taube alcantara headcanons

-he always needs to be DOING something. thankfully it’s mostly channeled into productive energy, like gardening or organising things for the church

-he’s the “carpe diem” of the pair

-sleeps for hours, regularly doesn’t wake up even through several alarms

-hopeless and sappy romantic. the kind of person to worship the ground their partner walks on

-golden retriever energy

-he is either very passionate about something or doesn’t care at all

-much too trusting and kind. solaris thinks that’s what got him killed, which is why he became the exact opposite

-only wears baggy clothes than engulf his entire body

-he does take his lineage seriously even when it appears he doesnt. he just thinks everyone could stand to lighten up about it. he says “after all, it’s a gift, not a curse!”

joseph hazel headcanons

-meditates daily. he probably would have attended apophyll if it had existed in his time

-the “carpe noctem” of the pair

-values modesty, humility and piety above all else

-he thinks he failed in raising elias, and, to some extent, feels responsible for team meteor

-black cat energy

-his hair is prematurely grey from all the stress that young elias and solaris put him under. not to mention taube’s accidental shenanigans

-helped modify the subseven sanctum. originally it was meant to be somewhere that worshippers of arceus could go to escape persecution centuries ago, but he helped make it somewhere people could go to connect with their faith away from the outside world

-raised elias as a single father

-was gifted the emerald brooch by taube as thanks for helping him all those years

Okay, I decided to retcon some lore about the Chroniclerverse.

Remember I said something about the Alcantara and Hazel families being “descendants”? Screw that. They’re now Aura Wielders, but of the modern variant. Because of that, I’m also retconning the lore about this variant, splitting them into two groups. One that’s actually descended from the ancient clans of the Reborn sect, and the other from the Protectors of Aevium.

The Alcantara and Hazel families belong to the former. Shortly after the Great War, approximately 3000 years before the events of Reborn, the gifts of the surviving Aura Wielders in the land that is now Reborn began to wane and diminish at an alarming rate. The root cause of the phenomenon remains a mystery to this day, though they were able to rectify this by forming pacts with a partner Pokemon instead of relying on the spiritual connection of their inner Pokemon. While it allowed them to retain some of their mystical gifts, they and their future descendants can no longer wield their same level of power their ancestors once possessed.

So here’s their updated profiles and their pact partners’ species: Taube - Fighting/Steel, Lucario Solaris - Ground/Dragon, Garchomp Elias - Flying/Dragon, Noivern Taka - Normal/Flying, Chatot Luna - Dark (formerly Normal), Umbreon Zina - Psychic/Ghost, Lunala Anna - Steel/Psychic, Jirachi Noel - Fairy, Xerneas

-his favourite songs are always musical theatre. in fact, his favourite art form is theatre, and he acts occasionally

-he owns a polaroid camera so he can document all his moments with his family

-his wife was cal’s great aunt! so taka and cal are distantly related

-he can’t play any instruments at all (it’s not for lack of trying it’s just not at all in his gift)

-he is (and always has been) super talented when it comes to writing though. his fairytale stories are actually what inspired titania’s gym

-despite his lack of musical talent, he adores listening to joseph play. he could listen to him for hours, and in fact, he does so by bothering joseph incessantly when he’s in his e4 room

-his favourite flower is a dandelion. he likes blowing them out

-if he was able to say one thing to solaris, it would be “i forgive you, my son”

-in contrast, joseph would look in horror at elias when solaris died and just whisper “what have you done?”

-when solaris formed team meteor, he left the organisation. he left his broken violin on taube’s grave

-he starts a new life over in ayrith. or… he tries to. he died alone, in the middle of nowhere

-he was the one who first stumbled upon taube’s body. it’s the image that haunts his nightmares

-he rarely gives praise. people say he’s a bad teacher because of it

-as opposed to taube, who thinks arceus’ words are less strict and open to interpretation, joseph follows the scriptures to the letter

-his favourite flower is a sunflower. they’re bright and delicate, like taube

-super doting father. definitely tried not to spoil his child, wanting him to have humility, but taube made sure phoenix knew he was loved every second of the day

-it’s very easy to make him cry. both for positive and negative reasons. joseph sometimes teases him about this

-he’s travelled pretty much all over the world! his favourite region was kalos

-he’s one of the most beloved people in the region. he tried his best to help every single person he came across, no matter their thoughts on arceus or him

-as such he can be a teensy bit pushy when it comes to helping people. he’s working on it

-he’s super sensitive when people are even a little mean to him, but he refuses to push back on it

-HOWEVER if anyone even TRIES to be mean to the people he loves he goes FERAL

-if you can’t tell, he’s way more chaotic and hopeless than he tries to appear to his parishioners and the people that come to him for help

joseph hazel headcanons

-an elite four member. almost never loses matches (except to taube. he allows himself to lose there)

-he was a much stricter parent than taube was, even though their children turned out very similarly

-specialises in ground, normal and fire types

-refuses to joke around with anyone except for taube. he’s very serious, both to strangers and those he knows well, but he slightly lets his hair down around taube

-he’s a few years older than taube, and tried to preserve his innocence

-he writes poetry

-his signature pokémon is a hisuian arcanine

-he homeschooled both solaris and elias, and his punishments were things like writing lines. taube’s carefree personality made teaching solaris discipline hard for him

-him and taube’s dynamic is

joseph: “i think we have to kill this guy master alcantara”

taube: “damn…”

Solaris Alcantara Headcanons

-much like elias, he didn’t genuinely love taka’s mother. she was a convenience more than anything, and passed when taka was very young

-he does actually live in the reshiram route. the team meteor agent helps revive him, though it doesn’t mean his body is okay moving forward

-in the reshiram route post game, he’s placed under strict house arrest by adrienn (hence why we never see him). xe knew he’d probably be killed in prison so this was the best option.

-since they couldn’t use the sanctum, solaris is placed in a house somewhere off of ametrine city. there’s no way he can escape because of the harsh mountain conditions

-elias lives with him there. the two may not really like each other sometimes, but they definitely love each other… in their own strange way

ok back to headcanons which which could actually be reasonably plausible lol

-solaris was a little like terra in his youth (not as bad obviously). he would pick up slang from his adventures into the city and torment elias with it

-he adored his name. it was painful to get rid of it, and it represented him killing the man he once was

-he was very selfless in his youth and idolised his father, wanting to be just like him

-one of the only things he has left of his father is taube’s old guitar. he learned to play it in the post game

-he regrets what he did with team meteor, but only so far as letting lin join. he still wishes they had succeeded in bringing back the old world

-in the post game, he takes back the name phoenix. solaris is dead. and phoenix will rise once again from the ashes
