Going to do a Nevermoor series reread in June + July + August ? if anyone else also wants to do a reread around that time, could be fun to have more of the fandom prepping for Silverborn

Did initially make a roadmap plan to split the books up into weeks on top of already being months, so that people could focus on specific parts and discuss each week….. but between the fact that I messed it up the first time, Silverborn kept getting delayed as I planned it, and I’m actually really bad at keeping to stuff like that (looking at you, Silverborn Countdown Challenge…) I’m deciding to just go for it at whatever pace happens.

literally will never get over the gusto with which the Captain throws his whole body into multiple punches in S2E6,, like when i first saw it i was unsurprised that Mary and Robin and Pat were up for a fight and also that Cap would try to break it up, but we know that he's not actually that great at being a soldier - he wasn't allowed a gun, he still feels bad about that sea gull he shot etc - i would not have called it that he'd get his hands dirty! so happy to admit I was wrong because by GOD he'll bow to mass hysteria and deck Thomas if he has to, love that for him x

my ass is in bed today so I'm finally taking the time to finish Nightmare Fuel and i cannot believe that, scientifically, there are other "F responses" to threats that are not fight or flight. "freeze" is obvious, sure. but "flirt"? as in, the human brain literally goes "maybe if i fuck the thing that wants to kill me, it'll deescalate the situation"???? makes absolute fucking sense.

ideally you don't have to go past "friendly" but the human brain is ready to jump to extremes for the sake of survival and suddenly i understand so much.
