nobody’s gonna check the comments of that one post I made so here’s a bit more rachel & tobias hcs of mine

also to elaborate on a small detail in that second part, I think he could definitely text her abt it, it’s just that she’s normally busy w college and Tobias doesn’t even want to risk his parents looking through his texts on his phone. he can delete the first chat they had about it after he found out, but it’s much harder to delete whole conversations (let alone what’d happen if they walked in to his room while he’s talking to her and was like “hey what’s goin on” yknow??)

so they only really talk abt it when rachel comes to visit, and I like to imagine they go get ice cream or smth and just talk for like an hour. and then go back home and their parents don’t question a thing

anyways for the parents themselves; harold is homophobic asf and nobody can change my mind. jackie, on the other hand, sorta is, as a result of being subjected to a lot of homophobia around her during her life. but I do think that, if they ever found out abt tobias being gay (most likely by way of him getting outed by his classmates (or alternatively with my tobias x gumball nonsense, someone finds out about it and word spreads quickly), at first Jackie would go along w her husband yelling at tobias (kicking him out because ANGST BELOVED) but again w my hcs I think rachel would find out and as soon as she could she’d go to her parents house and yell at them, then she’d come out as well (and have a better way of explaining why they’re homophobic pieces of shit), and since she’s already an adult and moved out they can’t do shit abt it.

at that point Harold is obviously pissed off but I like Jackie thinks abt it some more. im not sure if anything more comes of that tho, and is it does she likely won’t be vocal about it (what, with Harold now fuming and being disappointed in his kids)
