Unadulterated Crack Part 17

Pairing: Thorin Oakenshield x Reader

Word Count: 1,298

warnings: vague battle scenes (fight scenes are hard to write), big reveal, cheeky Thranduil, fluff, injury, mentions of pregnancy, mean prank

A/N: I’m going to have to rewrite the next chapter, I made Dain a complete asshole. Like not just any asshole, a racist misogynistic ass hole. And I don’t want that stress in my story yet.

     On the way to Ravenhill, you told Thorin that this is where you were supposed to change his fate. You informed him that it was a trap, and not to send his nephews into the ruins. He began to argue, but you grabbed his ear and snarled, “Listen to me for once in your life Thorin! I am trying to help you!” When you, Thorin, Fili, and Kili reached the ruins, you manifested explosives, and blew up the support columns of the building Azog was in. After the smoke cleared, you saw that one orc had made  it out of the ruble. Azog, had crawled out from under a slab of rock, covered in dust, and blood and was coughing heavily. You looked at Thorin, and said, “We all team up on him, and no matter what keep the fight off the ice!”

     In the battle Azog tried getting all of you on the ice and the line of Durin attempted to follow, but you snarled, “Remember what I said! Avoid the ice!” They listened.

    When Azog realized you were the one calling the shots he attacked you. You used this to guild him and the Durins away from the frozen rivers. Tauriel and Legolas joined you, as did Dwalin. And all together you managed to behead Azog. Thorin still sustained the injury to his forehead and nose. All of you limbed back to the mountain, most of the battle was over with

    . As you neared the entrance a troll popped out of no where, and struck you and Thorin with a club. You shielded your stomach to the best of your ability, but you flew back and your head smacked against a sharp rock when you landed. You heard Fili, Kili, and Dwalin shout in panic as darkness took you.

            You woke up when you heard some people talking. One voice said, “Do you know when she’ll wake up?”  it was strong, and soothing despite being filled with anxiety, and concern. You recognized it as Thorin’s voice.

     Another voice sighed, “It’s hard to tell, she has a head injury, it may be a few hours, or a few days, or weeks, or months, or years, or she may never wake up.” this voice was soft and mellifluous, and unfamiliar. You knew it was an elf though from the way she spoke.

     You opened your eyes to see Thorin laying in bed next to you with his ribs bandaged, and his face patched up. The elf noticed you first, she smiled and said, “ Or she’ll wake up now.”

      You had an evil idea to get revenge on Thorin for how he treated you while he had dragon sickness. You knew he was sick in the head at the time, but that still doesn’t excuse what he did. You sat up and croaked, “What happened?”

     “You took a nasty blow to the head and passed out, how are you feeling?” The Elf said.

     You sighed, “awfully sore, but alive.”

     The she elf replied, “Besides the head injury, you and the baby are fine.”

        Upon hearing this news you felt Thorin’s emotions raging, he was happy, ecstatic, and giddy. You chuckled, “Well that’s good you hear, I was worried about the little one.”

     Thorin’s emotions switched to confusion, and anger. He said, “You knew that you were pregnant?”

     You looked over at him, put on a confused expression, and asked, “Who are you?”

     A look of sheer pain and grief washed over Thorin, you made eye contact with the she-elf and grinned. She rolled her eyes and left quietly. Thorin buried his head in his hands,and after a minute you sighed, “Thorin, consider that pay back for how you treated me with under the dragon sickness.”

      He looked up at you and cried out in pain, you pulled him into your arms and stroked his hair.     After about thirty minutes he sat up and said, “How long?”

     “Excuse me?” You replied.

     He demanded, “Tell me how long you have known you were pregnant with my child!” angrily.

     You admitted, “about three months.”

     He groaned, “You’ve been dealing with this on your own since then, do you have any idea of how you may have effected the baby?”

     “Well that is not exactly true…” You say, Thorin gives you a questioning look, you continue, “Well, everyone in the company, but you and Gandalf knew about it, and were helping me.”

     Thorin growled, “Is that why they’ve been lurking around you and acting strangely?”

     You nodded your head, and said, “Oin was giving me herbs to reduce my morning sickness and other symptoms. Bombur has been cooking healthy meals for us, and Dwalin has been making sure that I was out of harms way. Gloin, and Ori have been making sure I am warm and comfortable, while everyone else helped out in any way they could.”

     Thorin asked, “Why did you not tell me first? Why am I the last one to learn of this, I am the father after all. I should have been the first one to know.”  getting angry.

    You shrugged, “I know, and I am sorry, but I had my reasons.”

     “Such as?” Thorin growled, as he glared at you. You explained what would have happened to him, Fili, and Kili had you not been there. He stared at you and snapped, “I still should have been the first to know!” But trailed off to a soft murmur, “However I am glad that you did not try and carry this burden alone. I am mainly just glad you two are safe.” rubbing his hand over your stomach.

      A moment later Thranduil walked in and said, “My chief healer just told me that you and the baby are alright, I am glad to hear that.”

     You felt Thorin’s glare boring into the side of your head as he hissed, “Even he knew before I did!”

      "Okay that one was not my fault,“ You defended, “He figured it out on his own, he used his weird Elvish intuition or something and just knew. I could do nothing to prevent that.”

      Thorin sighed, “Mahal, woman you really are going to be the death of me.”

      You looked at Thranduil, who was standing at the foot of the bed looking rather amused. You asked, “Can you go get me Gandalf, I believe he has something for me.”

     Thranduil said, “If you are talking about Thrain, then yes, however that old dwarf is currently being tended to. So it’ll have to wait.”

     You nodded your head and Thorin gasped, “my father! Gandalf found my Father!”

     “Yes, from what the wizard says, your pregnant queen blackmailed him some how.” Thranduil mused, “Which might I add is rather impressive, and has me curious.”

      You snorted, “Since he fulfilled his end of the bargain, I cannot tell you what I know, sorry to disappoint.”

     Thranduil chuckled, “That is a very eccentric woman you have there Dwarf King.” and strolled out of the room.

    After Thranduil left Thorin grumbled, “Normally that bastard will use any advantage he can get. Why did he not use the fact that you were pregnant against me while I was still under the dragon sickness?”

     “Uh, I may or may not have made an agreement with him.” You admitted, “He tried to get me to somehow get those starlight gems from you. However the thing is that I then threatened to throw them into the lake if he so much as uttered a word about it to anyone. We then agreed that I’d help with the negotiations over the necklace. I made it clear that I could not guarantee anything, and he still accepted.”

     Thorin sighed, “At least you did not specifically promise anything to him.” rubbing the bridge of his nose.
