@kassiekolchek22 @mistmoose @delurkr @ivycross @tatjana-fantasy @blubary @oblivious-troll @lonnitamongus @ultrabananapudding I am again back to remind people that supermassive has so much potential in its mid-century(ish) era that covers the inpatient/until dawn's 1952 era, the man of Medan prologue and hoa's 1940s subplot, it also overlaps with James and anne(and anyone else their age) being in their late teens/early adulthood, I know people love my AUs and I'm hoping one day people will love this era just as much(I'll do it myself if I have to)

At any rate all that aside for this I've aimed a little earlier with a slightly younger Agnes Bradshaw with a look that I can only hope comes off cute and unsettling

Yeah it's actually an unspoken confirmation that randolph is an unreliable narrator and that in reality he likely murdered Agnes in cold blood because he blamed her for everything that happened and then he lied to protect Mary's reputation

I also find it strange how suspiciously absent the ancient one was from his account of events, I mean the 03 cast is down there for 12 hours Max and are nearly tripping over the guy but the expedition was down there for the better part of a year and there was zero encounters? That's a little shady tbh, I wonder how much more would make sense if the ancient one was re-added to Randolph's account, like maybe old boy was out there sowing seeds and causing drama while the humans are getting increasingly paranoid with each other

I'm going to be real I wish the 40s cast was as popular as the main cast or if hoa generally had that cross era love that the other games do(I'll do my part in appreciating them that's for sure)

So is anyone going to talk about the fact that Lady Bradshaw still had her front teeth, of which she shouldn't with a parasite knocking them out, and if Mary really did turn, she would probably have been running around with the Ancient One? I mean, don't get me wrong, I can see Randolph mercy killing Mary buttttt I have questions as things are not adding up....

I've been working on this for a while, I really want to hype hoa's 1940s cast, I want them to be loved like the 2003 cast and I'll do it myself if I have to 😁

I'd like to imagine that when the expedition was setting up in the throne room everyone was buzzing with excitement. All talk and work and high energy. Randolph sees Bradshaw ascending the stairs from the corner of his eye and as he turns to her she sits on the throne, like she owns it and everything before her(including them).

For the most fleeting moment he can't shake the feeling that he's made a huge mistake... Promptly Mary finds the explosives and the thought is forgotten

@kassiekolchek22 @delurkr @abigails-batpack @badideaart it's been on my to do list for months to do something about the Clarke's awful wedding photo, namely I wanted to make them look at least a little more like the 17(anne) and 19(james) that they actually were when they married

I noticed that it was coming up when I was finishing out little hope's platinum and I feel I've gotten pretty good with this era, enough to take creative liberties at any rate, although I completely forgot James didn't have glasses in the original, I think they look good(how did I do 😊)

Am I the only one who thinks about the fact that lady Bradshaw just had several thousand feet of chain

I was wondering the same thing, since second playthrough.

It's just don't add up. Especially if you painstakingly go through each and every piece of information.

However, it may be something completely different to the plot itself. What if Dark Pictures should have been a supernatural series, but Bandai for whatever reason decided that it is maybe not selling or some shit?

Like, after playing most of the games(excluding DIM - it's really boring and I can't bring myself to play further) there a lot of supernatural stuff that just don't add up. Like it was changed to fit the ending better, but bits and pieces are still there.

What if it was suppose to be a real curse? And expedition was able to stay so long under ground because it was not "activated" or something? Or it was slowly affecting their psyche? Lady Bradshaw was wearing that damm old ancient broach.

And when Mailman man came curse was activated due hostility or some? Or maybe it was already active because shepherds were feeding to the curse by killing and throwing bodies down there? Like, they did it with French group not long before game invents started?

And, like we saw in the beginning, the curse may have been triggered by violence with all the war and blood sacrifice.

Or, and it is probably the correct answer, I'm just reaching, cause I writing a supernatural based fanfiction there it's an actual curse and shit 😂

I wonder if maybe he started to have fear induced hallucinations then. It would be a possibility with the saliva from the vampires causing heightened fear that long term exposure could lead to something close to paranoid schizophrenia. I've been wondering about it since my second playthrough, I've been looking over a lot of the secrets trying to make sure I'm getting details right and had to take a moment after realizing Randy never mentioned killing his wife even though you find what I presume is her body down in the med bay.

Admittedly, I've been playing this game probably a bit too much trying to get details in. (To the point I'm realizing they don't change the buttons used during QTEs so I've started to predict them). I hadn't seen too many posts related to the 1940s crew and wondered how many people had brought it up before.

Not going to lie I'm probably going to be changing it to where it makes sense, Mary having been killed, Bradshaw actually having her teeth gone, etc, as I'm planning on using the medical reports on Mary as a basis for something. I just wonder if the devs left those in on purpose or if it was an oversight.
