So you know why I love Good Omens?

Because it's HAPPY.

I am tired of watching shows and films that think that the only way to be compelling or "edgy" is to showcase abusive relationships and torture and kill their protagonists.

Good Omens is compelling because it shows genuine love, respect, and kindness when it would have been so easy to show literally anything else.

Crowley, a demon, doesn't lie to Aziraphale, doesn't hurt him or trick him, doesn't disrespect or power-trip him; he cares about him and treats him well. Aziraphale, an angel, never for a moment rejects Crowley for being a demon, he doesn't try to change him, tell him he is wrong or attempt to "save" him, but instead recognizes all of the good in him and treats him well.

The only unhealthy relationships are between heaven and hell, and they FREE THEMSELVES OF THESE ABUSES.

The whole thing is filled with healthy relationships of all kinds.

Adam and the Them? Even though Adam is seen as the leader of the group, he takes this as a responsibility to provide his friends with the best games and bring them joy, not as a means of controlling them.

Witches and witchfinders fall in love.

No one is tortured or tormented, the world does not end, and a fucking nightingale sings in Berkeley Square.

Good Omens was the first time I have watched a series that didn't leave me tense wondering when the hurt was going to start. I actually realized how emotionally abusive media has become, and that is so fucked up.

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good #these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the #hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to #comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but #of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.

You know what would be really cool? Time travel without any repercussions (if I’m using that word correctly…)

Basically, you could time travel to anywhere, any time, any place, make a huge mess, and our timeline would STILL be the same (but considering the current state of our world, this may not be the best idea. Just hear me out on this one, OK?).

Here’s how it works: you go back to… let’s say 2002. And you watch a younger version of yourself buy something from Hot Topic.

Or you could travel back to the time you and your best friend first met and watch it happen all over again.

I know I would watch my little self on their first day of kindy. Or watch myself become friends with everyone.

Bonus: you can interact with things and nothing changes. You’re basically a ghost. But nobody can see what you’re doing, like what you have is a ghost with you. For example, you can go to Blockbuster and pick up the tape for your favorite movie, and it stays the same.

(Think about the time SpongeBob became a ghost, broke his spatula, and then that spatula became a ghost, too. Ok bad example, but I think you get the idea.)

And maybe, if you wanted it to be, it could be a Back To The Future-type of thing. You could change the timeline without consequence (or were there consequences? I’ve never seen it. Though I did read a book about it once.)
