Don’t worry darlings, I promise to try harder to loosen up, do a few yoga poses to ease the pain. But every doctor I see tells me to lose weight, as though a few extra pounds is the source of all this. What does a few even mean? The words weigh on me, ways of seeming not like those other fat people. But fatphobia is the vice we all hold on to, pretend health is our utmost concern, not the hottest men alive on the front pages of magazines with their lean muscles and their six packs. Aren’t they just stomach rolls that hurt more when you punch them? Beats me what we’re all trying to do. Imagine spending your whole life worrying about your weight. I still can’t see a scale without cringing. When the student doctor says, you don’t want to weigh yourself, do you, during my routine checkup, it’s the first time I’m given a choice.

The Challenge & The Cheater (p2)
Summary: reader receives tough news while participating in a MrBeast Challenge
cw: fem reader
“Alright, we’ve had a discussion,” Jimmy stated, stepping into the room. “We’re at about the 30 hour mark, and we’ve decided that you guys provide each other with way too much entertainment.”
Chris pulled on the red duct tape, and Jimmy picked up another one, the two of them making a walkway to another room.
“Oh, and also we’ve made the circles smaller,” he added when he came back, and Tareq was already stood waiting for relocation. You figured he just liked the idea of being able to move somewhere that wasn’t the circle.
“Look, we’re beating that guy,” Karl stated looking to you, and you gave a small nod, and he furrowed eyebrows at the lack of competitive drive that you usually had.
“What’s going on,” he asked and you shook your head giving him a small smile of reassurance, and he couldn’t press any further because Chris was push him down the new pathway that led to another room.
And, almost as soon as they were gone, you wanted to quit. Mostly because it was their goofing of and conversation that was serving as the distraction you needed. And, you think that’s the reason you decided to continue participating anyway. You simply needed a distraction.
“Hey, we’ve got to shrink your circle,” Jimmy said as he pulled up the walkway from your circle, and Chris came in.
“Tareq has a proposition,” Chris stated, and Jimmy furrowed his eyebrows as he passed the tape. “I really don’t think you’re going to go for it.”
“Well, let’s go see,” he said into the camera before walking out, and Chris pulled the tape from the roll, beginning to lay it down.
You know, you’ve been kind of quite,” Chris said. “And, I wouldn’t think anything about it, but you were all chatty and determined that you were going to win yesterday.”
“Just tired, if Karl doesn’t sleep then no one does,” you stated, and Chris paused looking at you.
“Look, if you’re tired I get it, but if there’s something going on you can talk to us. We’re your friends, ya know.”
“Yeah,” you agreed, and he finished up the circle. And, maybe it’s because you could just tell yourself it was good practice for him for when Tucker got older, but you wanted to talk. “Wait, I- Will you close the door I don’t want anyone else to hear?”
“Yeah,” he agreed and he gently shut the door, and you unplugged the mic. You knew you’d be disqualified because it seemed like you were scheming, but you didn’t care.
“I- uh,” you weren’t sure, how to phrase it. It just felt stupid coming out of your mouth. It made you feel a little pathetic too, and maybe that’s why your voice broke. “I got cheated on.”
Chris paused for just a minute as it processed and you tried to wipe at your eyes but it was pointless.
“Well, that guy is an idiot,” Chris told you. “And, jokes on him because now he’ll never have the chance to win a stupid amount of money because we won’t let him.”
You chuckled slightly and Chris pulled you into a hug, rubbing your back some.
“I’m sorry that you got cheated on, alright. You don’t deserve that, and if he’s stupid enough to cheat on you he doesn’t deserve you.”
“I really needed this hug,” you whispered, and Chris gave you an extra squeeze before pulling back, and he gave you a sympathetic look as he pulled back.
“Do you want me or one of the guys to drive you home?”
“No, I don’t want to be alone, and I especially don’t want him to come over and I have to deal with him.”
“Okay, in that case you want to help me sabatoge Tareq?”
“Not Karl?”
“No, I love Karl, I want him to win,” Chris stated and you chuckled some, wiping at your eyes and Chris gave you a smile before standing and helping you up.

This moid is guilty of a lot more than this
BY TAREQ HADDAD ON 10/29/19
Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon targeted "incels"—supposedly involuntarily celibate men—because they were easier to manipulate with conspiratorial thinking, Cambridge Analytica whistleblower Christopher Wylie has said.
The former Breitbart editor enlisted the services of Cambridge Analytica to drum up fringe voters from swing states such as Ohio, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania for Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
The strategy was successful and Republicans secured the White House—attaining 306 electoral college votes to Democrats' 232—but explosive revelations from Wylie in 2018 changed the way people understood that win.
His whistleblowing revealed that Cambridge Analytica harvested the profiles of 50 million Facebook users and how that data was used alongside publicly available voter records to identify people more likely to vote for the Trump campaign.
Of those, Wylie said Bannon targeted the men who calls themselves "incels"—also referring to them as "unmarried straight white dudes who couldn't get laid."
At a talk at the Emmanuel Centre in London on Monday, he said that Bannon viewed them as easy victims for manipulation as they were "lacking economic opportunities" and were more prone to "conspiratorial thinking."
Wylie made similar comments to Amanpour and Company, also on Monday, while on a media tour promoting his new book.
"When you look at the types of people that [Cambridge Analytica] were targeting, it wasn't everybody they were trying to engage with," he said.
"It was very much in the margins and in the fringes of society to bring and recruit people who would otherwise not necessarily engage in conventional politics, but would engage with particular kinds of ideas that [Cambridge Analytica] promoted online.
"That can make an impact. If you get an extra one percent, an extra two per cent, in that swing state and you win that swing state, that might mean you win the presidency."
Cambridge Analytica utilized the "Big 5" personality model to identify which on-the-fence swing voters could be manipulated.
The model—which rates individuals on openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism—has long been identified by political scientists as an accurate indicator for political leaning.
Liberals and left-leaning individuals tend to score higher in openness for example, whereas Conservatives and right-leaning individuals tend to posses higher levels of conscientiousness.
Having such data at the fingertips of Cambridge Analytica meant they could send deeply tailored political messages and only to those whose temperament they knew might favor Trump.
"Imagine we are on a blind date," Wylie said at the talk, reported the London Evening Standard. "We've never met before and I start telling you how much I love your favorite musicians, how I watch the same TV as you do, etc.
"You realize the reason I'm so perfect for you is because I spent the last two years going through your photo albums, reading your text messages and talking to your friends. Facebook is that stalker."

GRATIFICATION
(Fiction)
As I stared up at the fair sky, I watched the golden yellow sun lurking amongst the popcorn-like white clouds with birds soaring up so high and more racing to get back to their nests before the sundown. When my gaze trailed to the ground I was standing on, I saw the same old bricked road where I once walked and found out the little girl named Miray.
I had returned to the land of Bargohlan just for Miray as I promised her on my last visit. I walked on the same street and followed the bricked road that led me to the same bus stop. I didn't know if Miray still sold those tissue packets but I had a firm and strong belief that she would be there. Not long before I heard the sound of laughter of kids. I moved on further, following the sound of the laughter. I spotted two boys.
Their backs were against a cracked wall of an old building and their slippers laid haphazardly next to the rugged carpet they were seated on with tea kettles and cups. I could see the joy in their eyes. As I stood near them their laughter came to a halt. Their curious faces were facing mine now and I squatted down and gave them a friendly smile with warm regards.
"What are your names?" I asked. "Amir and Tareq," one of them answered me.
"And how old are you both?"
"We are eight-years-old," said the other.
"Do you want a cup of tea?" Amir asked with a smile. I noticed how his little dimples formed when his lips curved. I accepted the cup of tea offered to me. As I took sip after sip I learnt that the tea was prepared by them and they were orphans just like my Miray. I asked them did they knew her but unfortunately, they didn't.
I paid little extra and kissed their forehead with a blessing of eternal happiness. Before I took my leave, I asked them, "Don't you wish to have something more than just a rugged carpet, tea sets and the only pair of clothes that looked torn and shabby?"
Tareq replied, "These are luxury for us. We are happy the way we are for it has been calligraphed in our destiny. You don't need materials to be happy rather you need a good company and we are very much glad to have each other by our side. And we pray to remain like this forever." With that being said, he kept his arm on Amir's shoulder. I smiled one last time and walked my path back to the bus stop to head back home.
My purpose to come to Bargohlan was to find Miray but instead, I met with Amir and Tareq. Sometimes the children tend to be wiser than the grown-ups. That is something I learnt from the two boys who had a great bond with each other. I pray they always inspire travellers like me with their wisdom and may they always be together.

Rakuten launches 5G network for ¥2,980 per month
TOKYO
Rakuten Mobile Inc announced on Wednesday that it would be launching its 5G service for ¥2,980 per month.
Called Rakuten Un-Limit V, the flat-rate plan is the same price as Rakuten's current 4G service, Rakuten UN-LIMIT, and will be offered at no extra charge. Current Rakuten users with a 5G enabled device may switch to the plan immediately using the Rakuten Mobile App or be upgraded automatically between Oct 12 and Nov 30.
The 5G coverage area includes Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Osaka, Hyogo and Hokkaido. All 47 prefectures are planned by March 2021.
Rakuten Chairman and CEO Hiroshi "Mickey" Mikitani said that soaring mobile rates have become a national topic and that Rakuten Mobile is more than 70 percent cheaper than its competitors.
"Simply put, on top of 4G, 5G can be used free of charge," said Mikitani. "In 5G areas, whatever the speed, you can use all the data that you can."
Major mobile companies in Japan charge monthly rates exceeding ¥7,000 and fees for using 5G. In 2019, weak pricing competition prompted Japan's government to implement a bill to cut mobile phone fees and encourage its saturated market.
Rakuten believes if more users join Rakuten Mobile, mobile prices, in general, could lower to match.
Executive Vice President and CTO Tareq Amin said Rakuten could offer such competitive rates due to reducing the cost of its mobile base stations.
"We have innovated an architecture that was proprietary [and] absolutely unwilling to evolve," said Amin.
"We think this is the most crucial component for industry disruption. And we wholeheartedly believe that this is just the beginning of what you're going to see with Rakuten and others as we embrace into this technology."
Along with its 4g/5G flat-rate plan, Rakuten announced "Rakuten Big," its first 5G enabled smartphone. The phone, priced at ¥69,800, features a 6.9-inch screen, a Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB of ram, 128GB of storage, and a 64mp camera.
Rakuten Big went on sale from Wednesday and is available from Rakuten's online store and the Rakuten Mobile store in Futako-Tamagawa.

— ¡¡Iremos a buscarte, imbécil!!
