It was not long ago since Valedale been updated and it shows. Many OCs have moved there.

I have not included OCs from the old map as I didnt have access to the old file and I dont want to jump between multiple posts to get names and photos because that was just too confusing. I have done a google doc list with the Ocs so next update will be easier. But even if I didnt include OCs from the old post, we went from 73 to 95 Ocs, the population is growing.

I will not update this untill a new area been updated or added. But if anyone sees spell mistakes or wrong infomation given for ocs I can edit that. But I will not fix the map pic.

Trailblazer Track Optimizations based on YOUR Home Stable

SO now that we understand how the Trailblazer Track points work, I've been having fun coming up with some potential optimizations based off of my favorite types of activities for each of the Home Stables.

As a recap, 1350pts/day is the bare minimum-maximum points to shoot for. This includes:

Daily Point Redemption: 450pts Tasks 1-4: 100pts each (400pts total) Tasks 5-8: 75pts each (300pts total) Tasks 9-12: 50pts each (200pts total)

NOTE: You can keep earning points after task 12 at 20pts/task, indefinitely until the end of the day, but for the sake of the bare min-max, you can stop after your 12th task.

A lot of the Valedale tasks are RNG, and others may not be available depending on where you are in the story and honestly, your preferences. It's simultaneously one of the easiest and hardest places to get points because there's so many options. Anyway, chose 5 of the following: 3 - Farrah's deliveries (bonus, good for shillings) 5 - Soul Rider Trainings/Missions (GREAT if you don't have Runerunner, probably what I would choose myself) 1 - Alex's Training (TBD if the other Soul Riders will get trainings, maybe this Wednesday's update, stay tuned) 2 - Firefly Races (Ada and Makenna) 1 - Orienteering Race 1 - Hollow Woods Race 6 - Find and pet the Magic Horses (if you've completed the magic horse quests from the Druid Paths, this may be the quickest + 1200hxp) 1-5 - Opening satchels (you can get up to 5, but I personally only unlock the 250) ? - Runecarving

BONUS - plants and light reward 2pts each, good passive for the other tasks

So, about that “lichen”...

After probably ten years now of playing this game, I’ve never once reflected over the quests in Dino Valley where Professor Einstein asks MC to collect some lichen for the race flag poles. However, after taking a break from the game for about a month (maybe two, maybe three, I haven’t kept track of when I’ve been playing the game, only the updates that I’ve missed (*cough* rainbow horses *cough*)), I wanted to find out more exactly what this mysterious substance known as “lichen” is.

What I found on my brief trip through Google, though, wasn’t what I expected, and a small part of me is mildly grossed out from the thought.

Sorry, Google, what was that again? Could you please explain this to me as if I’m five years old? /ref

So basically, what Einstein is asking us poor players to drag down from the freezing trees in the middle of buttass nowhere Dinosaur Valley, is literal fungus. My hands feel nasty. I will have to remind myself to take a thorough shower and make sure that Wizard gets a good, thorough clean once we’re back home in Tailtop Village.

Thank the lord for the existence of Soap. Aaaahhh

I hope you’ll be just as delighted as I now am upon the knowledge that MC have torn fungus down from freezing trees with their bare hands :)

speaking of weird areas in sso i feel the need to rant about north wildwoods/tailtop

the idea was so cool and i was so hyped when we got redwood point but then it was just??? nothing?? there's so many cool NPCS and unique gear (that i am still so sad is JWH exclusive and that they never really made more of. i wanted to have big flower baskets and mane flowers so so bad) and they dropped so fast?? and the warrior area is so empty!! like you want to convince me that this is a huge group of horses that can??? fight?? but then it's so empty. there's like two NPCS on either side of a huge open plateau and one moose. it feels like a game in alpha tests

i havent even gone back to find the stars there because it feels lowkey depressing. i don't know if that's just me though. but i wish sse would have done more with the area because it was so intriguing!!

To comment on what an Anon said about grinding, like the daily quests are great and all, but i would love if they had more dailies where you unlock them after you reach a certain rep level with a group. Like in Tailtop village, would love more dailies there. Or even if thy allowed you to unlock a secret questline if you reached admired with a certain factions. Such as if you reach admired with the Warriors, Mystics, and Foresters, it gave you a secret questline where you unite all three herds or something. Just a little more variety for those who don’t like to grind to get clothes or horse tack, but rather like to grind to unlock content.

Regarding the SC, maybe increasing the allowance really isn’t the issue, it’s the fact that theres no other way to get them besides purchasing them or the allowance. Like i would watch adverts or buy merch from them if it gave me SC’s. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think having ads in game still gives them money. That way both parties are happy mostly.

SSE could even set up a shop, where if you buy like 50 dollars worth of merch, you get 50 star coins deposited into your game. But it could be like only with purchase 50 dollars and over, and then 60 dollars = 60 SC - 100 dollars spent at the store = 100 SC. And maybe additionally there could be a thing to where if you finish all the achievements in game, you get 400 star coins for free.

If I had a penny for every time someone described wanting a feature in sso that already exists, I’d have two pennies. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice. Getting quests for completing rep already is a thing. You do unlock more dailies by wrapping up reputation. You’ve just played for so long you’ve done it already.

What you’re describing would still end. You’d finish the special secret quest and that would be All. Back to “no content”. And you’re continuing to ignore the fact that SSE are constantly adding more long term quests for old players, instead going “But there is no content!” because the game isn’t perfectly tailored to your preferences. They’re adding new stuff for older players this month! That will give us something to grind! You’re going to get content!

The SC thing is just bad. I’ve played several games where watching ads and doing things for premium allowance was a thing, and other than purchasing it that was usually the only way to get free premium currency. Unlike SSO that gives a big sum of theirs away For FREE, other companies will have you preform “actions” to gain premium currency. This can be watching ads, but more often than not it’ll be something actively harmful like “go to this gambling site and gamble for the free $20 dollars we’ll provide you with, and you can get the equivalent of 25 SC!” And that’s not. Good. Also illegal in Sweden. You’re not allowed to bake ads into gameplay in any way and you are not allowed to show children ads. They’re very serious about it over here. Children’s shows aren’t allowed to break for any kind of ad, and ads aren’t allowed to target them.

Giving SC for ingame things has never been a thing and it will probably never be a thing. Like I said, SSE are an incredibly ethical company when it comes to premium currency. Not only do they offer lifetime subscriptions, something any other company would never touch with a five pole, they also give their premium currency away for free, which few companies would willingly do. They are actively losing money every single week! It’s a wonder they’re still up and running, and instead of yelling at them for not doing enough, they should be heralded as an example to other game studios to prove that it is possible to survive with lifetime subscriptions and giving away in-game currency.

The merch thing they’ve done before. They used to sell magazines with SC codes, which was cool. Unfortunately I don’t think their focus is on merch, so it’s kind of a moot point. Cant give SC away with merch if there is no merch.
