I. Fucking. Forgot to include one bit of information to the Jigen Alcohol Preferences Headcanon post.
This one is short, but I'm going to drop it under a Read More anyway.
Content warnings: alcohol, (a bit of) alcohol abuse.
what else would i write about lmao.
Anyway. His go-to is usually the expensive stuff, when they're riding the high of a successful heist, he splurges, buys the good stuff, not the usual bottle of rotgut for twenty bucks. Drains at least two with Lupin. Sometimes with Goe too, but he's got his own preferences, ones that don't mesh with the rest of the gang.
If they're going to drink some variant of whiskey, they trust Jigen's pick. Because they let Lupin pick a bottle once, and it ended up being one of the worse things they had to drink.
So the fun is had. Alcohol is drank merrily. They burned through the high-end stuff. And all the other alcohol in the hideout. The morning is going to be a disaster, but they'll be alright the day after. I have a headcanon about the whole gang, plus Zenigata, being pretty much functional alcoholics, with two exceptions - those being Jigen, for he slips into the non-functional territory once in a while, and Fujiko, because she drinks far less than the rest. But that's for an entirely different post.
But Jigen, he doesn't want to get used to the high-end alcohol. And to keep himself appreciative of its value, he wanders off, buys the worst, cheapest bottle of whatever (the worst thing he's found so far was a 200ml bottle of some no-name vodka for two bucks) and he just sits with it, stares it down, and he knows it'll be a horrible experience. But that's the point.
There's a reason he reaches for the bottom-shelf supply after indulging in actual quality alcohol - to never forget how good he has it, that he's not restricted to this gas-station swill that surely only exists to keep people on the wagon. It keeps his taste buds sharp, he refuses to forget the taste of bad liquor, he doesn't want his standards to rise too much. He wants to keep his appreciation of the higher arts, he wants to remember the stark contrast between cheapshit wine and the bottle worth half the monthly salary of some office clerk.
Even though Jigen feeds his habit with mid-range liquors, stuff like the aforementioned fifth of whiskey for twenty bucks, he still reaches for the bottom shelf every once in a while. Partly because he doesn't want to get spoiled, so to speak, partly because his self-worth is sort of tied to his choice of poison. If the job ends in a catastrophe, he grabs the worst drink he can find. A little self-harm never hurt anyone, right?
#moose rambles about jigen#even milder headcanon exploration#still afraid to reblog on the reblog website#the vodka for two bucks is from personal experience btw#it's bad. don't do it. it's about as bad as 72 percent abv tatratea. never again.

Discover Premium Spirits: Garage Oil Whiskey & More
Unveiling Premium Spirits: A Journey Through Craftsmanship and Taste
In the world of premium spirits, innovation and tradition meet to create extraordinary flavors that captivate the senses. From smooth, clean vodkas to robust, complex whiskeys, each bottle tells a story. Today, we explore five standout spirits: Hdw Century Vodka, Garage Oil Whiskey, Johnnie Walker Umami, and Tatratea Original Tea Liqueur. We'll also provide a comprehensive Garage Oil Whiskey Review to help you decide if this unique whiskey is the next addition to your collection.
Hdw Century Vodka: A Modern Marvel of Vodka Craftsmanship
Hdw Century Vodka has made its mark in the spirits world with its clean and crisp profile. This vodka embodies modern distillation techniques while retaining the smooth, neutral flavor that vodka lovers crave. Its unique selling point is its meticulous production process, where purity is emphasized without sacrificing taste. This premium vodka undergoes multiple filtration stages, resulting in a spirit that is as smooth as it is versatile.
Whether you're sipping it neat, enjoying it in a cocktail, or using it as the base of a martini, Hdw Century Vodka delivers consistency and clarity. Its balance between affordability and quality makes it a favorite for both casual drinkers and connoisseurs alike.
Garage Oil Whiskey: A Bold Spirit With a Unique Identity
Next on our journey is Garage Oil Whiskey, a bold and distinctive whiskey that has gained a loyal following. Unlike traditional whiskey, Garage Oil Whiskey has carved its niche with an industrial, rugged vibe that reflects its bold flavor profile. It offers a rich combination of oak, caramel, and spice, resulting in a powerful but well-rounded taste.
This whiskey is designed for those who want something more adventurous than your standard spirit. Its branding, with a mechanical edge, mirrors the complexity and punch that this whiskey delivers in each sip. Garage Oil Whiskey is perfect for those who enjoy strong, smoky, and slightly unconventional whiskey flavors.
Garage Oil Whiskey Review: What Makes It Stand Out?
In this Garage Oil Whiskey Review, let's take a deeper look at what makes this spirit unique. Many whiskey enthusiasts are drawn to its robust, full-bodied taste, where rich, dark caramel notes meet the smokiness of oak barrels. The aging process brings out a complexity that whiskey lovers will appreciate. What sets Garage Oil Whiskey apart is not only its flavor but also its branding—a whiskey that feels raw, unapologetic, and catered to those who enjoy non-traditional whiskey experiences.
In terms of versatility, Garage Oil Whiskey can be enjoyed neat, with a splash of water, or in bold whiskey-based cocktails like a Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Its full flavor holds up well in mixed drinks, making it a staple for those looking to elevate their whiskey collection.
Johnnie Walker Umami: An Unexpected Fusion of Flavor
One of the most exciting innovations in the whiskey world is Johnnie Walker Umami. Known for its fusion of savory, earthy, and slightly salty notes, Johnnie Walker Umami brings a new dimension to the whiskey palate. Umami, often referred to as the “fifth taste,” is typically found in foods like mushrooms, soy sauce, and aged cheese. Incorporating this flavor profile into whiskey is a bold move, but it works remarkably well.
Johnnie Walker Umami balances the sweet, peaty character of traditional Scotch with this savory note, creating a complex, layered taste experience. It's a must-try for adventurous whiskey drinkers who are looking for something different yet grounded in quality. Whether enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to open up its flavors, Johnnie Walker Umami stands out as a whiskey that breaks the mold in the best way possible.
Tatratea Original Tea Liqueur: A Blend of Tradition and Innovation
Rounding out our exploration is the unique and captivating Tatratea Original Tea Liqueur. This spirit hails from Slovakia and combines high-quality tea with alcohol, offering an intriguing alternative to traditional liqueurs. With an alcohol content of 52%, it's both potent and flavorful. The tea base provides a smoothness that is often missing in other high-proof liqueurs, while the herbal and fruity notes create a rich, layered drinking experience.
Tatratea Original Tea Liqueur is versatile in its uses. It can be sipped neat for a robust, warming experience or mixed into cocktails for a creative twist. Its unique tea flavor makes it a fantastic ingredient in both hot and cold drinks, and it pairs particularly well with citrus and honey.
Conclusion: A World of Distinctive Spirits Awaits
From the crisp purity of Hdw Century Vodka to the rugged charm of Garage Oil Whiskey, the savory complexities of Johnnie Walker Umami, and the innovative blend of Tatratea Original Tea Liqueur, there’s a spirit for every palate. These premium beverages not only offer exceptional taste but also highlight the diversity of craftsmanship in the world of spirits. Whether you’re a whiskey aficionado or a vodka lover, exploring these distinctive bottles will surely add excitement to your collection.
Whether you're looking for something bold and unconventional like Garage Oil Whiskey or you're ready to dive into the innovative fusion that Johnnie Walker Umami offers, there's always something new to discover in the ever-evolving world of spirits. Cheers to your next great sip!

Tomorrow is a holiday so it's essentially a Friday night for me and I've had 2,5 Tatrateas so I'm NOT gonna be coherent but Dune is trending and I have and have had mixed feelings about it.
First: I was like 14 when I first read it - not the age for the best, deepest expected reading comprehension and it probably shows.
Second: I have some positive feelings about it, because who doesn't like a good backstabby political drama and a revenge story? In a sci-fi environment too?
Third: When I first read this book I was a very basic teenager the colour of A4 printing paper, growing up in a very monochome city. Things are different now, the Budapest of today is much more diverse but me? I haven't met a Black person in real life until I was like 15, and even that was in France. Safe to say I was not thinking about race issues at all when reading this book.
What I DID see was an outsider getting his sorry ass saved by a group of oppressed people and in thanks declaring himself their boss.
The fact that this takeover was made possible by the work of generations of the same powerful outsiders sowing myths among the above mentioned group of people didn't make any of this any better in my eyes.
And sure, I was told by the book about the abstract prospect of a future where the whole thing will blow up in Paul's face and the known universe will be doomed because of his decisions, but since Dune proper ends on a somewhat triumphant note for Paul... I dunno I just never felt like reading the sequels where all of that actually happens, so I was left feeling hella sour about the whole story.

Aki kipróbálja, garantáltan megérzi a Magas-Tátra varázslatos atmoszféráját minden kortyban.
A TatraTea megvásárolható a Heinemann webáruházában: https://www.heinemann.hu/tatratea
