Hello Allah,
This is something I often do not talk about. And right now I do not have a lot of readers.
My family, mostly christians and one or two lovers of meditation will probably understand the following words.
Back in 2010 or so, I met a boy in my english class, he was wearing what is called a "buddhist mala". He, a bit afraid to say he is buddhist just told us it was a present.
My dad and mom never educated me in any particular religion. But I got interested, I discovered along with my mom that we were really good in meditation, so I started calling myself tibetan buddhist. But I needed something, a mala.
One day in a street market near Germany, I was in a hunt for antique things and I came across this woman who was selling malas. My sister bought it for me. The first thing I noticed, was the incredible smell of the wood.
In buddhism and hinduism the number 108 is very important. However my mala had 99 beads instead of 108, so I just counted more and never asked myself why 99.
I finished my undergraduate degree, started a graduate degree and every single day I meditated. Sometimes mantras, but mostly single words like "health" as I have a lot of problems with it.
My mala became part of my wall decoration as I used it so much that the string was too loose.
I went to internet and now I got a 108 beads mala.
My mom passed away almost 6 years ago and again my mala got broken. Grief was intense, as my family and me didn't know how sick she was. My health problems increased and with that my love for anthropology went down.
I looked on amazon for a new mala, it was pretty cheap and it looked amazing. It was sold to me as a meditation bracelet.
Guess what? 33 beads now.
I speak a bit arabic, or at least enough to undertand the word Allah and Muhammed (pbuh).
Did a logical anthropological/religious research and yes. I found it.
Allah has been by my side a long time. My meditations were prayers to him. My health is now good, not perfect because we are not perfect.
I went to Jordan to do some research related to archeology, a predominant muslim place.
Yesterday I asked on a tiktok video if a non muslim could visit the Kaaba, because as a history lover I know the story behind that beautiful place, I mean... the Kaaba! 🕋
I got a weird answer. "No darling, it is a holy place only for believers, not tourists"
It confused me a lot. I firmly believe that Allah found me, I speak to him and I see amazing answers. However, I do not have a shahada, I do not speak arabic fluently, but I recite dhikr, I use my tasbih (the proper name of the beads). So what am I?
I ask with so much respect to every muslim reading this.
Did Allah found me? Is that possible?
Thank you.
van Behn.

I got a tasbih. This works like a buddhist mala but for Islamic religion.
You have 99 beads, for the 99 names of Allah, you can repeat them or choose one according to the situation, to be honest my favourite is Al-Karim (the generous).
As a buddhist, people often ask me if I believe or not in god. And even when I had no god while growing up, I became a nerd in theology.
I do believe in god, Buddhism is in my life in almost every detail, cause I was raised like one. I have the personal name of the Dalai Lama. But of course I believe in god and it has so many names that people freak out when I mention one.
Definitely Al-Karim is my god forever.
Allahu Akbar 😊

How to deal with stress, anxiety, anguish and sin, and helping find the secret of success & happiness.
People often forget the importance of the simple yet powerful dua (supplication) – Istighfar i.e., saying “Astaghfirullah” (I seek forgiveness of Allah).
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) recited this at least 100 times a day.
Let us see the benefits and virtues of reciting this simple beautiful supplication insha Allah.
Istighfar (Astaghfirullah) is the gateway of relief and happiness. Whenever you are in distress start reciting it and Insha Allah it will take you out of your anxiety and will put you in a peaceful situation and will give you happiness.
Istighfar removes anxiety and duas are answered.
Istighfar opens the door of sustenance.
Istighfar opens the door of mercy.
Istighfar opens the door of knowledge.
Istighfar is also gateway of productivity.
Istighfar relieves you.
When you feel that sadness within you, when you are disturbed and frustrated, when anxiety surrounds you, say “Astaghfirullah” “Astaghfirullah”…
Reciting Astaghfiruallah is an effective method of calming our self and wipes away the variety of worldly worries from our mind and body. It may also help us, if we are suffering from depression, it calm us and lessen our depression.
Astaghfirullah also helps us to refrain from all forms of sins. Regularly saying this reminds us that Allah is everywhere and in this way there is very small chances of doing wrongful actions.
Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said,
“If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.” [Abu Dawud].
In another hadith, Abdullah bin Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said:
“The one who (regularly) says Istighfaar, that is, frequently repent to Allah Ta’aala for sins committed, Allah Azza Wa-Jal will open a path from poverty and difficulties.
All sorrow and hardship will be removed, and in its place prosperity and contentment granted. One will receive sustenance from unimagined and unexpected sources.
Do Tasbih of Astaghfaar at least 100 times daily as it is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In one minute, you can say “Astaghfiru Allaah” more than 100 times!
The virtue of seeking forgiveness is well-known, it is a reason of obtaining forgiveness, entering Paradise, having good provisions, increasing one’s strength, repelling harm, having affairs facilitated, the descent of rain, and increasing in wealth and children.
The doors of repentance are always open therefore don’t delay your repentance in a hope of tomorrow, as tomorrow is uncertain , Repent now and make it a habit to ask Allah’s forgiveness by reciting “Astaghfirullah”.
Say I believe in Allah’s mercy, I have sinned, I have gone astray, I have been negligent, but still I believe in Allah’s soothing mercy and forgiveness, I’ll not despair!
IMPORTANCE OF ISTIGHFAR FROM THE QURAN:
One of the 99 Names of Allah is Al-Ghaffaar (الْغَفَّارُ) – The Great Forgiver The Forgiver, the One who forgives the sins of His slaves time and time again.
There are numerous verses in the Quran about the importance of asking for forgiveness of Allah SWT. Here are few of them:
And (commanding you): “Seek the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance, that He may grant you good enjoyment, for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding Grace to every owner of grace (i.e. the one who helps and serves needy and deserving, physically and with his wealth, and even with good words). But if you turn away, then I fear for you the torment of a Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). [Hud 11:3]
Declare (O Muhammad SAW) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful. [Al-Hijr 15:49]
Then, verily! Your Lord for those who do evil (commit sins and are disobedient to Allâh) in ignorance and afterward repent and do righteous deeds, verily, your Lord thereafter, (to such) is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [An-Nahl 16:119]
Your Lord knows best what is in your inner-selves. If you are righteous, then, verily, He is Ever Most Forgiving to those who turn unto Him again and again in obedience, and in repentance. [Al-Isra 17:25]
And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them, (till his death). [Ta-Ha 20:82]
And say (O Muhammad SAW): “My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!” [Al-Mumenoon 23:118]
Need more verses? Read the Quran! There are plenty of verses about the importance of seeking forgiveness.
So did you say “Astagfirullah” (I seek forgiveness of Allah) 100 times today?
#Reflect

dua's to recite after praying ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
tasbih: - subhanallah x33 - alhamdulillah x33 - Allah akbar x33  - followed by Laa ilaaha ill-Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulku wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer (there is none worthy of worship except Allah alone with no partner. to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He has power over everything)
it is narrated by Abu Huraira that if anyone extols Allah after every prayer thirty-three times, and praises Allah thirty-three times, and declares His Greatness thirty-three times, ninety-nine times in all, and says to complete a hundred: “There is no god but Allah, having no partner with Him, to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him is praise due, and He is Potent over everything,” his sins will be forgiven even if these are as abundant as the foam of the sea. (Sahih Muslim 597a)
Istighfar: - astaghfirullah x3
Ayatul Kursi
Hadith: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing but death will prevent him from entering Paradise."
La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin (There is no God but You, Holy art Thou. I have indeed been of the wrongdoers).
Laa hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no strength of power except Allah)
Allahumma inni asaluka husnul khatima (O Allah, grant me a good and beautiful end to my life).
Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men, i.e. others).
there are, of course, many others. these are just a select few to avoid overwhelm and to encourage. there is a hadith that says, if, after praying, one stays on their prayer mat and does not break their wudhu (ablution), the angels keep on asking for Allah's blessings and forgiveness for them. they say 'O Allah! Forgive him and be Merciful to him'. (Sahih al-Bukhari 659)
this is why it is important and good to remain in your place for a while after praying and remember Allah. these dua's are good to start with. may Allah make it easy for us all, Ameen

i love that Allah says to our prophet ﷺ to do tasbih until the stars begin to disappear instead of to do tasbih in the darkness. He is reminding us that even in the darkness there is always light on its way, something to be grateful for. and He calls our attention to the light instead of the dark. so beautiful

Salaam, how does one stay positive and hopeful even looking around at the stage of the world
Wa alaykum assalam dear,
Faith Faith Faith!
The only thing that can save you is to hold on to Allah's rope.
I know everything around us looks horrifying, it looks like we're at the final stage, and the only thing left is for the antichrist to appear - We seek refuge in Allah from that - but listen, there is a Hadith by which Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encourages the believers to never stop doing good deeds and working even in the final seconds of life "If the Final Hour comes while you have a shoot of a plant in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you should plant it."
I honestly don't know what to tell you besides holding on to your faith and to your Quran + strengthening your relationship with Allah swt.
The Quran is filled with verses of reassurance that might help you calm your anxieties and feel better about what's going on around us, I can't mention all of them but here are the ones that are coming to mind rn as I am thinking of your ask:
From Surat Al Baqarah (2)
We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endure
who say, when struck by a disaster, “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.”
----------
From Surat Al Ankaboot (29):
أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ أَن يَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ ٢
Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test?
We certainly tested those before them. And ˹in this way˺ Allah will clearly distinguish between those who are truthful and those who are liars.
----------
From Surat aTawba (9):
˹It does not matter˺ if you ˹believers˺ do not support him, for Allah did in fact support him when the disbelievers drove him out ˹of Mecca˺ and he was only one of two. While they both were in the cave, he reassured his companion,1 “Do not worry; Allah is certainly with us.” So Allah sent down His serenity upon the Prophet, supported him with forces you ˹believers˺ did not see, and made the word of the disbelievers lowest, while the Word of Allah is supreme. And Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.
---------
And my favorites from Surat Ta Ha (20):
قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآ ۖ إِنَّنِى مَعَكُمَآ أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ ٤٦
Allah reassured ˹them˺, “Have no fear! I am with you, hearing and seeing.
Tbh the whole surah, because there is a common theme in Surat Ta Ha which is " Do not fear ", and in general, it is very calming, Alhamdullillah.
Anyways, pray your five, try to make lots of shirk and tasbih, try to do good by yourself and by people, and rely on Allah in everything you do, because, as Allah swt says in Surat Talaq (65):
وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًۭا ٢
And whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make a way out for them,
and provide for them from sources they could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He ˹alone˺ is sufficient for them. Certainly Allah achieves His Will. Allah has already set a destiny for everything.

Takjub
Ternyata gini rasanya punya ponakan😭 seneng terharu jadi satu
Terakhir, mohon didoakan supaya Allah lindungi dia dari fitnah dunia
"Bismillahilladzi Laa yadhurru ma'asmihi syaiun fil Ardhi wa laa fis samaa

March 25, 2023 - Saturday | Ramadan Challenge 🌙 3/30
Love saturdays love the pleasant surprise of not setting an alarm and still waking up at a good time, love not having work or internship, love gloomy rainy days 🕯
📸 occupational hazard, propagating plants (an attempt) + my recent cloud art is now my wallpaper ☁️
What type of worship comes the easiest to you? I think I’d say dhikr. Both in the literal sense like tasbih/tahmid/takbir + morning duas etc but also dhikr in the sense of the meaning of the word like the remembrance of Allah. Maybe cuz I like drawing or because I’m a science nerd but I’m always notice and am awed by the beauty and intricacies of the creation of Allah. Like that verse from Surah Ale-Imran is so important to me: ‘Verily in the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of understanding’ I’d like to think I’m one of those people 🤧

Sunan an Nasa’i: The Book of Zakah, Book 23, Hadith 2437
It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Ghanm that Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari told him that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Isbagh Al-Wudu is half of faith; Alhamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) fills the balance; the Tasbih and the Takbir fill the heavens and Earth; the Salah is light; the Zakah is a sign (of sincerity); patience is an illuminating torch; and the Qur'an is proof, either for you or against you."

Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of the Remembrance of Allah, Book 15, Hadith 40
Chapter: The Excellence of Gathering in which Allah is Remembered
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah, the Exalted, has teams of angels who go about on the roads seeking those who remember Allah. When they find some people remembering Allah they call to one another and say, 'Come to what you are looking for;' and they surround them with their wings till the space between them and the lowest sky is fully covered. Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, asks them (although He is best informed about every thing): 'What are my slave saying?' They say: 'They are glorifying Your Tasbih, Tahmid, Takbir, Tamjid, (i.e., they were declaring Your Perfectness, praising, remembering the Greatness and Majesty of Allah).' He asks: 'Have they seen Me?' They reply, 'No, indeed, they have not seen You.' He asks: 'How would they act if they were to see Me?' Thereupon they reply: 'If they were to see You, they would engage more earnestly in worshipping and glorifying You and would extol You more.' He would say: 'What do they beg of Me?' They say, 'They beg You for Your Jannah.' Allah says, 'Have they seen My Jannah?' They say, 'No, our Rubb.' He says: 'How would they act if they were to see My Jannah?' They reply, 'Were they to see it, they would more intensely eager for it.' They (the angels) say, 'They seek Your Protection.' He asks, 'Against what do they seek My Protection?' They (the angels) say, 'Our Rubb, from the fire of Hell.' (He, the Rubb) says, 'Have they seen the fire of Hell?' They say, 'No. By Your Honour, they have not seen it.' He says: 'How would they act if they were to see My Fire?' They say: 'If they were to see it, they would more earnest in being away from it and fearing it. They beg of Your forgiveness.' He says: 'I call you to witness that I hereby grant pardon to them and confer upon them what they ask for; and grant them protection against what they seek protection from.' One of the angels says: 'Our Rubb, there is amongst them such and such slave who does not belong to the assembly of those who are participating in Your remembrance. He passed by them and sat down with them.' He says: 'I also grant him pardon because they are the people by virtue of whom their associates will not be unfortunate'."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
