There are a lot of alliances/rivalries that occur during the Ridonculous Race, but a lot of the earlier eliminated teams didn't get a chance to have any. I completely understand that the longer lasting teams need to build up these relationships during this timeframe, but there was still a lot of potential.

For me, I think a hilarious yet also interesting rivalry could have been between the Vegans and the Fashion Bloggers.

Both sides think the other team is odd, maybe even a bit crazy. The Vegans see the Fashion Bloggers as ignorantly wasteful and completely uncaring about the environment, while the Fashion Bloggers see the Vegans as annoying weirdos that happen to have an AWFUL fashion sense in their eyes.

More specifically, I could see Miles and Jen being enemies to lovers frenemies. Since recently I've had Wicked on the brain, think "What Is This Feeling?" Miles is irritated by Jen for her personality, while Jen is irritated by Miles for the way she presents herself. They would not be able to stand each other being around at first, but maybe at the end of their story they could learn to somewhat appreciate each other?

Anywho, that's just a silly little idea I thought up! These are my two favorite teams, so I really wish they interacted even once.

How do the twins feel about the goths?

i want to actually color this but it's been too long since i've posted anything so we're just gonna roll with what i've got tonight ;3;

the twins are pretty neutral with the goths, obviously the goths kinda freak them out and sneak up on them a lot without meaning to, but neither mickey nor jay have any strong opinions about them overall

however in context to Symbiosis, i think the goths would feel kinda bad about unintentionally scaring mickey off in the catacombs and him getting separated / lost as a result, so to make up for it they'd give him a goth makeup tutorial so he can embrace his inner darkness

on the other hand, jay isn't so sure about that

left a little sneak peak of a scene in the next chapter of the fic for fun while i was at it (im still working on it i promise) :D

not a hot take, just a fun fact, bowie technically isn’t the first gay character in the total drama universe, in the Ridonculous race Tom and Jacques were meant to be a couple AND Tom was based on Tom McGillis who is gay! also, christine thompson confirmed tom (the character) is gay! :) though bowie is the first openly gay character like he proclaims in his introduction
