The pioneering project of Thane Borivali Twin Tunnel is poised to transform connectivity between Mumbai and Thane. Here are a few significant features of the project:
-Spanning 11.8 km, the Thane-Borivali Twin Tube Tunnel will be India's longest and largest urban tunnel.
-Utilizes the world’s largest Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) for construction efficiency.
- Connects Thane to National Highway 8 in Borivali, passing beneath the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
-Each tunnel features two unidirectional lanes and an emergency lane, interconnected by cross passages every 300 meters.
- Designed with state-of-the-art ventilation systems meeting international standards (NFPA502 and BD78-99).
- Projected to reduce CO2 emissions by 150,000 metric tonnes annually and decrease particulate matter, enhancing environmental sustainability.
- Utilizes 4,000 metric tonnes of structural steel and 660,000 cubic meters of concrete for robust infrastructure.
- Promises to reduce travel time from Borivali to Thane from 1-1.5 hours to just 12 minutes, benefiting approximately 100,000 commuters and reducing congestion and pollution on Ghodbunder Road.
-The project highlights MMRDA's commitment to protecting the sensitive ecosystem of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, showcasing their dedication to sustainable development.

Hi! For Truth Be Told Tuesday: how do you name characters? And what usually comes first when you construct a character, the name, the appearance, or the personality?
Hi! Thanks for the ask! Happy TbTT!
Most of the time I use whatever name I used for the dnd version of them, and those names I use a name generator for or from the ideas list in the player handbook, but for the ones that don't have dnd counterparts I'll use a generator or pick something that I think sounds right. Like for Ash I knew I wanted her to have a name that's sorta associated with fire and I was also looking at the names of trees for inspiration, so I was thinking out loud and found one that worked as both, and was like "yay! That works, now she has a name!!!!".
And I have honestly no idea. Sometimes I start with the kind of role I want them to have, and sometimes I get the species first because that helps a lot in deciding what kind of person they are, since elves and dwarves and demonsbloods are all so different in terms of cultures and that decides a lot of who they are. But also it's often the appearance. Or the personality. It's never the name, that generally comes last.

Here it is a before and after drawing!
It's incredible how someone can improve so much in so short time! I think this is the best drawing that I made.

Hey! Happy TbTT (: I hope you're well. What do you feel is your greatest PERSONAL obstacle (ie motivation, depression, feeling like your writing will never be good enough, etc etc) when it comes to writing and how do you combat it?
For me, a lot of the time, it's that I feel I never write enough. Like, I'm not a 'true' writer, because I don't write every single day. Even if I'm inspired, I often have to take breaks, and it makes me feel like I'm not pushing myself hard enough.
Most of the time, all I can do is just... Not Listen. I've gotten pretty good at tuning out insecure voices when I catch them, so it's not the most difficult thing. But it's still something that can very well wear me down.

“I’ve been watching you for some time now. I saw the way you wielded that sword. It’s a good fit for you. Did you enjoy tearing up poor Kuma?” “Not especially.” Zoro says flatly. "Don’t act like you’re so above it all. I think that you feel excited when you see blood. You don't have to be ashamed of it.” Zoro glares at him, watching him pace back and forth. “Did you become a homicide investigator because you get a kick out of seeing shattered bone and mutilated corpses? It’s not something we in polite society discuss very often." —Ch. 10, Tiger by the Tail by Vandereer (@dandunn)
obsessed that they had their confrontation in a crumbling cathedral so i had to illustrate it (close-ups under the cut)

#one piece#roronoa zoro#dracule mihawk#modern aru#tiger by the tail#tbtt art#ok umm lazy religious symbolism explanation for ppl who managed to escape catholic/christian upbringing#mihawk is standing in front of a stained glass depicting the annunciation (the angel gabriel tells mary she has to bear jesus)#mihawk is the angel of death etc (stole this from a line in ch. 20)#yoru's hilt is blocking mary's face (she's commonly seen as symbol of mercy). make of that what you will#umm what else. red crosses on either side of mihawk is st george's cross#there r also red dragons curling up the crosses on the door which alludes to the legend of st george defeating a dragon#(you probably have to squint bc i turned the brightness down a lot)#i was referencing the interior of calvary-st.george's parish in nyc which is where daredevil season 3's church fight was shot#ok i think that's it. anyway i'm surprised that i managed to make a whole illustration. this was intense n the background killed me#but dramatic and bloody church confrontations ft stained glass is my weakness!!!#oh yeah i added the votive candles bc i remember it was such a good detail when zoro came into the church and was like#wtf there are still ppl here???#also needed an alt source of lighting. but not going to lie drawing them was scary but it turned out well#illustration#my art

hi kat 💕
i imagine it’s been a tough couple of weeks for you. the way i felt that part about struggling with your writing. i have so many ideas right now and plans and sometimes the words just won’t come.
but i wanted to drop something in your ask box that might inspire you:
Bruises will form on your hips from his grip, and you imagine his fingers to be burying into your skin like those of the famous Bernini statue, turning the way he fucks you into art."
what a line, right? remember who wrote it?
i’m kidding of course, you recognize your own work. but as you were thinking about struggling with your stories, @sahmfanficbts @reliablemitten @miscelunaaa and i were literally salivating over TBTT and your prose.
for whatever that’s worth, kat 💕
ana my love 😭😭😭😭 i read this message about six times because it’s worth so much. you have no idea how much this touched me. i got quite teary reading this and seeing how in my little world i’ve been lamenting my writing and feeling as though it’s quite useless and dull. and yet, how extraordinary. there’s a whole other world with you, my dear friends, approaching it from a whole other place. sharing it together and talking. little celebrations together. you have no idea how much i needed to hear that. how badly i needed to step out of my gloomy little self. gosh i wish i could express how much you touched me with a simple message. i will never be able to properly express my gratitude for you and your kindness. i love you so dearly 💗💗💗

Happy TbTT!! I'm so excited to have you join the new event! For your questions, I wanted to ask you: What is your favorite form of writing? If you created a whole new form of writing, what would you call it and describe what it would be like (when I say “form,” I mean things like poetry, songwriting, stories, novels etc etc)?
Happy TbTT, @hannahs-creations! Thanks for this event!
Well, I can't write poems for the life of me, so my favourite form is prose. I especially like writing non-exactly-realistic prose, with a touch of bizzarre/surreal sceneries (my current wip is full of bizzarre sensations and I had a blast writing it). I especially like dream-like scenes!
I haven't really created anything new, but sometimes I like to dabble in what I call "writing portraits", which are "emotional portraits" of characters. It's usually a scene that expresses the mood of a certain character, kinda like a moodboard in written form. You know how sometimes there is a certain piece of art that perfectly encompasses how a character feels? That's what I strive to achieve in these pieces. I haven't written one in quite a while, though.
...I should write another one someday...

Happy TbTT! :D What is your process for developing characters? And what's your favourite part?
Thank you!!!
I generally start with their origin and role, then build up their name, appearance and personality in an appropriate way according to that origin. I’ll use a woman from Sycamore’s home culture as an example!
Name: Plant names are very common, especially tree names for women! She will probably have a name like Willow, Aspen, or Magnolia.
Appearance: Most women are built tall and sturdy like the trees they are named for. But even the tiniest ladies tend to be physically tough.
Personality: A woman is expected to be emotionally strong too, especially in dire and dangerous situations. How much will this character abide by cultural expectations?
After the bare bones, I develop the finer details of their character. From hobbies and interests to their long-term life goals. It varies for each character, for example a side character doesn’t need as much detail fleshed out. (But it’s fun to do it anyway!)
My favorite part is... making the Picrew!!! I just love rewarding myself by seeing the character come to life in those little art makers.

“You cops, you get stupider every year…” the man said, pulling a tiny knife from a cross-shaped pendant around his neck. The blade caught the lights of the ferris wheel as he studied it. “...almost makes this too easy; like hunting rabbits.” —Ch. 8, Tiger by the Tail by Vandereer (@dandunn)

Happy TBTT! :D What's the most self-indulgent thing you've ever written?
Creating a modern au for Bride of Loki, with the cast set in college. Siv’s an art major who is Loki’s adopted daughter, Mabelle’s a biology major who is a TA for Freyr’s art class, Kari is an art major who works at Sigyn’s coffee shop, and Miks studying to be a doctor.
