Once, I had a client who was 46 years old. He didn’t have a single tattoo, but he knew exactly what he wanted. Before coming to me, he had contacted a few other studios, but he didn’t like the way they communicated with him. At that time, I was just a tattoo artist with 10 years of experience, working from home. I had set up a studio on the second floor. Maybe it wasn’t a professional tattoo studio, but it was a very cozy art space. There, I not only tattooed but also painted my own artworks.
This man came to me for a consultation. I always invite new clients who have never been to me before to visit, to see if they like the environment and feel ready to entrust me with their body for tattooing. When he arrived, we quickly bonded, and I gave him his first tattoo—or rather, a few tattoos. One was on his chest, which I’ve shared as one of the first photos in this blog, and the other was the eye tattoo you see here.
The man was an athlete, an ultrarunner who ran 100-kilometer distances in the mountains. He mentioned how physically exhausted he would feel from such endeavors. However, he was profoundly surprised by how he felt after getting those two tattoos. He realized that tattooing isn’t just about drawing on the skin. The amount of energy the process initially took from him, and how he felt afterward, made him understand that something significant had changed. He felt he had gained a new aura, which has now become a part of him.

This tattoo is a vibrant and visually striking piece that incorporates several elements:
1. Tiger: The central figure is a tiger, a powerful and majestic animal often associated with strength, courage, and ferocity. The realistic portrayal of the tiger's features, including its piercing eyes and detailed fur, adds to its impact.
2. Jungle Setting: The tiger is surrounded by lush foliage, creating a sense of immersion in a tropical jungle. The inclusion of palm leaves adds to the exotic feel of the tattoo.
3. Sunset Landscape: In the background, there is a vibrant sunset scene with a lone tree silhouetted against the sky. This adds depth and dimension to the tattoo, creating a sense of atmosphere.
4. Color Palette: The tattoo uses a bold and colorful palette, with vibrant hues of orange, yellow, green, and blue. This creates a visually stunning and eye-catching design.
Overall, this tattoo is a well-executed piece that combines realism, symbolism, and vibrant color. It is a great example of how a tattoo can be used to express personal style and create a unique piece of body art.
The attention to detail in the tiger's features, the lush foliage, and the dramatic sunset scene all contribute to the overall impact of the tattoo. It is a testament to the skill and creativity of the tattoo artist.

Throughout my life, I’ve been creating and painting realism. However, over time, I began feeling drawn to a more graphic style, which led me to experiment more. I’ve always perceived tattooing as a form of body adornment. Yet, I noticed that I personally started to dislike fully shaded sleeves, legs, or entire backs and chests in a realistic style. When you create a single piece, it looks beautiful, but when everything is combined, the result often resembles chaotic clutter. From a distance, such tattoos tend to look like dirty smudges.
In recent years, I’ve done a lot of experimenting in tattooing, but initially, only a few people were interested in this particular style. After a few years, I noticed that this style was becoming more popular – people began to appreciate it, and many tattoo artists started attempting something similar. However, this style is very challenging. Drawing a long, thin line with no surrounding elements requires great responsibility – even the smallest mistake becomes immediately visible. Moreover, combining soft yet precise and detailed realism requires years of skill to ensure it holds up over time.
There was a period when I stopped tattooing altogether, but this year, life encouraged me to return to it. I’ve now purchased some silicone skin and plan to create a few projects that I will, of course, share later.
At the same time, I’d like to ask you: what tattoo styles do you like? How do you view tattooing in general? I understand it’s an art form, but sometimes you encounter artists who, unfortunately, don’t strive to improve – their work reveals mistakes, and their main goal often seems to be making money. So, what kind of tattoo artists do you choose? Do you look for responsible creators who craft something truly unique that enhances your appearance? Or is it more important for you just to get a tattoo, regardless of whether it’s done excellently or just average, as long as you’re satisfied with the final result, because you’re not an artist yourself and simply don’t pay attention to the details?
