andy’s the type of slightly possessive, slightly jealous boyfriend. nothing too serious, he wouldn’t want to throw you off since he loves you, but seriously, he’ll occasionally ask you about what you have goin’ on with another dude (or girl, if you like more than one gender and he knows that).

he’s a bit of a touch-me-not, until he met you. he loves when you give him hugs or kisses, or asks for cuddles. he’s so damn touch starved, it’s insane, but luckily he has you.

in public, he’ll do everything to shower you in affection to show the others that you’re his, not theirs. someone else staring at you? he’ll randomly pull you into a hug and kiss your temple. another person coming up to you and using their skibidi gyat rizz (brainrot is getting to me)? andy will wrap his arm around your waist, pull you closer to him and glare at the other person with an intensity so.. um, intense it could kill.

gives other girls the biggest, fattest side-eye whenever they flirt with him (especially if you’re around.) he doesn’t have the heart to curse them out or confront them, but his not-so-subtle actions certainly push them away.

this doesn’t mean he doesn’t have secret admirers, though. some girls still try, knowing that you’re with him—sometimes, when he opens his locker, little notes with scribbled hearts fall out, but he always rips them up and throws them in the trash can.

one day, you came to meet his parents and brought them gift cards to a restaurant and chocolates. they were overjoyed, a bit too excited to receive the gift cards (especially renee) and andy saw right through their facade. he made sure to stop bringing you around his parents from that day on.

It’s just- such a wonderful feeling isn’t it?

To have someone who’s so in love with you that she wants the world to know you’re hers

This is totally not indicative of larger issues throughout your life or a general sense of self worth so low you’re enamored by your girlfriend’s hostile form of love

Ashley’s ways of making it known to the hussies of the world that you’re hers can range from clinging to your arm in public, to purposefully leaving very visible bite marks to scare people off

She’s also just- generally weary of your friends

You knew a relationship would divide the time you spent with them, but after so many last minute cancellations due to Ashley having an emergency they just- faded away

More time for Ashley!

Being the concerned and caring girlfriend she is, she wants to know where you are at all times- and when you think you’ll be home

She gets so worried when you’re home later than you said- clinging to you with tears in her eyes about how scared she was that something bad happened or worse- that you replaced her

Ashley is exhausting, you know that much

But dammit- in some twisted, messed up way this possessiveness makes you feel loved. Makes you feel wanted

Being transmasc ourselves, we absolutely adore the idea of T4T Coffincest.

• Andy and Leyley both coming out to each other at very young ages, being each other’s first and biggest supporters. Especially with their mom being as shitty as she is, they really ONLY have each other for that support.

• Andrew ALWAYS biting back at bullies who DARE misgender his sister behind her back. (They’re never able to do it to her face, they’re too scared. But then they learn that they’ll get their shit ROCKED if they dare disrespect her at all.)

• They take each other’s dead names. At first, it’s to fuck with Ms. Graves. If she won’t respect them on her own, they’ll be little shits about it and make her.

Often, they’ll hear a call from the other side of the house: “Andrew—”

And Andy will call, “Yeah?”

“ANDREW—” She’s a lot more pissed now.

“YES, MOM?” He matches her tone.

This goes on for a few more rounds until she finally gets exasperated and goes, “ASHLEY, STOP—”

Leyley calls back, “What the hell am I DOING?”

(Cue Ms. Graves ripping her hair out. Deserved.)

• But what started out as a way to mess with their mom turned into a genuine way for them to heal. Those wrong names they were given, that they hated, that weren’t them, became the names they most love to say because they belong to the person that they love the most. The person they’d kill for, the person they’d die for, the person they’re attached to the hip with till the very end. Their person. And they wouldn’t have it any other way.

My personal headcanon is that the siblings' mom's name is Aspen Graves. Aspen is the name of a species of tree; and the American Aspen in particular is a white tree with black scars along the bark that typically blooms with golden yellow leaves. Another fun fact about aspens is that they do not make for good firewood; they dry slowly, rot quickly, and do not give off much heat. I think the metaphor speaks for itself.

I also like the idea of her having an 'As' starting name because I feel like initially she had wanted a daughter. I feel like their first child had been unplanned but the second was not. Aspen was disappointed that her first child ( conceived as a teen for that matter ) was a boy, but when Andrew turned out to be an obedient and well-behaved child she Got Over It.

But she and her husband tried again because Aspen wanted a girl, she wanted a mini-me, and she was excited when she found out the baby was indeed a girl, so she gave Ashley a similar name.

But then when Ashley was born and Ashley Wasn't The Daughter She Expected(tm), she Lost Interest and pushed Ashley off onto Andrew instead.

i feel like my personal headcanon would be that andy's around 186cm/6'1, and ashley being around 160cm/5'3

he used his own money to celebrate her birthday with her when her parents didn't. he spent quality time with her when no one else did. he played with her when her "friends" didn't. he asked people to sit with her at lunch so she wouldn't be alone. he probably did her hair when she was younger. he indulged her in every whim because he wanted his baby sister to be happy. he sleeps in the same bed as her at night. he feels better when ashley is happy. he likes to make her laugh. he's able to help her see a happier perspective of life.

did he teach her to read? to write? did he encourage her to draw? did he take her shopping for clothes when they were younger? did he make sure she did her schoolwork? has he helped her with it? do you think he shared his college work and textbooks with her, to make sure she was able to keep her education going despite the lack of support from her parents? did he teach her to cook? to do laundry? to bathe? how much of what she knows is because of andrew? did he get her the plants on her desk in the apartment?

about Andrew's reaction to the incest vision...

let me just. frantically type up an essay after all cause this is eating me alive-

OKAY so basically, after watching the Burial vision scene a couple more times as one does i'm now starting to think that really, Andrew's mortified reaction is all about the fact that he feels found out. he's been trying so so so hard to deny his down-badness to even himself that having it spelled out so clearly to not only himself but also his sister of all people like that just sends him into a panic. he has to deny it even harder, even though it's completely absurd at that point to try and keep up the farce...

it's a vision, and the visions have been established in the game already to be true glimpses at the future unless someone goes out of their way to prevent them. that means there's no way for him to believably act like it's nonsense. he's being confronted with it first by the vision and then once they woke up, his sister as well.

and so of course he freaks out. cause he's probably internalized that actually acting out his incest fantasies is completely out of the question and would be crossing a final line where there's no coming back from and all of this has been driving him crazy to the point where it's completely warped his perception of Ashley's responses to his extremely casual out-of-line remarks and levels of physical intimacy. he's also convinced himself that Ashley sees this aspect of their relationship the same way, that she wouldn't want them to end up crossing that line.

HOWEVER, she's been happily replying to his inappropriate comments in kind, and even when their exchanges got very suggestive because of that, Ashley is just rolling with it because to her boundaries simply are incomprehensible. yes, she knows this is not innocent stuff, she's aware that it's not just jokes or whatever Andrew is trying to pass it off as. she's not oblivious to it. but it doesn't really affect her in the same way. thinking about them getting it on doesn't make her feel disgusted with herself in the same way it makes Andrew feel about himself. that's why she's so unbothered by the vision and even confused about his distress.

yet Andrew on the other hand has spent so much time living in a constant state of cognitive dissonance that he's successfully convinced himself (at least superficially) that this is totally just how normal siblings interact. nothing incestuous or inappropriate about it, nope. because if he had to admit that it's not, he'd have to come to terms with his "forbidden" attraction to his own sister!!

It's time for some autistic ramblings.

In a head canon, I think Andrew (as the poet and romantic we know him as) would like to sing to Ashley. Especially so when they get closer in the burial route.

Like in my mind, he would sing some of the poems he had written (kinda like how ancient Greek poems were meant to be sung) or he would sing a cheesy song like "Hey There Delilah" - except Andrew would switch out Delilah for Ashley to reassure her and show her his devotion.

And as their relationship develops, I think Andrew would sing Meddle About to here to symbolize how down bad he is for her, how much he wants her and how much she drives him crazy.
