Greetings! Since I've last updated this space I have returned to my hometown. The boiling point was that the house I was living in had signs of being cased. Most people who I shared some of the incidents with thought that this wasn't normal. Including the landlord's mum. Unfortunately the landlord themselves didn't think it was a big deal. They cried and whinged about how it's money out of their pockets (to upgrade security) and that it will be a 'some day' task.

There was a very unnerving incident in mid March last year which made me think I could be getting into danger if stayed any longer. So by the end of April I was gone. It seems like fate in way. Towards June my dad became more ill than usual and was in and out of the hospital for the rest of the year. My brother is my dad's primary carer and it became a too big of job to do alone. So I've been helping out my family. I won't lie, I had been feeling down for the rest of 2024.

Instead of working on my art career I spent the rest of the year distracting myself with video games. I began working on my backlog of games. Thankfully I am at a better place with everything now. In future I see myself only buying games when I actually want to play it. It's more expensive (and stressful) for me to buy a bunch of games on sale and have them waste around compared to buying one thing full price and really savouring it.

Now that it's 2025 and I am back on track emotionally I want to do an updated room tour! This is the current environment that I am creating art in:

I am using the space under the bed to store things I don't really need on a daily basis. I bought console boxes to store the old consoles. It took many months of shopping around to find the right boxes in decent condition with my preferred budget. I am proud that I accomplished this.

I bought some drawer dividers and instantly the space was so much organised! I keep my art tablet pen in there whenever I am not using it.

Finally the square shelves made it with me to my hometown. It's actually sitting on top of a desk. I covered it with a cloth. Under the cloth I have a plastic container storing random things. There's also a basket for dirty clothes. In the cubes itself I have more random things. I don't know if you recall the larger shelves I had in my last house but that is now helping my family store things in the store room. Also on top are my rocks/crystals:

My favourite is the one that looks the Van Gogh's Starry Night. I also have a lot of love for the crystal rabbit. The acorn is the newest addition which I bought in my last house. Finally we have my desk:

I guess I got the fomo when people I was talking to were telling me about their new calendars. Calendar Club had them on half price after the new year. Probably trying to finish of their stock. I also decided to display one of my dolls. It's a different doll from the other two in the last house. I still have them. I actually have a total of five dolls and I rotate between storage and display. Yeah that's probably too many dolls. ha ha. It kind of just happened over the last twelve years. With her commanding alto, crisp enunciation, no-nonsense attitude and outsize nimbus of frizzy gray hair, she could have intimidated people.

But browsers were always welcome. So were teens, especially those who felt they couldn’t talk to their parents about their music, from funk to punk; from rock to rap to reggaeton.

“When I was a lost teenager with little other than music to keep me going, Val’s halla Records was a harbor in the storm. Val herself has been a cheerleader for me and thousands of other misfits and weirdos who found shelter in her store and in so doing found a place for themselves in the world,” Caitlyn Strokosch, now CEO at the National Performance Network / Visual Artists Network, wrote on Facebook. “She makes every local musician feel just as important as all the heroes whose pictures hang on her walls.”

Ms. Camilletti employed generations of kids who worked their first jobs at Val’s halla. They became a family. “She had a small army of employees” who stayed friends with their former boss and each other, said Shayne Blakeley, manager of Val’s halla. Many trooped in each year from around the country to visit and volunteer at the store’s annual anniversary sale.

She presided over her land of enchantment with a dog or two for petting nearby. She named the store Val’s halla, a pun on the warrior heaven in Norse mythology. For many years, the shop was the daytime lounge of Halla, her white German shepherd, as well as other pets with Nordic names: Loki, a yellow Lab mix, and Woden the cat.

After Halla died at 16, she received stacks of sympathy mail. “People came in tears. They were raised by her,” she told the Sun-Times in 1995. “That thing just doesn’t happen in a mall.”

She liked to say her shop “covers every single genre that exists, from hip hop to opera and everything in between.”

“We don’t blink when someone walks in and says, `You wouldn’t happen to have a new Vaughn Monroe cassette, would you?’ ” Ms. Camilletti said in the Sun-Times interview. “And we do. Then, of course, the next person might ask for Dr. Dre, and the next one will ask for Merle Haggard.”

She grew up on the West Side, the daughter of Italian immigrants Norma Mary and Quinto Camilletti. Val spoke Italian before English, she said in an interview with ChicagoGayHistory.Org.

Her factory worker dad, who was from Perugia, came to America on a boat named after an opera composer,  Guiseppe Verdi. As she put it on her Facebook page, “Of course he did.”

Two of the first records she ever bought were the score for “Oklahoma!” and “Belafonte at Carnegie Hall,” she said in the interview with Lucia.

Three days after graduating Austin High School, she went to work for Continental Bank, she told ChicagoGayHistory.org.

It was a jolt after being raised an adored only child whose parents believed she could do anything.

At the bank, “Women couldn’t wear red. It was not acceptable because it was just a bit too vibrant, too forward,” she recalled. “Men could smoke at their desks, women could not….the realization was–that doesn’t seem right.”

By 1962, she left the bank and went to work at the Chicago offices of Capitol Records, where she said she was thrilled to be around people who occasionally used profanity and lived outside the mainstream. She met a deejay friend who took her on her first visit to a men’s gay bar, the Orange Cockatoo, she told ChicagoGayHistory.org.

Ms. Camilletti said in the interview that she always resisted labelling, but for her, “Bisexuality fits.”

In 1968, she started managing a chain of stores, NMC Discount Records, from 723 and 1/2 South Blvd. in Oak Park. Four years later, she took over the flagship shop and founded Val’s halla. Ms. Camilletti operated for about 36 years at the original location, until the building was sold. Thanks to fundraising help from loyal customers, she raised thousands of dollars and relocated the store to 239 Harrison St. about 12 years ago.

She likened it to the bail-out of George Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” except “My angel isn’t Clarence … I  gotta a band of angels.”

On Monday, a group she adored and championed, The Flat Five, arrived at her bedside at the British Home, Blakeley said. They serenaded Ms. Camilletti with the Beach Boys song “In My Room.”

Money remains tight and the future of the store is unknown, said Busiel, who was designated with power of attorney for Ms. Camilletti.

She is survived by her cat, Soot, in addition to her many friends, who are talking about organizing a celebration of her life. Many are expected to come out to the store’s 46th anniversary sale this weekend, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, featuring live music and good vibes.

Blakeley predicted, “It’s going to be a love-in.”

And Police here wonder why no matter what they do, NOTHING changes?

Things are now shifted to a "Winter" cycle of rampant crime and criminality and criminals in this hellhole.

But there is no rain. Though rain is finally due to start happening sometime this week according to weather forecasts. (THAT in itself will trigger their raining crimial activities).....

The uncontrollable small criminal who wanders the streets seems to be absent. (was he finally arrested and taken away?), however.....ALL HIS CRIMINAL PRACTICES have been taken up by a fellow criminal who lives with him in the criminal households. And today he has been active, as well as female criminals. But he is MOST ACTIVE today.

He currently is again on a pushbike and roaming about. - Is THAT just to elude Police and authorities from spotting him? - Has he been tipped-of there would be a vehicle about soon? Today has been a council 'garden waste' verge collection day and that was all finished up this morning. But the fact that trucks were all congregating in the streets brought out the criminals afterwards. NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE NORMALITY AT THIS HELHOLE AREA.

STILL heaped up in the front yard of the empty 4-sale or rent place is a huge amount of rubbish stacked up and leaning against one of the few sections of remaining fence there still surviving after all the criminals destruction of all the other fences. It's a large amount of rubbish AGAIN that AGAIN the real estate company will have to pay to have removed AGAIN.

And where did the rubbish come from? - From across the road from there of course. Purposely dumped there AGAIN.

The Police and authorities know about these things and do nothing. The real estate company does nothing. Nobody does anything. Because this is a fucking hellhole area that has been allowed to fester and go rancid.

A road motorbike has come out out of one place and sped off. I wonder if it was stored inside the house. Since their own driveway is blocked by a huge camper trailer. They use a section of their fence they remove to get cars out that they park next to their front door of their house of their front yard of this hellhole.

A big delivery truck of "Essential Applicances" arrived in the street AGAIN. A company that hires out goods including refrigerators and stuff. - THEY have made countless deliveries to the criminal households before. Stuff that always ends up illegally on the street verges for council rubbish collections or stuffed into rubbish bins or....

Criminal aborigals started flocking aorund it on the streets (plural) because it pulled up at one aborigial household, was mobbed, then it drove off to another street and was congregated around by the same ones AGAIN. - AND....an aboriginal toddler in a diaper ran across the road without looking as part of all that.

Then a sedan vehicle pulled up and MORE toddlers in diapers toddled out......and aboriginal criminals get out of the sedan, (have they been to a court case today because of their criminality?)

And the streets became full of criminal aboriginals.......

...AND the chainsmoking departmental? woman was walking all about and holding onto a device.....seeing it all. But she is just an utterly useless pawn in an utterly useless system designed to home criminals and keep them in check (somewhat) so that locals don't riot and kill them all which would be very embaressing to authorities.

The truck drives off goes into the empty carpark area and the street is still full of the shits.

And all throughout this is LOUD drum set playing coming out of the household that has the removeable section of front fence that they use as their 'driveway' on and on and on and has been playing for many hours. This place is RIGHT NEXT door to the old guys place.

The aboriginal shits collect in the street on foor and on bicycles and start travelling on the footpath slowly and being utterly feral.

They come to the street corner with the vacant for-rental house is and they invade the yard. One picks up a half-brick and urges another aboriginal (the SAME aboriginal criminal who has done this a million times before) to hurl it and smash the house up AGAIN.

The aboriginal male takes the half brick and hurls it at the house again and again and again, breaking the fibro walls of the house and smashing the kitchen windows (ALL AGAIN FOR THE 10th TIME NOW?) - They did this AFTER they tried to smash the large living room picture window AGAIN.

Then they all slowly walked along one more house along and entered INTO THE YARD ALL TOGETHER into the old guys place through his open big green gate.

There was no yelling from him or anything. - He was utterly quiet. he had been standing outside just minutes beforehand so he WAS home.

They hung around in there for awhile then exited, then returned around the street corner AGAIN and again invaded the fenceless corner property. More smashing sounds.

Then the mob slowly walked down the footpath and on bicycles and most went into fatguts aboriginal criminal household.
