Taiwan / Chinese Taipei is playing their play-off game for the 2023 World Cup qualification against Paraguay right now, so I thought I'd share this write-up:

A point of note:

Chinese Taipei [was] one of the unheralded giants of Asian women's football from the late 1970s to the late 1990s.

And especially:

Chinese Taipei didn't just compete in major women's football tournaments, though. In fact, the team is arguably the reason the Women's World Cup exists at all.

In 1978, the Chinese Taipei federation organised the first Women's World Invitational Tournament, known as the Chunghua Cup. It took place every three years and brought together many of the women's game's earliest pioneers — including teams from Australia, New Zealand, West Germany, France, Norway, and the USA — until folding in 1987.

And this conclusion, a quote from midfielder Michelle Pao:

"The past is more like a goal. If they could do it in the past, we can do it now. Or maybe even better."

Hi, I’m just wondering if you have Taiwan vs Philippines full match AFC cup 2022?

Not yet 😭

My download of the live stream cut off and now there’s no quick way to download it—I basically need to screen record it now through the US stream that I have to VPN to. I was thinking I��d wait until the AFC YouTube channel makes it available but it seems like they haven’t done that yet. 😕

Have you got access to Eleven Sports? They have the full match replays there. There’s info here about how you can have access.

If you don’t have access to that, I’m recording it right now but it’ll be 4-5 hours until it’s done and uploaded on the Drive. Also, it won’t be super high quality. (I’ll update here when it’s up.)

Update: I've uploaded it here (check Knockouts -> Quarterfinals). Quality's pretty decent, I think, but let me know how it is for you. And I'd still recommend checking out the Eleven Sports stream if you have access to that.
