The Ocean Sciences Building at the University of Washington in Seattle is a brightly modern, four-story structure, with large glass windows reflecting the bay across the street.
On the afternoon of July 7, 2016, it was being slowly locked down.
Red lights began flashing at the entrances as students and faculty filed out under overcast skies. Eventually, just a handful of people remained inside, preparing to unleash one of the most destructive forces in the natural world: the crushing weight of about 2½ miles of ocean water.
In the building’s high-pressure testing facility, a black, pill-shaped capsule hung from a hoist on the ceiling. About 3 feet long, it was a scale model of a submersible called Cyclops 2, developed by a local startup called OceanGate. The company’s CEO, Stockton Rush, had cofounded the company in 2009 as a sort of submarine charter service, anticipating a growing need for commercial and research trips to the ocean floor. At first, Rush acquired older, steel-hulled subs for expeditions, but in 2013 OceanGate had begun designing what the company called “a revolutionary new manned submersible.” Among the sub’s innovations were its lightweight hull, which was built from carbon fiber and could accommodate more passengers than the spherical cabins traditionally used in deep-sea diving. By 2016, Rush’s dream was to take paying customers down to the most famous shipwreck of them all: the Titanic, 3,800 meters below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean.
Engineers carefully lowered the Cyclops 2 model into the testing tank nose-first, like a bomb being loaded into a silo, and then screwed on the tank’s 3,600-pound lid. Then they began pumping in water, increasing the pressure to mimic a submersible’s dive. If you’re hanging out at sea level, the weight of the atmosphere above you exerts 14.7 pounds per square inch (psi). The deeper you go, the stronger that pressure; at the Titanic’s depth, the pressure is about 6,500 psi. Soon, the pressure gauge on UW’s test tank read 1,000 psi, and it kept ticking up—2,000 psi, 5,000 psi. At about the 73-minute mark, as the pressure in the tank reached 6,500 psi, there was a sudden roar and the tank shuddered violently.
“I felt it in my body,” an OceanGate employee wrote in an email later that night. “The building rocked, and my ears rang for a long time.”
“Scared the shit out of everyone,” he added.
The model had imploded thousands of meters short of the safety margin OceanGate had designed for.
In the high-stakes, high-cost world of crewed submersibles, most engineering teams would have gone back to the drawing board, or at least ordered more models to test. Rush’s company didn’t do either of those things. Instead, within months, OceanGate began building a full-scale Cyclops 2 based on the imploded model. This submersible design, later renamed Titan, eventually made it down to the Titanic in 2021. It even returned to the site for expeditions the next two years. But nearly one year ago, on June 18, 2023, Titan dove to the infamous wreck and imploded, instantly killing all five people onboard, including Rush himself.
The disaster captivated and horrified the world. Deep-sea experts criticized OceanGate’s choices, from Titan’s carbon-fiber construction to Rush’s public disdain for industry regulations, which he believed stifled innovation. Organizations that had worked with OceanGate, including the University of Washington as well as the Boeing Company, released statements denying that they contributed to Titan.
A trove of tens of thousands of internal OceanGate emails, documents, and photographs provided exclusively to WIRED by anonymous sources sheds new light on Titan’s development, from its initial design and manufacture through its first deep-sea operations. The documents, validated by interviews with two third-party suppliers and several former OceanGate employees with intimate knowledge of Titan, reveal never-before-reported details about the design and testing of the submersible. They show that Boeing and the University of Washington were both involved in the early stages of OceanGate’s carbon-fiber sub project, although their work did not make it into the final Titan design. The trove also reveals a company culture in which employees who questioned their bosses’ high-speed approach and decisions were dismissed as overly cautious or even fired. (The former employees who spoke to WIRED have asked not to be named for fear of being sued by the families of those who died aboard the vessel.) Most of all, the documents show how Rush, blinkered by his own ambition to be the Elon Musk of the deep seas, repeatedly overstated OceanGate’s progress and, on at least one occasion, outright lied about significant problems with Titan’s hull, which has not been previously reported.
A representative for OceanGate, which ceased all operations last summer, declined to comment on WIRED’s findings.

Clear Insight: Exploring Water Tank Level Indicators and Rainwater Tank Gauges
In the realm of water management, the ability to monitor and gauge water levels is crucial. As environmental consciousness grows, so does the need for efficient use of resources, especially something as precious as water. This is where water tank level indicators and rainwater tank gauges come into play, offering valuable insights into water storage and consumption. In this exploration, we delve into the significance and functionalities of these tools that contribute to better resource management.
Water Tank Level Indicators: Enlightening Water Storage
Water tank level indicators, as the name suggests, provide a visual representation of the water levels within a tank. These ingenious devices have transformed the way we manage our water reserves. By offering real-time information about the amount of water stored, users are empowered to make informed decisions regarding water usage and conservation.
Whether for domestic, agricultural, or industrial purposes, water tank level indicators offer a proactive approach to ensuring a steady water supply. They eliminate the guesswork and uncertainty surrounding water availability, helping users avoid potential shortages and efficiently plan their water usage.
Rainwater Tank Gauges: Harnessing Nature's Bounty
Rainwater harvesting has gained momentum as a sustainable method of augmenting water supplies. Rainwater tanks, when equipped with rainwater tank gauges, become even more effective in optimizing this practice. These gauges provide an accurate measurement of the water collected from rain, allowing users to gauge the efficiency of their harvesting systems.
Rainwater tank gauges serve as essential tools for maximizing the benefits of rainwater collection. By tracking the amount of rainwater accumulated, users can determine the volume available for various purposes such as irrigation, flushing toilets, and laundry. This precise data enables users to make better decisions about when to use harvested rainwater and when to rely on other sources.
The Synergy of Insight
When combined, water tank level indicator and rainwater tank gauges create a powerful synergy that aids in responsible water management. The clear insights provided by these tools empower users to optimize their water usage, reduce wastage, and ensure a consistent supply for their needs. This becomes especially important in regions prone to water scarcity or facing water restrictions.
Furthermore, the data gathered by these devices can contribute to a broader understanding of water consumption patterns. This knowledge is valuable for governments, organizations, and individuals working to address water-related challenges and devise sustainable solutions.
Conclusion
In a world where water conservation is paramount, having a clear understanding of water levels is not just a luxury, but a necessity. Water tank level indicators and rainwater tank gauges offer this clarity, enabling users to take control of their water resources. From individual households to larger institutions, these tools play a pivotal role in promoting efficient water management, contributing to a more sustainable and water-conscious future.

Finally ready to start showing off the project we've been working on for a few weeks.
TRAIN PUZZLE (dot exe) (title pending)
Tumblr media
me and @msasterisk are working on a switching puzzle game set on slimegirl astronaut Eaurp Guz's homeworld. You operate an Advanced Steam switcher to move cars around. The prototype implements a single level, a model railroad Inglenook layout, but there will be other original levels as well.
MsAsterisk has done all of the programming and game engine work, I've done the game design and art assets.
more screenshots and development photos below the cut:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Until the last couple of days, the game has used plain colored boxes for its cars. The first playable version, shown here, was just a pixel art train toy, with no actual game mechanics, but with an external list randomizer you could still run the inglenook game.
The physics was apparently a monumental undertaking to get working, but now it works great!
Tumblr media
i don't remember what this was about. Truncated the vertices to the unit cube or something.
Tumblr media
@thefallencomet's playtesting of the first prototype revealed a severe bug with couplers where switching cars coupled at a distance between three tracks at once would completely break physics. MsAsterisk fixed it by simply breaking couplers when they're too far apart.
Tumblr media
car concept art
Tumblr media
u.i. concept art. The tracks are bonafide pixel art here, but they've since been replaced with all 3D assets. The loco here is a pixelated render done in blender of the advanced steam tank engine model that i made about a month ago.
Tumblr media
control stand model, WIP. We're not sure if we're going to go for this kind of detailed control stand. Why does a steam engine use a control stand that would look more at home on an EMD diesel? It's the magic of Advanced Steam Technology! The actual engine is controlled with actuators and microcontrollers, they're merely operated from the safety of the control cabin. The gauges are for brake cylinder, boiler pressure, steam chest, and speedometer--but no promises about whether these will be functional.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and finally, portraits of the engine crew
More to come as the game continues development.

Running out of gas is pretty embarrassing. The news talks about it a lot more now that the "gas" for many cars is made up of that tingly feeling you get under overhead power lines instead of dead dinosaurs. That makes it even worse when you end up with no dead dinosaurs, despite a convenient and widely-available surplus of places in which to quickly buy them.
Running out of gas close to home is the easy problem to solve. You could walk to the local station, but that's boring. The artful dirtbag relies entirely on scavenging, which works well until all of your thirty or so shitbox 1970s Mopars are all out of gas. That's when you need to step things up a level.
Perhaps you've seen your neighbour's buffed-up Toyota Tundra speeding through a playground zone lately. On the sides of that gargantuan sucker's two thousand dollar bed tent are mounted a thousand dollars worth of fancy jerry cans, to hold extra gas for all his overlanding adventures boondocking in the forest that he never does. He won't notice a missing one: just make sure to get one that's actually full, because I can assure you his monthly payment precludes him from "buying gasoline for looks." Push your shit up to his driveway, pretend to be an off-label Amazon deliveryperson, and help yourself to some petrochemicals.
What happens when you run out of gas far from civilization, though? Doesn't this legitimize Bob Tundra's entire rugged-make-do-survivalist-owning-a-ninety-thousand-dollar-pickup-truck lifestyle? Or at least make you wonder why you didn't bother to check if the gas gauge worked before you tried to drive a new shitbox a thousand miles home? Again, this is a fixable problem. This is why I carry my own piece of survivalist equipment called a "ratchet strap." You simply loop it around the axle of a passing large pickup truck and then hook it on your bumper. Let him tow you home, or at least to the closest gas station (he won't skip many.)
I hope by following these simple tips, you too can avoid being stranded unnecessarily. The largesse of our pickup-truck-owning brethren is ours to share, as long as we don't ask them first or make too much noise drilling a hole in their gas tank (another pro-tip: use a Yankee drill.) Hey, they lifted that truck for a reason. With 8 mpg, they won't even notice it missing.

choreographer! satoru and suguru are a dangerous duo.
not only do they move their bodies in ways you can’t even imagine doing yourself, but they look so incredibly, effortlessly hot while doing so.
gojo is more the playboy of the two. he knows his looks are good, purposefully where slutty tank tops or no shirt at all in videos and pictures. making the most nonchalant moves look so enticing and inviting.
i can imagine him running a hand down his stomach, giving the audience a playful peek at what’s beneath before moving into position.
getou on the other hand is more unintentional. he doesn’t go shirtless like gojo, but the big and baggy ones he wears instead look just as panty-dropping. i think the two will wear sweats and lots of baggy jeans, but suguru likes loose shorts.
his cap he wears mostly always covers majority of his face in videos, so all people can really see is his hair and gauges. (if you guys have seen that one ‘perfume’ dance practice video where people kept saying that one backup dancer with the hat looked like jaehyun, that’s so suguru)
gojo wears a cap too sometimes, but he’ll have it backwards. when getou isn’t wearing a hat, his hair is either down or in a messy bun.
anyways, the two always move in sync and it captures everyone’s eyes. their choreography they made themselves is not only level ten gymnastics practically, but the footwork itself is insanely hard to recreate.
their rhythm is just unmatched.
i feel like they’re a mixture of bruno mars with his charisma, mj with his smoothness, and jimin and jhope with body control and versatility.
they work in a pair, so they’re always together. people thirst over them so much online. satoru bathes in it, but suguru would appreciate if people focused more on his dancing than his looks.

Chapter 7: Joe..
Joshua, Joe, Jonathan, and Joseph all sat together on the main deck, the warmth of the evening air mixing with the cool breeze from the ocean. The sky was painted in shades of pink and orange as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a serene glow over the water. The four men talked among themselves, their voices low and comfortable as they sipped their drinks, the occasional laugh cutting through the soft hum of the night.
Suddenly, the sound of the sliding door opening interrupted their conversation, and they all turned in unison. Demi stepped out onto the deck, her presence immediately commanding attention. She was dressed in a simple yet alluring black camisole tank top paired with denim cut-off shorts. The soft glow of the fading sunset highlighted her fair skin, and the anklet and necklace she wore caught the light, the subtle gleam of the jewelry making her even more captivating.
For a moment, everything seemed to stop. The men watched as Demi walked toward them, her movements confident, yet there was a certain hesitance in her steps, as if she was still figuring out her place in this newfound dynamic. She reached Joshua’s side and without a word, took a seat next to him, her body language still holding a level of caution.
Joe was the first to speak, breaking the quiet tension in the air. His voice was warm, but there was an undercurrent of hope in it, as if he was trying to gauge her reaction.
“Glad to see you joining us, Demi,” he said, offering her a small but genuine smile.
Jonathan, sitting next to Joe, took a sip of his drink and added, “You look good. Glad you came out.”
Demi offered them both a faint smile but said nothing at first. Her eyes flickered between the four men, each of them looking at her with varying degrees of expectation, some more subtle than others. She let out a slow breath, the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the shore providing a quiet backdrop to the stillness.
Joshua leaned slightly toward her, a slight smile on his lips. “You okay?” he asked softly, his voice only audible for Demi to hear.
Demi looked at him, meeting his gaze for a moment before answering, her voice quiet but steady. “I’m not sure yet. I just… needed some time to think,” she said, her gaze drifting toward the horizon, her mind still working through everything that had happened.
Joseph and Jonathan exchanged glances but said nothing, allowing her the space to process her emotions. The atmosphere on the deck was comfortable, the tension from earlier replaced with an unspoken understanding. They all knew the journey ahead would be complicated, but for now, they were content to sit together, each of them processing things in their own way.
Demi shifted slightly in her seat, her legs tucked underneath her. As the sky grew darker, the stars slowly began to emerge, twinkling above like distant promises. There was a sense of peace in the air, but beneath it all, the quiet hum of uncertainty lingered.
After a long pause, Demi finally spoke again, her voice steady but unsure.
“I don’t know where this is going… or what I really want yet,” she said, her eyes scanning the faces of the men sitting around her. “But I’m here, at least. I’m not running away.”
Joe looked at her, his expression soft but intense. “We never wanted you to run away, Demi. We just wanted you to be with us, to let us show you what we can offer.”
Demi didn’t respond immediately, her thoughts swirling. The men were patient, waiting for her to find her words. But in that moment, all she could do was look out over the water, trying to make sense of everything.
As Joshua offered to grab her a drink, Demi shook her head. “I actually could get it myself,” she said, standing up and heading back inside. The tension between her and the group outside was palpable, leaving her uncertain if she was making things harder for herself—or just hard in general.
The cool air inside the beach house greeted her as she walked toward the kitchen. She opened the fridge, staring at its contents for a moment before mumbling, “I guess a sandwich it is.” Pulling out ham and cheese, she began rummaging through the cabinets until she finally found a loaf of bread.
As she assembled her sandwich, the sound of the sliding door opening behind her made her freeze. She didn’t need to turn around to know who it was.
Joe’s deep voice broke the silence. “I could make you something,” he offered.
Demi glanced over her shoulder briefly, then focused on cutting her sandwich in half. “The sandwich is fine,” she said, taking a small bite.
Joe sighed softly, leaning against the counter. “How about this? Watch a movie. Paint, draw… do something to clear your mind,” he said, his tone unusually gentle. “And when you’re ready to sleep again, come lay with me.”
Her chewing slowed, and she glanced at him. His eyes held an earnestness she wasn’t expecting, a glimpse of the man she’d once been so deeply entangled with before things became so complicated.
“Just think about it,” Joe added, grabbing a bottle of whiskey from the counter. Without waiting for her response, he walked back out to the main deck, where Joshua, Jonathan, and Joseph were still seated under the night sky.
Demi sighed, staring down at her half-eaten sandwich. Do something. His words echoed in her mind. She didn’t know what she wanted to do—or what she even could do.
After finishing her sandwich, Demi walked back to her room, the silence of the house wrapping around her like a heavy blanket. She closed the door behind her, exhaling deeply as she peeled off her shorts and replaced them with a pair of soft, gray joggers. She left her camisole on, feeling comfortable enough to keep things casual. She went to the curtains where she adjusted them to let some moonlighting in.
Grabbing the remote, she climbed into bed, tugging the covers up to her chest. Her fingers moved idly over the buttons as she scrolled through the movie options, her mind barely focused on the titles. Then one caught her eye—365 Days.
“Hm, looks interesting,” she muttered to herself, selecting it.
As the movie began, Demi leaned back against the pillows, her initial intrigue fading as her mind began to drift. The scenes on the screen blurred as her thoughts wandered to Joe—not Joe as he was now, but the Joe she had once known.
Before the dynamic.
Before the intensity, the push and pull, the lines blurred beyond recognition. She thought about the simpler moments, when his smile felt like warmth on a cold day, when his touch felt like safety rather than possession. Back when he looked at her like she was his equal, not just his.
Demi’s gaze shifted to the window, where the faint sounds of laughter from the main deck filtered through the air. She wondered how they could still laugh, still bond, after everything that had happened. She didn’t understand how they could compartmentalize so easily while she carried the weight of it all like an anchor tied to her chest.
Her fingers gripped the remote tighter, pausing the movie mid-scene. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, willing herself to let go of the memories, even if just for tonight. But no matter how hard she tried, Joe’s words echoed in her mind: “When you’re ready to sleep again, come lay with me.”
Why did his voice still have that effect on her? Why did the thought of him waiting for her—even now—make her chest tighten and her resolve falter?
Demi shook her head, pressing play again. She needed to focus on the movie, not on the man who seemed to have an unyielding grip on her soul. But as the scene played out, filled with passion and tension, she couldn’t help but feel like the movie was mirroring parts of her own life—parts she wasn’t ready to confront.
Demi watched with keen interest as the movie unfolded. The character Laura lay sprawled on her bed, her hand buried deep in her underwear, the vibrator shoved deep inside of her, the scene switched as Massimo fucked the flight attendants mouth with his cock. Demi felt a familiar warmth spreading between her legs as she watched the woman writhe in pleasure. She thought back to the times when Joe had taken control of their intimate moments together.
“Take it take it take it..”
“Yes please….”
As the scene unfolded and her own memories unraveled in her brain, Demi's hand drifted down to her gray joggers, and she slipped it inside her underwear. She began to rub herself gently, her mind continuously being filled with memories of Joe fucking her from behind. But then she started thinking about Jonathan punishing her..
“You’ve been a bad slave Demi.. and now you must be punished..”
The memory of Jonathan inserting the bullet into her, her own wetness seeping into the sheets. Her rubbing increased, the pleasure starting to rise. Her mind started to drift to Joseph teaching her the importance of begging.. and right now, due to her mind full of lust, she wouldn’t have minded Joseph making her beg for his dick..
“There it is. That’s the desperation I wanted to hear. I’m proud of you, Demi.”
Joseph being proud of Demi turned her on more as she bit her lip, her free hand went to her breast as she flicked her nipple. She let out a moan as her back arched, inserting her own two fingers. She started to thrust in and out and she spread her legs wider to give herself more access.
“I want you to tell me what you want me to do to you..”
Eat my pussy Josh.. she thought, Fuck me until I roll my eyes backwards Joseph… she thought again as her thrusting increased. Spank me until my ass is red, Jon… she thought more as her body withered in the soft sheets. Make me take your dick, Joe.. her moans growing louder as she thought about all four men.
Demi's fingers moved faster as she thought about being shared between all of them for the rest of her life. She knew they all wanted her, and now… in her hazy mind, she wanted them all. Demi's fingers moved faster as she thought about all of their dynamics. She moaned Joseph’s name as she envisioned herself begging for his attention. She moaned Joshua's name as she pictured Joshua going down on her for hours. She moaned Jonathan's name as she felt herself getting spanked again. And finally.. she moaned Joe's name as she felt herself cumming on her fingers. Demi opened her eyes as she attempted to regain her breathing and put it at a normal rate.
Unbeknownst to her, the whole entire scene had been viewed by the four men because of the angle into Demi’s room.
All four men sat in a tense silence on the main deck, their conversation halting as their attention shifted through the open curtains of Demi’s room. The soft glow of her bedside lamp illuminated her as her chest rose, attempting to breathe.
“She really is a beautiful soul,” Joshua said softly, his voice breaking the stillness. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, his eyes locked on her as if she might vanish if he looked away.
Jonathan smirked slightly, “Did you see the way—” Joseph cut him off sharply. “We all saw it.” His tone carried an edge of impatience, though not directed at any of them. It was frustration laced with a hint of protectiveness. “It’s Joe’s turn tonight.”
Joe exhaled heavily, rubbing his hand across his jawline. “For this week.. Vanilla is the only dynamic allowed.” he said, almost to himself. “We pushed too far, too fast last time. If we’re not careful, she’ll close herself off completely.”
“I don’t know if I can do vanilla again..” Jonathan said.
Joe’s lips tightened into a thin line. He glanced toward Demi’s room, watching her finally rise up and fidget with the remote before settling back against the pillows. “We don’t have a choice,” he said firmly. “If we try to force her again, we’ll lose her. And I’m not willing to let that happen.”
Joshua shook his head, leaning back in his chair. “It’s not just about losing her, though, is it? It’s about making her see that we’re the ones who can give her what she’s searching for—stability, trust, love.”
“Love?” Joseph repeated, his eyebrows raised slightly. “You sure she’s looking for that? Because if she is, we might’ve scared her away from it already.”
Joe shot him a warning look. “She’s here, isn’t she? That means there’s still a chance.”
The group fell into silence again, their gazes flickering between each other and the glowing window of Demi’s room. For the first time, the air between them felt heavy, filled with unspoken tension. None of them wanted to admit how deeply she had impacted their lives—or how much of their power she’d unknowingly taken from them.
Demi, who was feeling herself getting sleepy, couldn’t help but think about what Joe had said earlier, “And when you’re ready to sleep again, come lay with me..”
Demi’s thoughts about Joe were a conflict of past love and present confusion. Before the dynamic, their relationship had been a dream—Joe was her safe haven, attentive and loving, making her feel seen and cherished. But now, everything had shifted.
His possessiveness had grown into something darker, entwining love with control. She hated how much he still affected her, how his presence tugged at her despite her anger. Moments like the softness in his eyes earlier reminded her of the man she fell for, but the weight of his current demands left her questioning if she could ever trust him again.
But now.. she thought she could give it one more try?
She took off her gray joggers and only kept her black underwear and black camisole on. She opened the door to her room and left it. She found Joe’s room and she opened the door and stepped in. She saw him sleeping already and she closed the door.
Demi’s mind drifted to the good times with Joe, moments that once made her heart race with joy. She remembered his laugh, deep and contagious, and how he’d hold her close after a long day, whispering sweet reassurances that made her feel invincible.
Joe awoke at the sudden shift in the bed and he smiled when saw Demi. He leaned into kiss her softly and Demi melted in the kiss. His strong arms pulled her on top of him. Demi broke the kiss to pull off her camisole, revealing her breasts. Demi went back to kissing Joe and this time he breaks the kiss and says, “I saw you earlier.”
Demi stopped and said, “What do you mean?”
“I saw you rubbing yourself..” Joe said, omitting that the other men also saw her.
“Did they see too?” Demi asked, her curiosity flaring.
“Did you want them too?” He asked.
“Yes..” She finally admits.
Joe kisses her and he flips them over to the missionary position. He tears apart her underwear and positions himself at her entrance, he doesn’t need to lube her up for obvious reasons. After testing the waters to see how tight she is, he finally slides into her. Joe started to thrust into her slowly, pulling out and sliding back into her. Demi could feel her pussy tightening around his dick.
“I haven’t felt you.. in so long..” Joe struggles to say as he fucks her. Demi is loving every second of it, the two, past and now present lovers, fucking, enjoying the feel are the warmth they were both sharing.
Demi let out a loud moan, her back arching off the bed. Joe set a steady pace, thrusting in and out of her with precision. Each thrust hit her G-spot, sending waves of pleasure through her body.
Before the dynamics, it was rare Joe would fuck her missionary. He normally opted for doggy or reverse cowgirl, any position really to see her ass. But now, she felt everything shift, she essentially was not complaining about it. Her feelings for Joe were still there, after all, even though she never admitted it, she was a virgin when Joe met her.
Demi gasped once more as she felt him slide into her but this time it was different, he was now filling her completely. They moved together in a perfect rhythm, their bodies melding together as he continued to thrust deep and hard.
You see, to Demi, being a virgin at 28 years old is uncommon and very unbelievable. Demi had a pretty face, beautiful skin and a personality that could almost match anyone’s. She was very much a catch, but up until Joe had actively pursued her, she had turned every one down.
Joe used the headboard as leverage, sending Demi into a deep haze of lust. Demi could feel herself getting close, her breathing becoming ragged as she moaned and cried out.
Demi could not believed it when Joe approached her that one night, it was Smackdown, she had been there for her first night to see her storyline come to life for the very first time. The way he carried himself, it was how real man carried himself.. and the way he looked at her is the way all girls wanted to be looked at.
"I missed all of you so much," she gasped, her nails digging into Joe's back.
Then, what shocked Demi the most, he invited her for a drink in his tour bus at the time. She took the invitation and when she arrived, she had seen him just getting out of the shower, a towel covering his most intimate areas, the way his tattoos glistened from the water. It awakened Demi in a way she had never been awaken from, Joe had approached her and said “You could touch me..” Demi was a bit scared cause she didn’t know how to properly touch a man.
Joe's thrusts became more urgent as he felt himself getting close. "Do you see what you do to me?" he growled, his voice full of desire.
Once Demi had said “can you show me?” She had knew she’d unleashed this lion within Joe. Demi had also wondered, if he knew she was a virgin. It was something about the way Joe showed her to touch him, it was also very different for Demi because, no man had ever come close to make her feel the way Joe made her feel… that is until Jonathan, Joseph and Joshua came in to play. Now, as she is getting fucked senselessly by the man that deflowered her, she is getting more honest with herself.. that maybe.. just maybe… all she needed was four Samoans.
“Yes yes..” She cried out. “Let them hear you baby..” Joe moaned as he was now going crazy, the headboard now hitting the wall repeatedly, the springs in the bed creaking, everything was going so fucking great.
“You gonna cum for sir?” Joe managed to ask. “Yes sir.. yes sir.. yes sirrrrrrr..” Demi struggled to say, his cock was somehow now hitting her G Spot harder than ever.
Joe kept fucking Demi harder and faster. Demi could once again feel another orgasm building inside her.
"Fuck, Joe," she cried out, her pussy clenching around his cock tightly, Joe couldn’t hold it anymore, the way her pussy pulsated, the way it emitted this different type of warmth.
"I'm gonna cum," he groaned. She nodded, biting her lip.
"Sir, cum inside me, please..” she said as she kept taking his deep thrusts even after he came, obviously fucked into consensual oblivion.
He groaned once more as his cock started twitching inside her as he came. She could feel him filling her up, and it was amazing. He collapsed on top of her, his breath hot against her neck.
He pulled out of her softly, laying beside her. He pulled her into a hug, his arms wrapped around her.
"I missed you so much," she whispered, her head resting on his chest. He kissed the top of her head, his arms tightening around her.
The room fell into a gentle silence as Joe held Demi close, her breathing steadying as she drifted off in his arms. He looked down at her, a soft smile forming on his lips. For the first time in three months, she seemed at ease, even if only for a fleeting moment.
Joe brushed a strand of hair from her face and whispered, “Take all the time you need, Demi.” His words carried both hope and patience, a quiet promise to meet her where she was.
As the night deepened, Joe stayed awake, his thoughts racing between the past and the possibilities of what could be. Despite everything, holding her again felt right. And even if the road ahead was uncertain, he was willing to walk it at her pace.
Outside, the faint sound of waves lapping at the shore provided a soothing backdrop, wrapping them both in a fragile sense of peace.
7:21 AM
Demi woke to the sound of birds chirping, the warm sunlight streaming through the windows, and the soft rise and fall of Joe’s breathing beside her. She rubbed her eyes, slowly waking up, her mind still hazy from sleep. As her gaze shifted to Joe, still sleeping peacefully beside her, a wave of emotion washed over her. She hoped she was right..
She carefully untangled herself from his arms, not wanting to disturb him, and made her way out of his room. Quickly she walked to her room, hoping none of the men would see her naked.
Inside her room, she quickly jumped into the shower. The water washed over her, and for another brief moment, she let herself relax.
After her shower, she brushed her teeth and dressed in a simple tank top and shorts. It felt easy, comfortable. The way things used to be before all the complications.
She left her room, heading toward the kitchen. She was trying to find some sense of normalcy again. When she entered, Jonathan was already there, making breakfast. The familiar scent of waffles filled the air, and Demi couldn’t help but smile a little.
Jonathan turned as he heard her footsteps and offered a warm smile. “Blueberry or chocolate chip?” he asked, motioning toward the waffle maker.
“Blueberry,” she replied, her voice still a little soft from just waking up.
Jonathan’s smile widened as he quickly mixed the batter and poured it into the waffle maker. He seemed to be in his element, moving around the kitchen with ease, and it made Demi feel a little more at ease, too. It was almost as if he was the kind of person who could make even something as simple as breakfast feel like a calm moment.
As he assembled her plate, he set it down in front of her, the waffles steaming and golden brown. On the plate, there were eggs, sausage, and toast alongside the waffles. The smell was inviting, and for a moment, she let herself enjoy the simplicity of it all.
He leaned over and kissed her on the cheek, his lips brushing her skin. Demi was a little surprised but didn’t pull away. She met his gaze, and for a second, she felt something shift. Jonathan looked at her expectantly.
“You could kiss me on the lips,” Demi said quietly, almost teasingly.
Jonathan grinned, leaning in to give her a quick kiss on the lips, a soft and lingering moment that caught her off guard. The warmth of it made her pulse quicken and as he pulled an away, she wondered about the men that had consumed her soul.. once again.
“Hope you like the waffles,” he said, sitting down across from her with his own plate.
Demi picked up her fork, cutting into the waffle, and took a bite. It was warm and comforting. But as she chewed, her thoughts drifted to Joe. To the night before. To everything that had led her here.
She was beginning to wonder if maybe she had been wrong to shut herself off. Maybe there was a way to make this work.
As Demi continued to eat her waffle, the sound of the front door opening drew her attention. She turned to see Joshua and Joseph walking in, carrying bags from their trip to town. Joshua was the first to approach her, leaning down to place a soft kiss on her cheek.
“Good morning,” he said warmly, his voice low and steady.
Joseph followed suit, giving her a small kiss on the forehead before setting the bags down on the counter. “Morning, Demi,” he greeted with a faint smile.
Demi blinked at them, slightly taken aback by their casual affection. It was still so new, this quiet acceptance of their touch, but she found herself relaxing into it more than she expected.
“Where did you guys go?” she asked, trying to mask her lingering awkwardness.
Joseph answered as he began unpacking. “We went into town to grab more alcohol and a few things we needed. I was out of shampoo.”
Demi nodded, her gaze shifting between the two of them. “So… what’s the plan for today?” she asked, curiosity tinged with apprehension.
Joshua leaned against the counter, his arms crossed as he spoke. “I’m grilling tonight for all of us. Thought we could do a proper Samoan-style feast.”
Jonathan chimed in from across the room, flipping a waffle onto his plate. “And after we eat, we could check out this little club in Pago Pago. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s got good music.”
Demi hesitated, her brows furrowing slightly. “I don’t think I have anything that qualifies as club attire.”
The three men exchanged amused glances before Joshua spoke again, a teasing smile tugging at his lips. “Demi, you’re in Samoa. Club attire here isn’t exactly what it is in the States.”
Jonathan chuckled. “Yeah, shorts, a tank top, maybe a dress if you’re feeling fancy—you’ll fit right in.”
Demi gave a small laugh, her tension easing just a little. The thought of going to a club with them was both exciting and nerve-wracking. She wasn’t sure how she’d navigate the attention they might draw—or her own feelings, for that matter—but the idea of experiencing something new with them felt… manageable.
“Alright,” she said, her tone cautious but open. “I’ll think about it.”
Jonathan winked at her. “That’s all we ask.”
Joshua smirked. “And if you need help picking something out, just let us know.”
Demi rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress the small smile tugging at her lips. “Thanks, but I think I’ve got it covered.”
As the men returned to their conversation, Demi’s mind wandered back to her earlier thoughts. Maybe today could be a chance to push her boundaries a little further, to see what this dynamic could really be like outside the walls of the beach house. The idea scared her, but it also sparked a flicker of curiosity.
For now, though, she finished her breakfast, letting the warmth of their banter surround her as she prepared for whatever the day might bring.
About an hour after finishing her breakfast, Demi changed into her purple string bikini and carefully applied sunscreen, her fingers gliding over her sun-kissed skin. She slipped on her sandals and stepped out onto the private deck, savoring the warmth of the wooden surface beneath her feet.
She vaulted gracefully over the deck’s railing, landing softly on the warm sand below. The beach stretched out before her, inviting and serene, and she began her slow walk toward the ocean. The grains of sand clung to her sandals, so she slipped them off as she neared the shoreline, letting the cool, soft sand cushion her steps.
The ocean was a masterpiece—clear, pristine, and glistening under the morning sun. Demi marveled at the way the sunlight painted the waves with a golden glow, reflecting back like shattered glass. Stepping into the water, she let the gentle waves lap at her legs, cooling her instantly.
She waded further in, tilting her head back to allow the ocean to wet her hair. The sensation was pure bliss, the heat of the day countered by the cool embrace of the sea. Floating lightly, her body moved with the rhythm of the waves, and for the first time in a while, her mind felt quiet.
She had no sense of how long she’d been out there until a sharp whistle broke through the sounds of the surf. Turning toward the shore, she spotted Joe standing there, his muscular frame striking against the backdrop of the sand and sun. He wore black and red swim trunks that clung to his toned body, and his hair was pulled back into his signature bun, accentuating his sharp features.
“Mind if I join you?” he called, his voice warm and teasing.
Demi smiled and gestured for him to come in. “Of course,” she replied.
Joe made his way into the water, the small waves parting around him as he approached her. Once he was close, he leaned in and kissed her softly, the saltwater adding a faint tang to his lips. Demi instinctively wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders, pulling him closer for a moment before gently pulling away.
As they floated together in the water, Demi finally broke the silence, her voice quiet but resolute. “I think I made the right choice.”
Joe tilted his head, studying her expression. “You’re sure?” he asked, his tone free of judgment, just curiosity.
She nodded, her gaze steady. “I am.”
Joe smiled, his hand brushing her damp hair away from her face. “If you really want,” he began cautiously, “tonight… you can be with Josh.”
Demi blinked, slightly taken aback by his openness. “What if I wanted to be with both of you… at the same time?”
Joe chuckled softly, his deep voice resonating with amusement. “Then we’d make it work.”
Demi felt her cheeks flush as she looked into his dark eyes. His confidence, paired with his unwavering support of her choices, was both comforting and thrilling. She knew what tonight would bring, but for the first time in a long time, she felt free to explore what she had never done before.
Flashback: December 7th, 2024
“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN SHE LEFT?!” Joe’s voice thundered through the hotel room, his anger palpable as he glared at Joseph.
Joseph, ever the stoic, kept his composure, refusing to be rattled. His quiet strength made him the enforcer in the ring and outside of it, and he wasn’t about to falter now. He lowered his gaze briefly, then repeated the words that seemed to light Joe’s fuse.
“She’s done,” Joseph said evenly, recounting Demi’s words from their earlier conversation at the breakfast buffet.
Joe’s jaw clenched as he stepped closer, his towering presence brimming with fury. Joshua and Jonathan stood off to the side, their expressions filled with unease as they watched the tension between Joe and Joseph escalate.
“I told you to fix it,” Joe growled, his voice dangerously low. “And what did you do?”
Joseph didn’t flinch. “I didn’t fix it,” he said simply, meeting Joe’s seething glare with unwavering eye contact.
The tension boiled over as Joe raised his hand, his intention clear, but Joseph caught it mid-air with lightning-fast reflexes. His grip was firm, his voice ice-cold.
“That may work with Josh,” Joseph said, his tone razor-sharp. “But it doesn’t fucking work with me.”
For a moment, the room was deathly silent, the air thick with barely restrained violence. Joe slowly pulled his hand back, his fury now directed at all three of them.
“Go fucking fix the dynamic that you all broke,” Joe spat, his voice filled with venom.
Jonathan, finally unable to stay silent, stood up and interjected. “What the hell did I do?” he asked, his voice tinged with frustration.
Joseph didn’t miss a beat. “I sure as fuck didn’t do nothing neither,” he said, his words cutting through the room like a blade.
Joe’s gaze flicked between the three of them—Jonathan, Joshua, and Joseph. His cousins, his most trusted, and now, in his eyes, his greatest disappointments.
With a voice full of malice, Joe finally spoke. “We’ve never had a submissive willing to leave after a week. You all need to fix this because it’s each and every one of your faults.”
And with that, Joe stormed out of the hotel room, the door slamming behind him.
As the echoes of Joe’s anger faded, the three men were left in silence, the weight of his words hanging over them. Jonathan sank back onto the couch, running a hand through his hair.
Joshua broke the silence. “He’s not wrong, you know,” he said quietly, guilt creeping into his voice.
Jonathan crossed his arms, his jaw tight. “We all fucked up. Now we have to figure out how to fix it before it’s too late.”
Joshua thought about Jonathan saying ‘we’, cause as far he was concerned, he didn’t think he did anything to make Demi leave.
Joseph nodded, though his expression remained troubled. “If she’s really done,” he said, his voice heavy, “then how do we even begin to fix this?”
The room fell into a tense silence once more, the three men grappling with the realization that the dynamic they had built—and fractured—was now hanging by a thread.
-
Meanwhile, Demi stood at the counter of Southwest Airlines, her phone in one hand and her wallet tucked under her arm. Pulling her driver’s license and debit card from the back of her phone case, she slid them across the counter to the clerk.
“One way to Stamford, Connecticut,” she said, her voice steady but detached.
As the clerk began typing on the computer, Demi opened her banking app to check her account balance to see how much she can spend on a plane ticket. Her eyes widened at the number staring back at her.
WELLS FARGO CHECKING …0009: Available Balance: $17,827.98.
She let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. The benefits of their twisted arrangement, she thought bitterly. They may have been emotionally and physically draining, but they were never cheap when it came to her. Shaking her head, she tried to push the thought away and refocus on the present.
The clerk interrupted her thoughts. “I have a flight leaving in twenty minutes from Terminal 655. First class is $973.72. Would you like that?”
Demi nodded without hesitation. “Yes, that’s fine.”
The clerk finalized her ticket, printing out the boarding pass before sliding it back across the counter along with her license and card.
“You’ll want to head straight to security,” the clerk said, a polite but professional smile on her face. “Have a safe trip.”
Demi muttered a quick thanks before grabbing her things and heading toward the terminal. As she walked, she felt the weight of her decision settle over her. Stamford wasn’t just home—it was an escape. From them, from the chaos, from the complicated feelings she hadn’t yet sorted out.
But as much as she wanted to leave it all behind, part of her wondered if running was just delaying the inevitable. The truth was, no matter how far she went, she couldn’t escape the reality that their lives—and hearts—were still intertwined.
“Focus, Demi,” she whispered to herself as she approached security. “Get on the plane first. Figure out the rest later.”
With her boarding pass in hand and determination in her step, she walked toward a future that felt uncertain yet, for the first time in days, entirely her own.
As Demi landed in Stamford, Connecticut, she didn’t head directly to her apartment. Instead, she pulled out her phone, her fingers trembling slightly as she dialed her dad’s number. After a few rings, he answered.
“Hello, cupcake! How are you?” her dad’s voice greeted her warmly.
Demi forced a smile, though he couldn’t see it. “Hey, dad! I’m okay.”
Her dad, ever the protective father, asked, “You sure? You sound a bit off.”
Demi quickly masked her emotions. “Yeah, everything’s fine. Just… the apartment complex is fumigating my apartment, and they don’t want to help me into another unit. I was wondering if you have any rental properties that aren’t listed for your AirBnb’s? I could really use a place.”
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line. “Well, first, I’d sue the apartment complex. Those greedy assholes, all they want is their money! But I’ve got a couple of places you can use. I have a condo on the Stamford waterfront, and there’s a little cottage about 40 minutes outside of Stamford.”
Demi sighed with relief. “Can I use the cottage until I can get this all figured out?”
Her dad immediately softened. “Of course, sweetheart. Anything for my baby girl. The keys are underneath the bear statue holding the wine bottle. Love you.”
“Love you too,” Demi replied, hanging up the phone. She exhaled, feeling a mixture of guilt and relief, but there was no time to dwell on it. She had to leave.
Her cab pulled up to her apartment, and she hesitated for just a moment. The weight of the decision to leave the four men behind—still felt heavy in her chest. She had to get away, though. She couldn’t stay here, surrounded by reminders of everything that had gone wrong.
With determination, she grabbed her bags and hurried inside. The apartment was quiet, almost too quiet, and as she walked through the familiar space, her body tensed, and her mind flashed to Jonathan’s punishment—sharp and unforgiving—but she quickly forced the thought away. No time for that now.
She rushed around the apartment, throwing clothes and personal items into two suitcases. She moved quickly, almost mechanically, knowing she couldn’t stay any longer. When she was satisfied with what she packed, she grabbed the suitcases and headed for her car.
She tossed the bags into the trunk, slammed it shut, and slid into the driver’s seat. The engine roared to life as she sped off, leaving her past behind, or at least trying to. She had to go. She had to get away.

Not a request for full stories (unless you want to later on) Just typical mer eggs's rambles
But we will need to think about something about jade in captivity now. Maybe a small ramble?
What if both the twins were caught together maybe?
Ooooooo What if Floyd and/or Jade were the princess's present instead of Azul!!!
What if the princess wasn't the first born and wasn't married off?
Sincerely,
Mer Eggs Anon (idk why I sign off so weirdly every time lol-)
Jade in captivity!!!! Oh, he's a menace, even more so than Floyd usually is. Jade will intentionally act like he isn't super intelligent and witty when he's interacting with the researchers just so they won't think anything more of his capabilities. He keeps a lot of things about himself hidden, like the fact that he can mostly understand human speech and body language after observing it for so long. He is cooperative when it comes to the usual check-ups, but he draws the line at things like the researchers trying to poke and prod at intimate, sensitive areas like his gills or slit or fins. Jade smiles so cordially, speaking in calm clicks (though none of the researchers ever know that he's cursing them or saying terrible things about them in mermish lol).
His vocabulary isn't the biggest when it comes to human words, but he knows most of the basics. It's how he's able to communicate a little with you, but he waits a very long time before he actually speaks to you, gauging your threat level and whether or not he both trusts you enough to be entertaining and also if he likes you. You're so used to hearing his clicks and whistles and chitters, so when you hear a silky-smooth "Good morning," from him you nearly jump out of your skin. orz Jade loves to surprise...
:o omg if Floyd and Jade were gifted to Reader instead of Azul... there are so many possibilities. Unlike Azul who has mostly civil relations with the palace staff (up until the day he's transferred back to the sea, that is), Floyd and Jade are fearsome and unsettling. They intentionally scare the staff, only ever softening when you're around. They're small and mostly harmless as elvers (only because it's an unfamiliar environment and they have to assess every danger while conserving energy in case they do need to drop the harmless act and fight), so it's a great shock when they both quickly outgrow their tank. They grow to be such big, strong eels. T_T it terrifies the staff whenever they pass the pool and spy the twins peering out from the depths, but you've never once been scared. Sure, the twins can be...odd with their morbid humor and way of doing things, but they're your friends and they've never given you a reason to fear them.
In the event that you aren't betrothed, things are pleasant. You live within the palace, spending plenty of time with the both of them. When they reach sexual maturity and breeding season rolls around, things get difficult. You don't know nearly as much about eel mers as you should, so when they're coaxing you into the pool you feel a little worried. You don't trust their sticky smiles and drawling voices, and the way their bodies flush so brightly, the patterns nearly hypnotic with how vivid they are, something stirs within you. You feel bad about running off when they may need your help, but it's the first time you've felt unsafe around them.
The twins resolve to try a gentler, less direct approach. One way or another, you'll eventually find yourself sandwiched between them, their tails curling between your legs in the water. Even though you aren't betrothed, it's still a scandal if the princess falls pregnant before she's even found someone to marry. The circumstances are a little unique, though. Even the physician can't quite wrap their head around how it's possible, but the proof lies in your womb. Jade and Floyd filled you with two entire clutches and it leaves you so unwieldy and gravid. But you're just too precious. Now that they've claimed you as theirs, you won't ever have to entertain the idea of marriage to another human. :)
It may get boring living out cyclical days in the palace pool, but at least they have you. And one day they'll find a way to escape back to the sea. Once they do, they'll take you and the fry with them to pursue a happily ever after in the ocean. <3

A hero Hiro and his party
My cringe rambles below the cut- because I can never be short winded!
Hi welcome to the cringe rambles
Okay okay, stupid things I headcannoned:
Hiro
Class: Paladin
Weapon: Gamma sword
Stats: Balanced
Magic: Fire, wind, electric, light, dark (mid level spells)
I want some cool way to incorporate the whole Gammamon thing. Was thinking his sword at least would be cursed and be something only he can control. Maybe the sword can have different modes like the Monado to represent the other evolutions? There's some clever way to incorporate the Gamma gimmick, I just can't fully think of it....
Ruli
Class: Theif/Assassin if that's not too dark
Weapon: Dual daggers
Stats: High attack and speed, low sp. attack and HP
Magic: Wind (low level spells)
The mysterious masked Lirurun!
I know typically the theif class has terrible defense but while I was making these designs I kept going between if she should be a berserker tank like Lamortmon or be a speed type attacker like SymbareAngoramon and Diarbbitmon. Ultimately, I think it'd be cool if she was kind of a blend between the two classes
Kiyoshiro
Class: Cleric
Weapon: Staff (not pictured)
Stats: High sp. attack and HP, low attack and defense
Magic: Healing, electric (high level spells)
Church of Thetis' youngest priest!
Yes this is a fantasy setting, but his wrapped hand still has to hold no significance
His silly little integer overflow/limit break is perfect for an rpg gimmick, but I wouldn't want him to have a special gauge or anything if the others don't. Maybe he can have high healing/low spells initially and then flip to low healing/high spells if his HP is half or less to represent that? Oh that'd be so annoying.... (Also Ruli needs a gimmick)
Digimon-wise, I initially liked the idea of the partners also joining the party for a full team of 6 but I think they'd be too similar to the humans, plus I borrowed too much of the digimon's design for the overall aesthetic of the party not to look boring with digimon included.
My friend came up with the idea that the Digimon could be like spirits, that only certain humans have the ability to perceive, kinda like....
Ghosts.
Ha.
Anyway, if I go with that idea, the digimon could either bless their human with power or they could just be silly little guys that accompany the party.
Wouldn't it be funny if the digimon were the ones that sit back while the humans fight? Okay moving on...
I think Airdramon would be the first form of travel, then Ginryumon to get to other locations. (Then, maybe possibly HoverEspimon for the final form of travel, if I must incorporate them)
Also, clearly Blacktailmon Uver. Acts as a traveling merchant for items and such
And there's gotta be sidequests to add more members of the digimon gang (which means Labramon sidequest!!)
OKAY I'LL ACTUALLY SHUT UP NOW
I'm sorry to put you through that ^^" would love to hear if others have any neat ideas of incorporating stuff from the show into an rpg setting, I am  s u c h a sucker for that kinda thing

How to Make a Water Tank Level Indicator for a Water Tank?
Managing water resources is very essential whether for domestic, agricultural, or industrial purposes. A water tank level indicator will help you monitor the levels of water efficiently and save water as well as energy. Instead of spending a fortune on a readymade device, you can create one at home with simple materials and basic technical skills. In this all-inclusive guide, we'll explain how to make a water tank level indicator for a water tank, including several methods and tips.
A water tank level indicator is a device showing the water level inside a given tank. Overflows can thus be prevented; water availability ensures, and more importantly, such devices support conservation efforts. This device comes in different types of electronic, float-based, and visual indicators: a water level staff gauge, or a water level gauge. Now, let's look at some benefits using a water tank level indicator before proceeding to the DIY process:
Tumblr media
Prevents Overflows: Avoid wastage by monitoring the water level and shutting off the supply when the tank is full. Conserve Water: It keeps track of usage and will easily detect leaks. Energy Saving: Since it reduces the function of pumps unnecessarily. Ease of Use: Offers clear, real-time information about the water level. Materials Needed to Build a Water Tank Level Indicator Making a Basic Water Tank Level Indicator
Float material: Ball, plastic container; Float shaft material (aluminum/PVC pipe of suitable length/size). ; Visual aid: clear plastic tube/staff gauge The screws/brackets holding this all together. Any electric wiring or sensing devices to help you sense what to do in addition to wiring power to make them work. Electrical Power if you opt to make your own, electronic device. Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Water Tank Level Indicator
Decide the Type of Indicator Choose between:
Mechanical Indicators: Use a float and a rod to show the level visually. Electronic Indicators: Include sensors and LED lights for precise level readings.
Measure the Tank Understand the dimensions of your tank to customize the indicator. Knowing the height is critical for calibrating your water level staff gauge or float.
Assemble the Float System Attach the float to one end of the rod. The length of the rod should be equal to the height of the tank. The float should move freely with the water level.
Installation of the Gauge For a water level gauge, mount it externally using a transparent tube connected to the tank at the bottom and top. The water level in the tube will reflect the tank's level. For a staff gauge, calibrate markings on the rod and mount the rod so it moves up and down with the float.
Add Sensors for an Electronic Version Mount sensors at several points inside the tank (for example, empty, half, full). Connect sensors to an LED indicator or buzzer using wire. Test connections with a power source.
Secure the Indicator Screw and brackets attach the system to the tank. Make sure the parts are waterproof and rugged. Alternative Methods for Measuring Water Level Stick Gauge A stick gauge is a very simple, robust device that industrial practitioners frequently utilize. It is made from good-quality material so that calibration of this gauge will give the water level reading clearly.
Self-Made Visual Gauge A clear pipe may be marked with levels indicating the height of the tank, so by simply glancing at the gauge, water levels are noticed.
Smartphone-based Integration A high-tech approach could include using IoT sensors and a mobile app to track the water levels remotely.
Maintenance Tips for Your Water Tank Level Indicator Regular Cleaning: The float and rods should be clean of debris. Check Connections: Screws must be tightened and wires inspected. Test Sensors: If it is an electronic system, ensure to check them regularly so that the reading will be correct. Common Mistakes to Avoid Improper Calibration: Ensure your markings match the actual tank dimensions. Poor-Quality Materials: Employ robust materials to withstand water immersion. Disregard Safety Precautions: When dealing with electricity, ensure that all connections are well insulated. Why Building a DIY Water Tank Level Indicator is an Excellent Project A DIY water tank level indicator is inexpensive and friendly to the environment. You get to have your device as you want it, and at the same time, you get to learn the process. Materials Available for You For high-quality parts such as a water level staff gauge, visit trusted suppliers like Nikeson. They offer durable products suitable for both DIY and professional setups.
Conclusion A water tank level indicator is an invaluable tool for efficient water management. By following this guide, you can build a reliable system at home, ensuring you never run out of water or face overflows. Whether you choose the simple float-based system or an electronic indicator with all the whistles and bells, the bottom line is you will have a smarter, greener way of monitoring your water tank. Now, gather all your materials and follow these steps to enjoy your DIY water level indicator!

NATO will call for all 32 members to put in place civil defense plans in case of an Article 5-level attack at the alliance’s Washington summit, officials familiar with the plan told Foreign Policy.
“We’re going to push the idea in Washington that all allies should commit to having some kind of national planning process that brings together both the military planning and civilian planning for Article 5,” said one NATO official, speaking anonymously based on conditions set by the alliance.
The move is part of an ongoing effort within NATO to prepare for a possible future Russian attack on the alliance that members believe is likely to include long-range missile strikes, disinformation, disruption of ports, and assaults on the energy grid—similar to what the Ukrainians have faced during the country’s full-scale invasion.
The expectation is that countries may have to plan to fend for themselves while they wait for NATO’s political leaders to decide whether to invoke self-defense.
“You have to be capable of being defendable while waiting for Article 5 to come into play,” said Dalia Bankauskaite, a nonresident senior fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis, a Washington-based think tank. “You have to be self-sufficient for self-defense within your territory with whatever resources you have.”
The notion that Europe has to prepare for war after NATO’s 75 mostly peaceful years of post-World War II life is slowly becoming the status quo in many allied governments as they grapple with a resurgent Russia that is picking itself up off the canvas from the initial beating it took in Ukraine far faster than anyone expected. But the alarm bells are coming as a shock to the global public square.
Swedish defense chief Gen. Micael Byden’s January statement that all Swedes should mentally prepare for conflict went viral on TikTok. Frightened children and teens flooded the telephone lines of Sweden’s largest child protection group. Then-British Army chief Gen. Patrick Sanders called on Britons to get ready for a level of mobilization not seen since World War II, forcing the press flacks at No. 10 Downing St. to clarify that they weren’t reinstating the draft. (Sanders also got a tongue-lashing from his boss.) German officials have even suggested that Russia could conduct missile attacks against NATO countries.
The reaction within NATO has been to call on member states to further link military planning and civil planning in the event of a regional war. “Deterrence is not only something for the minister of defense and the armed forces—it is a whole-of-society event,” said Royal Netherlands Navy Adm. Rob Bauer, the chair of NATO’s Military Committee. “Financial institutions have a role to play. Industry has a role to play. We need the right infrastructure in our nations to transport military equipment over roads, over bridges. A bridge has to be able to carry a tank.”
NATO countries need sufficient harbor facilities, airports, rail gauges, and energy infrastructure that are not dependent on a small handful of nations. The idea is for each country to have a plan for ensuring continuity of civil government, food, and fuel in the event of a crisis, NATO officials said.
NATO will also have to think about how to deconflict roads and transportation networks in a war if masses of people move west while tanks and logistics trains move east. Countries such as Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland are coming up with plans to evacuate civilians at least 50 miles from the front lines of a conflict with Russia, Bankauskaite said.
The problem of preparedness for an alliance covering more than 10 million square miles and 970 million people—about 4 million of them in uniform—is sprawling. It doesn’t lend itself well to neatly drawn government organizational charts and jurisdictional boundaries; it’s somewhere between defense and homeland security.
But the idea that NATO members need to build up antibodies to resist an attack dates back to the alliance’s founding. Eight years ago, NATO leaders built on that foundation with seven planning requirements for resilience. And they added to that in the 2023 Vilnius summit communique, calling resilience a basis for credible deterrence and defense.
Still, there’s no 2 percent standard for resilience. Just as NATO nations have the ability to set their own defense budgets and structure their own militaries to fit their plans, officials said, member states are likely to be able to set their own requirements for civil defense. The standards will vary from country to country.
“It doesn’t have to be the same, because each country is different,” said one Nordic official involved in the planning. “But everybody should have a minimum level of resilience.”
NATO also has a pool of civil experts to build capacity for resilience in countries that are less prepared. The European Union also has pre-positioned medical stockpiles and supplies of equipment to protect civilians from chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
Some think that the urgency is still being driven by the United States putting more and more troops in Europe to reinforce NATO soil against Russia. “Since the beginning of this war, the U.S. presence in Europe has steadily gained,” said retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Philip Breedlove, a former NATO supreme allied commander and head of U.S. European Command. “What we see today are further refinements and continued efforts toward getting more ready.”
Historically, the Nordic countries have set the pace for NATO, and many of the new alliance members in the region are already out in front. Newly minted NATO member Sweden has a so-called “total defense” plan that calls on every citizen between the ages of 16 and 70 to help the nation prepare for war, whether through military conscription or assisting with emergency services. Stockholm is set to update the plans this year. They’ve been learning from the Ukrainians: Swedish Civil Defense Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin has made multiple visits to Kyiv since the Russian invasion began.
Sweden, which already regularly issues a pamphlet to all 10 million citizens with checklists for how to prepare for a terrorist attack or war, plans to update it later this year. “It will reflect the more dire security situation that we are finding ourselves in now,” Bohlin said. There is even consideration about whether to invoke civil conscription for the rescue services.
Finland, which has universal male conscription, can mobilize 300,000 reservists to fight with a snap of its fingers. The Finns also have a rule of thumb to stockpile enough food, water, and medicine to last 72 hours. Helsinki has increased stockpiling requirements for petroleum by businesses and government entities to a five-month supply. Even the mindset in Finland is changing toward a more wartime economy, the Nordic official said.
Countries have also begun dusting off and tallying up their Cold War-era bomb shelters. Sweden has 65,000 shelters, enough for about 7 million people. Finland has 50,500 shelters, with space for about 90 percent of Finns. Norway has some 20,000, enough for about half the population.
The Baltic countries took up “total defense” plans after the Kremlin’s annexation of Crimea and invasion of the Donbas in 2014. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are building a 600-mile line of defense installations along their borders with Russia. Latvia has reinstated a military draft.
These are necessary measures, Baltic officials said, with Russia already conducting low-level hybrid warfare activities on NATO soil, from vandalism to beatings of dissidents in Eastern Europe.
“We know for a fact that there is an active kinetic activity happening in the Baltic states, in the wider region, today,” Gabrielius Landsbergis, Lithuania’s top diplomat, said at an event in March at the National Press Club in Washington. “Russia is able to have people for hire that would in some cases vandalize buildings, tear down the flags—such things that have happened in Lithuania—and attack people.”
The call for new civil defense requirements is a window into how European societies are changing—and how they will need to change—in light of Russia’s growing military threat. Russia has fired missiles at Ukraine’s electrical grid, kidnapped Ukrainian children, and attacked the transit corridors for much of the world’s grain. NATO is preparing for Russian President Vladimir Putin to use the same playbook in an Article 5-level assault on the allies.
“It’s not only about military effects,” said Bauer, the NATO military chief. “It’s also about hybrid warfare. It’s about energy. It’s about migration. It’s about food. All these things have been used by Putin [and] will be used again by Putin.”
A new reality of preparing for war could have expansive ripple effects on civilian life after seven decades of mostly peaceful times on the continent. But NATO nations will need a plan to deal with Russia’s efforts to target civilians—through attacks on critical infrastructure and buildings, neighborhoods, and schools as well as through disinformation that has been on display in two years of full-scale war in Ukraine.
NATO militaries have become adept at dealing with small numbers of wounded soldiers in the past two decades, as most of the alliance fought in Afghanistan. But in an Article 5-level war, there might be mass military and civilian casualties all at once, and hospitals may need to run around the clock.
The logic goes that the quicker NATO countries can prepare, the readier they will be for massive numbers of troops to flow in. Especially in NATO’s front-line states, where nations are on heightened alert about Russia’s hybrid threats, there’s a desire to start pushing back.
“They are pushing the line,” said Landsbergis, the Lithuanian foreign minister. “They are testing us. And I’m sure that somewhere down the line, we will have to start pushing back

re: talk of Burn, do you have any idea why Yang's aura clearly broke when Neo struck her in V8 (right after activating Burn)? my theory is that perhaps activating her semblance does something like Tock's where it makes her aura manifest more solidly on her body (which is how it can make her hair light on fire) and therefore also, like Tock, means that her aura is more vulnerable. to me this would also explain why Yang would use it as a finisher at first; using it when she's already going to run out of aura makes it, in a sense, less dangerous because she's already gotten most of the other uses out of her aura that she can get.
would love to know if you think this is accurate, or what you actually think is going on with yang's semblance on a mechanical level (if you're interested in that anyway)
first, a general point about aura and aura breaking. the characters’ use of meters has led to a sort of popular fanon that aura works like hit points in a video game, where you have this many and taking damage reduces your HP by a certain number until you hit zero and then your aura breaks; (dark souls splash screen voice) YOU DIED.
i do not think it works that way.
from world of remnant:
aura is a manifestation of the soul, a life force that runs through every living creature on remnant—whether they are a meager shopkeep or a renowned knight. however, what sets true warriors apart from all others is their ability to amplify and control their aura.
aura is the power of one’s soul. it’s guided by emotion, self-knowledge, and spirituality. in its purest form, it becomes a semblance.
defensive aura is not a passive effect. we know this for a fact. in V5, oscar finds it physically exhausting to engage his aura in this way and ren tells him that’s normal—it requires intense concentration at first, then becomes second nature with practice. in V7, jaune’s aura-training demonstrates that recovery, regaining aura once it has been depleted, is a conscious action that can be improved through practice. this is because the “aura level” tracked by those meters is not a measurement of how much aura you have in the tank, as it were, but something like the density of the aura-field you’re pushing outward, or speed of flow, or something along those lines.
(the way i’m handling it in TDT is there’s a hard upper bound to how much aura you can hold in your skin, like a sponge not being able to absorb more water, and what auraleric gauges attempt to measure is % of maximum saturation because everyone’s aura will break around 5-10% saturation even though the amount of aura you have at 100% varies. anything you push out above that threshold is projected as transient bursts of energy and that’s where you start getting into offensive techniques.)
hazel’s phenomenal endurance is noted to derive from his rapid recovery, not the basal amount of aura he has. (he even just shrugs off being impaled.) i believe his semblance gives him an edge here, because it requires concentration to amplify one’s aura and hazel can’t be distracted by physical pain.
which brings me to aura-breaking. it doesn’t happen when the proverbial tank is empty. auras break when you can’t sustain the mental effort of generating enough aura; this might happen because the well you’re drawing from really has run dry (<- think this is what happened to nora with the high voltage door), but it might also be because you’re too tired, or you took a really painful or unexpected hit that shattered your focus, because you’re panicking or furious.
i think tock’s semblance is in the same ‘family’ as hazel’s and ironwood’s in that it puts her into a state of intense focus by blocking out anything that might shake her—with hers being far, far more potent than theirs but so potent she can’t maintain it for longer than sixty seconds, and possibly needs the ticking clock to ‘anchor’ her focus.
(fic stuff again, because tock’s alive in TDT for butterfly wing flaps reasons: sixty seconds is not a hard limit of her semblance; she can and on one occasion did go for much longer. to project an aura field you draw aura out of your reserve, which is the aura that naturally ‘pools’ around your soul; if that runs dry and you’re desperate enough, pushing hard enough, you can wring more aura out of your soul. blood from a stone. it hurts a lot, it will mess you up, and it can do permanent damage similar to what the aura transfer machines do to pietro. sixty seconds is how long it takes for tock’s semblance to drain her aura reserve, rounded down to allow for a margin of error.)
so. yang.
i think, mechanically, when the average person with aura training gets hit, their aura burns up to disperse most of that energy. (<- when they’re swatting gunfire away, the bullets bounce; the energy is reflected.)
but yang’s semblance absorbs energy—which is to say, if you had a ball throwing machine shoot a tennis ball at yang and someone else with equivalent training from the same distance, it would hit yang harder because her aura is less reflective; more of the ball’s kinetic energy flows into her body. then, like a battery, her aura converts that energy into some other form that can be stored.
sort of like dust, in fact. dust has a lot of potential energy, which is released when the material reacts with aura. given the literally explosive firepower yang gains from burn, i think that she’s storing this absorbed energy in the same form as occurs naturally in dust, which would put burn in the same ‘family’ as coco’s hype or arrastra’s equilibrium…
…and would also mean that this statement:
some prefer to use dust in its raw form: elegant, yet destructive. those who choose to wield dust in this state must possess a certain level of discipline to ensure that their resulting powers do not break free of their control.
is true of burn, too. and that tracks with who yang is and how she uses her semblance—even in V1-3, yang takes a more head-on approach to fights and tends to soak up more damage before exploding bigger vs her increasingly nimble and even acrobatic style post-beacon, but her control over those massive volcanic eruptions is immaculate.
the way burn works in general requires that yang be very, very in control of her aura at all times because she needs to balance between absorbing energy to charge up her semblance while reflecting enough to prevent injury, and this is one reason why i think yang is probably the best out of the cast when it comes to using aura. ren might have her beat on the more spiritual, extra-sensory perception side of things, but yang has to keep her focus while getting hit harder than anyone else Because Physics.
and that brings us to neo one-shotting yang’s aura. here is what happens: cinder is gloating from atop a pillar of fire while people scream and run in a panic all around them, and out of the corner of her eye, yang sees a glint of steel and realizes that neo is about to stab her unsuspecting baby sister in the back, she’s too far away, she can’t get there fast enough—burn is, in that moment, a reflex. instinct. she panics and hurls herself in between neo and ruby without even thinking about it because the only thing in her mind is GET TO RUBY NOW.
and that’s why her aura just shatters. it requires concentration—you practice until it becomes instinctive, until you don’t need to think about it, muscle memory. but it still takes focus. intention. yang has incredible self-control and thus incredible control of her aura, but everyone has limits, and hers are “holy fuck that guy stabbed blake” and “neo is going to kill ruby go go go.”
her semblance in itself doesn’t make her defense any weaker—but when she’s terrified enough for burn to activate reflexively like this, her aura will break if she gets hit because she’s freaking out.

Prompt #20: Duel
Ship: Emet/Exarch
The Exarch's tanking training could use a bit of a hand.
(This will probably get more chapters afterwards. )
"A duel, then."
"What?"
Emet-Selch circled around the Exarch, repeating his words, "A duel. If you are keen on taking up a melee role, I would be glad to gauge your skill level."
The Exarch lowered his sword and shield, the fatigue of his training already catching up to him, his breathing shallow.
"And why would I let you help in finding my weaknesses so easily? Do not mistake my hospitality for naivety, Emet-Selch."
The Ascian smirked, "Oh please. I do not need to study your weak points to beat you in martial matters. Merely two decades ago, I was still battling in the front lines. Furthermore, during those times, not a speck of aether left my fingertips whilst masquerading as Solus."
The Exarch made no comment. It was apparent Emet-Selch wouldn't leave unless he let him do this simple thing. Fine, let him show off a bit and he'll leave. Probably.
"Very well. Ready your weapons. We'll be duelling by Voerburite rules: the winner will be the one to draw first blood or the one that can disarm their opponent." The Exarch took his guard, lifting his shield and steadying his feet so that one foot was firmly in front of the other.
"Hmph, a soft ruleset," Emet-Selch whispered as he summoned a replica of his magitek shield and blade. A cold wind blew through the Crystarium training grounds.
"Ready when you are… dear Exarch."
