What a great find in the ski resort of Les Contamines-Montjoie - The restaurant O a la bouche - A wonderful modern sort of Savoyard style restaurant decor but with a modern and fusion menu.There are various set menu choices and it was very hard to choose but I went for the Menu Saveurs described as a culinary journey of small vegetarian tapas size dishes…Absolutely delicious combination of flavours and all beautifully presented.

Not only was this dessert beautifully presented by chef Eric Besson at Le Bilboquet in Annecy it was also absolutely delicious! A delightful taste journey of different honey flavours - The honeycomb was like a brandy snap and decorated with gold leaf - The French description: Le miel et les abeilles butinent et les figues de sollies.

This one called Tout Choc was on LInstant Midi - the menu of the day at the Michelin one star restaurant LEsquisse in Annecy - What a very special discovery - I had the inspiration menu. In Cancale on the Brittany coast, I tasted the most delicious classic Bretagne dessert - the Kouign Amann - this was covered in a caramel buerre sale sauce and served with vanilla ice cream - served at Au Vieux Safran overlooking the harbour and the sea - a lovely summer memory
