I just got through watching #thedeepend by Freeform following the life of #tealswan I thought the documentary did a good job at depicting the behind-scenes lives of Swan and those closest to her. What I think was missing.. was a fair look at the people who follow Teal. The deep-rooted trauma that individuals are working through when they find themselves at Teal’s doorstep didn’t get accurate coverage. I feel the show perhaps used more shocking followers for air time, only exacerbating the stereotyping and stigma around the “type of person” that joins a cult. When most of us here know… that could really be anyone. Still, as my friend @andeyfellowes said (who appeared in the show) - any coverage on the subject still brings a spotlight to it which is important. Cuddling with my amazing friends at a climbing hall!💕 Cuddling is such an amazing beautiful experience that humans can experience. Our bodies are designed to enjoy touch and warmth of each other. Cuddle doesn't have to be sexual you can cuddle your friends your dog or even a tree! From the scientific point of view: touch increases oxytocin levels, which is a 'bonding' hormone—this chemical reaction can help to reduce blood pressure, which in turn reduces the risk of heart disease, also help to reduce stress and anxiety. Don't deprive your self the joy of sensation, if you are afraid of people crossing your boundaries find some one who you trust, or join some safe cuddling events around you.
