tales of the passerine - danny fenton being bruce wayne's first kid

okay okay. so this is like a continuation/elaboration of my oneshot/prompt i wrote about the idea that Danny was the first batkid. We have a lot of aus where he joins the family after the rest of the bats do, right? So hey! Lets shake things up a bit. Danny is the first to be adopted by Bruce Wayne.

Danny's parents and unfortunately Jazz die shortly after the events of TUE -- how so? I was gonna say an ecto-filter explosion, that would call back to the TUE explosion and trauma behind that. But lets do something new! Carbon-monoxide poisoning.

It's not too unexpected for something to break in the Fenton house, especially with the Fenton parents' questionable understanding of proper weapon handling and lab safety. The water heater broke from a stray shot by one of the weapons, and was promptly MacGyver'd incorrectly. Danny went to stay with Tucker for a guys' night, and came back to a dead silent house.

(Danny's neighbors got a very unfortunate shock when he ran to the next house over in hysterics.)

There was a lot of shuffling around with CPS, the police. People had to be called in to handle the equipment in the lab, and the GIW was rumoring to show up in aid to clearing the scene. When Danny heard of that, he immediately went and dismantled the ghost portal to the best of his abilities. He burned the physical blueprints of all his parents' inventions, their blueprints on the ghost portal, and their most dangerous weapons were destroyed beyond recognition. Anything to prevent the GIW from getting their hands on his parents' tech.

It opened up another investigation, but he was not under the list of suspects. He was placed in the care of Vlad Masters, where they then went back to the rebuilt castle mansion in Wisconsin. Danny, terrified of the future that has once passed and may do so again, shuts down in his grief. Inadvertently, he ends up somewhat repressing his ghost half. Something Vlad, who is grieving Madeline but relishing in Jack's demise and his custody of Daniel, is not very happy with.

Vlad's... gone into a bit of a mental health spiral. He's becoming increasingly possessive over Daniel, the final remnants of his friends and a liminal being like him. He doesn't like that Danny's repressing his ghost half -- both out of genuine concern as a ghost, but also because of his desire to control Danny and groom him into the perfect son. If you ever had a phase where you read Dark SBI found family fics, first off; me too bro, and second off; those are the vibes I'm thinking of.

Danny's mentally shut down from grief! And fear. He's dropped into a bad depressive state -- paralyzed with grief and the terror of the inevitable. Clockwork saved his parents because he believes in second chances, but what's the point of that when his family ended up dead anyways? Danny doesn't wanna believe that he's destined to become evil, and he's holding out onto that hope, but it's a thin line, and he feels utterly hopeless and trapped. He hasn't used his powers or ghost form since he trashed the lab, and Vlad has alarms set up to prevent him from trying to escape.

He's also unintentionally cut off Sam and Tucker -- both of whom are so scared and concerned for Danny too, and are trying their damndest to reach out to him. He keeps ignoring their texts. Danny basically haunts Vlad's manor. He goes out to eat if he has to, attends parties Vlad drags him to, and stays in his room all day if he can.

At parties, Vlad doesn't allow Danny to leave his side, or really talk to anyone -- not that Danny wants to. A product of Vlad's increasing possessiveness. Well, he almost doesn't let Danny leave his side. Danny has a habit of slipping off to hide somewhere for the parties whenever he can, and Vlad reluctantly allows it so long as he stays alone.

This becomes an advantage when eventually, Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham after missing for years, and holds a bright charity ball to celebrate the return. Vlad has been chomping at the bits to get his hands on Wayne Industries, and with the return of its owner there is no better opportunity to wipe out his rival. He goes, and he as normal, brings Daniel with him.

Vlad thinks Wayne will bleed his little heart out for Daniel's poor orphan sob story -- he's a fellow orphan himself, after all. He's not wrong; Wayne's little heart will bleed, just not in the way that benefits him.

Bruce sees Vlad and Danny approaching before they're even close enough to introduce themselves - and like with many of the children he will soon come to care for, it's like someone set a mirror into the past right in front of him.

Danny Fenton's suit is tailor-made for him, and despite the fact that it's his perfect size, the sag in his shoulders, the ducked down head, and the way he hunches into himself all pictures the image of a child in shoes too big for him. There's a far away, glazed over look in his eyes and grief marble-cut into the lines of his face. There's not enough makeup in the world that will hide the dark circles under his eyes.

("My nephew, Daniel Fenton." Vlad's hands are possessive on Danny's shoulders. Bruce immediately notices the way the boy tenses under his touch. "His parents passed recently, and as his godfather I was designated his guardian.") ("I'm so sorry, the loss must've been terrible.") ("Yes, carbon-monoxide poisoning caused it. Daniel was out with friends, when he came home... they had already passed.") (Bruce immediately dislikes that Vlad shared the details of their death unprompted -- he likes it even less when Danny flinches at the reminder and hunches into himself.)

Danny runs off at some point earlier into the charity. At this point, parties are still being held at Wayne Manor (because iirc google search mentioned that was a thing at first before it was changed), so he disappears and hides in one of the empty rooms nearby. It just so happens to be the same room Bruce Wayne hides in when he needs a break from all of the socialization.

Thus begins a long, long process of trust. Bruce can't reveal his hand as being smarter than he looks, but he can be compassionate. Kindness needs no measure of intelligence. He keeps Danny company for as long as he can before he runs the risk of being found.

Rinse and repeat. Vlad insistently wants Wayne Industries, and he'll go to as many Wayne parties as he can to get his hooks into the man. The problem is that Bruce Wayne is never alone, and getting him alone is impossible. Finding him too. It's like the man never stops moving. Always talking to someone, always circling somewhere. He orbits around the room as if he isn't the sun of the Gotham Elite's solar system.

Danny's had such repetitive behavior that Vlad never thinks to believe that Bruce Wayne is disappearing to go talk to him. That "Vlad's" son is even interacting with him at all. Danny never gives him a reason to think so, and neither does Bruce.

Danny doesn't actually acknowledge Bruce until a handful of parties in, where he hands Bruce a small slip of paper he smuggled in that says; "don't trust Vlad". Danny's face stays carefully blank, but he's so tense that his hands are trembling, and he's purposely looking away from him. Bruce plasters a smile onto his face, slips the paper into his pocket, and tells him "okay".

(he's been busy with his own goals with the mafia, but he sets aside time to investigate Vlad Masters. He was holding off. Until now.)

Danny does eventually start speaking to Bruce, he's starting to really like the guy. He's starting to see a little hope, even as Vlad is starting to get more and more agitated with him the more he refuses to use his powers.

He reaches out to Sam and Tucker again, and starts trying to reconnect with them. Vlad has spyware on his phone, and he limits the amount of times he can talk to them. A weird parental control lock of some sort that leaves a time limit on how long he can talk to them for. 30 minutes. Danny doesn't tell them anything about Mr. Wayne.

Danny, slowly, wants out of here, and he's slowly gathering the motivation to do it. Vlad is genuinely scaring him -- and Danny wonders just how truthful the past-future Vlad was when he told him that Danny wanted his ghost half separate. He starts trying to come up with an escape plan.

Vlad has anti-ghost wards everywhere around the mansion, and while they're always on, they boost to full power at sunset. The doors and windows are always locked, all main exits have alarms set on them. The only reason it's not super extensive is because Danny hasn't tried leaving at all yet, so Vlad hasn't had to tighten anything.

At night, Vlad locks the door to his room and puts up an anti-ghost ward around the room. The mansion is on the outside westward side of Madison, more entrenched in rural Wisconsin. The closest town is a four-way stop sign with one house on three corners, and an open bar on the fourth. Not much to go.

He refuses to go to Sam and Tucker; Vlad would look there first. It's too dangerous. Vlad would sound alarm bells and have a manhunt looking for him, Danny can't risk going just anywhere. Too much risk of being found, sold out, or caught. There's really nowhere for him to hide.

Until there is. Bruce is telling Danny about the history of Wayne Manor, and says, as casually as saying the weather; "The manor has dozens of empty rooms, I'm sure Alfred wouldn't mind filling another one if he could." And quietly, hesitantly, Bruce places a careful hand on Danny's shoulder, unrestrictive and gentle; "He wouldn't mind getting one ready for you if you need one."

And there it is. There's his out.

Danny, just as quietly, replies; "I'll keep that in mind."

The ball starts rolling.

Now I've been trying to summarize this au as much as possible for length convenience, but Vlad has been steadily growing more and more controlling. More emotionally manipulative. More agitated at Danny for not using his powers.

He wants Wayne Industries under his thumb but he's been steadily growing more and more concerned with Danny. He's started grabbing him, yanking him around, shaking him; trying to goad him into using his powers. He gets angry when Danny doesn't react, or tells him he doesn't want to use his powers. He hasn't outright attacked him, but he's getting there. This has been happening over the time it takes for Bruce to indirectly offer Danny sanctuary at his home.

It all comes to a head when Vlad stops going to parties at all -- something Danny has to pretend he isn't upset about -- because Vlad doesn't want him around other people anymore. Vlad rarely goes now without him, and only leaves to go to a Wayne function or to handle something at VladCo.

Danny can't wait for Vlad to leave long enough to escape. So he leaves during the night of a big storm. Vlad's locked him in his room, but Danny doesn't bother trying to go for it; he goes to the alarmed window instead. Danny's been repressing his ghost half so long that he can't access his powers immediately anymore -- he can feel it, he knows its there, but he can't quite reach it.

He breaks the lock by hand.

Immediately the alarm goes off through the entire castle, filling the room with red, and he scrambles for the rope the Wisconsin Ghost left for him a few months back. Danny's already out and climbing down the side of the castle before Vlad even reaches his door -- the only good thing about the entire room being ghost-proof is that Vlad can't get in that way.

The rope ends before it reaches the bottom, and he's still twenty feet in the air. It won't kill him if he lands it right. Danny takes his chances, and drops. He breaks his ankle, but he survives.

And he fucking books it to the back garden. He hears Vlad shrieking over the thunder and rain.

I'll save the full experience for a future oneshot, but Danny makes it out into the nearby woods and forcibly experiences what it's like to be in a horror game, trying to hide from the thing that's hunting you. There's only one thing going through his mind; "i'm going to die"

I have this mental image for this scene. Very stereotypical horror imo. Where Danny is hiding behind a tree, with a hand over his mouth, and Vlad is a few feet away from him, glowing ominously red through the trees, trying to search for him.

Danny doesn't get away from this unscathed, but he does get away alive. That's all he could ask for. He gets away by getting his ghost half awakened long enough to transform into Phantom and fly to Gotham.

But he gets to Wayne Manor, he gets to Bruce. Or, at least, Alfred answers the door from his insistent pounding. Danny's just in tears and Alfred gets him in the living room, wrapped in a towel, with ice on his swollen leg before he has to step out and alert Bruce.

Bruce already breaks multiple traffic laws on a nightly basis. And that's just with the sheer existence of the batmobile itself, not including the speeding and military artillery attached. He breaks double the amount trying to speed back to the cave and get out of the suit.

Right off the bat: Bruce will know, at least before Dick enters the picture, about danny's powers. He'll figure out something considering the fact that Danny traveled from Wisconsin to New York in a single night. That'll be a bit of complicated affair, but I've already got something in mind.

Actually it'll probably be very soon after Danny joins the family, because Bruce tries to offer to fight for custody for Danny - the state Danny was in at arrival is clear enough evidence for a trial. But Danny immediately shuts it down, says it's not going to work and then Vlad will know Danny's with him and he won't be safe. He tells him that Vlad cannot know Danny was with Bruce.

Danny's biggest regret was not telling his parents he was a halfa, and while he doesn't want to tell mister wayne (yet), he does tell him about Vlad being one. He needs to know why Danny can't be seen with Bruce. So he tells him, and Danny's current plan is to just hide out from Vlad until he turns 18. That way, he has no more legal jurisdiction over him. After that? He's not sure.

And to wrap this up, since this has already gotten very long and I can make more posts about this au later; I've thought about it, and I'm going to say that Danny does become a vigilante before Dick enters the scene. He goes by, as you probably guessed; Nightingale. "Gale" for short.

If it goes over 3 it should have a balanced consonant-vowel ratio. Thanks for tagging me!

Here are the last seven lines I wrote for Tales of Dani Chapter 9! This is the final part of the flashback scene I finished working on yesterday.

Dani was getting impatient with Slash still not back from his mission. So she grabs her cloak and tanto, but before she could walk out... "And just what do you think you're doing?" Rockwell asks, eyebrows rose to the top of his head. "Something's not right," Dani answers. "It's been hours and Slash still hasn't returned. I'm gonna go look for him. Anyone who wishes to join me is welcome." "It is too dangerous, Danielle," Leatherhead tells her. "And what if he needs our help?" Dani argues. "I can't just sit here and do nothing while something bad could be happening to him right now!"

Leatherhead thought for a moment. While he knew that Slash was a powerful warrior with his strength and ninjutsu, he also knew that Dani had a point. Their leader is missing and no one knows where he is. But he wasn't going to let Dani look for him alone, especially if the Kraang are still mutating humans. If she were to be captured and mutated by them, Slash would not be pleased.

After careful consideration, Leatherhead nodded his consent to join her. Dani gave him a grateful nod. But before the two could do that, a noise was heard. The entrance door opens to reveal... "Slash?!" "My friend," Leatherhead says, shocked to see the condition he's in.

A severely injured Slash slowly makes his way in to the hideout, drops his mace, and falls to his knees as Dani rushes to him. "What happened to you?" she asks, concerned about his injuries. "Fight...explosion..." Slash answered weakly. "Fight?" Dani repeats. "With who? And where's the other mutant?" But Slash couldn't stay awake any longer to answer that and collapsed to the floor. "Slash? Slash!" were the last words he heard as he blacked out.

Some time later (hours, days?), the tortoise opened his mutagen green eyes. He saw that he was in his room at the Mutanimals' hideout. He then looked at himself to see that he was covered in bandages and noticed Dani asleep, her head resting on the table near him. 'Did she stay with me the whole time I was unconscious?' he thought.

Soon, Dani started to open her eyes and saw her mutant friend awake with a smile. "You're okay!" she gasped. "Nothing can take this turtle down," Slash said. His voice was still weak, but other than that, he was still the same Slash Dani knew. She got up and let the other Mutanimals know that their leader was awake.

As they made their way to the room, Slash thought about what happened with Hob and the fight. Despite all that Hob did, he couldn't help but feel guilty and responsible for his death. What could he have done where everything would end so differently than the actual outcome? Should he have sensed sooner that Hob was not to be trusted? Was there even any hint of goodness within him? He decided not to worry about that now once he saw his teammates. Pete was a sobbing mess, Rockwell gave him a lecture on how he should've been more careful on the mission, and Dani and Leatherhead smiled, happy that their leader is still with them. With plenty of rest and recovery, the Mutanimals will hopefully find the Turtles and put a stop to the Kraang invasion one day.

here’s a little something from chapter 12 of Your Average Fangirl :)

A quick glance at the nightstand tells me it's 10:03AM. I stretch my arms above my head before moving to a sitting position, the standard hotel white duvet rustling with every miniscule movement.

I grab my phone off the charging stand and quickly swipe through all of the notifications. After getting back to the hotel last night, we all went to our separate rooms. When Jace didn't follow me as he normally did, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed at not talking with him well into the early morning hours.

Reminders to people who watch Midsommar and who hate on people who think Dani's ending is a happy one:

Anyone in real life can be susceptible to cults! Anyone! Doesn't matter how intelligent you are. Or how vulnerable you are anyone can get sucked in. So telling someone how thinking Dani has a happy ending in a fictional movie means your are easily able to get tricked by a cult is not only rude and mean. You are missing the point of fiction vs reality.

Ari Aster himself said he saw the movie as a fairy tale. A folk horror. Where The Hårga are good happy thing for Dani. Everyone else in the movie is in a horror movie. Dani herself is in a fairytale and thats why she survives.

The movie is less about cults and more so about breakups. Its a breakup fantasy. Emphasis on fantasy. So yes I am going to say good for her to Dani a fictional character for her fictional killing of her fictional asshole boyfriend. Because its not real!

Can the Fandom purity culture and Fandom purity police just leave people alone and let them enjoy things? If they are not hurting themselves or anyone in real life than just let them be. Stop worrying how people see the ending of a fictional movie and worry about actual real issues in real life. Ok? Ok.

It just annoys me when I try looking up stuff for Midsommar and I find posts like that. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. And can see the ending of the movie in their own way. But when people say, seeing the ending of the movie as a happy ending makes you an easy target for real cults. Well it pisses me off. Dani is more the easier type of victims for cults. But again as I said. Anyone can get sucked into a cult. Doesn't matter who you are. How intelligent you are, or what background you come from. Depending on the type of cult. You can get sucked in. The best thing to know is how to find the signs and knowing when to leave. So stop bringing real issues and horrors into a fictional movie. A fictional movie that people are allowed to enjoy and see how they want.

Seeing people clutch pearls over Arya having killed people is so funny cause the list is literally rapist, murderer, torturer, criminal, some combination of the bunch...and all people who Arya has personally witnessed, or directly heard about, committing these acts. Like, contrary to popular belief, she is not just a mindless killing machine.

Summary: Blurr has had enough! The Rescue Team have pushed it too far when they hurt Blurr’s feeling, and they regret it when something bad happens to him. Soon resulting in Blurr getting Akumatized by Hawk Moth. He now becomes Shadow Racer, and seeks revenge on his team.

Blurr sat in his stasis pod cleaning his tears after the training gone wrong. Salvage then entered the room and saw his best friend so upset.

Salvage went up to Blurr: Hey Blurr.

Blurr:(looked up at Salvage and faked a smile)Oh. Hey Salvage.

Salvage knew that Blurr was fake smiling: Blurr. What’s wrong? You don’t have to fake smile.

Then a new voice was heard: Blurr are you really fake smiling again?

This girl was Blurr’s human partner, Kara!

Blurr:(sigh) Fine. I just failed again the training. And I got a big scolding. And I’m already trained to be a Rescue Bot. You two know that.

Then a new voice, it was Cody Burns: Make that 3.

Blurr: What if I don’t belong here like you Salvage? Maybe you’re all better off without me.

Days later, a mission went wrong and the team took it out on Blurr, especially Heatwave.

Heatwave: Blurr, you son of a dead scraplet! You messed up big time!

Blurr hesitated: B-but, I was only just trying to help. I d-didn’t mean for that to happen.

Chief Burns: Blurr you nearly put all of us in danger. You’re being even more reckless on missions.

Blurr:(hesitant and stuttered) B-but I-

Heatwave cut him off, and snarled: Save it you show-off! You moron.

Then Heatwave did the unthinkable, and Kara and Salvage couldn’t believe what he did to Blurr. Heatwave slapped Blurr right across the face!

Blurr was stunned in the servos: You… y-you just slapped me?(tears run down his eyes) That really hurt.

Heatwave: Does it look like I care, you bastard!(slaps him again)You’re staying in the firehouse from now on, understood!? You’re not allowed on any rescue missions anymore! And you’re not training with us anymore! Are we clear on that you monster?!

Blurr hesitated, but nodded: Y-yes sir.(rubs his cheek)

Tears ran down his cheeks, and he started crying hard. And he ran off crying.

Cody: Blurr,wait!

Kara confronted Heatwave: Heatwave, what the heck?! What is wrong with you!?

Heatwave: Listen, Kara. He deserved it.

Chase backed him up: Heatwave is correct. Blurr has messed up in his speed on missions recently. He has to be disciplined.

That triggered Salvage, who was usually calm and tranquil,but seeing how the team hurt Blurr made him snap hard and get mad.

Salvage: You call that discipline!? He’s been through so much already! And you’re all making it worse!

Kade scoffed: What could he be going through to hurt him so much? More than he put us in danger!

Salvage: Are you… kidding me!?

Cody and Kara kinda got scared and hugged each other.

Cody: Jeez, I’ve never seen Salvage this angry before. I think this might umm… be the first time.

Kara: Me neither.😥 But he’s got a point, Codes.

Everyone jumped in shock at Salvage’s outburst of anger.

Salvage: Do you guys not know Blurr’s childhood!? He suffered! Especially after what happened to his parents!

This stunned the team.

Blades: Wha- his parents?

Boulder: What are you talking about?

Salvage:(sigh) Blurr lost his parents when he was little. He’s been holding that pain for so long. And he also feels like he isn’t worthy of being a rescue bot. Because of fake friends from the past.

Heatwave sighed in sadness: I guess we were too hard on him.

Cody: Guys, you should’ve known better. Dad once said: “You never know what someone’s going through. Which is always best to be nice.”

Boulder: And we did the complete opposite.

Salvage: I can’t believe you treated Blurr like a scraplet. I’m telling Optimus about this right now!

The mention of Optimus Prime stunned Heatwave, making his spark jump with fear.

Heatwave: S-Salvage wait!

But he had already left. Cody and Kara left as well.

Heatwave: Cody wait…

Cody: No Heatwave. You guys should’ve done better. Salvage is right. You just made it worse for Blurr.

Cody and Kara left.

Salvage left and reported everything to Optimus Prime himself.

Optimus Prime: Thank you for informing me Salvage.(looks down) I feel bad about Blurr.(back to Salvage) But I will have a long talk with the team. This is not how we treat other Autobots, especially if they’re going through tough moments.

Then one night, Blurr was writing in his diary when he heard the team nearby. They were talking about him and how he was acting and how reckless he is. He peeked to hear the conversation and Heatwave said something that made his spark brake

Chief Burns: Well Heatwave, it’s your team. You have to decide what to do with Blurr.

Heatwave: And I’ve already made my choice. Blurr has to go.(leaves the conversation)

Chase: Affirmative: Blurr is just causing more trouble.

Blurr:Well what do you know? We all agree on something. 😔

Blades noticed Blurr, and realized…

Blades: Uh oh. He overheard us.

Blurr quickly ran away from home.

Boulder: Blurr wait!

Blades: Oh, we messed up bad! Optimus is gonna be so upset with us now!

He left transforming in vehicle mode in tears outside the firehouse. He ran as fast as he could, far away from home.

Blurr sped off away from the firehouse, and was now in the race track. He changed into robot mode and walked around.

He sat down on the floor of the track staring at his locket with a photo of him and his parents.

Blurr:(sobs with sadness)I never meant for things to be like this. Mom, Dad, I wish you were here.

Blurr sobbed at night with tears coming down his eyes and cried.

Blurr: I guess… I’m not meant to be a Rescue Bot.(sobs)

Hawk Moth felt Blurr’s negative energy from his lair: Ahh, the feeling of being neglected and one who isn’t fit for rescuing. Only wanting to do what he loves to do, race.Clearly sad to suffer for.

Then a butterfly lands on Hawk Moth’s hands, and he turns the butterfly into an Akuma and sends it to Blurr saying: Fly away my little Akuma, and evilize him!

The Akuma landed on Blurr’s blue visor,and then an aura of akumatization covered his face.

Hawk Moth: Shadow Racer. I am Hawk Moth. Your team has made you feel that you’re not worthy to fight and protect others, and that they think you only care for yourself. Well I’m giving you the power to make them feel how you felt. All I ask in return are Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculous.

Blurr: I’ll make sure they regret everything they’ve done to me! Time to start my engines.

With that, Blurr lowered his visor, and he transformed into…

Shadow Racer[Blurr]: Shadow Racer’s on the track. Racing for revenge.(evil smirk and cackle)

Hawk Moth: But don’t forget our promise of the Miraculous,Shadow Racer.

Shadow Racer[Blurr]: A promise is a promise.(transforms into vehicle mode)

Blurr’s usual purple color in his vehicle mode was no longer purple with green. It was now a dark- blue themed racing armor with a pattern of red and silver detailing as he drove off to the firehouse into the darkness.

The next morning, Heatwave looked at a portrait with the whole team as he woke up. He picked it up and felt disappointed in himself. He and the team let Blurr down.

Heatwave:(sigh) I was wrong about Blurr. We all were.

Blades: Maybe we were too mean to him. Just like Cody said:You never know what someone’s going through.

Boulder:Which is always best to be nice.

Chase: We must apologize to him for our behavior.

???: I had a feeling you would say that Chase.

The main 4 turned to see a red and blue truck enter. He changed into an Autobot. It was Optimus Prime! And he did not look pleased or happy with them. He had seriousness written all over his face.

Then Chief Burns, Kade,Graham, Dani, Cody and Kara came and saw Optimus.

Heatwave: Optimus, wha-what are you doing here?

Optimus Prime: Salvage has informed me about the situation with Blurr. And I must say, that I am extremely displeased and disappointed in all of you. You should not treat anyone who is part of the team like they’re not worthy. Especially if they’re going through something hard.

Heatwave sighed: I see that now Optimus. We all do.

Cody told Optimus: We tried to warn them Optimus.

Chief Burns: And I should’ve listened to you son.

Then a voice came from afar.

Shadow Racer[Blurr]:(voice from afar) Well,well,well… if it isn’t my ex-teammates. The ones who hurt me and pushed me away.

Shadow Racer came out in the front without being noticed by the speed he had. He was standing now in front of the whole team. He transformed into robot mode from his vehicle mode. He looked at the team with evil.

Heatwave: Blurr? I-is that you?

Shadow Racer: That’s not my name anymore. You said yourselves. It’s Shadow Racer! Name’s Shadow Racer. Now, where are Ladybug and Cat Noir? Give me their Miraculous!

Boulder:(to Graham)What is he talking about?

Shadow Racer was not patient: Tell me now!

??? Female: Are you looking for us, Shadow Racer?

Everyone turned to see two heroes. Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Cat Noir: What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?

Shadow Racer[Blurr]: Ladybug and Cat Noir, I presume. Hawk Moth sent me as his new accomplice. Now, hand over your Miraculous!

Ladybug: Not gonna happen Shadow Racer!

Shadow Racer[Blurr]:(snarl) Oh so you wanna play dirty. Well fine by me!(takes out a weapon) What do you say… Heatwave?

Heatwave sighed: I guess we’ll do.

Shadow Racer left them and said as a warning: If you don’t see me tonight at the track, you’ll eat my dust.(cackle)

He changed to his vehicle mode and sped off.

Graham: I think that this is probably our fault.

Salvage: You think?! Of course it’s your fault!

Heatwave: We’d better be at the race track tonight like Blur…(realizing) Shadow Racer said.

Ladybug: We’re going with you as well. We have to find where his Akuma is.

Boulder: But what even are Miraculous?

Chase: And what is an Akuma?

Ladybug: An Akuma, is a magical butterfly capable of giving the target superhuman abilities. The use of these butterflies, while usually used for good, can be used for evil, as demonstrated by Hawk Moth.

Cat Noir: They usually land on something that means a lot to someone. And they come when Hawk Moth senses dark and negative energy.

Graham: So we caused Blurr’s negative energy from all the criticism, judgement and anger to him.

Heatwave: But it was mostly because of me. I let all my anger out on him. (sigh) It’s all my fault. I’m the reason he’s like this now.

Ladybug: Well Heatwave, you still have time to change this mistake. You all do.

Boulder: But can someone please explain to me what Miraculous are?

Ladybug: Well, it’s the jewels that give us powers. Mine are my earrings.

Cat Noir: And my ring is mine.

Boulder: Oh.

At night at the race track:

Shadow Racer was waiting, and he hated waiting.

Shadow Racer[Blurr]:(growls and yells) Where are they?!

Heatwave: We’re here.

Shadow Racer turned to see the team with Ladybug and Cat Noir with them.

Shadow Racer[Blurr] smirked: Well, well, well. You decided to show up after all. Thought you’d chicken out or pee your pants.

Kade:(whispering to Heatwave) We messed up bad.

Heatwave stood up front of Shadow Racer and spoke up: Blurr, I mean…Shadow Racer. We-we’re sorry. We didn’t know what you were going through.

Shadow Racer[Blurr]:(scoff) Sorry? You think apologies are enough to what you all put me through?!

Boulder: Okay, we deserved to be yelled at. But Heatwave’s right. We shouldn’t have judged you nor criticized you.

His visor shined a dark aura.

Hawk Moth to Shadow Racer: This may be the perfect chance, Shadow Racer. Ladybug and Cat Noir are here. And the team who hurt you as well. now, get Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculous!

Shadow Racer[Blurr]:(starting his engines on jets) You don’t have to tell me twice.

Shadow Racer sped towards them.

Ladybug yelled: Watch out!

Everyone moved before getting hit by Shadow Racer.

Blades: What do we do?! He won’t listen to us!

Shadow Racer then jumped on Blades.

Blades: Aah! Get off me!

Shadow Racer[Blurr] smirked: No.

His visor glowed again.

Ladybug realized: His visor. The Akuma’s in his visor!

Cody: How are we gonna get that off him?

Heatwave: Cody’s right. Our visors are part of our robot-modes.

Cat Noir: Maybe I can try to use my Cataclysm.

Salvage: Well, we need a distraction.

Kara: And I may have one.

They gathered around Kara as she explained her distraction to stop Shadow Racer, destroy the visor, get rid of the Akuma, and get Blurr back to normal.

Heatwave sighed: Fair enough. It’s basically all my fault he’s like this.

Chase: Heatwave. We all played a part. We all drove Blurr away.

Boulder: We’re all in this. Together.

Blades: As a team.

Shadow Racer changed to vehicle mode.

Heatwave: If he wants to race, then let’s race.

Heatwave changed to into a firetruck, and opened two of his doors.

Heatwave: Kade, Kara. Hop in!

They hoped in Heatwave.

Ladybug and Cat Noir hopped on top.

Blades: Hey! Shadow Racer! You wanna race him?

The word race caught his attention.

Shadow Racer[Blurr]: Fine. But let’s make a deal. If I win, I get Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculous.

Cat Noir: And if we win?

Shadow Racer[Blurr]: I’ll be clean and I won’t hurt any of you.(smirks darkly)

Hawk Moth was impressed and told Shadow Racer: Impressive tactics. And I like how you thought to get the Miraculous. Now, make sure you win!

Ladybug: Times like this call for my…

Lucky Charm!

The Lucky Charm summoned a race banner.

Ladybug: A race banner?

Kade: Okay. What are you gonna do with that exactly?

Ladybug thought for a moment. She looked at her surroundings. First a Cat Noir, then at Kara, Heatwave, and finally at Blurr.

Ladybug: That’s it!(to Cat Noir) Cat Noir. Prepare your Cataclysm.

Cat Noir: Cataclysm!

Cat Noir: Now what?

Ladybug: Kara. Hold one side of the banner.

Kara got one side: Got it.

Ladybug: Heatwave. I may need you to change into bot mode.

Heatwave: Then that means for Kade to get off me.

Kade: What? I thought we were gonna race!

Blades: Isn’t that what Shadow Racer wants? He wants to race.

Ladybug: We are gonna race to catch him with this banner.

Cat Noir: Trust her. She knows what she’s doing.

They did as Ladybug told them.

Shadow Racer sped super fast. So fast,that he didn’t pay attention to the front a got tangled and wrapped in the banners.

Shadow Racer:[Blurr] What!? Hey! Let go of me morons!

Cat Noir then used his Cataclysm right on the visor. It broke into dust, and the Akuma came out.

Ladybug: No more evil doing for you, little Akuma.(opening her yoyo)

She prepare and shouted: Time to de-evilize!

She launched her yoyo and the Akuma was caught inside.

Ladybug: Gotcha!

She then let the butterfly purified let it fly away: Bye,bye little butterfly.

She then threw the race banner shouting: Miraculous Ladybug!

And everything went back to the way it should be. And Blurr was de-Akumatized. His visor was fixed. He was no longer Shadow Racer.

Blurr: What… what happened?

Heatwave hugged Blurr.

Blurr was shocked: Wha? Heatwave? Are you… hugging me?

Heatwave: You deserved it.

Then the others joined in as well. They embraced Blurr tightly.

Heatwave then spoke up, sadness: Blurr. We’re really sorry. About everything. Especially me. I owe you an apology. For how I treated you.

Chief Burns: Heatwave’s right. We didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.

Chase: We let you down. We weren’t cooperating with you.

Boulder: We should’ve been more careful about what we were saying. We should’ve been more nice to you.

Blades: Yeah. We didn’t know what you were going through. And we should’ve known better.

Blurr had tears come down: Really?

Boulder: We mean it.

Optimus Prime spoke up and said: You are a very valuable member to be part of this team,Blurr. Never forget that.

Heatwave: So, can you forgive us?

Blurr thought about it. But he then said: Yeah. I can.

They embraced hard.

Ladybug gave Blurr a special charm that will protect him from getting Akumatized ever again.

Blurr: Thank you Ladybug, and Cat Noir. And, I’m sorry for trying to hurt you.

Ladybug: It’s not your fault. You were being controlled. But this charm will protect you now.

Heatwave put a hand on Blurr’s shoulder: And we promise to help you out Blurr.

They did. Blurr tried to stay calm and the team helped him avoid anymore Akumas from Hawk Moth.
