Five years has gone by since Aquaman was unfortunately bitchslapped by the momma whale for defending her calves, one being adopted baby mer.

And the sighting of the little merman continued throughout the world, as media caught wind breeze of little white-haired mer baby playing with dolphins passing by a Cruise ship.

Arguments had started over the lone mer baby across the continents, between capturing and captivity the merbaby, letting the merbaby be, or protecting the merbaby from poachers and collectors that was suggested by PETA.

Aquaman has already discussed on behalf of the Sea and Justice League that it was best for the merbaby to be left alone for it is last of its kind to appear in thousands of years in Altanta after the Momma whale crashed sixth would be poachers and endangered species ships.

Pictures, description, and documentary began of the last merbaby journey. A new video was sent live every few weeks as sea creature biologists team and their swimmers who trail behind momma whale and her calves.

Momma whales, leaving her calves for their own harsh journey in the deep blue sea, the once tiny merbaby was the size a double wide life boat.

The once beautiful trails of sparkling white and neon green color, fade gray, and black tips mer tailwind was now deep black with green and blue bioluminescence lighting all over his tail trailing from the faded jellyfish scars, His skin was once pale is now dark tanned color. His white as a pearl hair was measured by a picture frame to be the length of 12 inches with clownfishes swimming in and out every once a as a symbiote reaction, eyes glowing darker then a neon green light and teeth sharper then a great white shark.

It was a simple Tuesday of the Justice League watching the latest video of was now known to the world nicknamed the adolescent mer, phantoms the merman day.

When something that caused everyone to jump from their own seats all together that shook and amazed the world

Phantom kept dipping into the deep dark trenches of the deep blue sea rather frequently, but for the five years now, it was normal interest of curiosity that he just like to go there.

Until today, when he came out, with 5 other Mers.

One massive mer with white hair that resemble a great whale shark or what could've been a megalodon swam slowly watching the others who there was female sea horse like mer with black hair and purple and green like patterns trail behind along side a silky like dark skinned shark mer with Egyptian like pattern and old gold relic tied in his hair, massive large orange haired humaniod jellyfish like mer the size of a sperms whale swam, as Phantom was hugging, swimming around excitedly and trilling bubbles onto a tiny little new merbaby with white hair with similar patterns as him except with a red scarf like tied to her little wrist.

Sonic And Amy Are A Unique Couple

This is a quick Sonamy rant /ramble session. With a few added clarifications too. Enjoy!

This couple is more unique than you’d think. It’s cool if anyone disagrees. I'm all for a polite debate and respect your opinion. But if you're willing to hear me out, I'll be willing to explain myself as clearly as possible. Great? Awesome! Let’s get started!

Amy doesn't want to change Sonic. I will scream this until I'm not able to speak any more that Amy loves Sonic for who he is. She always has but it wasn't until IDW that she expressed it out loud. Still one of my favorite moments between them.

Does that make their relationship unique? Not really. What makes their relationship unique is what Amy loves about Sonic is kind of the reason they're not a couple yet. Sonic is an ongoing force that can’t be stopped or changed. Of course, he’ll allow someone to join him on a race, but he still keeps going. Not to say Sonic won’t stop to smell the roses (pun not intended) but he’ll do it on his own time. Amy always likes to take advantage of those moments and best of all, Sonic doesn’t mind. Even during their old chases, he’d slow down for her. Says a lot about the connection they have but there’s more

Their chemistry is…something for lack of a better term. Their back and forth is so interesting to me. Sonic does like Amy back. Notable examples here but to put it shortly, Sonic doesn’t know what he’s doing when it comes to romance. Sometimes he’s not into it and other times he’s chill. Sometimes Amy is ecstatic and other times she's bashful. I'm looking at you Sonic X.

Every time Amy’s occupied, is when Sonic wants her the most. Amy on the other hand wants Sonic to enjoy his freedom. Neither of them stops to think about how maybe they can have it both ways.

I'll also mention romance isn’t about “being tied down.” That paints romance as if it’s some kind of chain being rapt around your neck or being forced to be with the person. That is not romance. It’s keeping someone hostage. Something Amy would not do. Every time she’d joke around about marrying him Sonic didn’t take it seriously. Heroes included.

Sonic’s line in Heros: “Amy, knock it off. There's no time to play!” Dude knows Amy was messing with him. She was written to be girly, childish, adventurous, and cartoony. No, it wasn’t always executed well. Hello, Sonic Freeriders Amy! But I think this scene summons it up the best.

Important thing to mention as well is Sonic is an outspoken and honest character who rarely lies. It’s either you get the truth or you get nothing. He’s not the type to spare people’s feelings either, so if he had a problem with Amy in the past, he’d tell her directly. I do think she'd also stop if he genuinely told her to. The last thing Amy would want is to tarnish their friendship because of her actions. This loyal girl is so sweet.

Not to mention this is a popular trope in Japan too. The trope was what their relationship was based on.

Back to my original point Sonic and Amy aren’t a traditional couple. That’s a good thing. If they became canon their relationship wouldn’t change if they got together, but also they don’t need labels either. Romance isn’t or shouldn’t be a burden on you. That’s not how love works and that’s not what Sonic believes Amy to be. If that’s the case he wouldn’t be friends with her. Whether you ship Sonic with Amy, someone else, or no one, there should be no doubt Sonic values her friendship.

I’ll also add that Amy is just as up for an adventure as Sonic is. It’s why she loves him so much. They’re a power couple and love going out to travel, so there’s no staying in one place for these two.

In Sonic Adventure 2 you can tell Amy’s intuition when it comes to Sonic. Close to the end, she saw him looking a bit down and noticed his mood shifting a bit. “What’s the matter, Sonic?” “Oh, it’s nothing.” She knows him so well. I don't know what connection they run on but it’s inspiring.

These two don’t have a typical girl/boy relationship. I know some people say, “Well, why can't Sonic and Amy stay friends? Not every male and female relationship needs to be romantic.” You're 100% correct. Here are some examples.

The difference between other relationships is that Amy was created to be a Minnie to Sonic’s Mickey. Which is why these two are treated differently compared to others. Including in merch. There are more examples but I digress. The point is this specific pair is always going to have nuance even if they’re only friends. It doesn’t stop until Amy doesn’t love Sonic and even if it shouldn’t define her, it should still be a part of her. She might work without romance, but we already have other amazing female characters for that.

No one’s obligated to ship them because of this of course. Again, your opinion is still valid, and I will always stick to that point.

Last but not least is their friendship (or situationship) as a whole.

The funny thing is their friendship is what makes their romance the most compelling. The appeal to Sonic and Amy’s dynamic is how much platonic energy they have. Romance doesn’t always mean you need to be lovey-dovey. With Sonamy it’s their powerful friendship that makes the (somewhat not platonic) interactions memorable. You don’t have to choose romantic or platonic. It can be both. I wouldn't be a Sonamy fan if I thought their relationship was plain. I'm here because of how different they are.

And I love them to bits. Look at this panel and tell me it isn't running with situationship fuel.

Another fun detail is in recent years despite knowing Amy still loves him, Sonic hugs her back. Even the moments in Sonic X he carries her are moments he offers to. Even when it wasn't necessary.

Can’t forget about the recent asking Amy out to a dinner panel in IDW. He's never done that before. There's a familiarity between the two of them however you look at it. I LOVE them for it.

His moments of genuinely being excited to see her are not due to some development but because Sonic’s passion for Amy has noticeably increased. Why am I bringing these up? It’s because one thing that hasn’t been talked about when it comes to romance is actions. Sure, Sonic doesn't fully confess his feelings to her outwardly. But why do you have to be obvious and in people’s face when it comes to loving someone? In Japan, love is mostly shown through what you do more than what you say. That stuff can happen there but it doesn't always have to. The “Sharing an Umbrella, Amy,” line in Frontiers carries a lot more weight when you think about the implications.

The up-to-interpretation view of whatever they have together is the main reason I and so many people ship them. It’s not the fact that they are close, but the progression of their closeness. To make a long story short, the appeal of Sonamy is the fact that they don’t have to be traditionally romantic to be an interesting couple. Amy represents expressive love and Sonic represents emotional love.

In short, they're opening a commission to raise funds to save people in Palestine. Over 17.000 children have been killed by the illegal settlers since October 2023, at least 700 of them were babies.

While Fandom For Palestine may focus more on the tragedy in Palestine, it also aims to help other countries under genocide and oppression.

You can apply as a donor where you can commission an art or fic, or as an artist/writer to do the commission.

The fandom is not limited to the ones on the comic (there's more slides but i can only put 10. Here's the full comic). They'll hold a poll to decide which fandom gonna be next, so you can probably give them suggestions for what other fandom you wanted.

i think part of what makes the IDW Sonic supporting cast so endearing is how well they fit into the franchise as a whole. like the Archie Sonic characters were created by and large to match the SatAM continuity, which was created by and large to give context to things happening in the games because it was made at a time when audiences knew shit from fuck about these characters or their world... so those characters kinda retroactively just don't mesh with the games at all. they're adjacent to an adjacency to the main franchise, so trying to imagine them existing in the tone and context of the modern games doesn't line up.

but then you look at the IDW characters, and they are entirely, wholly made to fit into the same mold and world as the games without being redundant expies of existing characters. Surge might be "another rival to Sonic", but she fits a narrative purpose Shadow, Knuckles, and Metal Sonic completely don't; the stories you can tell with Surge and Kit are unique to them, and no other characters would fit those roles. same with Tangle and Whisper; they make the world feel lived-in, remind you that things are happening and having an impact on people whenever Sonic and co. aren't onscreen.

they also have that quality that Pit has in Smash Brawl, where they feel like they have this super storied history and evolution over the course of years that we just didn't get to see. until i actually read IDW you could've 100% convinced me the IDW-originals were all updated versions of forgotten side-characters from spin-off games like Dark Brotherhood or Rivals, and i think that says a lot about how well-conceived they all are.

Radom Sonic Headcanons because I’m bored.

Some may be kind of out there, but here goes nothing.

Knuckles and Shadow would randomly meet in unexpected ways and weirdly get along the more they spend time together. They’d be great buds and grow a trustworthy friendship.

Shadow and Knuckles are unfazed by the Babylon Rogues (Mostly Jet) and tends to fight and win against them easily. They’re an unpredictable power house when put together.

Knuckle’s five people he’d trust to watch the master emerald are Amy, Shadow, Vanilla, Espio, and Tails. A few more people could earn their spots on the lists except for Sonic or Rouge. They’re forbidden to be a part of the list for obvious reasons.

Blaze, Espio, Shadow, and Knuckles gets trapped inside a cave and the more magic they use, the more power the cave gains to protect itself. The characters would have to accumulate a stabilized plan and combine their abilities together in order to get out. They’d also have random adventures of their own. Solving mysteries, discovering unknown treasures, and grow more as people the more they hang out.

Rouge and Blaze tries to convince Amy to go on some random heist, but Amy conflicts between having fun and being responsible. Cream eventually convinces her, but the four teens/young adults begs her to stay home. Cream wants to prove herself and become stronger. (But mostly wants to wear super cool outfits with them) Cream would eventually sneak out and follow the girls and they’d have to explain to Vanilla what happened.

If Whisper and Shadow met the first thing she’d ask him is if he was an enemy or a hero. His answer would be, “I am the ultimate life-form.”

Silver and Rouge’s first meeting would be Rouge convincing Silver to steal and Blaze would have to stop Silver from helping her.

When adventures run dry every so often, different characters like Knuckles, Amy, Tails, and others would randomly go on detective missions with the Chaotix (without money help) which would either help them out or stress them out depending on the day.

Silver, Tangled, and Amy’s group in Sonic Hero's would be “Team Bubbles” for no reason other than the three thinking it’s funny.

Shadow and Cream would have picnics every Friday and Cream would give Shadow lessons of the days. She’d be his friend/therapist and he’d randomly pay her a bunch of money. She’d never accept it though and gets on his case about her not needing anything from him, but his friendship. Leading him to pay her anyways. She’d be disappointed but use the money to pay for their meals.

On his free time, Sonic would take long naps that could last 18 hours. Maybe even a week depending how tired he is. When he’s not sleeping, he reads a lot about nature to learn more about plants. He remembers every page number in every book he reads. Also, small random angst, but if Sonic sees a plant dies, his internalizing states are extreme. Everyone around him pretends to not notice for the sake of his sanity. Luckily he manages to grieve properly by playing his guitar or finding new plants to care for.

That’s it! This is all to say it’d be nice to have groups of Sonic characters who’s known each other for a while, just…hang out. Give Sonic a break and let these other amazing characters interact. There’s so many stories to be had with them and I think this franchise could use it.

Prince Charming x Flynn Rider fic

Chapter 1 1.3k words I AM NOT JOKING

A hop, skip, and a five day trek away from Corona was a kingdom, Far Far Away. The kingdoms were vastly different, but maybe that was what he liked about it. They were so different that whenever he got bored of the other he only needed to make one trek.

Flynn Rider, an outlaw, was constantly on the run, yet when he wasn’t camping out in the woods or spending the night at the snuggly duckling, he found himself wandering to the outskirts of Far Far Away’s reach. Despite the distance between Corona and this kingdom, he preferred it somewhat. The city was as lively as Corona, colors just as bright, and people maybe just a bit more interesting, but his face wasn’t plastered on wanted posters, yet. Not to mention how, wonderful if he were to put it, the taverns on the skirts of Far, Far Away were.

Through the dimly lit seating, he’d managed to find himself a spot at the bar, taking a stool like he owned it and flagging down someone to make him a drink, paying up front so he could just leave if need be. He was barely in there for an hour when some fellow sat beside him at the bar. Blond, square features, easy on the eyes. By his sense of dress alone Flynn knew he was rich. As he slowly sipped his ale, his eyes trailed the stranger’s figure, landing on a coin pouch tied to his belt. The damned thing was just as flashy as the rest of him.

Bingo.

The man was hunched over the bar, like he didn’t want to be recognized. A terrible job he was doing if that was his goal, his clothes were too eye-catching and he could see all of the man’s face. Flynn couldn’t quite figure out why he was familiar, maybe he’ll figure it out in another drink or two. The barmaid walked past the pair, he called her attention. “Hey! What’s it take for a Prince to get a drink around here?” He asked her. He seemed antsy, impatient maybe, leg bouncing and fingers lightly drumming on the table. She didn’t even ask what he wanted, simply putting a drink in front of him. A prince and a regular. Interesting.

As if he knew Flynn was staring, the Prince’s eyes found the outlaw. But instead of a scowl or sneer, the man straightened and looked away, no contesting, no agitation. It wasn’t fear, no, Flynn couldn’t place it just yet. Embarrassment? No, that felt wrong. It didn’t matter, the man was hiding his face with a cup of ale now. He probably didn’t want to talk, but that hadn’t stopped the outlaw before.

Flynn leaned on the bartop, forward enough to know he was in the man’s peripherals. He was giving him a look, a smolder of sorts if you will, narrowed eyes and slightly pursed lips, a signature of his. He was more interested in riling him up, finding out what that pompous voice sounded like angry. He could probably get that later anyhow. He saw the man’s eyes flicker, he knew he could see him. “Hi, the name’s Flynn Rider. You have a name, blondie?”

He lowered his drink, the cup hardly making a sound as it touched the wood. “If I tell you, will you stop making that face?” 

His look fell and he frowned with a huff. Flynn crossed his arms, leaning on the bartop, hand over the mouth of his drink. Sure, whatever. “I guess that’s a fair trade.” He replied with a sigh, undoubtedly trying to appear bored and uninterested.

“Charming.”

“So I’ve been told.”

“No, I’m not calling you charming, you’re the farthest thing from it. My name is Charming.”

“Your name is Charming?” He asked, the name leaving his lips with disbelief, brows raised and eyes slightly wider than they needed to be. “Well Charming, I’m certainly charmed to meet you.”

“Does that thing you did with your face actually work on people?”

“You’d be surprised.”

“That’s pathetic. What? Women just swoon when you flash your eyes at them?”

“Well, yeah, women are pretty simple.”

Charming groaned at the comment, rolling his eyes. “No, they’re not. Women are the farthest thing from simple. They’re so complicated you can’t get a damned thing right.”

He hummed, shoulders lifting slightly. Flynn didn’t think much of it, not at first, it sounded like the man had a terrible love life if anything. He let their conversation die out, both men nursing their respective drinks. Charming’s tone stuck with him, the whiny, childish nature in which he complained about women got him curious. 

“You get stood up or something?” Flynn asked after a few beats of silence.

“For an ogre!” The prince said, near shouted as he half slammed his stein on the bartop. His outburst garnered a few looks, a small scoff and a laugh. But everyone ignored them after that. “I can't even begin to describe my pain. An ogre! I’m the most perfect man and she chose an ogre over me! I blame her parents. Keeping her locked up in that tower all these years. That hideous creature was probably the first man she’d seen in years! She has terrible taste I swear.”

Flynn had stopped listening pretty quickly, almost certain he’d tuned out at ogre. If she were willing to pick someone other than him, and picked an ogre, this guy had to be terrible. But his taste in company was just as good as his taste in drinks. Which was to say, Flynn had bought the cheapest thing that could make him drunk, so not very good. He propped his head up on his elbow, chin rested on his hand, his fingers partly curled around his jaw. They were a little dirty, Flynn hadn’t exactly had a chance to clean them anytime recently. 

“That bad huh?” He asked, feigning interest, mild pity, and maybe a bit of sympathy.

“Yes! Of course it’s that bad, do you have any idea-”

“I can only imagine it was your personality that drove her away from you, considering your looks aren’t a problem.” No. Bad. You’re supposed to be getting on his good side. He thought the man was just so irritating, it made him want to ignore why he even started talking to him.

“What? No. It’s not that.”

“Then what? It has to be something that made her not pick you.” 

“Well, she never actually met me.”

Flynn scoffed, hand moving to rub his eyes. The man just kept getting worse, he hadn’t the slightest idea how to treat a woman and the words coming from his mouth was an automatic red flag that he’d only ever been handed things in life. “What? You expected a woman that’s never met you… to not pick the first person to get her out of a tower and wait for you?”

“Well, my mother-”

“Your mother?” Complete and utter disbelief, that was what Flynn’s face held, his voice seemed to carry across the bar and Charming could not be more thankful that his next words were quiet as a mouse. “This just keeps getting worse.”

“No- now- let me explain.”

“Buddy, I don’t think you can explain.”

“Let me try, please.” Flynn went silent, frowning as judgmentally as he could. He waved his hand, a small gesture for the prince to go on and try to explain himself. He had some smart retort, but the man was trying to give him more material to work with. So, why not. Flynn had nowhere else to be, he might as well burn some time hearing Prince Loser explain why he believed his mother and assumed that he would be the only one some princess would be interested in.
