Happy day before season six tdp fandom (I’m so excited oh my god)

Just in time for the new season I’m dropping all my recent tdp fanart bc I drew way too much! (Part 1)

Okkk so I have a doodle request. if it's not too much trouble, could you perhaps draw the characters doing bts stuff if this was a live action? Like, hear me out. Selfies of Callum’s actor getting his makeup done for the post-dark magic scenes in season 2 with Rayla’s actress commenting “drop the eyeshadow tut bestie!!”. Ez’s actor posting the most stupid, ten-year-old-boy-on-instagram stuff. To be clear- these aren’t the voice actors. These are live action, teenage actors, that have nothing to do with the actual cast. Soren’s actor trying to prank people on set, failing miserably, and getting dozens upon dozens of comments that are like “Omg why is he literally Soren irl”. Amaya’s actress posting on her story “Someone please come pick up (Callum’s actor) he is failing miserably at learning ASL”. With Callum’s actor in the bg signing “fuck you” while repeating “thank you! Thank you!” Rayla’s actress posting a GRWM of herself drawing on her markings and putting on her ears, wig, horns, etc. Janai posting “Me bc I do all my own stunts while @(Amaya’s actress)’s lounges about. Like if you’re only doing this to kiss me you could just say so” Harrow and Sarai being married irl. idk the possiblities are limitless go crazy! It seems like a fun thing to draw but obviously you don't have to lol, feel free to delete this ask and forget it ever existed (/gen).

But yeah I have like dozens upon dozens of doodle ideas like this saved in my Google Drive and no ability to draw so if you're ever out of ideas I have as many as your heart desires

Here are my thoughts:

Ezran’s actor pulls a Tom Holland so often that he now gets his scripts the day of filming to prevent any spoilers

Corvus’s actor was a stunt double on another set but the directors like him so much they invited him to audition in their next series

A lot of Soren’s scenes are ad libbed or straight up accidents

Kasef’s actor is extremely soft on the kids on set often checking up on them after intense scenes

Amaya’s actress likes to play jokes sometimes including teaching people on set swears instead of their lines, of course teaching them the proper sign afterwards

in which I felt like doodling them plotting for a job and Cally is just out here doing god's work by suggesting plans that does NOT involve murdering anyone and saving more people. I was going to do a long post on how I approach drawing these two but then I chickened out. Let me know if you are interested though because I will not shut up about how they are literally the definition of opposite but balanced any time soon.

Based on this radio show from genshin impact. In which magic still exists and they're literally just replaying events from their lives. That's why Aaravos age is infinity because I don't feel like I have the right to tell him how old he should be 😂😂😂

He just knows exactly what to say at all times. Callum doesn't know whether he should laugh or cry right now. Tbh he really think he's gonna die so might as well come clean so that no scandals will proceed after his death about him having any lost children or spouses. It's called thinking with his head and never with his penis. somehow. it's super effective.

The Dragon Prince Actor AU! So I actually called in love with @juniperarts BNHA Actor AU on Twitter and Instagram (you should totally check it out, it’s amazing!) so I wanted to make my own version of it with my favorite kids!

TDP Actor AU

I miss writing these, so of course I do one for my next favorite hyperfixated show

General

Callum and Ezran’s actors are actually brothers. Since they worked incredibly well together in their auditions they were both chosen to play the roles of the princes’.

This is Ezran’s actors first major acting role

Funnily enough, Claudia and Soren’s actors aren’t related, but many have mistaken them to be actual siblings. Claudia’s actress has called Soren’s actor her “brother from another mother” on her social media plenty of times.

They actually worked together on other shows/movies where they played siblings, so of course it comes naturally to them

Ezran actually acts with a Bait plushie that he now doesn’t go anywhere on set without.

Claudia actually dyed that section of her hair purple, and let Ezran’s actor paint her nails. Although she wears a wig, Rayla’s actress really wants to dye her hair white, and Claudia gives her tips.

A lot of the humor coming from Soren is usually ad-libbed by his actor. Since he sometimes comes up with something funnier than what the writers intended, they sometimes just write “Soren does/says something” and let his actor go wild

Rayla’s actress was a gymnast, which is how she moves so agilely and begged the crew to let her do her own stunts. She was allowed this freedom, but in certain fight scenes they have a stunt double doing the work.

Callum’s actor thought Rayla was just really good at mimicking accents, but she really does have a Scottish accent.

Rayla, Callum, Ezran, Soren, and Claudia’s actors when not on set like to joke around, especially “casting” magic. But instead of saying the spell, they often say, “You’re watching the Disney Channel!”

Claudia and Viren find that the dark spells are just sentences played backwards is both really cool but also creepy

One problem some of the elven actors face is when their horns would fall off during scenes, sometimes for no reason. There are lots of blooper takes so far when this happens, to the point where the actors yell “point!” every time it happens, since they made a bet to the staff that if they would get at least a total of five horn drops in a season, then they would have to treat the actors to a restaurant.

All the elf actors have to wear what they call a “finger glove” over their pinky, so their finger can be CG’d out to show that they only have four fingers. In far away scenes, they don’t worry about it so much, but on close ups, they have to wear the finger glove. 

Season 1

Echoes of Thunder

Callum’s actor integrated his photographic memory and love for art into his character, and the writers went with it

The baker that Ezran steals jelly tarts from is actually one of the directors for the show

Claudia’s actress says that when playing Claudia, she’s literally just being herself.

She says that one time in the past, she did end up running into a tree when reading a book. Her father videotaped it and forever has proof.

Runaan’s hair has gotten caught and tangled with his surroundings on more than one occasion. His horns also sometimes gets tangled in his hair

Harrow and Viren’s actors are old friends, and were surprised to see each other on set when shooting their first scene together. That scene happened to be when Viren goes to offer to switch his soul with Harrow’s

Harrow’s actor begged to be able to throw in the “winter is coming” line, since he’s a huge GoT fan.

However after he’s killed off, he asks the writers if they intentionally made him the Ned Stark of this show because of it.

Pip is actually all CGI, since Harrow’s actor is allergic to birds. But he does have a cat that he calls Pip.

Callum’s actor had a hard time not tearing up when he had to say goodbye to Harrow.

Rayla’s actor tends drops her weapons more often than the other actors do

What Is Done

The two guards who are talking with each other about breakfast are actually some of the writers.

Ezran just made up the combination for the “stone rock” 

Claudia was just told to act like she hated the jelly, and while it tasted a bit like oranges, she called it persimmons, because she doesn’t like those fruits

Claudia has a bit of a hard time moving in her dress down the stairs and nearly tripped a few times. So she was glad that later on her outfit gets changed

But she always liked filming the part where she treats her hand like a flashlight. 

Moonrise

The egg is actually lighter than it looks, made out of thin 3D printed plastic and carefully painted

Viren and Harrow’s actors could barely keep a straight face when Harrow orders Viren “on his knees”, which is why the cameras use more close ups of their faces, since one of the other was trying hard not to crack up

In order to get the “dark” moonshadow elf look, Runaan and Rayla’s actors actually have to get more makeup applied on them, and then get layered on with CGI. They’re both less than pleased about having to spend more time in the makeup chair, but they put up with it.

Callum actually has a hard time saying the spells, because he would sometime stumble on the words. A majority of the blooper reels are of him messing up.

Everyone off set made jokes about Callum being Ariel while Viren was Ursula after Viren takes his voice

Bloodthirsty

Amaya’s actress is actually deaf, and was the first choice to play her character which she happily accepted. She has a brother in the army, and bases some of Amaya’s characteristics off of him. 

She’s grown close to Ezran and Callum’s actors, teaching them ASL and starting to treat them like they’re her actual nephews

Gren’s actor is a close friend with Amaya’s actress, and is usually the one who translates for her outside and during work

The loaf of bread Amaya describes as “weapons grade” is actually a loaf of bread one of the staff members baked, but left it out for too long, so it hardened. They decided to throw that into the script. 

The snail armor line was actually an argument Ezran and Callum had when they were younger

Rayla’s actress was sad when the writers forced her character to cut her braid, since she would spend some time off set to braid it herself

Rayla almost teared up when her character calls Callum out on saying she’s a monster

The cube is made out of thin metal, and there are lights inside that glow when someone off set hits a switch

An Empty Throne

Rayla’s actress does get a bit motion sick, but not to the extent that her character does

The boat ride the three ride on is shot on something like Roaring Rapids 

However, the drop from the small waterfall and the close ups on the actors faces were done on green screens

Amaya’s actress enjoys how much her character calls out Viren on his bullshit. 

Sarai’s actress and Amaya are actually related to each other, and Amaya’s signing to her statue are how she feels about her sister. It’s also thanks to her sister that she even got into the acting industry. 

Through the Ice

Ezran’s actor has an idea of what the talk about “sandwiches” indicates, although when he asks his brother to clarify, he changes the subject

Callum’s actor had to sit down a few times because he lost his breath when performing the Aspiro spell

Rayla’s actress doesn’t like looking at her hand, because she doesn’t like the bruising color it leaves behind.

Running up the stairs and stretching is how Soren’s actor usually prepares to play Soren 

His history is like a see-saw line is ad-libbed which threw of Viren’s actor and he had to adjust to that line

Offset, Claudia occasionally does call Soren “Sor-bear”

The Dagger and the Wolf

Ezran’s actor loves animals, and hopes to either be a veterinarian or an animal caretaker if he ever stops acting

The huge swordsman used to be a wrestler, and agreed to play this part as a favor to one of the writer’s who’s their acquaintance. 

Rayla’s actress had a blast playing “human Rayla”, and the lines that made it in were improvised. 

When getting an idea for Ava and Ellis, the girl who gave the writers some pointers ended up getting the role of Ellis, while her companion wolf got Ava

Cursed Caldera

Callum’s actor claims he had the best pun about the Cursed Caldera and everyone else was just jealous at how good it was

Rayla’s actress hates slugs and was not fond of seeing the CGI monster she’d have to fight off

Runaan’s actor admits that he didn’t like filming his scenes when he’s imprisoned, mainly because he was always cold without a top on. He thinks that the writers purposefully had him without a shirt for many different reasons

It takes roughly three hours in the makeup chair for Viren to get his “corrupted” form done

Wonderstorm

Claudia genuinely thought the “Ka-tallest mountain” line was hilarious which made it easier for her to really laugh on set

Rayla’s actress literally booked it off the set when the mummified person hisses at her

For the effect of the spider-roar, Ezran had to stand in front of a large leaf blower and he actually enjoyed that part, thinking it was funny

While the actors thought that the spiders looked cool, they admitted that they would never want to see them ever get that big

Callum’s “jerkface dance” is actually something one of the writers did for their siblings whenever they had to apologize. Callum is particularly proud of how he got down the movements in three tries. 

The actors all cooed when they got to see what Zym looked like and all demanded that stuffed versions of him would be made available and they’d get theirs first

Lujanne’s actress claims she likes wearing the elven horns more than the ears

She likes to think Phoe-Phoe is based off of her own pet bird that she allowed the team to use as a reference

AU where Runaan and Tinker play the romantic leads in a play and they start off hating each other

Runaan and Tinker are two of the most sought after actors of their age. Runaan is a big action, fantasy and sci fi star and is famous for his stunts. He agrees to take one of the lead roles because he wants to show everyone his potential and range as an actor and to promote LGBTQ+ stories.

Tinker is a big tv star with a movie every couple of years. He's most famous for his roles in period dramas and romantic movies. He also makes jewellery and makes pieces for all his co-stars. He also makes and sells his jewellery and donates all his profits to various charities. Like Runaan he agrees to take on the role to promote LGBTQ+ stories.

When they find out they will be not only sharing the spotlight but are also playing each others love interests they are horrified. Runaan and Tinker have hated each other since their late teens when they starred in a fantasy franchise together. They were very different and their personalities clashed and once filming wrapped they vowed to never work together again, a vow they have kept until this play.

Hardly anyone knows about their hatred of one another as they kept it secret in order to keep filming harmonious while they were on set. This secrecy makes it impossible for them to make too much of a fuss as neither one of them wants their hatred of one another to be picked up by the tabloids. They meet and agree to be polite and civil to one another while they are doing the play.

The play is a period drama and follows two young men from neighbouring kingdoms who fall in love and whose love is tested when their kingdoms go to war.

Despite their hatred of one another their onstage chemistry is amazing.

The first big surprise for them comes in their first kiss scene when they both find that out that the other is actually a pretty great kisser. This annoys the pair of them a great deal.

A couple of months into rehearsals Runaan stays behind late to practice his lines when Tinker, who had forgotten his scarf drops by. At first he listens secretly but given his experience on the stage he decides to step in and give Runaan some pointers. Runaan is annoyed but eventually takes Tinker's advice and finds, much to his displeasure, that his acting has greatly improved with Tinker's advice.

A week later Runaan asks Tinker to stay behind and give him some more pointers as he knows Tinker will always be honest with him. He agrees and their late night rehearsals soon become a regular occurrence.

Soon their hatred fades into an unexpected friendship where they find themselves apologising for their treatment of one another in their teens.

Tinker asks Runaan why he started staying behind and taking his advice. Runaan tells him that while he loves his roles he feels that he's becoming typecast and thought that he may never get a chance to play a role like this. He's afraid that if his performance isn't spectacular people will never give him a role like this ever again. He then tells Tinker that he's always wanted to star in a Shakespearean play.

Tinker then tells Runaan that he's incredibly talented and if people don't see it then they are fools who wouldn't know great acting if it came up and bit him on the nose. He specifically mentions one of Runaan's most famous roles in which he played an assassin elf as an example of his talent as an actor. Runaan is shocked that Tinker has watched his tv show willingly to which Tinker tells him that it was his ex's favourite and they watched it every week together until they broke up. The conversation ends and they, to both their shocks, have a moment together.

Things change after that night as they both realise that they are falling for one another. One night they decide to practice one of their most romantic scenes together, the moment where their characters share their first declaration of undying love for one another. Suddenly they find themselves staring into one another's eyes before their romantic tension finally breaks and they finally kiss one another.

They go to Tinker's place as it is closest to the theatre and end up kissing and talking all night. They start dating in secret with their late night practice sessions also becoming dates nights.

Finally the play is ready to be open and Tinker and Runaan give it their all, earning a well deserved standing ovation and encore. The play is a huge hit for the West End and is nominated for a number of awards.

A couple of months after the play premieres the pair goes public with their relationship.

A few months later Runaan is offered the role of Hamlet.

Tinker gets cast as the lead in a big historical epic (think Vikings or HBO's Rome) and this time Runaan is the one to give him some pointers. 2 years later Runaan is cast on the same show and plays one of Tinker's allies who, if the rumours are true, might actually be Tinker's character's old flame.

10 months after their play premieres Runaan and Tinker get engaged with a secret wedding taking place 6 months later.

Zutara Tdp Bodyguard au

So we know that two of the five kingdom’s leaders are dead

What if Zuko (or a character like Zuko or just has the same voice actor) is a prince and has to take up the throne of one of those kingdoms

and Katara is his bodyguard who was originally born in Katolis but then her family moved, BUT they’re CHILDHOOD FRIENDS who grew up together WITH CALLUM (WHO’S VOICE ACTOR ALSO PLAYED SOKKA)

So when the human kingdoms’ leaders and the elf leaders go to a meeting to sort out a new peace/treaty/trade agreement or something

Not Zuko™ and Not Katara™ meet up with Callum and they swap stories about what they’ve been doing and stuff

And thus Zutara shippers get a technically canon relationship with Zuko and Katara

I need your help, Im trying to figure out how to cast a 'Dragon Prince' SG AU. The obvious are Rayla-Kara and Callum-Lena. Also Amaya-Alex and Janai-Sam, and Gren-Brainy. I guess Viren-Lex and Aarvos-Lillian? Who for Ezran? Or Claudia and Soren?This one is tough, and I absolutely LOVE that it is. You know why? Because it's a sign that the Dragon Prince is a uniquely crafted story, with wholly original characters with distinct personalities.The reason why it's often so easy to swap characters in and out of universes is because a lot of the media we're given today are cookie cutter templates of tropey character rosters set against various premises. For some casts, the performers can be charming enough that we don't care. But its only when you break away from that template that it becomes difficult to transplant characters without having to rewrite wide swaths of story to make them fit.For example, here's how the archetypes fit best between SG and TDP:- Kara as Ezran- Alex as Callum- Sam as Reyla - J'onn as Amaya- Maggie as Janai- Winn as Gren- Lena as Claudia- Brainy as Soren- Lex/Lillian as some variation of Viren/Aravos (but see? neither assignment for these two really fits)But if we're leaning more towards getting a supercorp story out of it while trying to stay relatively true to TDP canon plot, we might see something closer to... - Lena as Reyla- Kara as Callum- Alex as Amaya- Sam as Janai- Winn as Gren...with Viren's family an assorted line up of baddies because there's nothing that quite fits both the characters and the story simultaneously. And Ezran would have to be a new actor, bc the only kid character I could slot there would be either Ruby or young Kal-el, which again, doesn't quite mesh with either canon.So yes, we could cram these two shows together for a story, but in order to make it work, we would have to seriously rework either the plot or the characters. And the fact we would have to put significant effort into it means that it's not one of the usual templates floating around, and that fact fills ne with utter joy and pure adoration for The Dragon Prince and all they do.

Indiana Jones, Robotic Delivery Boys & AMD Ryzen

WOW!!! We have an amazing episode for you this week, first up, thank you to our 1000 weekly listeners, you are amazing. At last, winter is here, and Professor and Buck are both totally enjoying it. DJ has brought us the controversy of the week, with wild claims of a new Indiana Jones, and the boys pile in on him. Once again we solve the world’s greatest issues with logic and careful consideration. We decide Chris Pratt is not suitable for taking on the role and also convince DJ that Indiana Jones is not a Marvel character yet; give Disney time and they will make it happen eventually I’m sure.

            With a fabulous Segway into the next topic we look at Digit. Not the figures, the robot that will help deliver your shopping from the car to your door. Professor decides he wants one to carry the shopping from the door to the kitchen and then cook his food. DJ calls robots slaves, revealing his desire to take over the world. Buck and Professor decide that given the way technology has been moving they wish to become Cyborgs and serve the robot overlords. We align the killer drones, self-replicating robots, driverless cars and robot dogs.

            Moving along before we get into too much trouble. We have a new CPU that is pushing the limits and is looks surprised at how amazing it is. AMD is back baby and challenging Intel once again. Buck and Professor fully geek out over what this means for building your own system. If you get confused and lost please let us know; we will get Professor to write up a translation for you. We also figure out how to turn your computer into an oven. We mean literally you will be able to cook your sausages and toast your marsh mellows.

            As always we make fun of everything, have a laugh with each other, at each other and life in general. We have the usual shout outs, remembrances, birthdays, and events of interest. As always, take care of yourselves, look out for each other, and stay hydrated. NERDS rule!!!

He has been called the "Father of American Scholarship and Education". His blue-backed speller books taught five generations of American children how to spell and read. Webster's name has become synonymous with "dictionary" in the United States. In 1806, Webster published his first dictionary, A Compendious Dictionary of the English Language. The following year, he started working on an expanded and comprehensive dictionary, finally publishing it in 1828. He was very influential in popularizing certain spellings in the United States.
