A Crash Course to Boxing - The Perfect Weekend to Start Watching!
If you are someone who would like to get into watching professional boxing, but has found it too intimidating this is the perfect weekend for you!
While we don't have any huge superstars facing off, we have 3 amazing cards lined up from Saturday to Monday. They are all available to anyone that has an ESPN+ account (or is just comfortable finding sailing the 7 seas).
We are talking multiple world champions and some of the very best boxers alive today competing so it is 100% worth tuning in for. And since we have this line up, I figured I'd talk about each card and why they're worth watching.
Saturday, October 12th - Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol
Why Watch: This is the best fight that can be made in boxing in my humble opinion. Two of the P4P best fighters in the sport in the same division fighting for the undisputed title. Both have been incredibly dominant in completely opposite ways.
Artur Beterbiev is arguably the scariest finisher in boxing, having gone 20-0 while knocking out every single opponent he has faced to date. He holds 3 of the belts at 175lbs. Beterbiev is pathologically aggressive, breaking down his opposition over the course of his fights with devastating power and pressure. Dmitry Bivol is one of the most technically proficient boxers in the sport. Famous for handing Canelo Alvarez the 2nd loss of his career, Bivol's timing and footwork make him one of boxing's hardest nuts to crack. That's why he's gotten to 23-0. Easily one of the most compelling fights in combat sports at the moment.
There's some other good fights on the undercard (which won't be on ESPN+, but PPV. Yeah boxing is still weird). The best cruiserweight on the planet, Jai Opetaia (25-0) is defending his title against Jack Massey (22-2). On the women's side, Olympian Skye Nicolson (11-0) defends her world title against the UK's Raven Chapman (9-0). In terms of name value: Chris Eubank Jr. (33-3) is probably the biggest name on the card and will be facing Kamil Szeremeta (25-2-2).
Sunday - October 13th, 2024
Why Watch: Japanese promoter Teiken has made a habit of doing these double cards full of a bunch of title fights and I love them. The first of the two will take place on early Sunday morning. It'll feature 4 different world title fights, all featuring some of the funnest boxers in Japan at the moment.
First up, WBA bantamweight champion Takuma Inoue (20-1) will defend his title against Seiya Tsutsumi (11-0-2). Takuma is the brother of P4P star Naoya Inoue. A world champion in his own right, Takuma unfortunately doesn't have the power of his brother but is still a world class fighter and a damn good boxer. A win here would set up a unification bout with Junto Nakatani, another Japanese star. Seiya Tsutsumi is a former amateur standout in Japan that has quickly climbed the ranks to challenge for gold. He's been heralded as a future world champion for a while and even won and defended the Japanese BW title. He's also a dangerous finisher, making this a very fun fight to tune in for.
Perhaps the most accomplished fighter on the card is Kenshiro Teraji (21-1, 14 KOs). The former unified champion at light flyweight, Kenshiro is moving up to flyweight to chase another world title. He's one of the most exciting fighters in Japan and is coming off a FOTY contender in January against Carlos Canizales. He's facing off with Cristofer Rosales (37-6), who is himself a very dangerous flyweight. Should be an excellent scrap. We're also getting a fight featuring Seigo Yuri Akui (21-2) who is arguably the top flyweight in the world at the moment and the WBA champion.
Monday - October 14, 2024
Another early morning card from Japan.
Why Watch: Junto Nakatani (28-0, 21 KOs) is one of the emerging stars coming out of Japan. The WBC bantamweight champion first made waves in the US when he KOed Andrew Moloney in what was one of the best knockouts of 2023. He's recently appeared on Ring Magazine's P4P rankings. At 26, he has a lot of time to do some real damage at the world level. While this fight against a can-crusher like Petch Sor Chitpattana (76-1) isn't doing much for his legacy, it seems like it will be leading to a fight with both Inoue brothers if all things shake out the way they should. Which would be huge for boxing in Japan (and the world).
The 2nd reason to watch this card - Tenshin Nasukawa (4-0). Tenshin Nasukawa was the top P4P kickboxer on the planet when he left the sport to chase a boxing career. A feat he accomplished at like 24-25 years old. Now Tenshin is a full out boxer and has been looking every bit like a future world champion in the sport. He is facing far more experienced boxers and taking their lunch. He's not quite at the world title level yet but a win here against Gerwin Asilo (9-0) will only continue to nudge him up the ladder.
There are two other champions on this card worth knowing about - Anthony Olascuaga (7-1) and Kosei Tanaka (20-1). Got my first look at Olascuaga in his last fight where he looked like an absolute terror in the ring. Fast, accurate, and powerful for a flyweight, he took the WBO title with ease in a 3rd round KO win. Jonathan Gonzalez (28-3) is a very good fighter out of Puerto Rico who was the WBO light flyweight champion before moving up for this fight. Looking forward to that scrap. And Kosei Tanaka is a fun action fighter. Go watch that man slip punches and then flurry back with nice, crisp combinations in the pocket. Extremely satisfying.
Like I said, 3 terrific cards of boxing going down this weekend. If you've ever wanted to get into boxing these cards are a great entry.

A late Gift (Closed RP with @chiefatticcreator)
A few weeks ago, Daiki was celebrating his 12th birthday and got alot of presents from his family and friends, one of those presents was however rather unique... Orihime Kurosaki, the mother of his friend Kazui just gave him an envelope with a bit of text wishing him a happy birthday and that his real present comes when his parents are planing on doing a trip... he just needs to call her in time.
And so, Daiki stands before the Kurosaki household, waiting for Orihime to open and take care of him during the week, while both his parents and her husband and son are enjoying 2 different vacations

Daiki grinned as he watched the livestream of his favorite student Orihime Inoue, showing off her perfect body, thinking that censor filter would hide her identity. The Teacher was just planning to jerk off alone until Orihime's message changed his plans. Grinning he left to meet his favorite to show her what makes her so special in his eyes.
Open starter: Lively hijinks
Orihime knew what she was doing was a big risk. Especially with her doing this somewhere in Karakura High. And the censor face filter would do little to nothing to really hide her identity. Because just how many redheads with huge tits were there in Karakura.
Still, livestreaming herself like this was going to be so much fun!

The Golden Age of Japanese Talent in Western Motorsports
So, the heavy rumor at this point in F1 is that Sergio Perez's position at Red Bull has become untenable. An expensive release clause and a lack of a clear alternative has protected Perez for awhile now, but a truly dismal end to the 2024 season has meant Red Bull is willing to pay the price to get rid of him.
Not unlike McLaren with Daniel Ricciardo in 2022.
So, who is getting the nod to Red Bull?
Liam Lawson, it seems. This has pissed off a lot of fans, who feel that Yuki Tsunoda has performed well enough and has spent enough time at Alpha Tauri/VCARB to earn a chance at Red Bull.
Red Bull feels otherwise, and it seems to be because Yuki Tsunoda is at RB as a favor to engine supplier Honda, and Red Bull does not see Tsunoda continuing with them once they switch to Ford.
This got me thinking about Japanese drivers in motorsports, western motorsports in particular. I know that sounds just a bit orientalist and I apologize for that, but a variety of cultural, linguistic, and geographic factors have created a lot of barriers for Japanese drivers to come over here.
Japanese talent instead seems to focus on domestic competitions: Super Formula, Super GT, the Suzuka 8 Hour, etc, etc.
Meanwhile, Japanese talent in the west is most often associated with a Japanese manufacturer. This is what I want to talk about today.
An early prominent example of this is Satoru Nakajima, who Honda tried to put in a Williams in 1986. Frank Williams refused, reasoning that Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell was a much stronger lineup. Thus, Honda went to their other customer team in Lotus, and Nakajima was put into the car in 1987, partnering Ayrton Senna.
Ayrton won two races and finished third in the standings.
Satoru...did not. His best result was a fourth place.
Nevertheless, Satoru continued with Lotus in 1988, now alongside Nelson Piquet. Now, nobody was touching McLaren that year and Lotus slipped to fourth in the constructors' championship, but Nakajima was actually closer to Piquet than he was to Senna. Granted, he only scored one point, but in terms of pace and performance, he was a lot closer.
Satoru Nakajima - nor Aguri Suzuki, who also appeared in F1 around this time - didn't accomplish much, but they did pave the way for the 1990s, which would turn out to be a golden age for Japanese drivers in western motorsports.
On the Formula One side of things, we had Nakajima, Suzuki, Naoki Hattori, Ukyo Katayama, Toshio Suzuki (no relation), Hideki Noda, Taki Inoue, Shinji Nakano, and Toranosuke Takagi all made appearances.
A number of these guys, most prominently Shinji Nakano and Tora Takagi, would also make appearances in CART, where Honda and Toyota were engine suppliers.
The racing series where Japanese talent shined brightest, however, was Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing, now known as MotoGP. Here, Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki made sure that Japanese manufacturers were well represented, and the 1997 season is probably the best example of that.
Australian Mick Doohan was dominant, yes, but behind him...the Japanese were all over the series. Teammate Tadayuki Okada won the Indonesian Grand Prix and finished second in the championship, whilst Takuma Aoki on a Repsol Honda entered NSR500V - a cheaper V2 variant of the V4 NSR500, meant for customer teams - finished fifth with three podiums.
Takuma's brother, Nobuatsu Aoki was third on another V4 Honda, taking four podiums and managing to just barely finish ahead of Repsol's Alex Crivillé, who was hampered by a midseason injury.
It wasn't limited to just Honda either, as Yamaha had the famous Norifumi Abe, who won three races himself - the 1996 Japanese GP at Suzuki, the 1999 Rio de Janeiro GP at Jacarepaguá, and then the 2000 Japanese GP, also at Suzuka - but was more known for wild and aggressive performances.
Norifumi was so famous at this point that a young Valentino Rossi used Rossifumi as his first nickname.
Before there was the Doctor, there was Rossifumi.
So yeah, in 1997, there were four Japanese riders in the top ten of the championship, and while none of them could quite match Mick Doohan, neither could anyone else back then.
So, what happened to all this?
That's the difficult question really. My first thought was that maybe it was the switch from 500cc bikes to the 990cc bikes of the MotoGP era. Perhaps the increased cost and professionalization of the grid reduced the number of Japanese riders.
The problem is that it doesn't quite hold true. Daijiro Kato in 2002 was shaping up to be the best Japanese prospect perhaps ever, before his career was cut short by a tragic death at the 2003 Japanese Grand Prix.
Did that death kill the Japanese stomach for motorcycle racing? I mean, maybe, but it sure didn't in the moment.
Abe was still around, as were Tohru Ukawa and Noriyuki Haga, while Shinya Nakano spent the mid-2000s dragging his Kawasaki into contention whenever he could, and Makoto Tamada won at Rio and Motegi in 2004 on the Camel Honda, giving us the first multi-win season for a Japanese rider.
It more just seemed to fade out over the course of the 2000s.
By the 2010s, Japanese participation in MotoGP was reduced to one satellite Honda rider and then maybe a wildcard ride or two from the Yamaha or Suzuki test teams at Motegi.
By the 2020s, that rider was Taka Nakagami, but for 2025, that seems to be changing.
The Idemitsu LCR Honda - the Honda reserved for Asian talent - will go to Thai rider Somkiat Chantra. Surprisingly though, this does not mean the end to a Japanese rider on the grid, as Ai Ogura has been signed by Trackhouse to ride an Aprilia.
A Japanese rider on an American team running an Italian bike.
This is a big deal, because it marks the first time in twenty years that a Japanese rider was picked entirely on merit, having denied a chance to go to LCR Honda to stay in Moto2 and prove himself.
And prove himself he did, because Ai Ogura won three races and the Moto2 championship in 2024. These wins were at Catalunya, Assen, and Misano too, so these are classic European venues.
He's not just a Suzuka/Motegi specialist, he might just be the real deal.
P.S:
So yeah, I've been reading up on 90s and 2000s two-stroke era Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing and I noticed how prominent and successful Japanese riders were, so I wanted to write about it. I wasn't sure where exactly I'd go with the blogpost from there, but I actually like how this one went, let me know what you think!
P.P.S:
Oh, and Offtopic Offseason...I liked writing that blogpost a lot and I think I'll do some more of those. I was thinking about alternating weekly between an Offtopic Offseason post and a regular motorsports post, but I think I'm just gonna leave it open to whichever I decide to do on a given Monday. This week I had something motorsport-y to talk about, next week I might, or I might not, we'll see.
I'm going to label and number all of the Offtopic Offseason posts, so you'll know exactly what it is once you see it post. I hope that's alright with all you guys.

"Oh I will my dear Orihime... I will make sure this will be the most unforgettable Weekend I ever had~" Daiki chuckles before sending yet another huge load of sperm inside her.
Open Mind Control RP (Male, Female, or Futa only)
Orihime Kurosaki had been invited to go with her friends to go to this resort for a little girl time. Orihime didn't mind as she was looking forward to spending time with her friends. While her husband went to go with their son to go visit their friends in the Soul Society. Unaware though the whole thing was a trick.
Your muse, obsessed with the MILF since high school had been looking to get her all alone. Looking to use a special mind control spell on her. To not only have some fun with her, fuck her hard, but also knock her up. Without her having any idea that she got violated.
And so when she returns home, she'll carry your muse's child.
"Oh um hello there. Are you the one in charge? I'm Orihime. I was told my friends would be here and are the ones who set up the reservation?"
((Impregnation RP, have fun knocking her up without her knowing about it))

Monster Replays The Truthful Route: Prologue
Warning: Spoilers for Digimon Survive under the cut. Read at your own risk.
In case you're not familiar with this blog, I've recently finished the Harmony route of Digimon Survive, meaning that I've played every route. I didn't want my final playthrough to over half the cast dead, so I've decided to replay the Truthful route, fully knowing what happens.
Thoughts:
The art for Gabumon and Renamon's first appearance honestly look very cool, especially Gabumon.
I find it funny how in the flashback, Haru and Miyuki are just referred to as 'Boy' and 'Girl'. With other characters, they either have a '???' or a word that describes them (e.g. 'Spirited Boy'), but with these two, their just 'Boy' and 'Girl', even after they refer to each other as their actual names. LMFAO
I love the animated short at the beginning. If I didn't know any better, I'd think it would be a trailer for an actual anime.
Saki: Wow, you're such a charmer. No wonder all the girls love you.
Ryo: Oh, shut up.
Lmao, I love these two.
Miyuki's singing is very, very pretty.
I'm genuinely curious if the school Takuma and co. camp at is based on a real place.
I imagine Shuuji's lines being dubbed over by SammyClassicSonicFan.
Something I didn't notice before is that Takuma mentions that Shuuji is an alumnus of Aoi's school.
Saki: Clearly you're not the type to be left to your own devices.
If you really think about it, this kinda feels like foreshadowing.
I'll never get tired of Ryo and Saki's dynamic.
Lesbian much, Aoi?
Aoi: All of us need to work together
Me: Okay, as long as you don't try to absorb the entire goddamn planet for the sake of Harmony™.
I love the way Miu's voice actress delivers her lines. It definitely feels like Miu's exaggerating and being super dramatic.
I love how Kaito's description of Miu is just completely inaccurate. At the same time, it also kinda hurts, especially after playing the Harmony route.
*it starts snowing* What is this, Digimon Adventure?
Can't believe there was a period in my life where I thought getting Harmony karma was a GOOD thing.
Minoru: The ones that worship the lewd stuff are the best!
Ah, so it appears that Minoru and I share a braincell *shot*
Honestly, it took me a while to notice that the Professor was wearing glasses in the prologue, but then lost them in the Kemonogami World.
I like how Shuuji's just randomly staring at a stone wall. Not even the mural, just a stone wall.
THE PROFESSOR SAID AGUMON! W00T!
Aoi: A pervert? On a MOUNTAIN?!
Of course, everybody knows that perverts can be found anywhere except in high altitudes!
Ryo's dialogue: Oh jeez, oh boy...
Ryo's voice: uwrraarAH!
The intro is very, very pretty. Plus, it definitely fits the vibe of the game well.
Takuma: *says bingo ONCE*
Me: Miyako Inoue? Is that you?
KOROMON WHY ARE YOU SO PRECIOUS
Takuma: My point is that I'm not a kid!
Koromon: Why not?! You seem to be pretty childish to me!
BUUURRRRRNNN
What's funny about NG+, especially early on in the game is that while most of the enemies are Rookie or Champion level, I can just evolve straight to Mega and oneshot everybody. It's especially funny if it's after the Kemonogami just evolved in the cutscene before the fight lol
I love how Takuma and Agumon share -2 braincells lmao
Takuma says that he and the others probably accidentally broke a seal on the shrine that released the Kemonogami. While that's obviously not what really happened, I still think that'd make for a good premise for a Digimon story, whether an anime or a video game.
This concludes my thoughts on the prologue, and onto Part 1 I go!

Ancajas, Sultan tiklop sa Japan
Bagwis Tabloid
February 26-March 3, 2024
Monday-Sunday
Hindi kinaya ng dalawang Filipino boxers ang mga kamao ng counterparts na Japanese sa Kokugikan Arena sa Tokyo nitong Sabado, Feb. 24, ng gabi.
Parehong taob via knockout sina Jerwin Ancajas at Jonas Sultan.

"Hmm... that's a good wife" Daiki compliments Orihime as she goes down on his cock. "Let's play a little Game shall we? If you manage to deepthroat my entire cock, you get a little reward."
Open RP Starter: A Housewife’s Hospitality
“Is that you, Ichigo?” Orihime perked up at the sound of the front door slamming shut, and she smiled as she stepped away from the stove. The Hollow warning had gone out minutes before dinner, so she’d been busy keeping it warm for him when he returned. “I hope the fight wasn’t too difficult—good thing I made your favorite tonight, right?”
As she rounded the corner into their living room, though, Orihime found herself shocked by the stranger that now stood by the door. “Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you were my husband! What are you doing in my home—are you a friend of Ichigo’s?” she asked innocently enough.
Utterly unaware of the intruder’s true intentions.

Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds Episode 1 Review: From The Creator Of K
Alright, we’re at the start of Summer anime. Here’s the first of the three I’ll be reviewing for this season. Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds has a slow start. It’s an introductory episode that tries to introduce the characters and what the plot is going to be about.
From what I’ve deduced from the first episode, it’s going to be a mix of supernatural and mystery. Our main characters will be fighting these Ara-Mitamas and then a bigger plot will happen. That’s definitely what’s going to happen. This is a GoRa anime. If you’re familiar with K, it's a little different from K as it has less characters and maybe a more concise plot?
The story is about Yukito Yanagi who graduates middle school and is moving back to Ayaka Island, an archipelago of seven islands and where he was originally from. He doesn’t remember much since he left the island at five years old. Yukito has unusual supernatural powers that manifest when his emotions are unstable. Because he had hurt someone in the past, he decided to maintain a distant demeanor just so he doesn’t get too emotional. Yukito seems like the typical gloomy MC, but I do like what I see from him right now. All I want to know is whether or not he’s adopted and what his true origins are; I think the plot will get there. From what I’ve seen, he’s going to train to be a Ley Master as it is the focus of the show.
Unfortunately, he meets a green-coded man named Jingi Sagawa who was tasked to take him back to Ayaka Islands. He’s a menace and I hate his guts. First off, this man waits for Yukito in front of his middle school piss-ass drunk and then he has the AUDACITY to push him off a bridge. Once Yukito’s powers activate because he got riled up, Jingi then shoves him in his magic bag and then once he comes to, he’s on a boat to an island. I’m surprised Yukito can maintain his composure because I’d be on the verge of murdering this man if he ever those stunts on me. When they’re on the island, Jingi continues to be annoying as he shows off his skills to kill the Ara-Mitama, turns out that it’s still alive, so he proceeds to THROW Yukito into the monster just to get him emotional in order to defeat the monster. He deserved that drop-kick. I don’t care if he was trying to help Yukito; he’s mean and annoying. It’s supposed to be considered funny, but it’s not. I hate Jingi already.
The only other characters prominently introduced are Momoko, the landlord of Yukito’s father’s property, and Inou, the mayor and Yukito’s legal guardian. Momoko’s so cute. I love her design. She also needs to beat the snot out of Jingi on-screen because he deserves it. I want to see more of her. Inou seems like a nice man too. I need to see more of the other character to give a full opinion. The Mitamas are cute.
The animation isn’t anything too special, but it’s pretty. This is a GoRa anime, after all. Look how pretty K was. The scene where the rural nature of the island was shown was very gorgeous. I think GoRa has improved with the animation quality. If GoRa does things right, maybe this can be as big of a hit as K was.
I think what draws me to this anime the most is the mystery. Why does Yukito need to return to the Ayaka Islands? What’s the secret of his birth? Why was he escaping the island with young Jingi at the time? What are these Mitama and Ara-Mitamas? The fact that I see so many questions makes me want to continue watching them to see how they will be answered.
The opening is sung by Angela, who sung the opening for K. Check out her song for K, Kings. It’s super good.
youtube
The voice acting is good. All I know about Yuto Uemura is that he voiced my favorite Luminaria character Lucien, but he does have a good grasp of sounding young. Takuma Terashima voices Jingi. I do like how well he changes from flippant to serious when the scene calls for it; that doesn’t make me hate Jingi any less. Momoko is voiced by Saori Hayami. I mean, it’s Hayamin; her voice is distinct. However, I do wonder what sort of role she’ll play. You can’t just hire Hayamin and not have to voice someone minor. Nobuo Tobita voices Mayor Inou and I’m surprised he was voicing him; I didn’t recognize his voice. Oh and Yukito's father is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda, who makes a return from K (he voiced Mikoshiba in K).
All in all, I’m curious to see where this anime will head off since this is a GoRa work. I do have some expectations as I enjoyed K. I’ll be tuning in every Saturday for this show!
