Not to sound like a gatekeeping asshole or anything but the amount of people on Twitter being all like “omg wnba players are paid so little why is that” just now is like… yeah that’s kinda how it is?? Obviously I wish the players would be paid more and they can def do better in terms of coverage but like the league’s only been around for 30 years and stuff out of their control has been restricting its growth (bad media deals lol) so probably not the best idea to compare it to like the NBA bc that’s been around way longer

its always been a bit of a regular occurrence, but along with the r-slur, there feels to be a bit of a resurgence in the use of “schizo/schizophrenic” as an insult or otherwise negative descriptor. being on the soulsborne side of things, too, various spitballed lore theories are often lobbed as “schizophrenic”, and it’s honestly depressing

so i think its always a good idea to learn about schizophrenic people past the horror movies and the insults like that. i’d like to recommend a couple of channels ive been watching lately to help

SBSK covers a LOT of people with all sorts of disabilities, and there’s quite a few with schizophrenia as well. chris (the interviewer) is always very thorough and considerate with his questions, and i think this woman’s openness with her experiences are particularly enlightening

and Yutaka here is a japanese man with schizophrenia, who’s made a bit of an informal blog about his thoughts and experiences. This video in particular is one where he details the struggles of being schizophrenic in japan, especially. He’s got a much smaller channel too, so a few extra views going his way could also be helpful

i don’t have schizophrenia myself, but it’s important to learn about all sorts of people and their experiences, especially when they’re at risk of receiving all sorts of abuse from the start. and if you’ve been saying that kinda stuff yourself, cut that shit out lmfao

i am working on more actually! I'm currently working on a new set of 3, but I'm lowkey loving shimo a lot so i may have to sneak her in too she's a girl to me until the movie crushes my dreams but yess i'm currently working on rodan, kong, and biollante :3c

buuuuut it'll likely take me a while to get them out bcuz like 95% of my art time rn is dedicated to working on stuff for the comic con i'm gonna be vending at. but once that's done i'll be free and clear to spend all my free time on them.... im honestly dying to work on them more but im gonna make it a reward for myself for finishing all my con art lmao
