It is now time for me to ramble about augments

Buckle up, lotta text gonna be here.

So... I've given some brief tidbits on what Reborn's augments do, but I've never been fully clear on how they work. So I'm going to break it down cus it... Might be a tad bit complex, I'm not sure.

Ok

So to start, the main purpose of Reborn's augments is to limit and regulate the amount of psychokinetic energy his body can make and use.

You might ask, why did this need to be done?

Well...

His body couldn't handle it's own power, and he likely would have died without the action taken. Yea... I know it's a bit dark and if that isn't people's thing, I do apologize.

Eitherway...

This does mean Reborn's augments technically make him weaker. But I'd say being weaker is a small cost for being able to live happily.

He does have some strength in being versatile with what he can do though.

Back to the augments themselves...

The outer plating is fairly durable, but the inner wires are quite sensitive, and don't respond well to high amounts of electricity.

This means he has a bit of a weakness to electric type attacks, as too much of them could fry the wiring in his augments. (Which would be very bad.)

On one final note, in addition to his visible augments, there's one on the inside, in the back of his head. That one is quite important, as it does a fair bit of the limiting.

Being in the back of his head though, it's a fair bit harder to reach in order to damage thankfully.

Well,” she says, as David leans forward in anticipation, “I understand from seeing – from being – from being in the scene, it’s clearly… he’s… regenerating out of himself and becoming two.” David nods approvingly. “Because he’s regenerating… bi himself.” She roars with laughter. It was going so well. “He splits bi himself, and he’s bi himself. That’s what it means.” David has no words. Well, maybe one. “Wow,” he says.

it makes me insane how noelle has been unsure for so long on if she and kris are even friends. theyve known each other since childhood, theyve played and hung out and they go to her house and and they GREW UP TOGETHER, NEIGHBOR FRIENDS!!! yet kris has always been so... distant. sure, maybe they know each other better than anyone else, but its not like they say that. any affection they have for each other isnt said the difference is noelle is friendlier and reaches out because she knows how to. she can give them pencils and help with homework and be weird, herself, around them, but kris isnt good at that kind of thing. they dont know how to put these things into words and they feel embarrassed trying to show it, and either they dont realize how it comes across or they do but dont know how to fix it, dont have the energy in recent years kris cares a lot about people! from choking up on hot chocolate to trying desperately not to have noelle involved anymore in snowgrave. they protect susie they want to hug the ralsei mannequin they feel a lot of affection toward others in their life but it is QUIET or only base protection comes out in dangerous moments. and it is so interesting to me, their emotional distance, how they either cant or havent tried to get their love across. i love kris dearly. they are so bad at this. it makes their friends and loved ones unsure in their relationships with kris and it drives me insane

OK i need to know cause it’s been driving me crazy my whole life

when i was little there was a children’s book that terrified me and it was about a kid saying bad words/ negative things(?) and and at some point i think he gets sent to the woods and the bad words become physical and theyre like black blobs with teeth

anytime i’ve ever tried to look it up i can’t find it and no one EVER knows what im talking about DO ANY OF YOU KNOW THIS BOOK

I wanna know some people's opinion on this since I wanna get on my comic but lack of drawing motivation is getting in my way.

Is anyone ok with the occasional written bit?

I will still be trying to draw (definitely when it comes to most important bits), I just wanna know if people are alright with this. Might be able to get some things done faster.
