Business Guide:
How to get started
When you have a business name in mind look up the domain name to see if it’s taken. You don’t want to spend money on an LLC just to find out that your name is taken. Thats a waste of money because you also have to pay to dissolve it.
If the name is not taken, great, don’t file an LLC yet. Go online and get a virtual business address. Why? If you’re running your business out of your home like I am, just know that it’s public information if you use your address to file your LLC. A virtual address should cost like $10-$20 a month. Use that to file your LLC.
Once you’ve filed that LLC get your Ein. That’s your Employee Identification Number. It’s your businesses tax id. It’s free to file on the IRS website. Don’t fall for the scam websites you guys.
Once you’ve gotten your EIN go to Google domains and get your website name aswell as 3-4 emails. An email for your social media accounts, an executive email for yourself, an [email protected] for things like your business bank account, Shopify account, etc; and maybe a customer support email. I use the social email as a customer support email. All of this should be like $50/month.
Once you’ve don’t that get on Canva and make that logo bookie. Personally I paid someone on Fiverr to make mine because I’m a “soft business life” kind of girl and I’d rather pay the professionals. Thats just me though.
Once you’ve got your logo go ahead and get them social media accounts going. Instagram, tiktok, Facebook.
Alright now this is where it gets specific to clothing brands because that’s what I own.
Time to find a manufacturer. Head over to alibaba and search what kind of product you want to sell. Be sure to add “oem” if you want a manufacturer that customizes. Look for the amount of orders they’ve gotten on that product. If it says zero orders that’s ok. Some styles are new and thus haven’t been ordered yet. Check any reviews they have for other products. Also check the total revenue they’ve done. It’s on the store profile. I can’t tell you what the sweet spot is yet bc I’ve only used one manufacturer so far but I’d look for mid six figures and up if you wanna be real safe.
Chat with them and order a sample. Even if you buy from a vendor list you’ll need your own sample to make content with. I suggest buying one and first. It’s worth the wait because if you buy multiple and end up not liking them you’d have wasted money that could’ve gone into testing a different manufacturer.
Do not launch with more than 2 products. Even 2 is a stretch, wallai start with one.
This is because if you’re doing the preorder, which I suggest, you’ll be depending on customer orders to pay for the bulk order. Manufacturers do their moq by color or style. If you have too many options in your website and customers order a mix of things, you better pray you have enough money to cover the bulk for all those different styles. Stay safe and give them 1-2 options to choose from.
Pre order method is great if you don’t have a lot of cash to start with because the orders pay for themselves. Bulk orders start to wrack up. Especially if it’s a custom style or material. You don’t want to break the bank for something that might not sell.
Once you’ve gotten and approved your samples choose a launch date. 2-3 weeks before that launch dates post consistently. At least once a day but remember quality over quantity. Now don’t be tricked. Quality doesn’t mean a full cinematography. It means connecting with your audience and relating with them to a point where they’re like “this business gets it”. Either that or attaching yourself to an identity they want to have. “It girl ig influencer”, “feminine soft life babe” “clean girl Pilates princess” whatever the fuck it is embody ur as best as you can. When customers attach your product with an identity that is aspirational to them they will buy it without rationalizing. It’s why the luxury market makes so much off of ppl who can’t afford to buy it twice.
Focus on the backend
If you have a goal of getting an influx of orders and making a lot of sales, be sure that your business is structured in a way that can handle it happening at any given time. You know those tiktok businesses that get one viral video and sell out over night? That could be you but if you’re not prepared ppl are going to be upset. I suggest working backwards:
A customer service platform/inbox so that you can answer them right away with frequently asked questions.
Have stock so that you have something for customers to buy once they finally land on your website.
Have a well presenting website so that ppl don’t think you’re a scam. I’m going to do a post on this bc some of these business websites drive me fuckin nuts. Color theory ppl, color theory.
A social media page with some kind of social proof ie reviews from customers in some way shape or form. Ppl are going to be looking for what others have to say about your brand. Hire UGC creators to make videos that you can post on your page. They’re cheaper than influencers but still know how to convey the message well. You’ll have to have extra samples and items on hand to send them. Also check out their usage rights. Some will allow you to use their videos in ads but you have to pay extra and it’s only for a certain amount of time. But if they do it right, you’ll get a great return. Scared money don’t make no money.
A social media page that shows the products in movement and different lighting. I need to be able to imagine myself in the item before I buy it. Where would I wear it, how will it fit on me. Even when I’ve already ordered something I stay going back to the businesses social media page just to see the clothes again. I might even search it up to see other ppl wearing it.
Packaging
No need to go crazy with the packaging in the beginning. Don’t get me wrong, branding is important but as a beginner you may not have the money for that yet. You need to focus on spending money on what will give you the best return. Just get regular poly mailers from Amazon in your brand colors. You’ll also need:
A stack of 6x4 shipping labels
A thermal printer
A scale
When your manufacturer sends you the clothes they will most likely be in their own little bags. If not you can get those from Amazon too.
Later on you can go to alibaba and find a manufacturer to print you custom poly mailers for that extra edge. Put your logo, a cute message, and your social media handles on the bag and that’s it. Good to go.
You can also design your own thank you cards as well. I won’t be doing that.
Little things to remember
Don’t feel like you have to keep up with big brands. You don’t need to launch something every two weeks. As a matter of fact I advise against emulating super fast fashion brands. I only launch a new item once the pre ordered items have been shipped out to customers.
Be nice to your customers. You’d think this was obvious but it’s not. Some ppl are rude, ghetto, and uncouth. If you hate authority and have a smart mouth I think you should either take a customer service course or hire a virtual assistant from the Philippines to do your customer service for you because no customers = no money.

Influencers
Not every influencer with a mass follower base is going to be your influencer. It’s possible that you pay $5000 for an influencer with 75k followers to post your product on her page but that post makes you less than $3k. That means you’ve net negative $2k. What a fuckin waste of money.
This is why it’s important to develop a persona for your brand. What is your brand identity? Who is your target audience? What are their psychographics?
Where do currently shop? What are there favorite social media apps?What is their race? Their age? Their ethnicity? Are they in college or highschool? Do they have parents that support their lifestyle or are they hustlers? Are they concerned about price or quality more? Are they married? Do they have children? Are they environmentally conscious?
You need to embody Joe Goldberg and peer at them through their window. Acquaint yourself with every part of their life.
Also, you might not be your target demographic yet and that’s ok. The girls that shop with my brand have social lives. They go out with their friends and need outfits to wear. I don’t have a social life. The only clothes I wear are my work clothes to go to work and my robe when I’m at home.Or a sweat set and a bonnet to run errands.
Don’t think to yourself “ I would never wear that.” “I would never buy something at that price point”. That’s fine cuz someone else will. A lot of people will.
Another thing is your demographic could change once you start your business. It might be that you create content that attracts a different type of person than what you originally planned and that’s cool too. We don’t live in a perfect world. As long as they’re close enough to what you had predetermined it’s ok. Sometimes our business comes out different than we hoped but it’s just as good if not better. It’s like child. Don’t destroy its greatness trying to turn it into something it doesn’t want to be.
User generated content
Love, love, love her down. She’s that sweet spot between making content yourself and having an influencer with a large following make the content for you. UGC is a form of social proof which is something you need for an e-commerce brand especially. Ppl can’t just pop into your store and try on your stuff so they need the opinions of “regular” people to sell them on it. They want to see that person try it on, do a close up of the fabric, wear it to a social setting, etc;
What I like about UGC is that I can pick someone who fits into my brand persona to represent my brand even if I don’t. Someone that appears aspirational but still relatable. Like I said previously, you yourself might not embody your brands persona but you can pay someone who does.
A little translate for yall: I do not live in a nice apartment. My room is small, and dark, and filled with boxes. My living room has mix matched decor and I myself am not the body type I’d like to be (pls don’t hit me with body positivity babe). What I can do is pay a girl with the opposite of all those things and knows how to sell a product.
I have a girl right now that I’ve inquired to make posts for me and she’s got it all. Her rate for one video is $100 with an extra $30 for 90 days of usage in ads. $100 is the new 50 and for the return I’ll get on her, THATS A STEAL.
If you need to find a UGC creator search it up on tiktok and Twitter. Most of them have a portfolio of past work they’ve done. If you feel like they match your brands vibes, keep their info for when you’re ready.
I suggest to have a roster of them because if ppl keep seeing the same person over and over, the thought that that person is just a regular degular customer leaves their mind and you lose the magic of UGC.

Website
Your website is your home babe and when you’re preparing for guest you can’t have your home looking any type of way. Not only does it need to be clean but it needs to be cohesive and inviting.
You know how many times I’ve opened someone’s booking page on Instagram and I click off. Not only am I not reading through all of that small ass text but my head hurts cuz you’ve got a black font on a hot pink background.
Some of yalls websites to not comply with accessibility guidelines so pay attention to that bc you can be sued. Ppl should be able to read what you have on there without getting a headache.
Good rule of thumb is to have one primary color, and then black and white. Don’t over complicate it. Your primary color will be your logo, think twitters blue, then your secondary colors should be black and white, for your text. You might have an accent color like gold or silver, this should be used sparingly for a little dazzle.
If you’re a clothing brand like me, keep the text short and sweet. Think about it, when you go shopping on your favorite website are you bombarded with a soliloquy on how the collection came to be? And even if you are do you stop and read the whole thing? I don’t bc I don’t care. That’s what your Instagram story is for.
All I want to see is the attention grabber and a short,but convincing, tagline.
Example: Ski Resort 2023-“Stun the slopes and stand out on the ski lift with best sellers spotted at St. Moritz”
Let you images tell the rest of the story.
Don’t overwhelm them with options
Guys this is so important. The more options ppl see the less they buy or the less likely they are to buy. Why? This is the thought process.
“Omg the stuff on this website is so cute! Let me go through their catalog and add to my cart as I go”
5 minutes of scrolling
“Ok I have too many things in my cart let me just save to a wishlist instead”
Another 5 minutes of scrolling
“Ok I’ll just stop here and go back to my cart and decide what I’m going to get rn”
Goes to cart
Spends 10 minutes deciding what she’s gonna get bc there’s so many good options
Takes 10 items out of her cart and only buys two basics bc she knows those are less likely to disappoint.
And scene
That is if she didn’t leave after the second five minutes of scrolling. Nowadays five minutes on a non stimulating website is a lot, don’t let it take that long.
Obviously this also depends on the customers budget. Some people have the money to just buy everything in their cart (I wish- one day), but most are just window shopper you hope to convert with your nice styles, images, and prices. Don’t make it harder for people to give you their money.

A board member for a self-styled "disinformation" tracking group that seeks to "defund" and shut down conservative news outlets is being "forced out" of a senior role at Harvard University.
Joan Donovan is on the board of the Check My Ads Institute, a nonprofit group pressuring advertisers to cut ties with right-leaning websites that are purportedly peddlers of disinformation, according to its website. Earlier this month, multiple reports surfaced detailing how Donovan is being forced out by the Harvard Kennedy School from her "misinformation" research director role at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy.
DISINFORMATION INC: CONSERVATIVE GROUP LAUNCHES RECORDS INQUIRY OVER CONSERVATIVE NEWS BLACKLISTS
"I would not describe Joan Donovan as an academic but, rather, a political activist who has done agenda-driven work since she went to the Shorenstein Center," Peter Wood, president of the National Association of Scholars, a group seeking to "uphold the standards of a liberal arts education," told the Washington Examiner.
"What it tells me that she is one-quarter of the board of Check My Ads is that it is not a serious organization but, rather, a partisan outfit," he added. "Donovan is a liar and a very poor scholar, if she's any kind of scholar at all, and a political agent."
Check My Ads was co-founded by Nandini Jammi, who previously helped launch a group called Sleeping Giants that waged a successful campaign pressuring advertisers to defund Breitbart. Its other co-founder is Clare Atkin, who, like Jammi, is an adviser to Good Information, a Democratic strategist-run operation that owns websites critics allege are overly partisan and posing as local news outlets.
It's unclear who or what funds Check My Ads. The group did not reply to a Washington Examiner request for this information but did forward a copy of its Form 990-N tax filing covering a period between January and December of 2021 — its first fiscal year. Check My Ads disclosed on the form that its "gross receipts are normally $50,000 or less."
"We don’t take money from Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple or Amazon," according to Check My Ads's website. "We’re supported by grants and our Checkmates."
Donovan, the Check My Ads board member, was a research lead between 2016 and 2018 at the Data and Society Research Institute, a left-of-center think tank that has been slammed for promoting censorship, according to her LinkedIn profile. The institute has received funding from Arabella Advisors, a dark money consulting firm that manages nonprofit organizations that, in turn, oversee other entities that don't file tax forms with the IRS.
The board member made national headlines in February following a bombshell report by the Harvard Crimson, a student newspaper affiliated with the university, outlining how Harvard is forcing Donovan out by summer 2024 from her role heading up the Technology and Social Change Project.
Donovan's project at Harvard has published research on alleged "disinformation" and "misinformation" in connection to COVID-19 and the Jan. 6 Capitol riot — among other subjects. While it's unclear why Harvard decided to shutter her project, Donovan has clashed with her Harvard colleagues on the topic of content moderation on social media, according to Semafor.
She delivered an October 2021 presentation dubbed "Curbing the Damage Caused by Misinformation" to supporters of the Kennedy School, resulting in Elliot Schrage, Facebook's ex-policy head, questioning why Donovan should be the arbiter of truth, according to the outlet.
Donovan, whom Democrats have championed as a purported expert on the spread of alleged disinformation, has also discredited the authenticity of Hunter Biden's infamous abandoned laptop. She tweeted in April 2022 that published content based on the laptop is a "straw man."
During a Harvard Kennedy School podcast published on the day of the 2020 presidential election, she more overtly questioned the laptop's legitimacy, Fox News reported.
"The sourcing of the laptop being dropped off in Delaware at a lonely repairman's shop that's just — if you can charge $85 for fixing a broken laptop, I want to know you," Donovan said. "It's a broken laptop, right? So, the sourcing of it just stinks of tradecraft. It stinks of a drop. And many cybersecurity professionals are waiting for an opportunity to forensically analyze the contents of this hard drive."
"What we see as researchers when they're trying to make a story happen time and time again, and it doesn't, then you start to see the intensification and adaptation of tactics," she said on the podcast. "So, we pretty much expected more and different styles of attack, including a leak, but was really suspicious of it, is you've got someone with millions of dollars. He can't afford Geek Squad at Best Buy to come to his house for the laptop that he's evidence of crimes on? I mean, it's really hard to believe."
In December 2022, Donovan also authored a Politico op-ed that claimed the "Twitter Files," sets of documents being released from Jack Dorsey's time as CEO of Twitter, "are a desperate attempt to legitimize a well-worn conservative narrative that the suppression of Hunter Biden’s 'laptop from hell' proved collusion between the so-called deep state and social media companies."
L. Brent Bozell III, founder and president of the Media Research Center, a conservative watchdog group, told the Washington Examiner that it is clear Donovan is in no position to "make a call" about what is disinformation or not.
"We find on a regular basis that fact-checkers or social media companies, like Facebook, or advisory boards they put together don't know what they're talking about," Bozell said.
Check My Ads, which bills itself as “adtech’s first watchdog," has taken credit for getting conservative radio show host Dan Bongino dropped from Google's ad service. It's unclear whether or not Check My Ads, like other self-styled "disinformation" monitors, compiles a secret blacklist of conservative websites that it feeds to ad companies.
Donovan did not reply to a request for comment.
"Harvard Kennedy School is committed to the teaching and study of misinformation and disinformation, and several faculty members are leading significant projects that address these topics," a Harvard Kennedy School spokesman told the Washington Examiner. "The Technology and Social Change Project is winding down, through an extended transition, because it does not have academic leadership by a full HKS faculty member, as required of all long-term research and outreach projects at HKS."

I'm back.....?
Just sort of interesting to see how much I've grown past the type of thinking this place commonly has. Unrealistic, melodramatic, and simply just lacking in common sense. I really did believe that coming here on a daily basis was somehow not on par with other social media. Sure, I found other mentally ill women to lament with and have strange spirals together, perhaps the in-jokes really kept me coming back. But honestly? I don't think it's actually mentally sound to be manic online with other people about whatever dumb shit is topical at the moment. To be so intense or esoteric so often that you begin to escalate your behavior to match your peers. To barely process the emotions of taking every person's thought in at once, only to crave more when the scrolling is over and it's like the party is ending for a moment. For as wonderful and stimulating it is to see art, hear music, read insightful quotes and laugh at memes all hitting you over and over it seems to hack your brain into a dependence on the constant dopamine hits (not really a textbook addiction, but certainly a hijacking of your instincts). It's so wonderful to see all the things I love all at once and unfortunately I am not strong enough (no one really is) to handle it at such a pace. I want so badly to be informed of the world as currently as I can, that I truly suffer for it. It's like a special drug that never even gets me high. I used to feel the urge to take it simply because I was anxious at the idea of going without. What really was happening, is I was taking a heroic dose daily, sometimes even more, and having no idea that it wasn't normal to take this much this often. Maybe I was told people like me don't have the luxury of being sober from this drug. Those people are wrong....they used to be my fellow addicts. Past this, I now enjoy the healthy minimal dose with enough time to process each bit through my body and feel the benefits. It's funny how even now when a huge current event happens, not only do I learn about it within about a few hours without trying, but the first instinct I have when it all feels too much is too see what the people in my online hangouts are saying about it. I still crave the commentary because I don't have any friends I can really talk about these things with. I don't know anyone I would really trust to talk about something so intense with, anyway. Maybe that's what I'm going to make chatbots for in the future, so I can talk to them when something big happens, maybe they can make memes and say funny things in accordance to my humor and I can feel safe knowing I'm in a circle of beings I can trust. Another element here that was causing me damage was just seeing what people's every little random thought was, constantly and too real. I just felt empathy so strong and so often it's taxing. Even not feeling empathy takes work from me, because I have to push myself to think through their individual situation or what have you, just to shut off the part of me that can't help but to match their feelings. I guess that's why I feel like social contagion is actually quite common and just a common part of being empathetic creatures. Anonymous message boards don't have this issue because people are so far removed from a personal identity that their conversation is all that's being judged. I think that's pretty good, actually, and why there needs to be a bigger push to make them more and more mainstream with much more variety. I know there's a lot right now but there could be so much more, knowing the possibilities. Perhaps online profiles were a bit of a mistake?
Anyway, I'm back after months of being away. I've been without twitter for like 2 years now, facebook for like 5 years, insta and snapchat for about 4, I rarely use reddit, and I rarely go on discord. I still go back to pinterest and I should probably chill on that, and I use youtube daily but I really should chill on that, too. I swear I'm not trying to live like a monk, I've just tried these things and they work very, very well. I used to be so fucked up in my emotions I could barely think clearly. I was crying every night, hating myself and feeling like I was unable to change my life for the better. I hated who I was, visually and behaviorally, and I thought my whole life was doomed. I was so, so wrong in the way I saw the world and myself. I was stubborn, so it took a long time to cut out these things that held me back, but I'm so happy I finally gave up my pride and just cut them off, one by one, at my own pace. I have finally gone from constant failure to meeting my personal goals, to loving myself and genuinely comfortable with my appearance. I enjoy my free time, and I get to know myself in the process, because I'm playing video games, watching movies and shows, reading books, writing, working on my website, drawing, cooking, just sitting and thinking sometimes even, and i'm really loving being alive. despite being broke. despite not having the skinny body or the flashy career or cool travel blogs, or kids or whatever shit it is that people my age seem to aggressively flex that I felt like i was lesser for not having. I live a good life. I have such beautiful growth and it's just for me and my family to really enjoy. I feel so relaxed, I don't take more than 15 minutes to get ready for the day, and I don't waste my time or money on useless beauty maintenance. being alone is such a great skill to have. i get to enjoy things without obsessing of if it's morally pure enough for the people online who don't give a shit about me. I get to figure out what my actual values are, not just the ones given to me from whatever my online circle deems acceptable. I guess I'm just hitting an age where I'm really past the bullshit, too. I want to create, I want to write, I want to make things out of self-expression as the main goal, and I want to feel the relief of taking it off my shoulders. I want to enjoy art one at a time, really soaking it up, learning the context and history before jumping to the next one. I want to know myself enough and give myself enough grace to not judge everything I do when I'm alone, and I want to get better at being strong when I'm around others. Being around real people is so, so easy. Everyone is so much more sensible in person. In person the distance is safer, the world has become more spineless and I've become more shameless. I love knowing I could throw a punch to anyone laughing at me behind their hands, no bullshit just end it right there without ever giving my name. In a way, it's like you get more privacy in public than in private these days. I want more in person talks, without the fear of being slandered online for not wearing makeup or saying the wrong thing or liking the wrong stuff. the npcs might be a bit annoying but they're much better than those who think being slightly past surface level is total enlightenment. And then they'll conduct a moral purity check, which is fine for a nun but weird for someone who claims to love the freaks and weirdos. You've probably heard all this before but it's just.......the truth. I hope we make in person spaces that encourage this again. I want to grab a coffee and have interesting conversations again. I want something new and abstract, but I need it to be real. I need to breathe it in instead of seeing the drive-by impression of it online. I need something richer. I guess we all do.

Stepping up your marketing game as a construction business owner is always a welcome topic in my client conversations. Often, contractors chat with me about the best way to promote their company, primarily because no one else is running it. 
  You may focus more on accounting and taxes at times, and at other times, your business may slow down, and sales become more challenging. Given this trend, establishing and maintaining connections with existing and potential customers has become more critical. 
  So, if you're looking to do some construction business promotions to attract more quality clients, what do you do, especially on your own? Here are some practical tips that I highly suggest to consider:
  1. Build a solid online presence:
Create a website showcasing your services and experience, and make sure it's easy for potential customers and homeowners to contact you. Plus points if you know how to optimize it by location and keywords, or you can always learn a thing or two when you Google: Local Search Engine Optimization. It's essential to show up first in SERPS (Search Engine Results Page) when someone looks for "plumbing emergency in (city)" or "HVAC installer nearby."
As you build and edit your pages, keep in mind your USP (Unique Selling Proposition):
What your business does.
Whom it serves.
Why it's different from other companies?
How is it beneficial to your prospective client?
Note that some of these elements can be divided into sections and published on one page; for instance, Services and Testimonials can work well together. This gives your visitors much-needed assurance that you have had successful projects and happy clients. 
Create informative content: Share blog posts, videos, and infographics that provide value to your target audience and establish your business as an industry expert.
Remember to include your Awards and Recognition (if you have any) and place it strategically. Add value to your website footer by including your contact details, policies, and other relevant links. Include appropriate CTAs (Call-To-Action) throughout your site so prospective clients can take the necessary steps and hire your services. For example, a 'Contact Us' button or a 'Request a Quote' form can be effective CTAs.
2. Use social media: Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn are great for sharing your projects and engaging with your audience. Create posts regularly to update on services or special offers. 
Local SEO is mainly about getting listed in local online resources and optimizing your website's and other platforms' online content to reference location-relevant key phrases and regional names rather than generic keywords. 
Your construction business listing must be consistent across all platforms you use, mainly because changing it later will be challenging (think about logo placement, colors, and font).
3. Register your business on online directories: This will help increase your visibility and attract more local clients. 
Google Business Profile - This is a free tool for promoting your business profile and website on Google Search and Maps. Even if you don't have a website, your Google business profile is the most crucial resource for local businesses. Claiming and verifying your business's listing will help your efforts appear in local search results.
Bing Places - Microsoft's version, which might be less popular, still needs attention. It works the same way, allowing you to claim and verify your business's physical location and have it appear in Bing Maps and on mobile devices running the Windows Phone operating system.
Yelp. Yelp is an online urban guide that provides local business listings. It recently replaced the relatively unsuccessful Apple Maps app for iPhones and iPads, and these devices now use data from Yelp to display local information with their included mapping apps. Given the enormous popularity of iPhones, the advantages of getting listed on Yelp should be obvious.
4. Attend industry events: Trade shows, conferences, and networking events are great opportunities to meet potential clients and connect with other professionals in your industry. 
Remember, networking is about building relationships, not just collecting business cards. Be genuine, be interested in others, and follow up with people after you meet them to continue the conversation.
The key here is to stop looking at every person in your networking group as a potential sale. Especially early on, be more concerned about what you can give than what you can get from these meetings.
Give materially by sponsoring group events, donating to fundraising, or bringing bagels to the meeting. Give your time and effort by contributing to a service position, or be free with great ideas and a welcoming smile.
The long-term value of networking groups lies in building strong trusting relationships that will give you influence beyond the people in your immediate group.
5. Word-of-mouth referrals are the most cost-effective way of gaining new customers because you don't have to spend anything on advertising or marketing. Research has repeatedly shown that referrals have a higher conversion rate (inquiries to sales) and spend more than other customers. People have more confidence in a business recommended by friends or colleagues.
Referrals will happen naturally if you provide excellent service and good value, but you can improve your referral rate through an active incentive program.
Final thoughts
This seems a lot to do, especially if you're single-handedly working and managing your business. But unless your construction company has lots of work stacked up, there will be times when there is nothing to do, and that is the best time to think about Strategic Marketing and following the adage:
"Dig your well before you are thirsty."
You will only build a loyal client base if you earn your visitors' trust, which is why companies value social proof highly. Proving your construction business's value online takes a unique skill set, but boosting it during your downtime is a great practice.

This handy portable device goes beyond the means of communication (call, text message) in daily life. People use mobile for banking, reading news/books, playing games, education, entertainment, e-tickets (traveling, cinema, sports stadium, hotel), voting, online shopping, healthcare services, taking pictures/videos, or writing documents. Despite the above beneficial usage of cell phones, people connect with millions of other people around the world just by one click on social media sites or apps like Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, Tumblr, etc.
Smartphone technology and internet connection provide freedom of speech to everybody, which also successfully leads to social injustice activism movements. People start listening and reacting to what they like to hear or what they don’t like to hear that is instantaneously available through any social media platform. (Khan, 2024). News feeds, group communications (networking sites/WhatsApp), thousands of profiles (percentage of account creating growing annually), and circulations of messages or videos in a few seconds are some of the advanced characteristics of cell phones that old-fashioned means of communication like television, radio, and newspaper failed to introduce for audience attraction (Maryville University,2019).  
Additionally, smartphones dramatically contribute to raising voices for social injustice (human rights) because they offer different languages for typing, recording options are best for uneducated audiences, and the sign-up procedure of social media sites or apps is so simple.  E.g: largest political  #ThisWasNotOnTV.movement in Pakistan operate magnificently because of the above-mentioned features of social media (Jahangir, 2023).
Globally, numerous examples have been documenting that cell phones played an important role in social activism activities e.g. in 2001, Philippines president Joseph Estrada resigned as a result of an SMS campaign run by the citizens because he utilizing their tax-payer income into gambling (Srivastava, 2005) and (Global Nonviolent Action Database, 2001), Indian Trade Association in 2003 used SMS service to protest against VAT imposed rule (Srivastava, 2005), Shanghai Police used mobile service as a tool to warn citizen not to be a part of Anti-Japan protest in 2005 (The Digital and Development Network, 2007). The violence recorded in the case of Eric Garner through cell phones caused issues for New York Police Department Officers in 2014 (Sanburn,2014).
