I've been thinking about the huge Disney crossovers where heroes team up to take down villains [even in comedic shows like House Of Mouse]. But I had a thought, what if the villains' plot became incredibly catastrophic, and someone had to sacrifice themselves? I'm leaning towards Taran, because of it being a dark parallel to Gurgi's sacrifice, and how Disney really seems to dislike him the most out of the other TBC characters. It does make me wonder, how would the other Disney characters react to Taran's sacrifice? I imagine that Elionwy, Dallben, Gurgi and Fflewdur Flam would be DEVASTATED.

Taran definitely deserves more time in the spotlight for sure. He's not a bad character at all and it would be fun to see him get more time to grow.

They definitely would be! Especially after coming ao close to already losing one of their band once.

THE BLACK CAULDRON WAS HEAVILY FEATURED IN ONCE UPON A STUDIO!!!

I swear, there is a disney exec out there that secretly loves this movie and wants to give us crumbs whenever possible. Either that or they're trying to us the IP enough that people don't riot for them to relinquish their rights.

But Gurgi was sung to by Pocahontas, Eilonwy was included in the same shot as Snow White, Mulan and Asha!

In the final photo we can see Taran holding Hen, with Eilonwy and Fflewdur, then with the Horned King in the back. Gurgi is on the plane's wing and I believe the character to the right of him is in fact Creature. Like... WHAT. Y'all this is insane. So, so happy they are using this amazing series for what it's worth.

After listening to the AU songs with Disney heroes becoming villains, I had an idea: villain Taran. My only issue is that I cannot decide how he'd turn bad: either he'd be sick and tired of being overshadowed [a reference to how Disney treats TBC], was brainwashed into being a villain, or in an interesting AU idea I had, the Horned King would've found him as a baby and raised him. In the third choice, how do you think the story of The Black Cauldron would've went had Horned King adopted and raised Taran instead of Dallben adopting Taran❓ I'm also partial to the first idea, given Disney loves big crossovers but always ignores The Black Cauldron.

Ooh that would be interesting. Well honestly I don't see him adopting Taran as an actual son or anything. Taran--and this is part of what makes him endearing--when it comes down to it is really just Some Guy. He has no special powers or legacy that would make him valuable for the Horned King. I could see him getting picked up to be raised as a solider loyal to his dread majesty's forces. So their relationship wouldn't be anything close but more of a loyal knight to his leige.

I'll admit I'm always more partia to a happy ending then a sad one so if I were doing this story it would likely skew towards and enemies to friends to lovers thing with Taran and Eilonwy. With Taran being set as a gaurd or even one of those sent to kidnap Eilonwy and her being the thing that starts to show him how evil the Horned King really is so he's conflicted when he finds the sword--

Oh my gosh I just realized my brain was writing the first season of She-Ra xD

Inuyasha x The Black Cauldron

We’ve got Inuyasha and Harumi as princess Eilowny and Taran from Disney The Black Cauldron. If you haven’t seen this movie it’s a very old one and I have to say Disney’s most dark movies they’ve ever done compared to The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This movie did poorly in theaters and made Disney almost bankrupt. Yeah it was that bad.😅 but for me this movie absolutely TERRIFIED me as a child oh my god. Till this day I can’t watch this movie without covering my eyes lol. Even as an adult I’m still terrified of this movie but I still watch it lol. The childhood trauma is there still lol. It was so bad I wanted to sell and get rid of it but my mom wouldn’t let me and made me keep it. If you’ve seen this movie it’s perfect for Halloween time. If you haven’t well then I recommend you do. I learned a while ago now that I’m older that there’s books and I’m actually curious and wanting to read them to see how they are. This movie had a recent anniversary but I can’t remember how many years. This is an underrated Disney movie but it’s still good.
