Mikhail Khodorkovsky's channel reported on the presumed death of Russian politician Alexei Navalny. The video includes the last known footage of Navalny in court via video link (presumably to hide evidence of his ill-health). Even while under unimaginable isolation and torture, Navalny still could joke and mock the despicable terrorist regime that placed him behind bars without justification. Navalny didn't have to come back to Russia. He chose to return and face mortal danger because he was a patriot who refused to accept Putin's terrorist threats and the destruction of Russia by the forces of corruption and tyranny. For this bravery, he has been murdered. The world must stand up and make Putin pay for this and all the other Russians murdered for opposing his regime.

In two weeks' time, we will remember how the Russian politician Boris Yefimovich Nemtsov was gunned down in front of the Kremlin, just hours after an interview.
To this day, the Russian terror state has refused to properly investigate the crime and identify the person who ordered it.
The reason isn't difficult to discern: Vladimir Putin is the only one who profited most from the murder of Nemtsov, who was writing an exposé on Russian mercenaries illegally entering eastern Ukraine to foment provocation at the very same time as Putin was publicly denying it.
Shortly after the murder, Nemtsov's computer was stolen from his apartment, and his girlfriend was unlawfully detained by Russia's security services because she was a witness to the murder.
The late American Senator John McCain recalled that he had expressed concern to Boris Nemtsov about his returning to Russia. McCain justifiably feared that Nemtsov's relentless challenge to Putin's regime would lead to his assassination. Nemtsov's grandmother had said in 2012 that she feared Putin would kill her grandson.
But Nemtsov insisted on returning to Russia regardless of the danger, saying he was doing this for his country.
Nemtsov wanted Russia to stop being a rogue terror state and become a democratic, law-abiding country. For this desire, he was murdered in cold blood.
Now, nine years later, Alexei Navalny has been murdered by the same force of evil. This is intolerable. It must end now. Russia's descent into unhinged criminality and delusions of total immunity to punishment must be stopped. No more Russians should face murder for opposing a terrorist state.
Vladimir Kara-Murza, a friend and ally of Boris Nemtsov, is still in prison for exposing Russian war crimes in Ukraine. Russian entrepreneur Yevgeny Chichvarkin told Ukrainian journalist Dmitri Gordon today that Kara-Murza, who has already been poisoned twice by the Kremlin, is next on the murder list.
I hope this chilling warning will not come true. But I also hoped that Alexei Navalny would survive Putin's torture. By murdering Navalny in prison, Putin has once again demonstrated his total lack of humanity. He can only be stopped by a show of force.
Refuse to give Putin anything that he wants. No welcoming of Russia back into the circle of nations, regardless of what happens in Ukraine. Extend the international arrest warrant on Putin to cover his systematic murder of Russian dissidents. Sanction and freeze the assets of all Russians who collaborated in the murder of Alexei Navalny. Open cases against Russia at the ICJ and the ICC for crimes against humanity. Add Putin to the list of international terrorists.
Above all, never, ever give up fighting for a free and civilised Russia.
February is a cursed month for Russia i swear

Spade!! Please tell us what is happening behind the scenes with Trump and Kamala. I would love to have some hope for the new year!! 🥂
I have been doing a LOT of research. There is too much to write in a Tumblr post. But, there has been so much happening all over the world in the past couple of months. Our election is not the only one Putin has interfered with. Several countries are now uniting very publicly behind Ukraine to bring him down.
Also, Kamala is a prosecutor. Biden is a very bright man. They knew Trump was going to try to rig the election years ago. In fact, Kamala wrote a book "The Truth's We Hold", and talked about election security. They were prepared well in advance. Do you really think these two patriots would hand us and our country over to organized crime and Putin, with a smile on their face? Let's be honest, Kamala and Joe Biden look much more relaxed right now than Trump.
Remember this post of mine on November 12th:
Biden and Harris are playing chess, while the criminals have been playing checkers. I was sick to my stomach for 48 hours after the election. But I quickly realized there was more to this than meets the eye. What Trump pulled off (winning every swing state and just enough votes to get the house and senate) would have been unbelievable for a normal candidate, let alone a 34 x convicted felon. This is the same clown that lost the popular vote in the previous two elections.
The first big tell for me was how quickly the race was called, and how quickly Kamala conceded. It made no sense. THEN, 36 hours after the election, law enforcement conducted a raid on Alfie Oakes' home and business (he is a huge Trumper and pals with criminal and fellow Trumper Mike Flynn). Both were involved in the January 6, 2020 storming of the capital. Flynn was at Oakes home on election night 2024. When Oakes home was raided 36 hours later, a notorious Russian crook was with him.
Federal agents from the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, the IRS, and the Secret Service were seen at the packing plant. The DCIS investigates cases of fraud, bribery, and corruption, including cyber crimes and computer intrusions.  At Oakes' Florida home, multiple law enforcement officers were seen coming and going in unmarked cars this morning and afternoon. They were going in and out of his home through the garage, carrying boxes, including a man wearing an IRS shirt carrying out a computer.
Almost a week later, Polymarket’s CEO, Shayne Coplan's home was raided in New York. He is backed by another Trumper, billionaire Peter Thiel. The company is an election prediction market.
Trump also told his supporters before the election that he did not need their votes. He said he already had the votes that he needed. Elon Musk said prior to the election that he would be going to prison if Trump did not win. He is as involved as anyone in all of this. Joe Rogan (conservative podcaster) also said that Elon Musk knew the election results 4 hours ahead of time.
Merrick Garland hired Jack Smith from The Hague to take down Trump. It looks like The Hague is where Trump and his minions will be tried. Elon Musk, and many others, will go down with Trump.
This looks like it could be a December to remember. Again, this is based on my observations and research of domestic and international happenings. But what I posted above regarding specific events are factual and available on the internet.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant based on allegations that they starved Palestinian civilians in Gaza during Israel’s war against Hamas.
The court on Thursday also issued an arrest warrant against Mohammed Deif, the Hamas military chief whose death has been reported but is not confirmed.
The Hague-based court’s pre-trial chamber decided to issue the warrants based on a recommendation in May by its chief prosecutor, Karim Khan. The court said in a statement that it “found reasonable grounds to believe that Mr Netanyahu and Mr Gallant bear criminal responsibility for the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare.”
The court added, “There are reasonable grounds to believe that the lack of food, water, electricity and fuel, and specific medical supplies, created conditions of life calculated to bring about the destruction of part of the civilian population in Gaza, which resulted in the death of civilians, including children due to malnutrition and dehydration.”
In a statement, Netanyahu’s office called the prosecutions “antisemitic” and likened them to the Dreyfus affair, the late-19th-century prosecution of a French Jewish officer that was revealed to be an antisemitic plot. The affair spurred the modern Zionist movement.
“There is no war more just” than the war Israel has conducted since Hamas launched the war on Oct. 7, 2023, when it massacred some 1,200 people in Israel, Netanyahu’s statement said. “The decision was made by a corrupt chief prosecutor trying to save his skin from serious sexual harassment allegations,” he statement said. Netanyahu was referring to an investigation of Khan on charges of sexual misconduct.
The Biden administration, which has provided Israel with military aid, has also criticized the warrants.
“Let me be clear: whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence — none — between Israel and Hamas,” President Joe Biden said in a statement in May, when Khan sought the warrants. “We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security.”
The warrants will require Netanyahu and Gallant to take care regarding where they travel. The United States, like Israel, is not a signatory to the 1998 treaty that founded the ICC, and even those countries signed to the treaty are notoriously lax in whom they choose to arrest based on the court’s warrants. Still, an arrest warrant has caused even the most powerful of leaders to limit their travel; Russian president Vladimir Putin has traveled only to friendly countries since being place under warrant in March 2023 due to Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Gallant will no longer be travelling internationally as defense minister: Netanyahu recently fired him over differences regarding how to conduct the war.
The last time President-elect Trump was in power, he sanctioned ICC officials over plans to charge Americans with war crimes. President Joe Biden has lifted those sanctions, but Republicans in Congress are calling on Trump to reintroduce them when he returns to office, in part because of the actions against Netanyahu and Gallant.
“You can expect a strong response to the antisemitic bias of the ICC & UN come January.” Trump’s incoming National Security Adviser, Mike Waltz, said in a tweet.
A separate statement from the ICC noted that Khan had sought the arrest of Deif and other Hamas leaders. Two other Hamas leaders have since been killed, and Deif is believed to be dead, but because his death has not yet been conclusively determined, the court issued the warrant, the statement said.

Bethan McKernan at The Guardian:
The chief prosecutor of the international criminal court has said he is seeking arrest warrants for senior Hamas and Israeli officials for war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his defence minister, Yoav Gallant. Karim Khan said his office had applied to the world court’s pre-trial chamber for arrest warrants for the military and political leaders on both sides for crimes committed during Hamas’s 7 October attack and the ensuing war in Gaza.
He named Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas chief in Gaza, and Mohammed Deif, the commander of its military wing, considered to be the masterminds of the 7 October assault, as well as Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the group’s political bureau, who is based in Qatar, as wanted for crimes of extermination, murder, hostage-taking, rape, sexual assault and torture. In an extraordinary rebuke of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians and its conduct in the war in Gaza, Netanyahu and Gallant are accused of extermination, causing starvation as a method of war, the denial of humanitarian relief supplies and deliberately targeting civilians. Monday’s statement notably does not include any Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officials, such as its chief of staff, Lt Gen Herzi Halevi, focusing instead on political decision-making. Khan, the British ICC prosecutor, must request the warrants for the Hamas and Israeli suspects from a pre-trial panel of three judges, who take on average two months to consider the evidence and determine if the proceedings can move forward. The ICC has previously issued warrants for Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, the Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and the former president of Sudan Omar al-Bashir, but no leader of a “western-style” democracy has ever been issued a warrant.
While there is no imminent likelihood of prosecution, since Israel is not a member of the court, ICC warrants could put Israeli officials at risk of arrest abroad, further deepening the country’s growing international isolation over its conduct in the war in Gaza. The move also presents fresh challenges for Israel’s western allies, who are already struggling to reconcile support for the Jewish state with growing evidence of war crimes in the seven-month-old conflict and respect for the post-second world war rules-based order. Netanyahu described the prosecutor’s accusations against him as a “disgrace”, saying: “I reject with disgust The Hague prosecutor’s comparison between democratic Israel and the mass murderers of Hamas. “With what audacity do you dare compare the monsters of Hamas to the soldiers of the IDF, the most moral army in the world?” Joe Biden, the US president, described the move as “outrageous” in a statement, adding: “Whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence – none – between Israel and Hamas. We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security.”
[...]
Condemnation of Khan’s decision from across the Israeli political spectrum was swift. The Israeli opposition leader, Yair Lapid, called the ICC’s actions a “disaster”. Benny Gantz, a former military chief and member of Israel’s war cabinet alongside Netanyahu and Gallant, criticised the ICC’s announcement, saying Israel fought with “one of the strictest” moral codes and had a “robust judiciary capable of investigating itself”. Khan suggested heavily in his statement that Israel’s judicial system “shields suspects”. Last year’s conviction rate for Palestinians tried in Israeli military courts was 96%, while fewer than 1% of complaints against Israeli soldiers ended in a conviction, according to the US Department of State’s annual human rights report.
Hamas, too, was critical of Khan’s announcement. The ICC prosecutor’s decision “equates the victim with the executioner”, the senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri told Reuters. Israel’s foreign minister, Israel Katz described the chief prosecutor’s decision as “a historic disgrace” that would be “remembered forever”. The US Republican party is all but certain to pursue sanctions against members of the ICC as a result of Khan’s announcement; a group of a dozen Republican senators wrote a letter earlier this month warning his office: “Target Israel and we will target you.” Sanctions were levied by the Trump administration over the court’s investigations into Israel and US actions in Afghanistan, but later reversed by Joe Biden. In 2021, Khan decided to drop the US from the ICC’s Afghanistan file.
ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan is seeking arrest warrants for senior Israel Apartheid State and Hamas officials, such as Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Gaza’s Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

Address by Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the Independence Day of Ukraine
Tumblr media
youtube
Dear people!
Ukrainians always pay back their debts. And whoever wished misery upon our land shall find it in their own home. With interest. Whoever seeks to sow evil on our land will reap its fruits on their own territory.
This is not a prophecy, not gloating, not blind revenge; it is a pattern. It is justice. A boomerang for evil. And its launch began not far from the place where I am recording this address. The Sumy region. Mohrytsya. The river of Psel. A few kilometers from our border.
The border between Ukraine and oppression, between life and death. The border between an independent European state and the number one terrorist organization in the world.
913 days ago, Russia unleashed war against us, including through the Sumy region. It violated not only our sovereign borders, but also the limits of cruelty and common sense. It was endlessly striving for one thing: to destroy us. Instead, today we celebrate the 33rd Independence Day of Ukraine. And whatever the enemy was bringing to our land has now returned to their home. And the one who wanted to turn our land into a buffer zone should think about preventing his country from becoming a buffer federation. This is how independence responds. It retaliates for our civilians, who are targeted by guided aerial bombs and Kinzhals, for our parents who have turned gray, for our children who are forced to study underground. For all our people who would prefer never to know the names of these cursed places in their lives: “Savasleika”, “Olenya”, “Engels”. But unfortunately, Ukrainians know them. That is why, our enemy will also know what the Ukrainian-way retaliation is. Worthy, symmetrical, long-ranged. They will know that sooner or later a Ukrainian response will reach any point in the Russian Federation that is a source of danger to the life of our state and our people.
The faded eyes of their chief perceive the whole world as a gray zone. But we will not allow to turn into a gray zone our lands, where the blue and yellow flag rightly belongs. A sick old man from the Red Square, who constantly threatens everyone with the red button, will not dictate any of his red lines to us. Only Ukraine and Ukrainians will determine how to live, what path to take, and what choice to make. Because this is how independence works.
Ukraine astonishes once again. Russia reverts once again to its repertoire. This is how the world media generally portray the events in the Kursk region. They show how Russia treats its citizens, whom it calls “the population.” How Russia “does not abandon” their own. How their soldiers loot their local shops. This is what Putin's Russia looks like in the eyes of the world. And in the same way, the entire world sees how our warriors provide water, food, and medicine to the local people, who say: “It's good that you are here now, not the Kadyrovites.” This is what Ukraine's dignity looks like. Civility. The virtue of our independence.
33 years ago, Ukraine was reborn on the maps of the world, and today Ukraine wins the hearts of the entire world. It inspires with courage. It serves as an example of how not to be afraid of Putin. And it unites the world around its Ukrainian worldview: in the 21st century, terrorists should find their reckoning in The Hague, not comfort in Valday. And no one else in the world will say: “Where is Ukraine?” Because every continent now says: “Ukraine must win”. This fuels our independence. Our Ukraine. It has no lack of foreign regions. We need peace and tranquility on our lands. Along our entire 6,992-kilometer border. On land, at sea, in the air, inside the country – wherever we stand guard for our values.
Just like our warriors do. In all directions of the frontline and the state border, which is symbolized by the border pillars. And our will and struggle are symbolized by our people – our defenders, our pillars. Those on whose shoulders Ukraine stands strong. It stands strong in Kharkiv, in Kupyansk, in Zaporizhzhia region, it stands strong in Kherson region. In Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar. On the Lyman, Siversk, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Vremivka, Huliaipilske, and Orikhiv directions. This is how independence fights. And I want to say to all our warriors today: I wish you a strong one! And thank you, guys! When the need to defend Ukraine arose, you shortly said: plus. Since then, for 913 days in a row, you have been applying a "minus" to the occupiers. Only you know how much effort, sweat, blood and your extremely hard work is really hidden behind the dry statistics of enemy losses. Only you know what it really means to hold a position. What it means to be “pinned down by enemy artillery and aircraft all day long”. What it means to stand firm when “the orcs are pushing.” You have preserved and are preserving our independence.
I thank everyone who helps our warriors and our state, all those who live and work to keep our independence working and living. Our medical workers, our rescuers, our firefighters, power engineers, our volunteers and entrepreneurs, police officers and farmers, railroad workers, teachers and students. All of them. Ukrainians here, Ukrainians abroad, who help, find, send the necessary supplies, tell the world about Ukraine. And everyone who stays with Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories. All Ukrainians whose strength has no borders, whose will is boundless. All those to whom I am immensely grateful. And today. And for each of the 913 days of this war. For the cause of each of you. For proving that independence is a cause for everyone. And it has many dimensions. Each of which must be gained to secure comprehensive independence. This is economic, this is energy independence. This is the spiritual independence of the Ukrainian people. And Ukrainian Orthodoxy today is taking a step toward liberation from the devils of Moscow. This is also the realization of justice for the awards of an independent Ukraine, which will never again be worn by those who betrayed it. This is the realization of justice for foreign heroes who defend Ukraine on the frontline and deserve Ukrainian honor – our citizenship. These are inevitable processes that have been launched by us today. This is how independence is strengthened.
And there should be a solid border between us and the enemy, and there will be no walls between Ukrainians. Because Ukraine is in each one of us. Independence is in each one of us. And united, we are able to win. It was proven by February 24. It was proven by 2022 and 2023. This year is proving it as well. We have withstood, restrained and repelled the enemy, and now we continue to do so in their swamps.
We know what independence is. How difficult it is to revive it. How difficult it is to defend it. But we know: everything depends on us.
We know what independence looks like. On the morning of February 24, it was in our eyes. Today, independence is in the trenches in all directions. It is in our cities and villages: in each episode when we find the best in ourselves, find Ukraine in ourselves, and fight for it. Independence today has tired eyes that have seen it all. Independence smiles when Ukrainians succeed. Independence is silence when we lose our people. Independence is the oath to never forget the fallen heroes. Independence tastes of smoke and dust on the battlefield and in civilian life. Independence descends into the shelter during an air raid alert to survive and to rise again to tell the enemy again: you will not succeed. You will fail. You will not prevail. And you will be held accountable for everything.
This is how we feel freedom. This is what Ukraine looks like. This is what independence looks like. And this is what it sounds like:
Happy Independence Day, Ukrainians!
Glory to Ukraine!

Inauguration of a Dictator and Remembrance of Aggression Victims
You're tuned into our special broadcast from the weekly rally at the Russian Embassy in Lisbon. Today is May 4, 2:30 PM.
This coming May 7 marks yet another inauguration of the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Under Putin’s regime, Russia has morphed into a de facto dictatorship, where fascist-style propaganda has cultivated a disturbing cult of personality. The regime's commitment to neo-imperialist ideologies has turned the concept of the “Russian World” into a tool for inciting wars. It’s declared a war on its own people, forcibly Russifying indigenous groups within Russia. Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church has escalated this rhetoric, branding the conflict against Ukraine and what he calls the “satanic” West a “holy war of all Russians,” with countries like Belarus, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela echoing this aggressive stance. These alarming developments were highlighted in PACE resolution No. 2540, adopted on April 17, 2024. https://pace.coe.int/en/files/33511/html
On the day of Putin's inauguration, activists from the global community Free Russians Global will hold a rally at The Hague, near the building of the International Court of Justice. Named PutInJail: Prison, not Kremlin, this event calls for justice, not pageantry. The rally is scheduled for 12:00 and you can learn more about this event at this link. https://www.facebook.com/events/1437417300212871/
Even if you cannot join in person, you can still support this cause from afar. Take a photo with relevant posters, share it on social media with the hashtag #PutInJail, and send it directly to the organizers via their dedicated Telegram bot at this link. https://t.me/send_protest_photo_bot
Just this May 2, the channel “To be honest” released a video where concerned Russian citizens from various cities gathered at the President's reception office. They submitted what they claim are thousands of signatures calling for the president's impeachment. A Google form linked in their video allows more signatures to be gathered, accessible here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l06JihgB0hU
Looking ahead to May 12, at noon in Madrid, the Association of Free Russians of Spain together with the Anti-War Committee will hold an international march in memory of the victims of military aggression and political repression. This event coincides with the anniversary of the end of World War II, a victory whose credit the Putin regime has controversially claimed. The march also protests against the ideology of victory fanaticism and fascist symbols, highlighting how citizens from numerous countries become hostages to authoritarian regimes, with freedom fighters often falling victim to these oppressive rulers. Details of the march can be found here. https://www.facebook.com/events/s/marcha-internacional-por-las-v/964566638650917/
On May 8 and 9, the Russian association Demokrati-JA will gather in Berlin's Treptower Park to emphasize the fragility of the free and safe world Europeans currently enjoy, untouched by bombs and shelling. They warn that if Russian aggression in Ukraine is not halted today, war could be at our doorstep tomorrow. They stand firm against those who, in the coming days, will flock to war memorials, glorifying past battles without respect for the fallen. More information on this gathering can be found here. https://www.facebook.com/events/310860055369130/

If you shoot down a packed Malaysian airliner over Ukraine, you get praised. If you insult Putin, you're sent to prison. That's life in a hegemonic dictatorship which is Russia these days.
The last time I saw Igor Girkin was five years ago in the stairwell of a Moscow news agency. "Would you consider giving me an interview?" I asked. "No," he replied sharply and scurried away. I saw him again today. No stairwell. This time, Girkin was in a caged dock surrounded by police in the Moscow City Court. Along with other media we were allowed in to film him for just one minute before the end of his trial. A police dog kept barking. Girkin found that amusing. The verdict less so. Minutes later he was found guilty on extremism charges and sentenced to four years in a penal colony. This wasn't his first conviction. In The Hague in 2022, in absentia, Girkin was found guilty of the murder of 298 people: the passengers and crew of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17. The Boeing jet had been shot down over eastern Ukraine in 2014 by Russian-controlled forces in the early stages of Russia's war there. Girkin was one of three men sentenced to life imprisonment. A judgement he ignored. [ ... ] Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, ultranationalist Girkin became a prominent pro-war blogger. He became increasingly critical of the way the Russian authorities were waging the war: not hard enough, in his view. He founded a hard line nationalist movement called The Club of Angry Patriots. His problems began when he started to take that anger out on President Vladimir Putin. Public criticisms of the Russian president turned to insults. In a post last year, Girkin described Putin as "a non-entity" and "a cowardly waste of space". A few days later he was arrested. Now he's been tried and convicted.
Four years is a rather light sentence for dissent in Putin's Russia. Journalists Vladimir Kara-Murza was recently sentenced to 25 years and Ruslan Ushakov is serving 8 years – just to name two.

Both the ICJ and the ICC are fully aware of the dangers of taking on Israel – which is why, despite the dissembling complaints from the US and Israel, each court is treading so slowly and cautiously in dealing with Israeli atrocities.
Pick at the Israeli thread of war crimes in Gaza, and the entire cloth of atrocities around the world committed and promoted by the US and its closest allies starts to unravel.
The unspoken truth is that the "Shock and Awe" bombing campaign and years of brutal occupation of Iraq by US and British troops, and the even lengthier and equally bloody occupation of Afghanistan, eviscerated the legal constraints that would have made it harder for Putin to invade Ukraine and for Israel to put into practice the erasure of the Palestinian people it has dreamed of for so long.
It is Washington that tore up the rulebook of international law and elevated above it a self-serving “rules-based order” in which the only meaningful rule is might makes right.
Faced with that stark axiom, Moscow had good reason both to take advantage of Washington’s acts of vandalism against international law to advance its own strategic regional aims and to suspect that the relentless military expansion of a US-led Nato towards its borders did not have Russia’s best interests at heart.
Now, as Netanyahu and Gallant risk being put in the dock at The Hague, Washington is finally finding its resolve to act. Not to stop genocide. But to offer Israel protection to carry on.
For that reason, Khan did everything he could last week to insulate himself from criticism as he announced that he wants Netanyahu and Gallant arrested.
First, he made sure to weigh the accusations more heavily against Hamas than Israel. He is seeking three Hamas leaders against two Israelis.
In his indictment, he implicated both the Hamas political and military wings in war crimes and crimes against humanity over their one-day attack on Israel on 7 October and their hostage-taking.
By contrast, Khan completely ignored the Israeli military’s role over the past eight months, even though it has been carrying out Netanyahu and Gallant’s wishes to the letter.
Notably too, Khan charged the head of Hamas’ political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, who is based in Qatar, not Gaza. All the evidence, however, is that he had no foreknowledge of the attack on 7 October and certainly no operational involvement.
Further presenting Hamas in a worse light, Khan levelled more indictments against its leaders than Israel’s.
That included a charge rooted in a prominent western establishment narrative: that Israeli hostages held in Gaza have faced systematic sexual assault and torture. There appears to be little persuasive evidence for this allegation at this stage, unless Khan has access to facts no one else appears to know about.
By contrast, there is plenty of objective evidence of Palestinians being kidnapped off the streets of Gaza and the occupied West Bank and subjected to sexual assault and torture in Israeli prisons.
That, however, was not on the charge sheet against Netanyahu or Gallant.
Khan also ignored plenty of other Israeli war crimes that would be easy to prove, such as the destruction of hospitals and United Nations facilities, the targeted killing of large numbers of aid workers and journalists, and the fact that 70 percent of Gaza’s housing stock has been made uninhabitable by Israel’s US-supplied bombs.

International Criminal Court judges should “watch the skies,” according to a top Kremlin official who threatened a violent response to the arrest warrant issued against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I’m afraid, gentlemen, everyone is answerable to God and missiles,” Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, who held the title of Russian presidency under Putin from 2008 to 2012, said on Monday. “It’s quite possible to imagine how a hypersonic Oniks fired from a Russian warship in the North Sea strikes the court building in The Hague. It can’t be shot down, I’m afraid.”
XI ARRIVES IN MOSCOW FOR MEETING WITH PUTIN
ICC officials issued an arrest warrant for Putin and another Russian official last week, one day after United Nations investigators accused Moscow of perpetrating “a war crime” against Ukrainian children deported into Russia. Kremlin officials dismissed the warrant as “null and void,” but Medvedev added his own provocative touch.
“And the court is just a pathetic international organization, not the people of a NATO country,” Medvedev said, per state media. “So, they won’t start a war. They’ll be scared. And no one will be sorry.”
The former Russian president issued that retort on the same day that Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow. Xi and Putin will discuss how the two countries “can jointly promote strategic coordination and practical cooperation” and “practice true multilateralism” together, in the words of a Chinese diplomat who opened his press briefing with a rebuke of the ICC.
“The ICC needs to take an objective and just position, respect the jurisdictional immunity of a head of state under international law, prudently exercise its mandate in accordance with the law, interpret and apply international law in good faith, and not engage in politicization or using double standards,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said.
Xi embarked on his visit to Moscow just weeks after unveiling a “peace proposal” that calls for a ceasefire and the lifting of Western sanctions on Russia but does not urge Putin to withdraw his forces from Ukraine. Xi has prioritized ties with Putin as both leaders seek to challenge the U.S.-led alliance network in the vicinity of their historic empires. The Chinese leader’s trip to Moscow bookends a visit from Putin to Beijing last year, when they issued a statement calling for a "transformation of the global governance architecture and world order” — just weeks before Putin launched his attempt to overthrow the Ukrainian government.
"Ukraine is closely following the visit of the President of the People's Republic of China to Russia,” Ukrainian foreign ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko said Monday. “We expect that Beijing will use its influence on Moscow to force it to stop its aggressive war against Ukraine.”
Neither China, Russia, nor the United States has signed the treaty that established the ICC, but Ukraine’s parliament issued a call Monday for the treaty signatories “to take all possible measures” to haul Putin before the court.
“The crimes are carried out on the direct orders of the senior political and military leadership of the Russian Federation and constitute a gross violation of the current norms of international law, which requires a decisive and effective response from the international community by bringing the Russian leadership to international criminal liability,” the parliamentary resolution said.
Medvedev condemned the ICC for daring to issue a warrant against “the president ... of a nuclear power that isn’t party to the ICC for the same reasons as the U.S. and some other countries,” and argued that the warrant will lead to a “collapse” of international law.
“The consequences for international law will be disastrous,” he insisted. “No one now will be turning to international institutions. Everyone will be making agreements between themselves. All the foolish decisions of the U.N. and other organizations will be bursting at the seams. A dark decline of the entire system of international relations is coming.”

History repeats and rhymes but you don't expect it to do it in real time. An arrest warrant by the Hague for Putin for the act of genocide* that is taking children and raising them against their culture.
The USA who not only refuses jurisdiction by the Hague's ICC but will consider any warrant as an act of war, has the right to steal indigenous children being debated by an unelected unchangeable Supreme Court with a horrific record.
There are americans celebrating one and with no understanding of the other.
*genocide is defined not just by killing people but killing culture and forcing assimilation (look it up). When queer or indigenous folks talk of genocide they mean both that right wingers want them dead (or going through life faking) but also all knowledge kept from future generations so there is no community or common language.

[ad_1] On Thursday, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) in response to arrest warrants issued by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, Al Jazeera reported. The bill, titled the “Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act,” passed with a vote of 243 to 140, signalling strong support for Israel. According to Al Jazeera, 45 Democrats joined 198 Republicans in backing the bill, with no Republican opposition. The Senate will now consider the bill, which is under Republican control. “America is passing this law because a kangaroo court is seeking to arrest the prime minister of our great ally, Israel,” said Representative Brian Mast, the Republican chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, as quoted by Al Jazeera. The proposed sanctions target any individual or entity that aids the ICC in its efforts to investigate, arrest, or prosecute US citizens or citizens of allied nations that do not recognise the court’s authority, Al Jazeera reported. Sanctions would include freezing assets and denying visas to those contributing to the ICC’s actions. The ICC’s arrest warrants were issued in May 2023, accusing Netanyahu and Gallant of war crimes related to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which has led to significant casualties. In response, the US legislators have called for action against the ICC, with the legislation now moving toward Senate approval. The move has been criticised by human rights organisations, who argue that the bill undermines an independent judicial institution and could harm global efforts for justice. Despite this, the Senate is expected to act quickly, allowing President-elect Donald Trump to sign the bill into law once he takes office. In 2020, during his first term as president, Trump imposed sanctions on senior ICC officials due to the court’s investigations into US actions in Afghanistan and Israeli activities in Palestinian territories. President Biden later removed these sanctions. The ICC, located in The Hague, Netherlands, is a permanent tribunal with the authority to prosecute individuals for war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and crimes of aggression. Palestine has been a member of the ICC since 2015, and the court began investigating crimes committed by both Israeli and Hamas officials in 2019. Although Israel is not a member of the ICC, the court has jurisdiction over crimes committed in the territory of any member state, regardless of the nationality of the perpetrator. The US had occasionally supported the ICC, such as when the court’s prosecutor sought an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin over alleged war crimes in Ukraine. Like Israel and the US, Russia is also not a member of the ICC. [ad_2] Source link

Moscow CNN  — Two years ago, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I was among the many long-time observers of the Kremlin who got it wrong.
Few could fathom why Vladimir Putin, Russia’s calculating leader, would embark on such a risky military adventure, especially when the mere threat of a Russian invasion was already yielding results.
In June the previous year, as Russian forces massed near Ukraine, US President Joe Biden met Putin at a superpower-style summit, describing the US and Russia as “two great powers” elevating the Russian leader after previous US administrations had sought to downplay Russia’s influence.
In the days before the 2022 invasion, Washington offered a “pragmatic evaluation” of Moscow’s security concerns, signalling openness to compromise.
Pitching Russian forces against one of the region’s biggest standing armies seemed uncharacteristically reckless and, therefore, unlikely.
There were others, though, who rightly saw the invasion as inevitable, better reading the Kremlin’s intentions, and confidently predicting a swift Russian victory at the hands of Moscow’s vastly superior forces.
Two years on, I like to think that those of us who doubted the Kremlin’s resolve were wrong for the right reasons.
What Moscow still euphemistically calls a Special Military Operation has been a bloodbath of catastrophic proportions, unseen in Europe for generations. Even conservative estimates put the number of dead and injured at hundreds of thousands of people on each side. Small gains, such as the recent capture of Avdiivka, have come at enormous cost.
Russia’s once revered military has shown itself painfully unprepared and vulnerable to modern weapons in the hands of a determined Ukrainian resistance. Even if the war ends tomorrow, it is likely to take many years for its strength and numbers to recover.
And the past two years of brutal war have twisted and distorted Russia internally too.
Hundreds of thousands of its citizens have fled abroad to avoid conscription. Frustrations with the way the war was being fought provoked an armed uprising in which gun-toting Wagner mercenaries marched on Moscow, posing an unprecedented challenge to the Kremlin’s authority.
International disdain has made Russia the most heavily sanctioned country in the world. Even President Putin has been indicted for war crimes at the Hague.
And now Putin’s most vocal critic – Alexey Navalny – is dead. Amid a broader crackdown on dissent, this country has plunged further into isolation and darkness.
Take a longer view, and the direction of travel seems tragically clear.
I was in Chechnya when, in 2000, a newly installed President Putin brought that rebellious Russian region to heel, unleashing a relentless Russian military. We will bomb them in the outhouse, he remarked, in a crude but popular refrain.
In 2006, a leading Russia journalist, Anna Politikovskaya, was murdered, on Putin’s birthday. Her brave dispatches from Chechnya struck a chord. Other critics were silenced at home and abroad.
By 2008, Putin was intervening in neighbouring Georgia, carving out pro-Russian regions from the Georgian state. Before the territory of Crimea was annexed from Ukraine in 2014, Russian forces had for years successfully propped up the Syrian regime in that country’s own brutal crackdown on rebellion, despite international condemnation.
But February 24, 2022, was a watershed.
It’s not just that Putin miscalculated in his ambition to conquer Ukraine, although what was meant as a limited campaign is very much now an open-ended war.
Rather, his full-scale invasion of Ukraine was the moment Putin finally abandoned all semblance of cooperation with the West, and all pretence that dissent and criticism inside this great nation would be tolerated.
And there is currently little sign of any change in course.
In fact, two years into his Special Military Operation, Putin is tightening his grip on power with opponents silenced and elections in March set to confirm his fifth presidential term.
Privately, many Russians remain quietly hopeful that there will, one day, be a change in course. But few believe it is unlikely to be now or even soon.

"Mercy!" Surah 30, Ar Rum, "Stripped!"
Tumblr media
What does Allah say about the reprieve? Can those men fighting in Syria many of whom have questionable backgrounds hammer it all out and enter into a new way of life, free of blemish? The Quran says yes. Every opportunity for the Words of Mo to rinse the heart of sin must be offered, especially when justice for children is at stake.
But Mo said this is not allowed:
Quran 17:31 - "Do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We will provide for them and to you, too. Killing them is a great sin indeed."
The Surah adds this then to the Hadith:
30: 47-51:
"Indeed, We sent before you ˹O Prophet˺ messengers, each to their own people, and they came to them with clear proofs. Then We inflicted punishment upon those who persisted in wickedness. For it is Our duty to help the believers.
It is Allah Who sends the winds, which then stir up ˹vapour, forming˺ clouds, which He then spreads out in the sky or piles up into masses as He wills, from which you see rain come forth. Then as soon as He causes it to fall on whoever He wills of His servants, they rejoice,
although they had utterly lost hope just before it was sent down to them.
See then the impact of Allah’s mercy: how He gives life to the earth after its death! Surely That ˹same God˺ can raise the dead. For He is Most Capable of everything.
Then if We send a ˹harsh˺ wind which they see withering ˹their˺ crops, they will definitely deny ˹old favours˺ right after."
Commentary:
Kill Assad the filth and every man and woman in his army and presidency, and drive the Russians to desperation, take back your neighborhoods, pray to God for a clear path and amnesty will come to the fighters.
This the Law of the Quran and it must be respected. This is the essence of the Hadith which is the Essence of the Sunnah, a critical path to liberation for all mankind from the elements, from disease, starvation, poverty, oppression, ignorance, to abolish all of these Allah sent His most Strident of all the Angels to the Prophet. America, Russia, Israel, Syria, all of Africa, and the sacred and troubled places that have no future because of a tyrant must be free.
Donald Trump, Dick Cheney, George W Bush, Karl Rove, Mitt Romney, Vladimir Putin, Charles Mary, Bashar Assad, and the Assholla, you have a date with death for your crimes against the children of this planet, against Israel and the Mosque. These persons must be sent to the Hague for trial at once. If they will not go, then they do not get to live.
When the going gets tough, the tough pray to Allah. Real men, however, they pray to Barbara.
