I ended up re-reading Stay Here Honey... after you quoted it above (lmao are my manifestation powers at the point where I'm manifesting lyrics now? 😂🤔😌) and omg what a fic? Like it sounds boastful but genuinely, if I hadn't written that fic, it absolutely would've been something I'd love to read!

And honestly that's something that's so important about giving feedback to authors - we get so inside our heads writing these stories and a lot of the time when we read them back, we just see things we could've done better, compromises we made or ideas that didn't pan out the way we thought they would. Sometimes we forget to just enjoy our own stories? And we deserve to enjoy them! Like, that's wild that I wrote that? Those characters and events seem so vivid and believable on the page but at some point they were literally just thoughts my brain came up with? What even? That's insane. But reading that fic this morning I was able to forget that and just read it and live in it and enjoy that. So thank you for giving me that opportunity. 💙

Thank you so much, I'm glad you got to read it! Tbh I'm so used to writing established relationships, I think I'd forgotten how fun it is to write first time sex! One of my favorite things about it is finding ways to convey that sense of discovery - it's comfortable but it's still kind of weird, it's something they've done before but not with each other - and I think having it be in the context of friends to lovers adds such an interesting layer to it!

And obviously. Beard!Ash forever. Like. My dude can shave all he wants IRL but you can bet Crystal's fic!Ash is gonna have a full and beautiful beard 99.9% of the time. 😌🤡

I know you all must be sick of me saying how I'm struggling to write but I'm trying, things are coming soon, etc. I'm sick of it anyways 😂

And I have officially started writing pretty consistently now, I just haven't finished anything yet because the ideas I was most interested in exploring kind of snowballed into bigger stories that are taking some extra time and effort. Which is exciting and a good thing! But annoying since we're all waiting for me to post.

So.

I don't want to make promises but... there could be something coming soon. And not 5SOS soon, like maybe this week soon. 👀 MAYBE. It's nothing big or substantial, just a little friends to lovers vibe, but I really wanted to try and put something together for you guys and I had a tiny burst of inspo the other night so I've kind of just been running with it. 😬

It's going well so far but I'll keep you updated on when it might go up! 🤓💙
