laying down with jun/soonyoung/seokmin/mingyu on his bed and taking selfies using instagram for the filters until he drops his phone and accidentally clicks on the add to story button— you both screamed until one of you deletes it or turned off the wifi so it wouldn’t post but you guys knew how persistent your fans were, you didn’t know if deleting it was good enough. he would probably say, “should i just delete my account?”

when your group won an award at an award show, during your comment the camera briefly pointed at jeonghan/wonwoo/jihoon’s face which showed his sweetest and softest smile. that picture went viral the next hour. anon: “i want someone to look at me the way he looked at yn when they won an award.” / “he wouldn’t just look at them like that for no reason they have to know each other more deeply right!?.”

passing by the seventeen practice room where seungcheol/jeonghan/minghao’s was practicing alone. he recognises your figure even though the door was translucent. he practically ran outside and looked if they coast was clear before giving you a hug. little did you guys know the one or some of your fellow hybe artists from another group was walking around that floor— they instantly said they wouldn’t tell anyone but would also be in shock and would take awhile to process what they just saw.

after an afternoon of hanging with joshua during your short break in one of the rooms in the building, you had a schedule to go live when you got back to your designated room. you soon left and looked in the mirror to make sure everything was okay and you met up with the staff then went live. you enjoyed reading the comments and answered some until you saw a specific comment. anon: yn! your necklace is so cute! where did you get it?

you mentally froze for 3 seconds and looked at yourself in the screen. you touched your neck and saw that you were wearing the necklace joshua gave you literally 30 minutes ago. you nervously laughed and said that you recently got into the activity of making jewellery and that you were testing its durability. “do you guys want one?” you smiled at your viewers. you got comments that were constantly mentioning joshua— anon: “you’re like joshua!” // “joshua from svt also makes them!!“ — but the really annoying ones would tell you you’re copying him.

during a live, a fan pointed out that wonwoo was wearing more jewellery recently. “sort of, but it’s mostly rings,” wonwoo says as he placed the back of his hand infront of the screen to showcase his rings. later on in the live he started giving the origins of each ring, “this was from a recent trip, this one is from mingyu…”

he got to a simple silver ring and he held back a grin, “this one is a typical ring but i like it a lot.” he showed the rings once again. he faced his palm to the camera but realised, on the simple silver ring, your name was engraved onto it and it was legible. he mostly had it turned inwards for reasons like this tho. he quickly took his hand away from the camera and read other comments to change the topic— the fandom became super curious, they noticed there was some writing on the ring. it was the same curiousity as to when scoups was revealed to have a tattoo.

dokyeom looks up and sees you and your son walking into the room. all of the guys are getting photos done for the company, so there is equipment everywhere in the practice room that has turned into a photo shoot set.

"you guys got here quick," dokyeom says to you as your son runs up to him and gives him a hug. "have a good day with mom?"

"yea! we went to to the science museum and then to the art store," your son says as you walk over to him and dokyeom.

"art store?" dokyeom questions.

"he saw my tattoos," you mention and ruffle your son's hair, "and somebody wants to create a tattoo for me."

"ah, so we have a budding artist in our household now," dokyeom says with a big smile. he looks at you, "you're seriously gonna tattoo whatever he makes?" he asks you, clearly skeptical.

"within my own discretion," you answer your husband. "hey, baby? go say hi to everyone," you instruct your son. he runs off to say hi to his uncles and the other staff members he knows in the room. "i told him about tattoos being permanent, and that some people even regret them in the future. but i also told him that i'll love whatever he creates, whether it's on paper or my skin."

"aw, that's cute," dokyeom says to you. "do you two want to stay? i'm practicing with some of the guys in another room after we're done."

"will it be long? i need to pick up groceries," you mention.

"just for an hour. i can go shopping with you two," he replies.

"dad! uncle says he'll buy me a spaceship!" your son shouts from across the room, sitting with s.coups and jeonghan.

"hey hyung..." dokyeom sighs, "i'm the one supposed to be spoiling him."

once you go home for the day, dokyeom helps you in the kitchen while your son draws in his new sketchbook.

"hey mom," your son calls out to you.

"yes, baby?" you reply as you cook food.

"i drew a bunch of stuff! can you look at them when you're done cooking?" he asks.

you look over your shoulder with a smile, "after dinner, alright?"

"okay!"

"bud, clear the table. we need space to eat," dokyeom says to your son.

"yes, dad." your son starts clearing the table of his new art supplies. dokyeom takes some side dishes out of the fridge and sets the table as you finish cooking dinner.

"babe, you should look at these," dokyeom says to you.

"hm?" you look over your shoulder for a second to see dokyeom looking at your son's art that was left on the table. "bring it over here," you say, not wanting to step away from the stove.

dokyeom walks over and shows you a page full of doodles that your son created. different colors next to each other, lines of various shapes.

"oh, these are so cute," you compliment your son's art.

"right?" dokyeom replies.

"hey! my book!" your son suddenly shouts. you look and see him in one of the entranceways. "you can't see it yet! i need to draw more!"

"sorry, baby. your dad just really wanted to look," you say to him, slightly blaming your husband in the process.

"dad!" your son whines with a pout.

"sorry for taking it, bud," dokyeom says and hands the sketchbook back to your son. "you're just super cool, so we wanted to look it already," he says to him as your son hugs the sketchbook in his arms.

"you think i'm cool?" your son asks, making you smile.

"the coolest," you say to him.

once you're done cooking, all of you eat together at the table. your son recounts your day together again for his dad while dokyeom mentions his upcoming schedules.

"hey, babe," dokyeom calls to you. you him in response to let him know you're listening, "what if we got matching tattoos with his doodles?" he asks you.

"you want to?" you reply.

"yea. wouldn't it be cute to have matching onces?" dokyeom replies to you.

"mom, dad, can i get a tattoo?" your son speaks after putting his water cup down.

"ask your mom," dokyeom says to him.

"seokmin!" you yell your husband's name. "you know he can't get one at this age," you say to him while dokyeom tries to make you look like a bad guy. you see your son start to get sad. "baby, you can't get one until you're a lot older," you say to your son, "and your dad is trying to make me look like a bad guy."

your son gasps, looking at his father, "mom isn't a bad person! dad, you're being mean to mom!"

"i'm joking! i swear!" dokyeom says to both of you. "i'll make it up to you and get twenty tattoos that were created by you," he says to your son.

"no! you're not allowed to get them either! you're being mean to mom!"

"ah! i swear i was joking! babe!"

the events that transpired on the eve of september 4th troubled seokmin's conscious, despite the weeks that had passed since. unsure if his discovery had eased his curiosity or just added to it, it was certainly puzzling as it was unsettling. peppy parrot's emporium already had a bit of a reputation; the unearthing of an abandoned underground terminal that was not only home to an alarming amount of decommissioned animatronics ( whose reflective glowing red eyes left him with the impression that he wasn't truly alone ), but led to the area where the murder weapon of willow amelia had been left... it was strange. sleepless nights were commonplace for the tattoo artist, though they had since increased with the emergence of even more sinister hauntings, what with the happenings around town. lost in a train of thought and spaced out, he sipped on his cup of coffee that was brewed to perfection, just vaguely aware of the presence of the person who sat on the other side of the booth whom he'd been sharing his recollected findings with. “ and then i came out where the weapon was found. it was just... weird, ” he spoke quietly with a shake of his head.

best friend joshua who's going through the worst break-up of all time. you push your feelings for him aside to comfort him through a lonely december, but you're surprised when he unexpectedly presses a kiss on your lips during his homey little birthday party that you planned for him.

brother's best friend jeonghan who you think despises you, but in reality he just can't deal with his feelings for you. he's also mad dumb and hurts you a lot more than he means to.

works part-time as a waiter at a restaurant with hyunjin, seokmin, and seokmin’s mate

he fuckin loves his job and all of his coworkers

he honestly loves the closing shifts because he can watch yeonjun and kai whack each other with the cloth napkins like they’re fencing each other

Elsie:

would literally laugh if someone asked her if she was going to or went to college

mostly makes money doing uhhh ✨side jobs✨ if ya know what i mean

her sister wants her to get a real job and stop taking up shady jobs and she said she'll consider it

little does ryu know that elsie's trying to figure out how the fuck to make a resume lmao

she'll do anything for ryu tbh

jeongin said he'll line her up a job at his parent's restaurant <3

unfortunately elsie has bad people skills lmfao

Aeri:

was originally going to college to become a translator but switched her major to computer science and programming

mostly because some frat boy she had a thing with said women couldn't do stem stuff

yeah so she mostly switched her major out of spite but she's really into it, actually

plus she'll probably make more money lmao

she works part-time as a teacher's aid, but her parents are also rich and she has a good relationship with them sooooooo

no chan will not let her give him money for a better apartment

Ryu:

majoring in applied mathematics

she's big brained we love that for her

she was originally going to school part-time but now that she's not off werewolf hunting, she's enrolled full-time

but she does have a part-time job at the coffee shop with felix and sam

she also loves the free coffee

Minho:

you wouldn’t think this kid would show up to class -- he doesn’t half the time -- but he still somehow hasn’t gotten kicked out and has kept his grades up a decent amount

honestly minho’s pretty smart, he just chooses to not use his brain all the time lmfao

he’s going for general studies just to say he went to college because jobs and shit love when people go to college lmao

chan keeps making jokes that he should become a lawyer with how much he likes to argue

seungmin says he should become a food critic with how much he likes to complain

won’t tell fuckin anyone but he was on his school’s competitive dance team in high school and they won a ton of competitions so his dream job is dance instructor <3

Jamie:

no college and no job

she's been through a lot okay give her a break

if she were to go to college though, she'd want to go for some sort of therapy or counseling

probably something for people recovering from abusive relationships

but she doesn't like talking a lot so she knows she couldn't do that

she also wouldn’t mind something with animals

jeongin’s parents said that if she needs, they can give her a job washing dishes so she doesn’t have to interact with anyone

faye and yoona also offered to hook her up at the bakery

Changbin:

he's working on getting his ged since he dropped out of high school

and then he'll worry about college

got a lot of money in ways he'd rather not talk about or let jamie know about

felix tried to get changbin a job with him but the owner said changbin is absolutely not allowed behind the counter

as much as jeongin's parents love him they're kinda wary about giving him a job and having some bad people show up at their restaurant

he's still working on the job thing

honestly he’s been looking into a tattoo apprenticeship because he thinks being a tattoo artist would be pretty fun (and make decent money)

Hyunjin:

majoring in fashion design

he considered going to college for something art related but ultimately decided fashion might be the way to go (he loves fashion, anyway)

but lately he’s been wondering if he should switch to interior design

art is very therapeutic for him okay

he really wants to get an apprenticeship at some art gallery but for now he's a bartender at jeongin’s parents’ restaurant

he sometimes does other stuff though but he’s usually one of the people behind the bar

he used to bartend at an actual bar with jeonghan’s mate but he kind of fought one of the customers soooooo

Sam:

we all know she was studying abroad for a semester but now she's there for good

her major was public relations and it still is, but she’s been considering switching to something with fashion

she really likes the fashion in korea

could literally sit with hyunjin and people watch for hours while discussing fashion

she still works part-time at the café with felix and now ryu

Mari:

wants to move to the states and be a teacher, so she’s currently studying in the education field

her goal is to become an english teacher for children who come from families that have moved from other countries and don’t know english

hence her being tutored in english by sam

also she comes from a lot of money and her parents think it’ll be a flex if their kid knows several languages

that being said, she also doesn’t have a job since her parents pay for pretty much everything

she wants to be more independent but it’s a little difficult with her current situation which slowly seems to be getting worse

Jisung:

majoring in music production

he’s not super loud about his love for music and wanting to become a producer, but he’s very dedicated to his major

works part-time at a grocery store which kinda sucks and is really boring but money is money

really wants to get a job that’s more in his field but that’s kinda hard when everyone already wants you to have experience

that’s okay though because ankita is always super supportive!!

Felix:

majoring in music theory & composition

like jisung, he’s not very talkative about his love for music, but he’s always the one in charge of the speakers in the café lmao

he obviously works part-time at a café with sam and ryu

desperately wants a spot at the bakery that faye and yoona work at though since that’s more his speed (he almost majored in culinary arts but he didn’t want to do the cooking aspect of it, just the baking)

but he can’t leave his job, he gets to work with his mate!!!

Seungmin:

originally, he considered going into criminal justice and becoming a prosecutor

but then when he realized how grueling that would be, he decided to get his general studies out of the way

he likes photography but he doesn’t think he’d make a lot of money from a career in that field

so he’s still figuring his shit out

he did work part-time at a convenience store but he refused to put up with his boss’ shit so he quit

Jeongin:

majoring in early childhood education

lowkey has baby fever

but at the same time also views the kids he gets to hang out with as friends rather than literal children lmao

he works at the school’s daycare which thankfully still pays him despite it going toward his credits and whatnot

used to work part-time at his parents’ restaurant but he still goes in to help out when it gets busy

Ankita:

wanted to be a vet but clearly that dream was shattered lmao

so now she’s trying to become a pediatrician because babies are probably second best to animals, right?

it’s also partly to appease the handful of family (not so much her parents but like aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, etc) that complains that her boyfriend is a wannabe soundcloud rapper or whatever

who needs a doctor as a husband when you can become the doctor

honestly if anybody in the pack gets bad baby fever, it’s her

it’s starting to get to jisung too

Minseo:

currently majoring in early childhood development, but the goal is to major in social work

she wants to be able to help out in the adoption system

but since she’s in a similar field as jeongin, they see each other quite a bit

minseo isn’t officially in the pack but honestly, she probably has baby fever the worst

but she’s dead set on adopting at least one kid <3

works part-time with jeongin at the daycare, and works weekends at a bubble tea shop

The second the doorbell rings, you hide away your surprise, sock-sliding to the door in excitement. You open the door, displaying the young man holding some sunflowers in hand, which was a little unexpected.

He grins once meeting eyes with you, satisfied with your response. He holds out the bundle of bright yellow flowers to you, “I had time to visit the shop to greet your employee. You’re right, she’s super sweet… What are you waiting for? It’s yours Blossom.”

Tilting the flowers, you accept it into your arms, smiling down at the fresh scent, bubbling with joy as you hold his hand and tug him inside. A yelp comes out of his mouth at the sudden move which you found incredibly cute.

“I love the flowers so much. Thanks.” You thank, soon pointing to the coat hanger. “Sorry I rushed you inside, you can remove your coat and shoes while I put these in a vase.”

And the two of you part for a few seconds before sitting back down on the carpet and Seokmin looks at his tattoo on his arm, before looking back at you.

“I have to get used to seeing you with that tattoo on you.” Chuckles Seokmin. “You’re going to regret it.”

You too, look at your bicep, showing a similar sunflower tattoo you’ve seen before, almost identical. You can still imagines Seokmin’s bewildered face when you requested for another matching tattoo (of course, it was a tattooist’s nightmare).

“Not too sure about that. I don’t feel regret at all quite frankly.”

“That’s what they all say…” The male side comments, throwing a dirty look at you before he laughs, joining with your sound. “So! What’s this surprise you have for me?”

“Yes, the surprise!” You clap happily, holding Seokmin’s hands and letting his palms cover his eyes. “You have to keep them shut tight, okay?”

You’re convinced by the other’s nod, leaving him promptly before waddling and fetching your surprise, waddling back by the sound of your footsteps. Sitting, Seokmin hears you press a kiss on whatever you’ve gotten him before you place the object on his lap carefully.

“Now open your eyes.”

Peeling his hands away, he opens his eyes one by one, taking small peeps. But with one peep, his eyes fly open, lips spreading into a wide, unbelievable smile.

“A dog — You got a pup?!”

“I got you a pup Seok’.”

His smile fails to fade away, picking up the australian shepherd and cradling it in his arms instantly, cooing at the size. As expected, he begins to talk to the animal and touches their noses together.

“Hello! I’m Seokmin, it’s very nice to meet you!”

You can’t contain your laugher and so you laugh, adoring the scene play out. Seokmin puts the puppy down, but she sticks by his side as the male magically whips out some treats. Before you would ask, he already answered your question with the dog walking rounds he did this morning, which made perfectly strange sense.

“She really likes you, hm?”

“It’s the food,” Seokmin states, “and my undying charm.”

“Oh please…”

“But…” Seokmin begins to frown, gently petting her head, “I can’t keep her in the dorm.”

“That’s okay! She’ll be staying with me, so we can take a shared responsibility.”

“’Shared responsibi’- Oh we’re at that stage? Oh my god, we’re at that stage aren’t we—“

“Stage? What stage?”

“This!” He picks up the puppy to his lap, raising her arms as she curiously looks up at his chin. “This is like — Having to look after a child stage.”

You stare, speechless, suddenly shuffling to the man and trapping his head into your chest, hugging him but avoiding to crush the puppy. “Maybe it is. I think we can handle it. Besides, my grandparents need a guardian to look after the house since I’m growing up.”

“Gotcha- Hey I thought you didn’t like dogs!”

Releasing him from the hug, you stay on your knees as your finger nuzzles the puppy’s chin. “Well maybe they aren’t so bad… However I get jumpy when she gets excited.”

“Adorable.”

“Me or the dog?”

“You. As well as this beauty!” He holds her up and you meet face to face with your puppy, her pink tongue poking out. When he settles her back on his lap, Seokmin gulps, staring at you. “Blossom, if we’re at this stage, then does it mean…”

He can’t finish his sentence, but you know exactly what he’s saying. Getting down to eye level, you look at him too. ‘He’s looking at my lips’ you think.

“I’m fine with it if you are.”

“Okay… I think — Yeah, I can do this… How do we do this?”

“Just do whatever,” You chuckle, talking in the same confused tone he has as he carefully leans in.

Softly, your lips meet — fully this time — and like last time, you smile into the kiss. There was some awkwardness as you both didn’t know what to do, so you stayed the way you were until you part the kiss to catch your breath.

“Screwed that up, didn’t I?” Seokmin laughs.

“We can always try again.” You suggest, pulling him in for another kiss, more natural than the first but the innocence remaining. Your stomach kept turning inside and out — was this what it was like to get butterflies?

Partway into the kiss, Seokmin begins to giggle, and you obviously follow, giggling before ghosting pecks around his lips as you cup his face.

It was going perfectly well until you were stopped by high-pitched yaps, directing your attention to your puppy panting enthusiastically. You and the male smile at the sight as she jumps into your lap and you cup her face too. “Hi baby, you okay?” The pup is pressed a kiss on the head by you — Seokmin thinks he might die from such a scene.

But it finally got to his attention — “What’s her name?”

“Oh right-“ Looking back at him, you awkwardly smile. “I’m not that good with names… And I thought it was fair for us to choose a name since it’s a shared duty now…”

As you and the puppy both look at Seokmin with the identical wide eyes (again, he thinks he could die peacefully right there and then), he points a finger on his chin to storm ideas.

“Spring. She suits that name.”

Peeking at Spring, your lips curl. “Yeah. It’s perfect.”

Seokmin draws nearer to Spring and clicks his tongue before feeding her treats. “Who’s a good girl? You are!” The pup barks in joy, jumping in your arms and Seokmin looks up, stretching himself so he can plant a kiss at your jaw before Spring grabs his attention again.

Everything felt like a dream. Seokmin, Spring, the brightness of the room and joy lingering. It was insane to call this your reality; you never wanted it to come to a stop.

“I guess Spring gives you another excuse to see me now.”

“Can’t my excuse be how hopelessly I’m in love with you?”

BACKGROUND

(born as hae ji-hun) with his mother dying in childbirth, father completely out of the picture, and no next of kin, one could say that he was born with tragedy in his blood. he ended up being placed in foster care for the first two and a half years of his life, until joining his adoptive family — a young couple living in seoul, when he was three. they had another son older by a few years, and the two were quick to become best friends.

his family moved to maine when seokmin was seven, though they did travel back to korea every so often. his childhood, as far as he can recall, was normal. happy. he excelled in school, developed a passion in art (and got in trouble a few times for painting on his walls), and lived about as regular a childhood as loving parents could hope. with any child, came dreams, and seokmin always vocalized how he wanted to be a famous artist, or "be friends with the cool animals at the zoo"; he was an imaginative kid of little worries and high hopes.

though, things could only be good for so long. on the night of his fifteenth birthday, his life would change forever. while his brother was away for the start of a university semester, an intruder broke into the family's home and would take the lives of both of his parents, and while seokmin tried to hide, the attempt was futile. for the next several years of his life, he would be captive to this murderer, taken away to a state he didn't know the name of. even after leads, the authorities never did end up finding the man or solving the case, which spread like wildfire across the world.

after living this way and sustaining abuse for a long period of time, seokmin conducted a successful escape after knocking him out in an altercation, running until he physically couldn't anymore. traumatized, a shell of his former self, and completely disconnected from any selfdom, the twenty year old wasn't sure what to do or where to go — he didn't know who he was.

it definitely took some time for him to get back on his feet. (*another wanted connection) distrustful of every person he saw, seokmin was lost and alone, until they found him, as battered, bruised and terrified as he was. they took him in, giving him a safe place to stay, no judgement or questions asked, and would come to be an extremely trusted friend.

a new identity was made. for his own safety, he rid himself of his birth name hae jihun, and created a new one — choi seokmin. it also cut ties with the case, not wanting it to follow him, not wanting to be known as him. he'd much rather stay hidden on a new slate rather than having to relive any of it, or recount his trauma just for the presses to badger him.

now as for his big brother, seokmin spent a lot of time searching for him. social medias and search engines would always come up with no results, rendering him completely unreachable. the only information he could get was from the articles surrounding the murders and his own disappearance, nothing more. a part of him felt guilty, and he still wonders to this day if maybe he had went to the authorities, he'd have his brother back by now, but it terrified him too much.

ending up far, far away from maine, a small town in alaska served as his shelter. as of now, he's been there for about two years, and works at the tattoo parlor and carnival (as a snake handler!!). though his past haunts him, fear still plaguing him, seokmin has slowly been rebuilding himself in anchorage.

HEADCANONS

seokmin has a very loved doberman named maeum (yes, the same breed as bam, i had to), who goes with him literally everywhere. if you stop into lightning griffin, chances are you'll get to see maeum ! he's a very happy and well-trained dog, and he makes him feel safe. originally, he wasn't trained to be a service dog, but all the qualities, traits (and general behaviour) suited it greatly, and now he's very efficient at his job. their bond is strong, and seokmin loves him so much.

biiiig tattoo and piercing guy. he's always trying out new piercings, or leaving the studio with a fresh piece of ink, so on. if you're wanting one of either but are hesitant, he will 100% hype you up.

he has been diagnosed with ptsd, panic disorder and depression, and is on medication for them.

he's an extremely private person — if you've been to his apartment, you're lucky and he trusts you, as he's reasonably hesitant to let people inside of his home.

despite his dark past and quiet, slightly, standoffish demeanour, seokmin tries to put on a brave face and be kind. he's not an asshole by any means, he's a complete sweetheart (and even goofs off with the right people), but it's probably clear to just about anyone that he's been through a lot.

when he's in public or otherwise out of the confines of his apartment, he pretty much always has on a black face mask, it helps his anxiety a lot.

someone needs to take this man clothing shopping for some COLOUR. his wardrobe only consists of black clothes and combat boots (i get it i really do).

Seventeen & Tattoos

this is hardly a reading! i’m just looking at their chart and saying if they would or wouldn’t get tattoos and why. lolol enjoy if you’re like me and really like tattoos!

Seungcheol: yes, he thinks they’re cool and wants ones with a lot of meaning that’s very significant to him. maybe to symbolize overcoming/achieving something like a battle scar/trophy. may also think it’d be a profound way to express himself on things he’s too shy/uncomfortable to express openly normally. kinda afraid to do it, tho. thinks they’re hot tho and likes that sexy tatted, bad boy look. 

Jeonghan: maybe a tiny one. struggles to settle on a design although he really likes the aesthetic and meaning of tattoos. would want soft, cute ones he could easily hide. may only bite the bullet if it were a matching tattoo with everyone else, though. 

Joshua: thinks they’re dope but doesn’t really feel the need to get one. i wouldn’t rule it out entirely as i think it fits his aesthetic and if the opportunity arises and it feels right, he’ll go for it. 

Jun: nah, not his style. nothing fun about it, too serious and too intense. he just doesn’t feel the need to permanently mark his skin for anything in particular. may have a fascination with them, but knows he may change his mind. 

Hoshi: i mean he probably wants a tiger. he likes that it’d be bold and very signature him. high probability he wont go through with it, though. he wouldn’t like the idea of not being able to adjust the look based on his mood. would generally think it’d be too dark and intense a style for him if he were to do a lot/one big one. will settle for tiny tiger.

Wonwoo: honestly, yeah. he doesn’t feel the need to significantly alter his body in any other way because they seem purely ornamental for him. but with tattoos he could associate meaning and depth through symbolism. he would appreciate it as art. 

Woozi: thinks they’re cool, wouldn’t want it for himself. too scary, too uncomfortable, generally not worth it for him. 

Seokmin: maybe?? he thinks it would be cool and meaningful and would like the fact not many people would expect him to have one. probs wont go out of his way to do it. will make plans/come up with ideas in his head and then back out/talk himself out of it. 

Mingyu: maybe. he may like the tattooed look but generally i think he’s too dandy/modest in how he wants to appear that he wouldn’t want to commit to that look. tho he did say once he was into bad girls so who knows, there may be a little rebel in him. 

Minghao: hell yeah, thinks they’re hot and cool. when? dunno. but he definitely thinks they’re cool. may get one later in life when he’s more settled and knows exactly what he wants. like maybe a huge, beautiful piece by a special artist or maybe one he designed himself. he just normally struggles to be impulsive with these things and will wait for it to feel right (idk if that infinity one he had was real or not, does anyone know???) 

Seungkwan: almost definitely not. it’s painful to get and painful to remove if you change your mind. may like the idea of a really sentimental one with family/members, but would certainly think there are other less invasive ways of proving his love for them. 

Vernon: thinks they’re dooooooope. will probs start small and meaningful and, if he likes them, get larger and more fun/weird ones. maybe something by his parents?? there’s also the possibility he’d think they’re a bit unnecessary for him as he wouldn’t feel the need to permanently alter himself for the sake of appearance. may think it’s a big leap from thinking they’re dope to “yes put this on my skin forever.”

Dino: ehhhh probs not. struggles to think any one specific thing he’d want tattooed onto him forever. thinks they’re cool and may consider it, but i think he’d take too seriously what he’d want and would end up stressing himself out too much about getting the PERFECT tattoo.

Would you recommend them ? Fuck yeah they’re my favourite band kids

What is your favourite lyric of theirs ? “The dawn right before the sun rises is darkest” I’m gonna get it tattooed when I save up enough money. I’ve wanted that as a tattoo for nearly 5 years now so I’m sure of my decision lmao just need money. 

What are their album artworks like ? Pretty but never over the top which is nice. The last few album sets have made a pattern if you buy all 4 versions and line them up which I have to saw I am a big fan of. 

If they stopped making music, would you be sad ? I would be absolutely devastated. They’re my favourite band! They said in an awards acceptance speech not too long ago that they were considering disbanding at the start of last year and I honest to god burst into tears right then and there. I’d be crushed.

How popular are they ? Depends on who you ask. They’ve had some very popular songs but people seem to forget about them when they’re not releasing new stuff? 

Have you ever seen them perform live ? I’ve seen them twice actually! Which is surprising, because I live in Australia and not a lot of bands make the trip here very often, so I’m very glad I’ve got to see them as many times as I have. They have an incredible energy when live, Tyler commands the space and Josh is fucking awesome on drums irl too.  

How did you find out about them ? I heard about them ages before I actually got into them, back in 2013 when my friend showed me this cover he was super obsessed with, and it was top’s cover of Can’t Help Falling in Love. 

What is their sexuality, if known ? They’re both in relationships with women so I’ll say straight but who knows really. 

Is their music easy to dance to ? Most of it is! They’ve got some really good beats in most of their songs, but also some of them are very slow and you just want to feel the music, not really dance.

What instrument is the most prominent in their music ? Umm they’re a kpop band so computer?? Idk how pop music is made. 

Does your family listen to them ? Not at all, I’m the only one in my family who listens to kpop. They only listen when I make them lmao. 

Are they still making music today ? Yes! They’re coming to Australia to promote their new album which is fucking awesome because kpop bands barely EVER come here. Like I thought American and British artists didn’t come here often, but it seems like they’re here every 2 weeks compared to kpop artists TT.TT

When did you discover them ? I was very young, my mum is super into them and she used to play the black parade album all the time when I was a kid. I literally can’t remember when I heard them for the first time lmao.

Is their music more fun or serious ? The first 3 albums of theirs were very angsty and serious and like rock opera-y but Danger Days has very different vibes. More like, let’s make fun of how shit the world can be instead of wallowing in a pit of despair.

Is the type of music / genre they play something you would typically enjoy or is their sound different for you ? Yeah man, I’ve never left my emo phase and I love their sound even as it continues to evolve. 

Based off of their sound, what would a human version of their music look like ? Hmm, depends which era you’re talking about. Early fob is emo Pete Wentz at his peak, but now their sound sort of reminds me of this instagram model I like, Vanja Jagnic.

Could you see yourself getting along with the members personally ? I feel like I would get along with them all very easily! I have it on good authority I’m a nice person, so hopefully that would carry through. 

Did somebody recommend this band to you ? Does my mum count? She likes fall out boy too and used to play them when I was younger as well, so I guess she recommended them to me in a way.

Do you listen to this artist regularly ? My housemate is obsessed with them so yeah I do listen quite a bit. 

How would you describe their music ? Pretty typical of kpop, they’re way more “edgy” than most girl groups though which I like. I’m not a fan of the cute/sexy/infant vibe that a lot of other girl groups have going on.

Okay so, S.Coups is Seungcheol, Jeonghan goes by Jeonghan, Joshua has a korean name but Joshua is his birth name so idk if it counts (it’s Jisoo though), Jun is Junhwi, Hoshi is Soonyoung, Wonwoo is Wonwoo so that’s easy, Woozi is Jihoon, DK is Seokmin, Mingyu is just Mingyu, The8 is Minghao, Seungkwan is Seungkwan although people do call him MC Boo (not sure that counts as a stage name), Vernon also has a korean name but Vernon is his birth name (Hansol is the korean name though) and Dino is Chan. Phew.

Do you think it’s necessary or important to know about their personal life to ‘understand’ their music ? I feel like some of their songs are directly related to things that have happened in Ronnie’s life, so yeah to a certain extent, but a lot of the time you can get it from the vibe of the song. 

Have they ever gone on hiatus and did they return ? I’m not sure actually, I don’t follow them that closely.

SVT Reacts To...

Request: Can I request a seventeen reaction to you wanting to draw on their back? (with colors and stuff) Thanks in advance

A/N: Let's be honest here, all of SVT would gladly let their girlfriends do whatever they wanted to them! This request was so cute and I had so much fun doing it. Also, I tried doing this one a little differently and now my brain hurts lmao

Seungcheol: He knew drawing was something you did when you were feeling stressed or your anxiety had been acting up, so every time you had asked to draw on him, he did it without hesitation. His shirt would be piled on the floor as he laid his head on it, watching your face as you drew on him while his fingers were slowly sliding along the skin of your knee. You smiled at him as you felt your worries and stress disappear, getting lost in the lines you left on his back. If he was able to help you in any way, especially if something as little as this meant something so much to you, he'd do it in a heartbeat.

Vernon: Would be the only one to let you do it even before a show. You'd be sitting in the waiting room with the boys, drawing absentmindedly on his back while he ate some ramyeon. He loved seeing you happy and being able to see your face in the reflection of the mirror the two of you sat in front of made it better since he could see the smile that was on your face, even if you didn't realize it was there. He'd let you draw until they had to leave to go on stage, promising to let you finish when they got back to the dorm, or back to the hotel.

Mingyu: Poor Mingyu. He'd let you draw on him as soon as he had gotten out of the shower, and once he decided to go somewhere, he'd forgotten that you had drawn all over him, including his shoulders and upper arms. His skin littered with little pictures and words of things that went through your mind at the time. It wouldn't be long before fans saw your drawings and thought he had gotten a tattoo and was asked multiple times if he had gotten one or not. He found it cute, but also kind of sexy. He liked a women that a special talent, and yours happened to be drawing. He loved seeing you in your element and your 'focused face' when you were gliding a marker or a pen over anything you called your canvas. Even if that canvas was him.

Wonwoo: He'd like to make you think he was putting up a fight, telling you he didn't know about the idea of you drawing on him, not knowing what you'd put on him. After you had convinced him you weren't going to put anything bad on his skin, he'd let you, even though he was going to let you to begin with. He'd sit up while you sat behind him, extending your legs to where one is on each side of his body. His hands would run up and down your legs as you drew, him making little commentary or asking questions every now and then. "Baby, why did it feel like you just drew either big eyes, or really big boobs on my back?" he'd ask you when he felt you draw to big circles.

Soonyoung: I honestly think Hoshi wouldn't mind it even if you did it in front of the boys. They all would be sitting in the living room watching TV when Soonyoung saw you walk in with markers in your hand. The others looked at you questionably before they saw him taking his shirt off. Some of them would smile at the two of you while others would make playful jabs at how Soonyoung was 'whipped' and he let you do anything you wanted. "Happy wife, happy life." was all he said, even though you weren't his wife, yet. He loved the ticklish feeling of the markers going across his back. And found it adorable that this was how you wanted it spend time with him.

Minghao: You'd asked him to be your canvas for your art class, everyone giving you looks when you walked in with your boyfriend instead of your aisle. He sat down on the stool, turning his back towards you. You didn't mind doing your artwork on paper, but you loved the extra challenge of having to draw over and around all of the muscles in Minghao's back, accentuated from working out and dancing. He smiled when the teacher told you she was proud of you for taking a risk, and your back artwork ended up being the best of the class that day. Needless to say, Minghao was your canvas whenever he was available to be.

Junhui: He would always let you draw on him. He had had thoughts before about getting a tattoo, but no idea what he would get. It wasn't until you had brought up how you wanted to draw on his back that he had gotten the idea of letting you draw whatever you wanted, and that was what he would get tattooed when he felt like it. It would have to be in a place where it could be hidden, obviously, but, the day he felt ready to get his tattoo, and assured the company it could be well hidden, he would take you with him to draw the picture for the tattoo artist on the paper, grinning when he saw you make strokes on the paper that he recognized from feeling on his back.

Chan: This baby would love it if you drew on him. His favorite thing to do while in the car or just laying in bed was to draw pictures on your skin with his fingertips, so he saw no difference in you drawing on him with markers. He'd wake up by the feeling of felt tips against his back, grinning and humming when he realized you had just gotten into one of your drawing moods. His grin grew when he realized you were drawing the same thing on his back that he drew on you with his fingers the night before. "You really have a good memory. How do you remember what I drew? You were half asleep." he'd laugh to himself.

Joshua: Would immediately agree, taking off his shirt before laying down in the floor, propped up on pillows as you laid out your pens and markers beside you, taking out your favorite colors and drawing little designs like flowers and hearts all over his skin. He'd love the feel of the felt tip markers going up and down his back, tickling him slightly as you hummed SVT songs to yourself. You'd go between drawing on him and looking at whatever he was showing you on his phone. Once you started humming their songs again, he'd giggle a little when you got to one of his lines, humming it extra loudly just for him.

Seungkwan: This sassy diva would let you do it after you had asked him a couple times, but once you had started to draw on his back, he would be in lala land. His eyes would drift closed and he'd hum along to the songs you were humming, the two of your harmonizing together to create something even more beautiful than the markings you were leaving on his smooth skin. This was something he would only let you do when the group had a couple days off considering the marker took a couple showers to get off completely and he wasn't going to let the boys know you did stuff like that to him.

Seokmin: Another one to gladly let you do whatever you wanted. He'd help you look for the markers and colored pens, setting them out for you before sitting up and getting on his phone, taking pictures of the two of you while you were drawing on him. He loved to take pictures with you, and the fans loved seeing them, so he uploaded them to the groups Instagram, laughing while he was reading some of the comments. "Baby, this one girl is telling you to draw a dick on my back. Please....baby...please don't listen to the fans this one time, ok?" he asked, making you laugh while in the middle of drawing a huge dick on his back.

Jihoon:  He may seem like he would be against it, but he had a major soft spot for you, and if you wanted it, you got it. He loved to spoil you, and if this was what you wanted to do, he was going to let you. He'd smile to himself as he felt the markers slide along his skin, feeling you draw intricate designs on his flesh. It almost put him to sleep, had you not been moving around on the bed, causing him to move every time the bed shook slightly. When you got done, he'd get up to look at your artwork in the mirror in the bathroom, nodding at the pictures and words you had blessed his back with.

Jeonghan: Wouldn't immediately agree, but would give in with a little begging. He'd already be shirtless; that's how he liked to be when he was just sitting at home. He'd lay down on the couch while you straddled his butt, pulling the table closer to you so you could get to your colors easier and faster. You'd ask if there was anything he wanted you to draw on him and he told you to just go crazy. He thought it was cute, and very different. But, if it made you happy, he was happy.
