I'm impressed how they keep characters feeling consistent across the MVs in Enstars. There's this moment in Angelic Grace where Wataru does this:
and I thought: ah, so Wataru. He's been doing that sort of move/pose in many recent MVs. And Starlight Parade, Dreaming Ocean and Eccentric Party Night (regular ver.) even have the overhead shot. They decided this is The Wataru Angle.
It's easier to see in move how these feel similar, especially Starlight Parade and Angelic Grace, so take a look at the MVs. Wataru is always a little extra (of course he is!). He actually does similar thing in Twilight Pentagram too but that's a bit hard to screenshot (~0:37 when they do a bit unsynchronized dancing).
Another thing to watch out for: Wataru often takes bigger steps or poses feet further apart than the other fine members. Btw, I don't mean just the super obvious moments, if you watch the non-event fine MVs, it's there too more subtly.
...his theatricality in one shot:
And finally, a little bonus: the most extra, most Wataru thing in Ghostic Treat House b-roll. This is one of my favourite things ever, look how he's keeping the pose while running across the stage! It's not exactly the same as above examples but there's some similar vibe to it.
[x]
#what do you mean i watch fine's MVs too much#there can't be such thing as too much of fine MVs#btw the b-roll is from enstars vid where the ensemble taisou mascots talked about Basic#and then it had this b-roll corner w a few mvs as bonus#wataru hibiki#ensemble stars

Anime No One Talks About That Live Rent Free In My Brain
There are some anime shows that I've watched, but when I go online I barely see anyone talk about them. Anime that have less than 100k views on My Anime List (I know MAL isn't the only metric out there, but it's a big one).
And yeah, these shows are probably mid to most people. But for one reason or another, I ended up really enjoying them.
So I want to share!
Dr. Ramune -Mysterious Disease Specialist- (Kai Byoui Ramune)
Dr. Ramune looks like an anime aimed at kids. It's not. The second episode is titled "The Chikuwa Penis", where a man's penis gets replaced by chikuwa - a spongy food commonly found in Japanese dishes like oden.
Dr. Ramune gets werid. And it also gets kind of dark. There's an abusive cult storyline, an arc dealing with grief gone bad, and generally some really horrible things that happen to the patients that Dr. Ramune and his assistant help out.
I think this anime would have received more attention if the character designs were more adult? Or maybe the first episode being kind of wacky with a kid that cries condiments was a no-go? But I implore you to give this show a watch.
Muteking the Dancing Hero
I am a sucker for transformation super hero/tokusatsu-esque anime. And the Muteking song that plays (nearly) every episode when he transforms and fights the bad guys is a consistent ear-worm even years later.
This is another anime that looks like it's aimed for kids. And it is definitely more kid-friendly than Dr. Ramune. But this show also has some weird and darker moments, especially towards the end of the show.
I say at least watch it for the music. Maybe you'll enjoy it as much as I did. If nothing else, maybe someone else will know what the heck I'm singing every now and again.
The Gymnastics Samurai (Taisou Zamurai)
This anime has the looks and character designs that should have attracted an audience, but the pacing/plot lacked a lot of focus. It's half sports anime, with training, rivalry, and performances (with somewhat decent CGI involved), but the other half is slice of life/drama anime with the realities of being a single parent and missing out on things mixed along with goofy every day activities with a foreigner otaku who suddenly lives with the family.
And there's a weird pet bird too.
The first half walks, the second half sprints to an ending. There are some characters that could have used a lot more fleshing out. But it was fun. Plus the OP gets a thumbs up from me.

I've decided that Giant Robo OVA has three sets of onscreen marrieds. Two husband pairs and a token straight couple.
#Giant Robo#Giant Robo OVA#Giant Robo the Animation#anime shitpost#ships and dips#for the record the three couples are#1: Taisou and Youshi (canon)#2: Professor Go and Chief Chuujou (not canon but should be)#and 3: Koushin and Kaei (it's in the vibes)#Red Mask and Fitzgerald are definitely exes I accept this headcanon but that isn't marrieds#I know Von Folger had a wife but she's dead so I'm not counting that either#GinRei and Kenji don't count either they canonly mention not having a chance to do a romo even though Kenji definitely thought abt it#anyway representation wins! /joking#(there's a fair amount of representation in this anime considering it's an anime but it's not queer rep specifically)#anyway I watched the finale for my birthday bc I gotta do everything my damn self around here#even to Momo I'm p sure this in incomprehensible#ssh spoilers#(i gUESS lmao)#catch me nightblogging in the GR tag lmao

See what I mean?
Thinking about how I'd say as a joke that Ryuusaku and Taisou would get along great if they met (same seiyuu, personality and charisma) and then when I read Tetsujin Dakkan Sakusen they straight up have some Water Margin characters working as lackeys for his gang - including Dai Zong/Taisou.

Ahahahaahahh- help.
i dance ensemble taisou multiple times daily. i have the choreo memorised. i do not even need to listen to the song to dance to it, it plays automatically in my head whenever i think of it. I have set up a counter in my discord status, and i reset it every week. it’s wednesday and it’s at 11, which means at least 5 times per day.
That is 15 minutes of my day at the bare minimum on this stupid monkey dance. why do i love this so much??
Please save me, this is the thing that got me into the enstars fandom /srs
Also this used to be ironic but it’s unironic now i swear to fricking-
