My V3 Talentswap AU!

HEYA!

Here's a lil talentswap AU. Its just for fun yet again and there won't be much made out of it. Here we go!

Male Cast:

Shuichi Saihara: Ultimate Crime Novelist

Appearance: Dark hoodie with some hitakana, bag with writing utensils and tools, also carries a notepad on him to take notes, for potential ideas. Lean built, yet firm.

Growing up mostly alone with his uncle, Shuichi spent most of his time reading case files, which gave him a fascination for crime novels in general, inspiring him to become a novelist himself. He published many crime novels, and he is beloved thanks to that. He does avoid interviews mostly and when he goes outside, he often goes outside disguised.

Kaito Momota: Ultimate Motivational Speaker

Appearance: Wears a dark pink sleeveless shirt that exposes his arms and is tight enough for his muscles to shine. His hair is a bit shorter and more well-kept. Very muscular and has facial hair

Kaito's whole life was rather normal, with no real personal tragedies. However, after losing his best friend to depression, he decided to become a motivational speaker, so the others can find the power within them to change and grow. He is very adamant and determined, if a little overbearing and too passionate.

In his freetime, he still does stargazing.

Ryoma Hoshi: Ultimate Assassin

Appearance: Complete Prison Uniform, dark purple, wears handcuffs. Hair is barely visible and he has baggy eyes. Muscular built

Like in the main story, Ryoma used to be a tennis player, who took out the mafia to take revenge against them, for killing his lover. But in this AU, Ryoma was never arrested and took the job as an Assassin, in order to keep the money afloat. He hates his job and a part of him wants to turn himself in and yet, some part of him wants to keep going. He was eventually arrested, but even so he managed to continue his business in his prison, often taking out prisoners who did the worst kind of possible crimes and sometimes helping prisoners escape, if they had been wrongly conflicted.

He loves the sea and animals. He is also a vegetarian.

Kokichi Oma: Ultimate Clown

Appearance: Light Purple and white jester suit, with clown makeup on it. Lean built and quite short.

Kokichi Oma always liked pranking people even as a child, yet after a meeting with someone special, he realised that making pranks to hurt people was wrong and instead began using his abilities, to make people laugh instead. Taking on the persona of "The Lying Clown" he often visits hospitals where kids reside, to put on a show and laugh. He makes sure to never curse or be mean in front of them, only doing so when they are not there.

In his freetime, he watches tons of social media posts and is quite a big k-pop fan.

Korekiyo Shinguji: Ultimate Ex-In

Appearance: Long black hair, wears a dark suit with a red tie, has no mask and he has no lipstick, like in canon. He is tall and lean, yet still toned in some areas.

Korekiyo Shinguji suffered his whole life, thanks to psychological abuse from his family, especially his sister. After a metal breakdown, in which he nearly murdered a young girl, he was sent to the psychiatry and after a year of therapy and recovery, he came out better than ever. Now he's an Ex-In, someone who's experienced with the inner workings of the psychiatry and helps other inmates to recover, by giving them advice on medication, thought progress and overall well being.

He's an avid reader, although he avoids anything that's too scary or horrifying.

Rantaro Amami: Ultimate Drag Queen

Appearance:

In costume: Dark blue undershirt, tons of makeup, especially green lipstick and medium length fake nails, along with fishnet stockings.

Out of costume: Dark blue shirt like in canon. But the lipstick remains and so does his extended eyelashes. He also wears a dark green coat over his shirt and has long baggy pants light blue pants. Piercings remain. His overall built is muscular, but still pretty lean and not bulky.

Rantaro Amami always had a thing for crossdressing. Whether it was because of him having a deep platonic relationship with his sisters or because of his general affinity for feminine clothing, he began to perform in drag on stage. This was something his father did not enjoy in the slightest and so, he was disowned and Rantaro performed on his own, secretly being in contact with his siblings for advice.

He listens to piano music in his freetime and likes to give make-up tips to others.

Gonta Gokuhara: Ultimate Botanist

Appearance: Dark Suit, well-kept long hair. pair of small glasses and a bag, to carry his notebook about various flowers he sees. Built like in canon and very well shaven.

The patriarch of the Gokuhara Family Clan, Gonta may look intimidating and strong, but is very sweet. He never went lost in the woods as a kid and therefore grew up, his parents grooming him as the next heir. But his good-hearted nature remains and so did his love for nature, allowing him to grow up to become interested in plants. He began to grow flowers and tons of other plants, for nature to thrive and for him to learn more of this world.

He still speaks in third person, but he is still highly intelligent, if a bit naive. He enjoys drinking tea.

Keebo: Ultimate Anthropologist

Appearance: Same body like in canon, but he wears a beautiful dark green kimono over his body and his ahoge is pointing behind him. Bulky

Keebo was built by his father, as an attempt to understand humanity more. For this purpose, to please his father, Keebo began to research humanity and about his tales. But witnessing the rather gruesome parts of humanity did leave him depressed, though he is trying his best to cover it up.

In his part-time, he tries stand-up comedy. Keyword being, "tries".

Female Cast:

Kaede Akamatsu: Ultimate Barrista

Appearance: Wears a white shirt with a big pink apron and some dark blue jeans. A rather chubby built.

Kaede Akamatsu's life was rather simple. Loving parents and a loving sister, her life was good without any more difficulties. That was, until her parents passed away and so, Kaede took over the Café. She left behind her piano passion, so she and her sister cam remain afloat. During that time, she became an expert at making any sorts of coffee, so much so that she has been dubbed "The Coffee Queen" by the local media, a title she is not that fond of. She is nice and hard-working, but also misses playing the piano.

She listens to classical music in her freetime and can speak fluent german.

Tsumugi Shirogane: Ultimate ???

Appearance: White blouse, a dark blue cravat and short blue hair with a pair of glasses. Has a chubby built.

Tsumugi Shirogane is rather secretive. Not much is known about her talent or where she came from. She is rather interested in manga and anime, yet she claims her real talent is not related to any of that.

In her freetime, she reads tons of novels and challenges herself with all sorts of puzzles.

Tenko Chabashira: Ultimate Drag King

Appearance:

In costume: Wears a dark blue suit and wears a fake mustache, along with baggy clothes.

Out of costume: Has long hair, wears turqouise shirt and a pair of light yellow shorts. Has a muscular built.

Tenko Chabashira doesn't like men. She loves exercising and protect women from evil men (at the cost of several restraining orders). Her becoming a drag king, was because she lost a bet with a friend, forcing her to perform on stage. Tenko at first hated it and then began to enjoy it, using her persona to mock overly hypermasculine and misogynistic men and also gives advice for men to improve themselves, in order to protect females. She is a bit stupid, but her heart is good.

She loves watching circus performances and loves bubble tea.

Maki Harukawa: Ultimate Chef

Appearance: Wears a big black apron and her hair is shorter, tied to a ponytail. She has kitchen tools around her belt. Has a tall yet firm and toned built.

Maki Harukawa grew up in an orphanage, like in canon. Surrounded by tons of kids, she eventually began to care for them and also took up cooking, to give her "siblings" (the other orphanages) some food. She is extremey skilled at cooking anything and she hates junk food of any kind, while also being an overly perfectionist. She does offer cooking lessons and she doesn't get, why no one wants to employ her services. (Everyone is scared of her.)

She enjoys arcade games, but nobody knows that. Except one.

Kirumi Tojo: Ultimate Prosecutor

Appearance: Dark purple suit, short grey hair, wears glasses and has a golden pocket watch in her pocket. Tall and lean strong built.

Kirumi Tojo is the most feared prosecutor in the country. She is very obsessed with justice, after witnessing her brother's killer escaping off-scott free, due to a faulty justice system. She became a prosecutor to change the system from the inside and yet, is often willing to pull dirty tactics to find the truth. Nothing of that is proven, though...as of now.

She enjoys playing video games and likes Facebook memes.

Angie Yonaga: Ultimate Influencer

Appearance: A white tanktop, long white hair ad baggy jeans. She has an athletic and fit built.

Angie Yonaga is an influencer, hailing from her island, to share more about her culture, life and Atua's teaches. She is beloved by many for her charming smile and bubbly personality. Angie does not like racist slurs in the slightest, especially the N-word and will get extremely PISSED, if anyone uses that word nearby, even as a joke.

She loves sketching in her free time and to visit the beach. She is fluent in many languages, including Bulgarian.

Himiko Yumeno: Ultimate Strongwoman

Appearance: Dark red top hat, sleeveless suit with a red cravat and some long stockings. Extremely tall, bulky.

Himiko Yumeno is known worldwide, to be the main attraction of the Nanami Circus. On stage, she is proud, witty and very confident. But in reality, this is a facade. In reality, Himiko is often depressed, tired and overworked. She hates her job and yet still keeps doing it, because it brings her money and makes her think that's the only thing she's good at.

She loves animals of all kinds and even if she is very strong, she actually would never hurt a soul.

Miu Iruma: Ultimate Mechanic

Appearance: White messy undershirt, dark pink overalls, tons of tools on her belt and wires wrapped around her arms. Has a strong fat built.

Miu spent most of her life in poverty and thanks to this, had to work her whole life in her friend's mechanical shop. Thanks to that, she began to learn more about machinery and get interested in it too. She is quite strong physically, yet her endurance is rather poor, due to a combination of poor nutrition and lack of sleep. She spends all night perfecting certain inventions, while taking care of clients during the day. As foul-mouthed as she is, this mechanic has a golden heart.

And she loves watching kids cartoons in her freetime and playing video games.

I like drv3 talent swaps but I rlly wish ppl wouldn't just stick their 'ultimate leader' in dice. Like make up a new organization or just make them a leader of smth else, that's Kokichi's thing! They were important enough to Kokichi to be in his motive video, it's not like they're just random henchmen

Nearly everyone in drv3 had something else they could've led, none of them are connected to dice bc it wasn't designed for them. Like it doesn't even need to be a crime organization, that was tailored to Kokichi.

And you don't need to take away their entire personality because they're better at a different thing? Like gonta would still like bugs, it's like 90% of his personality. Let them lead something that has meaning to them instead of just y/n-ing them into dice. I'm gonna stick ideas under the cut bc like be creative?

Rantaro - idk him very well, didn't he raise his (many) sisters? Being a leader doesn't always mean they're in an organization/club

Kaede - stick her in a band? Or like a choir group. Leading a criminal organization would change her character a lot

Ryoma - tennis team? Idk much about sports. Or like a prison gang bc didn't he say he went to prison

Kirumi - ngl you wouldn't have to change a single thing there, she's the president already

Angie - student council? Or like a priest

Tenko - idk her that well but like lead some kinda akido group? Like a martial arts club. Dice has dudes so she definitely wouldn't be their leader

Korekiyo - yeah I know nothing about him or anthropology. Study group (studying culture) ?

Miu - Engineering club

Gonta - could he be the leader of bugs? Yk like how ppl can train bugs into behaving differently. If not then a bug study group (ik I already said that but it's a different type of study group okay?)

Kaito - training group? Like with Maki and Shuichi or like a group of astronauts-in-training with Kaito as their group leader

Kiibo - robotics/engineering club. He'd be so different without his talent though ngl

Tsumugi - cosplay group

Shuichi - lead detective on a case

Maki - she was in an assassin group right? Make her the leader of that

Himiko - magician club (lol my old teacher tried to make one of those but no one wanted to go)

Like they literally could've just led a group project rlly well, it doesn't need to be dice. I once read a fic where the new leader was literally just Kokichi with a name change. Sometimes it rlly seems like people want a roleswap instead of a talent swap and like there are so many options!

Can you tell us more about magician Rantaro if possible & his relationships with Kaito & Shuichi in Demix? I really like the idea of him performing magic tricks for his sisters btw, it really is nice!

Hello and thanks for all the asks and continued interest in my project! I really appreciate it.

As for the man himself, Rantaro is a more modern Magician in the style of Criss Angel, Illusionist is his preferred title, but he keeps the word "magic" in his title still for his younger sisters, helps keep the wonder alive for them after all.

As for how he got into the talent at all, it's because of them! With such a big family, not even including aunts and other unmentioned people, Rantaro started learning little tricks to entertain his siblings on lonely, boring nights, before needing to up his game the moment any of his family caught on. Creating an arms race between himself and his maturing sisters, some older and wiser while others smarter from birth.

This little arms race turned Rantaro from a little boy doing sleight of hand to stop his baby sisters' crying, to a teen Houdini.

Eventually he would get recognized after his sisters conspired to make him perform out in the open, catching the attention of the world at large. Now he's a world class magician, whose look is heavily inspired by the things his sisters like.

As for relationships:

Kaito - Kaito essentially tries the same approach he used on Shuichi to make him open up more on Rantaro, who likes doing stuff by himself kind of cryptically, to Rantaro's annoyance. While Rantaro kind of wants to keep an air of mystique about himself, Kaito really just wants things to be out in the open. Kaito also serves as a wall of muscle between Rantaro and Tenko, but in the end it's always Rantaro who diffuses things.

And Rantaro really starts warming up to the idea... until Kaede's twin murders Kaito.

Shuichi - Shuichi on the other hand, understands the soft sensitive boy vibe he's working up and gets Kaito to ease off a bit. Set up strong ground rules and respect boundaries more. Rantaro really appreciates that and they make great friends til Kaede's twin murders Shu.

Talentswap! Ult. Astronaut Junko and Ult. Fashionista Kaito.

As for backstory... Junko decides being an astronaut will give her a lot of sway over the public and let her get away to space, where no one can physically get to her to interfere. And maybe traveling to other planets or even other galaxies wouldn't be boring? She had this thought due to a chance encounter with some guy who talked it up to her...

Meanwhile, Kaito gets diagnosed with a serious illness pretty young, which means he can never meet the health requirements to be an astronaut. Pursuing something related like engineering or astronomy feels like "giving up", so his grandparents encourage him to pursue unrelated things that make him happy. (In a slightly different world, this is the origin of Ult. Gardener Kaito.) By that point he'd already started dyeing his hair plus getting his uniform altered, so he decided to try and connect with people over that. (Baby Kaito fresh from the boonies wandering through Harajuku......) Not every fashion decision of his is great, but he's infectiously confident to the point that people want to promote him, and he ends up starting trends and getting big in magazines and online. He's still passionate about space, but inspiring people to be true to themselves by finding their own style is very fulfilling to him.

To be clear, Junko's still Ult. Despair in this AU, not Kaito. She gets famous as the youngest person to go space by her second year at Hope's Peak and probably ends up founding a Mars colony or something equally absurd (spoiler alert: it goes murderously badly for people who end up there). She sets off the Tragedy remotely from orbit. Maybe the V3 kids end up launched into space for a killing game. I assume aliens appear at some point because that seems about the level of nonsense to expect from the DR universe.

Unfortunately, I think Kaito is probably a massive Junko fan. He tells the story of how he totally inspired her to be an astronaut, and no one believes him, but then she shows up and actually knows him?????? If there is a V3 equivalent killing game, he might be the traitor... or the mastermind 😲 Alternatively he's deeply hurt by her betrayal and ends up inspiring the rest of the class to take up the Ult. Hope mantle in opposition to her (I assume he still dies of his illness no matter what 😔).

Korekiyo Shinguuji, Ultimate Lucky Student

(Having been cursed with bad luck his whole life, as an abandoned orphan, Korekiyo finds fascination in the idea and concept of luck, considering it "beautiful". This causes him to be seen as unnerving by others, in spite of his otherwise affable personality. With his massive collection of lucky charms on his person, Korekiyo is determined to turn his bad luck around, survive the killing game, and find his missing sister.)

Kokichi Ouma, Ultimate Clockmaker

(This enigmatic young lad, in spite of his immature appearance and personality, is a prodigy when it comes to handcrafting only the most intricate of clocks. His appearance and personality also belies a conniving chronic liar, who speaks entirely in clock and time-related metaphors and seems intent on toying with and confusing his fellow classmates.)

Maki Harukawa, Ultimate Plastic Surgeon

(While a master in all matters of surgical procedures, Maki seems to specialize in cosmetic surgeries for a massive number of celebrities. In spite of this, Maki claims to dislike performing surgery and can't stand the self-centered attitudes of the people she performs her surgeries on. Both in and out of the operating room, Maki is cold and aloof, not willing to engage in small talk.)

Kirumi Tojo, Ultimate Personal Stylist

(Famous for her attractive appearance and gothic punk fashion, all the spikes and leather belie a loyal and kind-hearted woman. If one wishes to improve their wardrobe, Kirumi will always be there to help, with her knowledge on all matters fashion. However, while she may normally be passive and obedient, let's just say that this leather hides silk, which also hides steel.)

Rantaro Amami, Ultimate Zither Player

(While infamous for his travels and the wealthy family that he is a part of, Rantaro is even more famous for his innate talent in playing the many instruments of the zither family. Rantaro is known amongst the class for his bountiful wisdom, his coolheadedness, and his attractive appearance. Having 12 younger sisters back home, Rantaro appears to have a brotherly instinct, when it comes to a couple of people in his class.)

Shuichi Saihara, Ultimate Effects Artist

(As the son of a famous actor and screenwriter, it was only natural that Shuichi would be an expert on the ins and outs of the film industry, although his main speciality is in special effects. In spite of his status as a blueblooded prodigy, Shuichi is also extraordinarily humble and timid, possibly due to all the hotshot actors overshadowing him.)

Kaede Akamatsu, Ultimate Jockey

(Having a love for horses since she was young, Kaede won many horse-racing competitions and always has a spot in her heart for all of her horses. Cheerful and energetic even off the track, in spite of her legions of fans, Kaede is also rather socially-inept, spending more time with horses than with actual people.)

Himiko Yumeno, Ultimate Matchmaker

(Referring to herself as the "Ultimate Cupid" and fashioning herself in a similar manner, if Himiko senses the right chemistry between two people, they would be destined to be happy together. Outside of romantic pursuits however, in which case she becomes extremely conniving and ambitious, Himiko is incredibly lazy and would only ever put in the absolute minimum effort, if asked to do something.)

Gonta Gokuhara, Ultimate Horror Fanatic

(Having been raised away from civilization by a bunch of eldritch horrors, Gonta is an expert when it comes to all matters horror. He is very enthusiastic when it comes to the topic of horror, and would love to talk at lengths about them. In spite of his creepy fascination and bad tendency to psychoanalyze, Gonta prides himself on being a kindhearted "gentleman" to everybody.)

(Truly an academic role model in every sense of the word, Ryoma is renowned throughout his school for topping academic charts and being diligent towards his studies, and always being eager to assist other people. He is even a star member of his school's tennis club. According to some unreliable sources, though, Ryoma is more lazy and pessimistic than what his public appearance would seem.)

Miu Iruma, Ultimate Chemist

(Specializing in the studies of pheromones and aphrodisiacs, Miu is about as perverted and bawdy as one would expect from someone with that line of study. In addition to her sex-laden speech, Miu is also highly proud of her intellect and appearance, and is always ready to put down other people for their perceived lack of intelligence/beauty. Unless they talk back to her...)

Tsumugi Shirogane, Ultimate Pet Therapist

(Garnering fame in her hometown for being able to rehabilitate and reason with even the most disobedient of pets, it is often rumored that Tsumugi has the ability to speak to animals, something that she would neither confirm nor deny. Generally preferring the company of animals to people, Tsumugi always tries her best to blend in to the background and seem as "plain" or "unnoticeable" as possible.)

Kiibo Iidabashi, Ultimate Bowler

(Raised by a former bowling champion, it didn't take long for Kiibo to pick up their father's craft with ease, eventually joining the best bowling league in the country. Having spent a good portion of his life having their favorite sport be belittled and mocked, Kiibo is notably sensitive and overprotective, when it comes to the topic of their talent. Apart from that, they remain kind and cheerful.)

Kaito Momota, Ultimate Art Forger

(Despite referring to himself as the "Modern Day Da Vinci" and being genuinely talented at all artistic pursuits, Kaito's talent is one of the more sketchy and morally ambiguous of his class. Having been exposed for his forgery by the authorities, Kaito seeks to turn over a new leaf and remake himself with a brand-new heroic image and persona, seeking to restore the rapidly-disappearing art of the past.)

Tenko Chabashira, Ultimate Rebel

(Standing up for the rights of women everywhere, Tenko wants nothing more than to dismantle the patriarchy hanging over the heads of innocent women everywhere. Tenko is also well-known for her contributions towards the lesbian/trixic community, garnering a reputation as a lesbian icon. Ignoring her vilurant hatred of men, especially male authority figures, Tenko is cheerful and warmhearted.)

Angie Yonaga, Ultimate Inspirational Speaker

(Traveling all over the country to spread her motivational speeches to as many people as possibly, Angie greets every day with a bright smile and a blessing being made towards Atua, while encouraging others to do the same. In spite of her title being "inspirational speaker", it wouldn't too far off to call her a "preacher" or a "missionary" with how dedicated she towards Atua's word.)

Once when he was younger, Rantaro’s parents brought him to a cave just to tour. Even though it wasn’t a formal exploration, Rantaro was so enthralled that he never forgot that first time.

Since then, he trained himself to become a cave explorer. The wild caves he would be exploring weren’t as safe as the one he toured, so it took a lot of preparation, both mentally and physically.

Rantaro was accomplished enough that he’d published several maps of the caves he’d gone into. He was widely regarded in the caving community for all the work he’d put into those maps.

It was clear to his classmates that Rantaro had no fear of the dark or tight spaces, since he was so used to caves. He seemed almost completely fearless to most of them.

He did his best to bring back photos for them when he could, but a lot of them, unsurprisingly, were too dark for them to see anything. Besides, they didn’t care as much about the rock formations.

A Day in the Life of a Gamer!Kaede

Or: my talentswap au in a non-despair setting with a focus on Ult. Gamer Kaede and some moments feat. a Reserve Course Tsumugi, Ult. Bartender Shuichi, and an Ult. Magician Kokichi.

Being at Hope's Peak is strange, but in a good way. Of course, she gets to meet all kinds of people that she wouldn't have met unless they were watching her stream or are in the same lobby as her. And they're all with some quirk one way or another, which makes her feel less like a "Gamer Freak" around them.

Experiencing the diverseness of the people in her classes and even outside of it is something she loves dearly. But... of course, there's always going to be something slightly strange...

Every so often, she notices a girl with very long blue hair and glasses standing in the doorway. She wears the signature black ribbon and long-sleeved white dress shirt that Reserve Course students wear. While RC students aren't banned from being around Ultimates or anything (how messed up would that be?), their classes are in different areas. It's just inconvenient for them to be walking back and forth unless they've got friends here. And evidently, this girl does, because Rantaro meets her out in the doorway. He always invites her in, but she always rejects it.

Today, she's out there again. She's almost like an NPC, following her designated pathing outside of her class door. Unfortunately for her, Rantaro had stepped out. She must not have known, because she's standing there in her idle animation.

She could:

> Go back to her game [which would probably lead to the girl just standing out there until Rantaro comes back] > Tell her about Rantaro [which would probably lead to more interesting dialogue options]

“Hey, um, Rantaro went to the bathroom, he should be back in a few minutes.”  

The girl looks up at her and quickly looks away. She frowns. Did she do something wrong?

The girl meets the blonde's stare, and her eyes widen considerably. “A-ah, please don’t mind me, I’m just very plain…” 

“Hey!” Kaede pouts. “Don’t say that, I’m sure you’re amazing! You’re very pretty, to start!” 

Tsumugi smiles, pity in her gaze. “That’s very kind of you, but I don’t have a talent. I really am plain boring…”

“No, it makes you the most interesting person here!” She gets a skeptical hmm, and she figures she'll need more interactions with her to convince her. “I’m Kaede Akamatsu, the Ultimate Gamer. Nice to meet you…?” She pauses with a tilt of her head.

“Tsumugi Shirogane, just a plain ol’ person.”

“Yeah, we’ll work on that.” She even sounds like an NPC…

She's finished up a map on Project Sekai and about to start a new one, only acutely aware of the familiar purple blur that always comes up to her seatmate when-

“No, Kokichi, I’m cutting you off.” Shuichi frowns, moving a cup with dark liquid away from the boy whose arms are crossed on his desk.

Cutting him off-? 

“But Shumai!” He whines, even crying hysterically.

“A-are you serving Kokichi alcohol?!” Kaede screeches. She believes in Shuichi, but she knows he has drinks in his lab to mix with...

“He is!” Kokichi giggles.

Oh goodness, this is way worse than she thought!

Shuichi only lets out a heavy sigh. Upon catching her highly concerned look, he shakes his head. “No, he’s lying. It’s just Panta with some root beer. I don’t even know how he can drink so much of this stuff…”

She lets out a huge sigh of relief. She couldn't imagine dealing with a temporarily debuffed Ouma, and an inebriated one at that...

“Nishishi~! It's because of your amazing skills!”

“That's very kind of you, Ouma...” The boy flushes.

Kokichi frowns. “Yikes, you really believed me? It was a lie.”

“I doubt it.” She interjects. “You're very talented after all, Shuichi, so-” She yawns. “-don't listen to him.”

“Kay-ay-day, he knows that lie was a lie! Righttt, Shu?”

Shuichi blinks slowly. “...Right.” He turns to her. “You stayed up again, didn't you?”

The reminder has the bags on her eyes feel heavier than ever. “Ah, is it that obvious?” She chuckles sheepishly.

“A little.”

“Ha! More like really obvious!” Kokichi snickers. “Here, I have just the thing!” He hands her a flower. It's a sunflower.

She takes it gratefully. “Thank you Ouma, this is quite pretty.” She holds it up to her face and-

“EEP!”

Drops of water drips down her face.

“Kokichi!” Shuichi gasps.

“Kokichi...” Kaede warns lowly.

“Wow, you really are tired if you fell for the easiest trick in the book.” It comes out as a tease, but Kokichi's frowning. He pulls out some cloths from his sleeve and offers it to her.

She takes them gratefully, wiping her face off.

“Are you alright?” Shuichi asks, his brows furrowed.

She stares down Kokichi, who stares back at her.

She hears Shuichi gulp.

“Ultimate Magician? More like Ultimate Clown.” She grins.

Shuichi sags in relief.

“Heh, you really were worried, weren't you Shuichi? Haven't you dealt with tension between patrons before?”

“I have, but it's more unnerving when it's between friends...”

“Aw, you consider me as a friend, Shumai? How adorable!” Kokichi coos.

“I do too!” She pauses. “Sort of...”

“WAHHHHH! You're so mean Kaede!” Kokichi cries. “Did gaming so often make you forget how to interact with people or something?!”

Oof. She frowns. That was super effective...

She stares back down at her phone and thumbs at it.

“Quit it Kokichi.” Shuichi firmly snaps.

“I guess...” Kokichi sighs dramatically.

Later that day, she finds a tiny Kirby in her dorm. It would make a great charm for her phone.

But how did it get here? Her brows furrow.

Alas, she knows a magician never reveals his secrets.

First, here's Ultimate Anthropologist Nagito. Honestly, I was dreading making him since I don't really know how to combine Nagito and Korekiyo's outfits together, and I'm not really proud of his design, but oh well.

Second, here's Ultimate Photographer Rantaro. Now, truthfully, I really like his design here. I went for a more casual attire since Rantaro is really laid-back canonically, and I think it turned out really nicely!

Lastly, here's Ultimate Butler Kiibo. He's a cutie in my opinion, lol. Yeah, I made him human in this AU, so I'll be referring to him with the last name from his creator (Professor Idabashi, so Kiibo Idabashi).

Korekiyo: *glances at his face with a smile* I do...thank you very much. You sure know a lot about make-up.

Rantaro: Yeah I mean, as a drag queen I kinda have to figure out, how to use it. *chuckles to himself* Gotta look all pretty on stage.

Korekiyo: Kukuku...of course. I should have considered that.

Rantaro: Yeah, but don't worry. I am surprised that you came to me though, for some make-up tips.

Korekiyo: And why is that?

Rantaro: Gee...that sounds like a lot of work.

Korekiyo: Kukuku...it is. But I do not mind. I like working in this place, it feels...healing.

Rantaro: Makes sense....but say, Kiyo.

Korekiyo: Yes?

Rantaro: Since an ex-in is someone, who was in the psychiatry once before, does that mean that...you know.

Korekyio: Ah. *stops smiling and Rantaro frowns*

Rantaro: Sorry...guess that was too personal.

Korekiyo: No need to...it was justified. To answer your question, yes. I was there...a long time ago.

Rantaro: I see....*sighs* Well....anyways, I have to go now. Have a performance at the theater later and gotta still work on some more poses.

Korekiyo: Of course. *nods* See you later, Rantaro. I shall watch your show next time, when I have the chance.

Rantaro: That sounds great. See you.

*With that, Rantaro walked off and Korekiyo looked into the mirror, of his room. For a moment, he thought he saw someone smiling at him. HER, to be exact. But....he must have imagined it. It....it's okay....*
