cuz these mfs are always buzzing around in my brain like the little bees that they are

• the yjs who got into the most shoving matches on the field are tai and shauna but nat talks the most shit just to rile the other team up lol. lottie also talks shit but in a real sassy way🙄

• jackie loves sweet foods but her mom never lets her eat them so whenever her and shauna go to the mall they sneak to get the biggest ice cream sundae known to man and share it :]

• van used to hold movie nights (at tai’s house) for the team and misty came once but she ate way too many skittles and threw up on the carpet and she wasn’t invited again after that😭

• lottie was a school transfer and didn’t have many friends at first which is why she joined the yellowjackets. the coach was crazy impressed with her skill and jackie started out really jealous and everyone was like ohhh we have a rivalry brewing!!! but jackie quickly came around and she was actually the one who started calling her lottie instead of charlotte

• van & nat were best friends as kids and lived in the same trailer park but when they were 14 vans mom moved to an apt and the two of them stopped hanging out and talking as much but they still have a bond with each other

• van and nat love the movie my cousin vinny and they still quote it all the time

• jackie was a HUGE fan of mia hamm and used to have a poster of her in her room but her mom got mad at her saying it wasn’t ladylike so jackie gave it to shauna but it’s been lying around shauna’s room ever since :[

• misty’s parents are rich doctors or something who are never home so she spends all her time either making super over the top collages of celebrity men or making a diary where she writes about literally everything and cuts out her yearbook and draws hearts around the boy she has a crush on. OR she’s up to some heinous shit researching crazy stuff. i just know she’s wayyyy too into serial killer info. and she’s prob dissected a frog or two in her time

• tai was the only one who was still able to enjoy soccer after the rescue. but i think van would’ve tried and maybe she still casually watched the uswnt until the 99’ers retired but after that she stopped watching.

• a lot of them turned vegetarian after they got rescued. i feel like nat’s vegetarian which is why she reacts like REALLY🙄 to misty when she eats beef jerky in s1 lol. lottie is absolutely vegan

• i like the hc people have that shauna’s jewish. jackie’s christian and she tries her best to celebrate shauna’s religious holidays w her but she always gets shit wrong but it’s the thought that counts right? nats definitely catholic but doesnt gaf

• lottie has a pet cat that she literally adores because it’s all she has to keep her company in her giant house cause her dad tells her not to talk to the maids :/

• nat can’t afford to buy her own guitar but kevyn lets her borrow his and he’s in the middle of teaching her how to play during the time she qualifies for nationals so the only song she knows how to play is come as you are by nirvana

• opposing teams HATE yj set pieces cause nat takes corners for the right side and tai and lottie are tall as fuck so they convert from corners a lottt >:)

• when shit got bad with nat or van’s family when they were younger they’d sneak out of their trailer windows and meet at a specific spot just to hang out and they’d talk all night or nat listens to her walkman and watches van practice tricks on her shitty beat up skateboard

• one time in the locker room nat’s putting a tape into her walkman and shauna notices and brings it up and they start chatting a little about their similar music taste for a minute until jackie appears and sweeps shauna away and nat’s just left there with her eyebrows raised cause she didn’t realize shauna was actually cool like that. LOL

• one day it was raining like crazy during practice and the field was muddy as fuck and tai accidentally slipped and got covered in mud. van’s crying laughing cause tai’s pissed about it until she slips and falls into the mud too. she ends up throwing some at the other girls for laughing at her and jackie gets hit and she’s like “oh so that’s how it’s gonna be huh?” and the next second everyone’s soaked and muddy and laughing and they all have to trudge back to the locker room afterwards and when they walk past coach scott he’s just shaking his head smiling

🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Hmm probably how quickly Earth would be incinerated if the sun died and how much time humans would potentially have if we had a warning system based on (insert science i learned and then forgot). It wasn't a lot y'all. Like minutes.

❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best? 

That is so hard. Like, I'm writing most of my dream theme/plots already bc I'm of the firm belief that you should create what you want to see, ya know? But, if I had to choose, I'd say I have this idea for kacchako cyberpunk au with heart-of-gold thief Ochako running from augmented cop Katsuki until she ultimately converts him to her cause and they work together to make things right. I've had it for years but it feels completely out of my comfort zone, and I think if I had to choose someone to write it, I'd choose @cslong09 because the theme of my idea is humanity and what it means + capitalism destroys it, paired with the oversaturation of tech in society. I know she would hit those nails right on the head with all the feels I'm picturing and I can imagine the story in her style of writing perfectly.

House stuff.

When I was doing my chemo, radiation, and surgery the housework really suffered. I didn't have the energy, and at several points it would have been dangerous to have someone to come in and do it. When your treatment is whacking your immune system, and you get sick, it's always more serious. I'm doing a lot better, but it has its ups and downs. My kitchen and bathroom are finally cleaned to my satisfaction, and I am going to take a crack at cleaning the rugs today.

I've been concentrating on the big Out - getting rid of stuff that I don't want to die with in my house. Yes, I am still in remission, but remission is fragile. I want to have things neat and tidy, and good to go in case I need to go back into treatment. I'm not being a pessimist, I'm being a realist. I understand the power of positive thinking, but I also understand that if 20 people were in a room together, and had the type and stage of cancer that I was diagnosed with, only three of us would survive. It's a point I have to make over and over to some people, and I can't even tell you how tired I am of making it.

Sorry, I needed a little rant.

Yesterday was a lot of errands. I had to go pick up my meds for the month, go to the bank, stop at FedEx Office, and then run at Ace Hardware. It was a very long and tiring run, but my Uber driver was super cool. He even went into the hardware store with me.

My building is going back to covid protocols, we have had a lot of sickness in the complex. And I had covid back at the beginning of July. Apparently, there is a new strain to be concerned about. It was the same at the hospital with people being met at the elevators with masks and hand sanitizer. I did find the wrench that I needed, and the part to fix my sink. Our building super is currently hospitalized, and they are trying as much as possible to avoid spreading anything further through the tenants.

Even though my white count is better, it is still in the lowest range of normal. I'm really not up for the risk.

Otherwise, I did order a new steam mop after my old one died, and I really have to say that Bissell makes one hell of a product. Most cleaners just put layer after layer of crap on your floor. That's why when you've been in a place for a while your floors are sticky. I have always used a steam mop ever since they came out. I think this is the best one I've ever had.

I am strong enough now to lift a 4 gallon stock pot, and can easily empty the dehumidifiers. I can do the stairs three times per day, but it's very tiring. Tai chi and resistance bands do help. The lymphedema in my right leg comes and goes, and seems to respond to some kind of inflammation going on. Friday and Saturday were very painful for me, and I had two huge patches of psoriasis. 🐝🐝 Turned me on to using zinc oxide powder, and it makes one hell of a difference in a very short time. I applied it to my hands and the swelling is down a lot today. I think I will mix it into a scalp mask and let it sit while I have my Sunday bubble bath.

[ mai tai ]  : personally I see her as really wanting something to do with flight 🤔 she's so unused to staying in one place at a time, always naturally being a free spirit . i think she'd probably choose flight via wings specifically, as i could see her with wings on her back !

[ caipirinha ] : on like, most levels ? nothing . she is fine with herself as she is adores herself even . she's spent so long with just herself as company that she kind of had no other way but to become so completely accepting and understanding of her own self that she'd never change anything

there's a part of her, though, that regrets not being a cultivator, so i think she'd change that ; if she could go back in time and ask Daozhang, or any number of the cultivators who'd offered it before, to teach her about it, she'd jump at the chance . maybe things could've been different if she were . not that any of us could know for sure, though

Cooking, a skill and an art that Hyunshik did not master but admired greatly, especially when Tai was the one in charge. While in his day-to-day life, the older of the two sought to maintain control of his business, once he entered the kitchen, the other man could have his way with Hyunshik.

He might have gone a bit overboard with the purchase of ingredients, or rather, decorations for the gingerbread house, but it was the first time they were making one, and it didn't hurt to have options. The large island in the center of the kitchen transformed into a construction stage, with the main pieces already out of the oven and cooled for use.

Hyunshik rolled up his sleeves and washed his hands again before standing next to Tai. Assembling the house became a teamwork affair, and despite the little mishaps, he was having fun. "Do you want to use these chocolates to build a fence around the house?" he asked, snapping a piece to try. "Mm! This is really good," he said, delighted, offering a piece to Tai. Since he rarely indulged in sweets, the chocolate was a delightful surprise. "Good, right? Let me taste it again," he smiled, leaning in to kiss Tai's lips deeply. "Even better," he whispered, just an inch away from him.
