you ever just think about how sejanus would forgive coryo for hanging him if not now you can

STOP IT 😭😭. i think about this so fucking much i hate it. it’s so gut wrenching how even after they played the tapes, instead of making the conscious decision to call out and curse snow, sejanus chose to just scream out for his mother. sejanus truly loved snow, so much so that even at the revelation that snow was the reason sej was being hung, he didn’t want his final moments to be spent targeting snow.

i also believe sejanus saw the good in everyone and everything, at his core he stood for morality (which is also such a heavy factor in why him and snow were unfortunately destined to have a bad ending) so it would make sense for him to forgive snow even for such a heinous betrayal. sejanus would want to believe snow could change, he would convince himself he could reform even if that cld never be the case :(.

Real talk tho I am using Snowjanus to quit nicotine. Anytime I want a puff of that watermelon ice crystal Bar I just think about how Snow keeps Sejanus at arm’s length, giving him just enough attention to keep him loyal and useful, whilst Sejanus laps it up knowing that this is the best it will ever get. Knowing he deserves less than what Coryo is giving him, that he’s out of his depth. Coriolanus is a worn and thready lifeline, and Sejanus clings to it, half-drowned as he is.
