescreen were both with her but he couldn't help but worry for her safety.
They then hear a clinking noise and it makes them all tense up.
"What was that?" Ratchet asked nervously as they looked around but they didn't find anything.
"Nothing here." Agent Fowler shrugged.
When they thought they were alone, they're suddenly surrounded by MECH soldiers as they pointed their guns at them, especially Optimus and Ratchet who readied their weapons.
"Optimus Prime, it has been a while. Fancy meeting you here." Silas looked up to the red and blue Autobot leader as he gritted his dentals behind his mask.
"Too bad we don't share the same opinion." Ratchet retorted as he gave Silas a glare.
"Surrender now, Silas, and perhaps we might go easy on you." Agent Fowler demanded him but Silas just sent him a sinister smile.
"I don't think you're in any position to make demands, Agent Fowler." Silas said as this made the two Autobots and Agent Fowler tense up.
Meanwhile Emily, Cliffjumper and Smokescreen were checking everywhere to see if they found anything unusual but so far nothing.
"Look at all this damage. It's incredible." Smokescreen said as he spotted a chewed up barrel with holes in it.
"I'm not sure I wanna meet the person or thing who did this." Cliffjumper said as he picked up a car that looked chewed up before he put it back down.
"Whatever it was, I'm sure we can handle it." She told them as she was curious and nervous but she kept her cool since she was surprised just how much damage can something do to the whole place.
They then stopped when they heard a clinking noise as it was coming from everywhere around them and it made Emily curious.
"What's that sound?" Emily asked curiously as she and the two mech looked around to pinpoint the source.
The clinking sound continued as they were confused on where it was coming from.
"It's coming from here." Smokescreen pointed to their left with a bunch of crates with guns in it but the clinking sound continued.
"No here." Cliffjumper said as he pushed two trucks away but it wasn't there.
Emily stayed quiet as she moved her eyes around while listening closely and was able to pinpoint where the noise was coming from as it was by some metal bars that looked like it was unharmed minus a few small holes against it.
"I think it's just in front of us. Let me check." Emily said as she went to the metal bars.
Emily went to check what was making the strange clinking noise and when she saw what it was, she was kind of surprised and she almost squealed at how it looked. She saw a tiny little white robot with little legs and cute blue eyes who looked up at Emily with curiosity in their optics.
"What the?" Emily muttered curiously as the little robot continued to stare at her curiously.
She tilted her head to the side and the little thing did the same and she couldn't help but admit that it was a cute sight. She gets down on one knee for a closer look as it watches her curiously.
"Hey, little guy. Where did you come from?" She asked the little robot softly as it approached her slowly but cautiously.
"I've never seen anything like you before. You're kind of cute." Emily said as she lowered her right arm as the light robot started walking towards her shoulder.
"Wow you're fast. And you have cute eyes too." Emily commented as she saw how fast it went up her arm to rest on her shoulder.
They look at each other in the optics as if they could understand each other before Smokescreen called her since she has been quiet for a few minutes.
"Hey, Emily? Did you find anything?" Smokescreen asked her as he was confused with Cliffjumper since they heard her talking to someone but they weren't able to hear what it was she was saying.
"You might say that." She told them as she rubbed the little thing under its chin as it made a purring motion with it's small engine.
She then turns around and when Smokescreen and Cliffjumper see the little creature on Emily's shoulder they both start getting scared since they knew what it was. If Emily found one of those little things, that means the others are somewhere in the place as well.
"Uh oh." Cliffjumper said as he started to feel like screaming.
"We're so in the scrapheap." Smokescreen felt like screaming as well as they continued to watch Emily scratch the thing under its chin.
"Check this little guy out. He's so cute." Emily said as she smiled at the little creature as she stopped rubbing its chin as it looked at her.
The little creature then looks at the two Autobots with curious optics and blinks at them but Emily didn't expect what happened next and the two mechs both start running while screaming.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Both Smokescreen and Cliffjumper screamed so loud that it caused Emily to jump as the little creature made a surprise sound before hiding behind her neck from fright.
The echoes of their screams were heard around the place as the others all stopped what they were doing and asked themselves what was that and from the sound of it. It sounded like trouble.
"What's that?" Arcee asked as she and Jack quickly went to follow where the screams were coming from.
On Bee and Raf's side, they both jump when they hear the screams and look at each other. That didn't sound good.
"Did you hear that?" Raf asked curiously Bumblebee beeps before they quickly ran to where the scream came from.
Meanwhile on Miko and Bulkhead's side, the two froze in their spots as they heard the screams and it wasn't Bulkhead this time.
"Sounded like someone screamed." Miko looked up to Bulkhead who shrugged.
"Yeah but it wasn't me." Bulkhead said as they both started to go where it came from.
All the separated groups went to where they heard the scream as they were wondering who made that. It can't possibly be Optimus, Ratchet and Agent Fowler so it could be the last team.
Meanwhile the group of MECH that held Optimus, Agent Fowler and Ratchet at gunpoint when they all heard the scream and became confused at who it was but Silas just smiled knowingly as he looked at Optimus Prime.
"Well what do you know? I see you've brought your troops with you, Optimus Prime." Optimus glared at him since Silas and MECH were Decepticons in human skin but way worse.
"An Autobot is never alone, Silas." Optimus growled at him.
"Looks like the tables have turned, Si." Agent Fowler told him but Silas just rolled his eyes.
"It takes more than that to get the best of MECH." Silas said as they all went in the same direction where the scream originated from.
They noticed it was coming from an empty room which was huge and both Smokescreen and Cliffjumper came running in like crazy while screaming. They both stop when they see Optimus and the others but Optimus became alarmed when he saw that Emily wasn't with them.
"You guys, we better not stay here. We're in big trouble." Cliffjumper said in panic but noticed that MECH started aiming at them all. Both Smokescreen and Cliffjumper got their weapons out.
"Right you are, Autobot. Now don't move." Silas smiled before another voice was heard.
"Funny." Arcee said as she along with Jack, Miko, Raf, Bumblebee and Bulkhead come in to save the others as they have their weapons at the ready.
"I was about to tell you the same thing." Arcee glared at Silas and MECH as she and the others stood with their teammates.
"Put your guns down and nobody gets hurt." Bulkhead said as he had his mace ready.
"Yeah." Miko glared at them heatedly.
"Don't you dare touch our friends" Raf stood in front of Bumblebee protectively.
"Now, now, kids, no need to play rough. We wouldn't want you to get hurt now, would we?" Silas was a little surprised since he never knew a kid could be so protective over something.
"Back off, Silas. You will not touch a hair out of these kids." Agent Fowler glared at him as Silas glared back.
"Collateral damage is inevitable, Agent Fowler. A man like you understands the demands of war." Silas glared back as Bulkhead was really getting angry and close to pounding Silas to the ground.
"Back off, fleshy. Don't you dare touch them." Bulkhead growled as he took a step forward.
"Optimus, we must get out of here. There's something here, something dangerous..." Smokescreen told him as Optimus glanced at him and wondered what it was that got both Smokescreen and Cliffjumper so panicked.
"Hey, guys!" Emily called out once she saw that the others were all back before she panted lightly from the running she did when she chased after both Smokescreen and Cliffjumper.
"Emily, this is not the time for... AHHHHH!!!!!" Ratchet turned to her to scold her sternly but let out a scream.
Ratchet saw Emily with the creature on her shoulder as it looked at them curiously. Everyone screams except Optimus while pointing their guns at her as she puts her hands up as she was surprised by their reaction.
"Calm down, guys. I just wanted to show you what I've found." Emily said as the little creature crawled into her hands as she walked to the others but stopped a few feet from them.
"Emily,... drop it now.... and step back. That thing's dangerous. It's a Scraplet." Ratchet told her slowly as he was eyeing the little robot in her hands but was confused by the coloring and the optics were blue but it didn't make a move to attack them.
The word made both Agent Fowler and Emily confused as they looked at them as well as MECH since they had never heard of it before.
"What's a Scraplet?" They both asked and got instant answers.
"It's tiny." Smokescreen stated.
"Dangerous." Cliffjumper added.
"Vermin. I mean you saw the damage out there didn't you?" Bulkhead finished as Emily was confused. One Scraplet did all the damage they saw?
"Hold on a minute. You mean to tell me that this tiny thing did all this? I mean come on this thing couldn't even hurt a fly." Agent Fowler said as he couldn't help but see the little white robot cute.
"How can you be scared of a tiny thing like this guy? He's so cute." Emily said as the little white scraplet just stared at the Autobots curiously.
"He's cute now but you won't find him cute when he starts eating your friends." Silas said as he glared at the little white scraplet in Emily's hands as she became confused.
"Wait, what do you mean with that?" She raised an eyebrow as she noticed that the scraplet in her hands fell asleep but it started to wake up.
The white Scraplet then opens eyes before it sees a tiny bolt in the floor. He became excited as he jumped down from her hands and went to it to eat it.
"Whoa, wait!" Emily tried to stop him but stopped when she saw how he ate the bolt as she blinked in surprise. Now it made sense that her Autobot friends were freaking out about the little guy.
"Oh, I see now. But I mean, come on, it's just one, it's not like there are others. Right? Right?" She laughed nervously while the white Scraplet went to her again and jumped into her hands as it was starting to like Emily.
They all froze, mainly the Autobots when they heard a lot of drilling metals of the Scraplets sharp dentas coming towards them at full speed as it was an all-you-can-eat-buffet for them.
"Oh no. Here they come!" Bulkhead exclaimed as he pointed to the horde of Scraplets all came to their view as the Scraplets started attacking the Autobots and eating away at their metal.
They all try to fight off the Scraplets who were all starting to eat them from up and down. Emily watches in horror how her friends are being attacked without being able to get rid of them. She let go of the white Scraplet who got attached to her as it watched her in confusion from its place on the ground. She then summons her Sword of Destruction as it materializes in her hands to destroy as many as she can but there's just too many of the Scraplets.
"Autobots, retreat! Retreat now!" Optimus ordered them as they all started to run to get away from the infestation.
"Everybody, run now!" Silas yelled as he took out one of his bombs and activated it.
Silas then throws a smoke bomb to create a diversion to escape with the rest and the Scraplets were all confused and disappointed to see that their meal had disappeared as the Bots and the humans have all successfully escaped the horde for now.
The Scraplets were able to enjoy some metal spoils as their white companion wanted to join them but they didn't let him as they didn't let him join them and didn't accept him back in the colony, making the white one sad and upset.
Meanwhile the Autobots along with their human charges, MECH and Silas were able to escape but the Autobots were all full of bite marks and Emily had to wince as she saw how the scraplets put damage to her friends and she couldn't help but feel guilty.
"Whoa. I did not see that coming." Emily said as she sat down by Optimus pede as they all caught their breath.
"Now you see. These things are dangerous." Jack said as he couldn't help but think about why the little white scraplet was white with blue optics but was even more confused why it didn't attack the bots like the others.
"Yeah. You guys okay?" She looked up to the Autobots in concern as she saw the damages that were inflicted on them by the Scraplets.
"Well we can still walk. Barely." Arcee winced slightly but noticed the damage on her comrades.
"We got lucky to get out of this one." Bulkhead said but he knew it wasn't over yet.
"They'll be back for more. They won't stop until they eat us and everything around here." Cliffjumper growled as he was really mad at the scraplets that were gonna look for them to finish their meal.
"I can't believe these tiny bugs like bots could do such damage." Agent Fowler stated in shock as he was taken back at how much damage those little beings can cause.
"Me neither. Last time I met one, it ate Bumblebee's leg." Raf said as he looked at Bumblebee who had bite marks all over his armor as he beeps from the slight sting of pain.
"The Scraplets are a dangerous vermin from Cybertron. They love eating anything that's made of metal. Including living metal." Ratchet explained to them as Emily had to stop herself from shuddering at the thought.
"So they all came from that box thing we found in the Arctic?" Smokescreen stated as Optimus nodded to confirm it. They should have been more careful and now they're in trouble since the Scraplets are on the hunt for them.
"I'm afraid so." Optimus winced slightly at the bite marks on his arm as Emily looked up to him worriedly.
"And I believe we know who's to blame for that." Agent Fowler said as they all looked to MECH as Silas knew he and his team were to blame.
"Yes indeed. We might've opened the box. But this wouldn't have happened if you had better security, Agent Fowler." Silas said as this made Agent Fowler mad as he got up.
"I'll show you better security." Agent Fowler was about to inflict some injuries on the MECH leader but Optimus stopped him before he did.
"Agent Fowler. This might not be the best moment to fight against our enemy. Perhaps a temporary truce might provide us with a solution." This made everyone look at him in shock. He can't be serious can he?
"Whoa, Optimus, you're not being serious are you?" Jack asked as he saw the look on Optimus and it was the same look Emily had when she made up her mind to come along on a mission.
"Have you forgotten what they did last time?" Miko reminded him as Emily listened and was confused about what she meant by it.
"While MECH has been our enemy on many occasions. Right now, we must stand together if we are to survive." Optimus told them as they saw his point.
"Glad to see we can agree on something." Silas was a little surprised by what Optimus said.
"Optimus, you know that if we trust Silas, he will certainly betray us." Arcee tried to make him change his mind but there was nothing they could do.
"Yeah, that proves to us that this guy won't strike us in the back." Miko sent Silas a glare who was a little impressed by how a girl hates someone deeply.
"Only the fact that we must get out of here before these things lock us up for good. We should get going and find a way to restore the energy." Silas said as he knew that they had to do something.
"With all our leaks, there's no way we can move." Arcee said as she had her arms cross.
"You'll have to do it on your own." Ratchet said since he didn't want to deal with the Scraplets anytime soon again.
"Then let's split up. Raf and I will stay here in case the Scraplets come back." Jack said as Raf went to Emily.
"Take my laptop. It might come in handy." He gave Emily his laptop which was in his bag.
"Thanks, Raf." She ruffled his hair as he laughed before she put the back on.
"Well I'm staying. No way I'm leaving Bulkhead. Besides, I don't trust these thugs." Miko told them stubbornly and the Autobots and their friends had to agree with her.
"I don't trust them either. But we must work together if we want to get out of this." Agent Fowler said as Ratchet gave both Emily and Jack a comm-link earpiece.
"That is if you're able to keep up." Silas taunted him as Agent Fowler rolled his eyes at him.
"You'd better not push me." Agent Fowler glared at him as he got in his face with a glare but Emily pushed them apart and gave them a stern look but a small glare was sent to Silas.
"Calm down, Agent Fowler. Look if you want us to trust you, you better do as we say. As of now, I want you to let go of your weapons." Emily said as she glared at a MECH soldier who aimed a gun her way.
"Our weapons might provide us the firepower we need to repel these things." Silas said as he was a little annoyed by how a 18 year old stood up against him.
"I'm afraid not. The Scraplets will eat anything made of metal." Ratchet said as Emily looked up to him. If the Scraplets eat anything that was metal, there must be some kind of weakness to them.
"So how do we stop them?" She asked as Jack came up and she saw that he knew something.
"With cold. Scraplets are vulnerable to cold. If we can use something to freeze them up, we might have a chance against them." Jack said and Emily nodded. They found the box in the Arctic and it seemed to have kept the Scraplets asleep before they were brought to the base.
"Yes, that might work. But I don't think this place has any cryogenic weapon whatsoever that we can use." Agent Fowler thought about what he said before looking up.
"Maybe there is. This facility has a lab full of cryogenic weapons. Maybe we can use them to turn them into metal popsicles. That is if Silas here is willing to let go of his weapons." He glanced at Silas who glared at him.
"Very well then. Gentlemen, drop your weapons." Silas ordered his men as all the MECH soldiers dropped their weapons and Fowler had to stop himself from smirking.
"Happy now?" Silas crossed his arms as Fowler nodded.
"Let's just go." Agent Fowler rolled his eyes.
"I'm staying here." Miko said but Bulkhead shook his head.
"Miko, you must go." Bulkhead said as she looked up to him.
"Bulkhead, you know I won't leave you like this." Miko told him as Bulkhead had to smile down to reassure her.
"I know but you have to. Everything will be alright. Go." Bulkhead said as Miko was reluctant but Jack came up to her.
"Don't worry, Miko. Raf and I will make sure nothing bad happens to them." Jack reassured her as she sighed and nodded.
"You better." She said as Jack nodded.
"Be careful, guys. Who knows what these things can do." Emily said as she looked at them worriedly.
"It's okay. Since we're not made of metal. They won't harm us." Raf said as she smiled at him.
"Call us if you need help." She told Jack as she pointed to the earpiece that Ratchet gave them both as he nodded.
"We have to go. Come on." Agent Fowler said as they nodded.
"See you later, guys." She gave them a last look before she and Miko left with MECH and Fowler as the Autobots, Jack and Raf watched them leave.
Meanwhile the Decepticons were on their way to the base to try to retrieve the box but along the way, Starscream was complaining along the way and it was getting annoying.
"Ah, this is too long. Are we there yet, Knock Out?" Starscream asked for the 15th time.
Both Knock Out and Breakdown were driving down the highway to the base and with a weapon inside safely in Knock Out's back seat.
"Not yet, Starscream. Perhaps we might've been there already if you stopped complaining." Knock Out would have rolled his optics if he was still in his robot form.
"Maybe if you had chosen a jet instead of an automobile as a vehicle mode, we might be there already." Starscream pointed out the fact as Knock Out groaned as he used his side mirror to look at Breakdown.
"What did I do to deserve this?" Knock Out asked him as Breakdown would have shrugged in his robot form.
"Don't ask me." Breakdown said.
"Yeah. Because we all know you're not the brightest mind around here." Airachnid taunted him in her helicopter form as this caused Breakdown to growl at her.
"Enough, this is not the time for you childish bickering. Lord Megatron is counting on us to carry this mission. So we all need to focus if we are to complete this mission." Dreadwing told them sternly as he reminded them of what they needed to do.
"In my opinion I think that we would have been there quickly if it wasn't because of the slowpokes." Starscream said but stopped since he sensed that Dreadwing was giving him a death glare.
"Starscream. I don't need to remind you that Lord Megatron put me in charge of this mission. And as leader of this mission, I will not tolerate your complaints. Am I understood?" He told him sternly and Starscream would have crossed his arms but he agreed.
"Yes, Dreadwing." Starscream said.
The Decepticons continued their route toward the base to get the box.
Meanwhile Emily along with Miko, Agent Fowler and MECH were all trying to reach the lab with the cryogenic weapons while keeping an eye out for the Scraplets.
"To think that the Bots were scared of these tiny things." Emily started a conversation as she remembered how freaked out the Autobots were when they saw the Scraplets, especially the white one that she grew fond of quickly.
"I guess it's normal when you're being attacked by a whole bunch of metal eating vermin." Miko snickered as Emily shook her head at her in amusement.
"Shh, quiet. We don't want them finding out where we are." Agent Fowler shushed the two as Miko rolled her eyes at him.
"There's no need to worry, Agent Fowler. They only eat things made out of metal. So they won't hurt us." Miko said as she reminded him that the Scraplets went for their Autobot friends, not them.
"I hope your troops are more disciplined than this young girl." Silas pointed to Miko who stuck her tongue out at him as Emily nudged her to stop.
"Aren't you a fine one to talk to, Silas? You and your little group could use some discipline." Agent Fowler said as he sent a small glare his way.
"Trust me, Agent Fowler, I think I know far more about discipline than you do." Silas said as Agent Fowler rolled his eyes at him.
"I find that hard to believe coming from someone like you." Agent Fowler said as they turned another corner.
"You speak as we are different but deep down we might be just the same." Silas said as Agent Fowler had to shake his head at him
"You and I are not the same. I'm loyal to my country." Agent Fowler told him. He was not like Silas in any way.
"Indeed you are but the real question here is if your so-called country is loyal to you." Silas said and Emily spoke up since she was getting fed up with them arguing.
"As if a guy like you knows anything about loyalty." Emily said as Silas almost had to take a step back when he sensed the threat in her words.
"You should know, young lady, that sometimes when you're loyal to a cause. Sooner or later this loyalty of yours will blind you to the real truth." Emily sent him a small glare.
"And what truth is that?" She asked him but she really didn't want to know.
"Is that the cause will always betray you." She had to stop herself from scoffing out a laugh.
"Based on what I was told. You and your tech gang are always trying to steal every new technology to try and create weapons. The only cause you serve right now is your own." Emily sent him a look as Silas was a little speechless. How did she know that?!
"To teach his own. After all, this is a free country." Silas said before Miko groaned since she felt like they had been walking forever.
"Are we there yet?" Miko groaned as Emily and Agent Fowler had to chuckle at her antics.
"The lab is just there." They turned another corner and came upon a door but it needed a code to open.
He put his ID code on the keypad but it didn't work as he looked at them.
"Didn't work. Without power, we can't get inside and get what we need." Agent Fowler said before Emily stepped up to the door.
"Allow me." She said as he looked at her in confusion but nodded and took a step back.
Emily points her arms at the doors before they morph into her plasma cannons much to the shock and confusion of MECH and Agent Fowler as she shoots a plasma shot to get the door open and is able to bust it open.
"Impressive. I've never seen such an advanced weapon." Silas got over his shock as he took notes of how powerful her cannons were and was thinking of ways to use them but stopped when Emily, Miko and Agent Fowler were giving him a suspicious look.
"And you never will." She huffed at him and turned away as they entered the lab.
"This is it. All the gear we need to freeze these things." Agent Fowler said as they went to where the weapons were, but Miko stopped when she sensed something above them and happened to look up and her eyes widened at the sight.
"Uh, guys?" She called as they looked up and were shocked to see the Scraplets above them.
The Scraplets look around before they look at the cryogenic weapons and see that they were made of metal before opening their mouths as they rush in to eat it all.
"Incoming!" Agent Fowler shouted before Emily shot down a couple of Scraplets that almost got to the weapons before looking at them.
"I'll hold them off! You guys get the gear!" Emily told them as she turned back to where the Scraplets were and aimed her cannons at them.
Emily starts shooting while the others try to grab the cryogenic weapons as Miko looks at Fowler.
"Are we sure these things will work?" She asked as he and the others grabbed the cryogenic guns.
"Unless you got a better idea. We'll have to try." Agent Fowler said as Silas watched Emily fight off the Scraplets.
"For once I agree." Silas said as he grabbed some ammo for the guns.
"Hurry, there's too many of them!" Emily yelled at them as she continued to shoot down some Scraplets.
The Scraplets were able to get through Emily's shooting as they started eating the cryogenic container that contains the ice to freeze and Fowler knew that it would explode.
"Let's get out of here!" Agent Fowler exclaimed once he was sure they got all the weapons.
Everyone starts running but Silas accidentally trips on a bottle as Emily goes back to save him as she shoots down some Scraplets that were heading toward him.
"Look out!" She yelled as she grabbed him and helped him up as they followed the others.
When the Scraplets made a hole in the containers, it blew up creating a cryogenic explosion that froze them and Miko grins.
"Sweet, it worked!" Miko said as they continued to run to get with the others.
"Yes, unfortunately this was nothing but a small group. There's still more out there." Agent Fowler said since he noticed that the Scraplets that attacked them were like scouts.
"Let's go before they find the others. And no need to thank me, Silas." She told the MECH leader when she noticed that he was gonna say something.
"I wasn't planning to." Silas said as they continued to run.
Meanwhile Jack and Raf were both keeping an eye out for the Scraplets to protect the Autobots as Jack was worried that something happened to the others since they heard a sound of an explosion and shooting from somewhere.
"I hope the others are fine. I'm starting to get worried." Jack said as he looked up to the entrance and hoped that the others would hurry and get back.
"Me too." Raf agreed.
"We can't stay here for long. Sooner or later the Scraplets will find us." Ratchet said as he leaned against the wall to stand up.
"We could try to get out of here." Bulkhead suggested but Arcee gave him a deadpanned look.
"So that the Scraplets could eat us whole?" Arcee deadpanned as he laughed nervously while Cliffjumper shook his head.
"Sounds like a fair fight." Cliffjumper said as he knew that he didn't want to be Scraplet food.
"I've never thought this could happen." Smokescreen groans as his injuries hurt.
"We might not be able to repel them but we must not give up." Optimus told them but he was worried about what happened to Emily and the others since he heard the sounds of shooting and explosion.
They all tensed up when they heard a clinking sound that was coming towards them.
"Shh. Did you hear that?" Jack asked and Raf nodded as he went wide eyed.
"Yeah. I think it's them." Raf said nervously as he readied his makeshift weapon.
"I really hate this." Bulkhead groans as he wasn't looking forward to seeing the Scraplets as Bumblebee beeped in agreement.
"J-Jack?" Rad said as he pointed a finger to the direction of the sounds as Jack saw that the Scraplets were coming in hot.
"Look out!" Jack yelled as the Scraplets came in and started to attack the Autobots as they let out sounds of pain from the damage.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! GET THEM OFF!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Bulkhead screamed like a girl as he tried to get the Scraplets off him as the others were doing the same.
Jack and Raf help the Autobots get rid of the Scraplets but there were just too many as they just can't seem to get rid of them all and knew that they needed help and fast.
"It's no use! We need help!" Rad exclaimed as he tried to get rid of the Scraplets attacking Bumblebee before Jack turned on his commlink to call for help.
"Emily, Miko! Scraplets are attacking! We need help!" Jack shouted as he swatted some Scraplets from Bulkhead and Arcee.
On the other group's side, Emily heard Jack calling them and her heart was beating faster than before.
"Scraplets are here! We can't hold them off! We need help!" Emily gritted her teeth as she shouted to the others to go faster.
"Let's go!" She shouted as they all started to run faster to reach the others in time to help them.
Jack and Raf were trying to destroy as many Scraplets as they could but they're still too many. Suddenly the other group arrives and starts shooting cryogenic shots to freeze the Scraplets. They successfully freeze them all as they all panted as Emily quickly went to check the others.
"Serves them right." Agent Fowler pants lightly.
"Yes. Now that our truce has served his purpose." Silas smirked as the kids and Fowler were confused but had a bad feeling about that smirk.
The MECH soldiers then start shooting ice at the Autobots to weaken them further as they grunt or shout in pain as their core systems blinked to blue.
"What in the name of Sam' Hill?" Agent Fowler was surprised as the kids went to the check on their guardians as Emily glared at Silas with deep hate.
"You shouldn't be surprised, Agent Fowler. MECH is determined to get what it wants. I must say that I'm quite impressed from what I've seen here today. To think that some tiny beings such as these could cause a lot of damage. An army of those would be unstoppable. When I realized that the frozen temperature would weaken them, I developed a theory in which I suspected that the same thing could happen to the Autobots. And I was right." Silas explained as Agent Fowler glared at him but not as heated as Emily's glare.
"Silas, you traitor!" Agent Fowler exclaimed.
When Agent Fowler was about to attack Silas, he got knocked down and was held by two of MECH soldiers
"Let him go!" Miko yelled as she pointed her cryogenic gun at him.
"Lower your weapons. Now." Silas ordered as Raf hid behind Jack as Miko, Jack and Emily glared at Silas.
"What if we refuse?" Emily asked as she tried to keep a growl from escaping.
"Then I'm afraid you'll have to see your friends suffer a horrible death." Silas smirked as he knew that the kids and Fowler care for the Autobots.
Emily looked at them and saw that the Bots were weakened from the Scraplet attack and the cryogenic gun before she came to a decision as she glared at Silas as she dropped her weapon.
"Guys, drop your weapons. There's nothing we can do." Jack and Miko look at her as she nodded for them before they did so as well.
"Good, now I think it's time for you to leave." Silas smirked triumphantly as Arcee glared at him as she was still weak from the assault.
"Don't... touch them..." She glared at him heatedly but he dismissed her glare.
"Like I said before. Collateral damage is inevitable and I'm afraid MECH can't let any witness go." Silas told the femme robot as MECH pointed their weapons at them but Emily stood in front of her friends as Agent Fowler was being held hostage by MECH.
"Sorry to break it to you, Silas. But me and my friends are getting out of here." She told him calmly as Silas looked at her in confusion.
"And how exactly do you plan to do that?" He asked as she just grinned at him as she fished something out of her pocket.
"Easy with this." She said as she sent a look to Agent Fowler as if silently saying that they'll come back for him before throwing something against the ground as it exploded into smoke.
Once the smoke cleared, they saw that the kids were gone as the bots were glad to know that the kids will be safe, for now.
"How did she-?" Silas was shocked before he realized that Emily must've grabbed one of his smoke bombs when she saved him earlier.
"Smart little girl. Find them." Silas growled before ordering his men.
The MECH soldiers all nodded before they start looking for the kids to capture them before they can even escape as Silas turns to Fowler who glared at him as the Autobots prayed to Primus to protect their human friends.

Wasp X Bot Reader – Together Again
A/N – Thank you so much, I loved looking at this message for inspiration, t was so sweet. It’s a shame I just missed your birthday but here you go @vinnycoco, I hope I did Wasp justice.
Warnings – None.
Rating – T
Tumblr media
Wasp observed happily as you ran up to the Autobot Academy for the first day of training. In all your elation, he thought you were the one thing as perfect as him. Ever since the war with the Decepticons began, the two of you had planned to make it into the elite guard together and now you were taking the first steps towards that goal. Naturally, Wasp had planned even further ahead of that goal; when you both graduated into the guard, he was going to make you his Conjunx Endura.
While thinking of the future, Wasp lost sight of you. When he spotted you again he gritted his dentae together irritably; you were talking to that little yellow pest he’d bumped into before. He wasn’t jealous, he couldn’t be. Jealousy was beneath him, he was simply concerned because, like him, you were much too important to converse with such a lowly bot.
“(Y/N), step away from that; you don’t know where it’s been,” Wasp wrapped his arm around your waist.
“Very funny,” You laughed, waving the insult away. “Have you two met yet? Sweetspark, this is-”
“Filth is what it is. Come now, meet Ironhide, a real bot.”
“HEY!” Bumblebee yelled. “I’M NOT FILTH YOU-”
“Easy, little buddy,” A large green mech hugged him, “let the anger go.”
“I’M NOT YOUR BUDDY!”
After the unusual introduction, the day was filled with tests of strength, speed, intelligence, and more than a few punishments thanks to the yellow bot who’d been dubbed Bumblebee. It was a relief when the group was allowed to go to the shared barracks for a much-needed recharge.
“What a day,” You rubbed your aching pedes, claiming two berths next to each-other for you and Wasp.
“You’re telling me, it was great,” Bulkhead enthused, missing the tone of your vocaliser completely.
You couldn’t help grinning, “It would’ve been easier if there weren’t so many accidents. You and Bee really scrambled Sarge’s circuits.”
“Yeah, uh my bad.”
Bumblebee sniffed indignantly, “Why are you talking to us? Apparently, we’re just filth to you.”
“Filth? Oh yeah, don’t mind what Wasp was saying, he’s just joking with you,” You smiled amiably. “He’s always been like that, I’m sure once you get to know him-”
“GET TO KNOW HIM?! ARE YOU KIDDING?”
“What’s wrong? He’s really nice, I swear.”
“Ugh, what do you even see in a guy like that?”
Wasp entered the room from the wash racks, “Charm, wit, strength; all things you lack.”
“Come on babe, go easy on them, they don’t know you’re joking… you are joking right?” You asked hopefully.
“Joking? Yes, yes, of course.” He pulled you into a hug, glaring at Bumblebee and Bulkhead behind your back. “Stay away,” he mouthed.
“See, look at all of you getting along so well. This is gonna be so great. I’ll see you in a bit, I want to get some time in those wash racks myself. Later, guys.”
Wasp waited till you were gone before openly seething at the two bots in front of him, “You two better recharge with one optic open; things are going to be rough from here on in.”
Tumblr media
You aimed a shot over Wasp’s head, shutting down the turret there while Wasp made a leap for the flag ahead of him. The game was a pairs test to see which team could capture the flag in the quickest time; points were awarded for team-work and strategy. Sentinel blew the ending whistle; the two of you had won.
You cheered excitedly, running to Wasp who was wielding the flag proudly and planting a kiss on his cheek.
“Babe, please,” Wasp held out his servo.
“Sorry,” You laughed, “I’ll stop now.”
“Stop? No, I was asking for more.”
“You sure you want another kiss? Aren’t you afraid of looking weaker in front of the other bots?” You teased.
“C’mon, how about making ‘em jealous instead?”
“Later,” You whispered upon the arrival of Sentinel.
The two of you saluted to the senior officer.
“At ease,” Sentinel instructed. “Not only were the two of you the fastest pair on the course, but also the best team. You showed strategy, talent, and speed. You’ve worked hard, take the rest of the day off as a reward; you’ve earned it.”
The two of you walked away, hand in hand, eager for a night together.
“Hey (Y/N), I have an idea,” Wasp grinned.
“Pray tell.”
“How about a night under the stars where we can really appreciate each-others company; I’ve been saving some good energon for such an occasion.”
“You had me at stars.”
“Great, meet me at the observatory, I’ll bring the energon.”
You pecked his lips, “Don’t keep me waiting.”
That was the last time you saw Wasp. While you waited for him in the observatory, he was arrested for being a spy for the Deceptacons. When it happened, you could hardly believe it. You’d known Wasp for Vorns, he couldn’t be a spy. However, with no evidence of his innocence, you had no choice but to believe in the conviction, deciding that Wasp had probably been using you to gather intel. Spark-broken, you fell from the top of the class to the bottom and were soon sent onto the same space-bridge as Bumblebee and Bulkhead. That space bridge was where all the failures were sent. You soon met Prowl, a ninja-bot, Ratchet, an old medical officer, and Optimus Prime; how a prime had fallen so far was beyond you, especially one as serious as him.
Working on the barren station, you had all the time in the universe to forget Wasp and the pain he’d caused you, until one day on the strange planet Earth, when you found something that changed everything.
“YOU DID WHAT?” You screamed at Bumblebee who was hiding behind Optimus for protection.
Bumblebee quivered while Optimus tried desperately to calm the situation.
“(Y/N), Longarm tricked me. I swear it was an accident,” Bumblebee said.
“YOU’RE AN ACCIDENT!”
Optimus held his arms out, “(Y/N) please, Bumblebee didn’t-”
“STAY OUTTA THIS PRIME, I’M GONNA KILL HIM.”
Bumblebee ran, calling behind him, “And finish Wasp’s job for him?”
“YOU GLITCH-HEAD!” You huffed and glared angrily, trying to calm down as you did so. “Fine, I’m going out on patrol; if Wasp’s here, I’m going to find him.”
“(Y/N) wait,” Optimus said but you were already out the door in your alt-mode; an old car Sari called a DeLorean.
Tumblr media
Wasp was shocked to be sure. In his revenge addled brain, he’d never imagined you’d ever be near the glitch Bumblebee. He didn’t have time to comprehend the situation as he fled. Bumblebee had taken everything from him, his freedom, his career, and you too; you’d defended Bumblebee, were the two of you an item now? Wasp couldn’t concentrate on that, flee now, dwell later.
Meanwhile, you were in hot pursuit of Wasp. You’d barely got back when you found out what had happened between him and Bumblebee. Swapping paint-jobs was surely the plan of a desperate bot; desperation could be reasoned with.
Eventually, the others stopped the chase, presuming Wasp had been lost once more. You, on the other hand, had tracked him to a cave off the coast where he’d stopped.
“(Y/N),” Optimus radioed you, “Are you coming back to the base?”
“Soon Prime… I just… I need some time,” You lied.
Optimus sighed, “Alright, be careful out there.”
You shut off your communicator, transforming into your bot-mode to enter the cave.
“Wasp,” You called, “It’s me (Y/N). I don’t want to hurt you, I just want to talk.”
“Wasp no talk. Wasp know this is trap,” his voice echoed around the cave.
“It’s not a trap Wasp, Bumblebee told me everything. The two of you were set up, I know you’re innocent.”
There was no reply and you feared you’d lost him once more.
“Sweetspark, please, talk to me.”
“You no love Wasp anymore.”
“Maybe, maybe not. How can you love someone who won’t even talk to you? Come out, show me there’s still the bot I love in there somewhere.”
Once again, there was no answer; Wasp was too busy contemplating your words.
You got on your knees, placing your hands behind your head, “Make me your prisoner, incapacitate me, do whatever you want but please, talk to me.”
“You crazy as always,” Wasp laughed, coming out from behind a Stalagmite and approaching slowly.
“Thank you.”
“Wasp want to know, what you doing with Bumblebot?”
“We work together, as friends.”
“Tell more.”
You recalled your tales since Wasp had been arrested, including those of Earth. Wasp listened enraptured, catching up on everything he’d missed; everything you could have had together. During his imprisonment, he’d thought of little other than vengeance because thinking of you hurt too much. However, with you in front of him, he longed to piece his broken mind back together; so much had fractured since losing you.
As the night dragged on, you knew you’d have to head back soon. It would only be a matter of time before your team wondered where you’d gotten to and started searching for you. You couldn’t let them find Wasp in such a delicate state; you wouldn’t.
You held out a servo apprehensively, Wasp recoiled making you pull back with a sigh. “Wasp, sweetspark, my team will come looking for me soon… that means Bumblebee too. I don’t want them to find you yet until… until you’re better. I love you. Goodbye.”
At your attempt to get up, Wasp grabbed your arm, pulling you back, “(Y/N) no leave. (Y/N) stay with Wasp. Wasp love (Y/N) too.”
Your optics filled with unshed lubricant, “It’s… It’s for your own good. I’ll come back, I promise but you have to let me go now, okay?”
“Wasp and (Y/N) together again?”
“Do you want that?”
“Yes.”
“Then yeah, Wasp and (Y/N) together again.”
