some cdrw moments were a bit over the top for me though (i mean, unless it was supposed to be satirical/sarcastic?? THERE WERE PETALS FLYING AROUND THEM)

and also so many people on my dash just straight-up love it and moreover the “hot” thing THIS IS JUST LIKE THE HOLOFORMS ALL OVER AGAIN why don’t i just enjoy things like everyone else ._____________.

The one they have in S1 were one of my fave stories ever. I guess I just love oneshots and silly-fun-stuff?? 8V I love serious arks too, but I feel like we really need some fun too from time to time. 8’)

I like silly fun stories but when they lasted for 5 months, man, this need to stop. MTMTE is not RID cartoon, things need to be pushed forward instead of just weekly fun (and to be fair, RID cartoon has a nice pacing for a light hearted weekly cartoon aim’s for kids, but it’s difinitely not a pace a monthly ongoing comic should take) .

I think it would be better if there is a Lost Light Spotlight for those one issue silly fun stories.

Gosh, I think I started shipping GrimBee when I saw that one moment in one of the first episodes, when Grimlock says he has a disguise and tries to look like a truck rolling around going WROOM WROOM HONK and then he stops and looks at Bee so hopeful, and Bee has such a fond expression on his face, so amused, and he just lightly shakes his head with a smile and ugh that expression undid me, he's just.. so.. fond of Grimlock's trying to be usefull and go on a mission with everybody aghhh ;w;

I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about the series as a whole when I started watching it, but I had some definite “THIS GRIMLOCK IS NOT A GRIMLOCK” feels in the beginning. Other than being a T-Rex and having a healthy amount of self-confidence, he really isn’t like other Grimlocks.

I sometimes have a hard time dealing with that sort of change, so it was kind of a turn off for me. I was kind of turned off to a lot of things about RiD in general, but was like “well, I won’t get out of bed at 6:30 AM to watch it, but I’ll watch it on the internet when I have time.”

I wound up liking it more than I initially expected – And I liked Grimlock much more, too. He easily could have been some other character and been given some other name (but…Hasbro’s all about marketing, so why give him a brand new name when the kids this show is aimed for will be like “Oh, Grimlock. He was in the Transformers movie. I know that name!), but he’s not, and rather than think about how he’s “OMG NOT LIKE OTHER GRIMLOCKS” I’m kind of taking him as his own separate entity.

And he’s definitely adorable and endearing and likeable. He’s got a lot of personality and I definitely think you’re right – He’s been given this chance to be part of the team and he wants to do it soooooo bad. He’s like that one kid who wants to bad to be cool and will do anything to impress the other cool kids so they’ll accept him. He’s like “Bee. Bee. Notice me. See me helping. See? I can do it. Bee? Bee! Look at me!”

And Bee’s noticing. Grimlock might mess up, but I’m fairly certain Bee knows he’s more reliable than Sideswipe (and probably sometimes even Strongarm), and there’s definitely an air of fondness there.

Easily, this could be read as the way I’m sure it’s intended – They’re friends. The team is this ragtag bunch who’re are figuring out teamwork and have learned to care about each other after circumstances forced them together. But there are little things here and there that make it so easy to read more into Bee and Grimlock’s interactions and be like “Yes. This. This is lovely and wonderful. More of it, please.”

Ahahah, thanks! I had a lot of fun coming up with these!

Grimlock drawing his favourite people is my headcanon since G1, and so far only the comic/video games version of him don’t slot into that. All other versions are beautiful cinnamon rolls that enjoy crayons.

Sideswipe seems to me like someone who’d have a hard time admitting how much he’s started to care about the people around him. Especially not that know-it-all Strongarm. And yes, I happen to like the Strongswipe pairing. Strangely, though, I wouldn’t be too happy if it ended up becoming canon: 1) because I’d be afraid it’d be too cliché, 2) because I like the idea of a show where two protagonists of the opposite “sex” (quotation marks because robots) that bicker all the time DON’T end up together. I like to keep things open in canon. That being said, I enjoy the little hints that they do like each other (friendship or romance or whatever) and I like to play with the idea of them kinda sorta having a crush on each other but not admitting it, not even to themselves.

IF IT'S NOT TOO LATE with the opinions meme xD *cough* (You already heard this one irl from me tho.) Romantic relationships in mtmte should stop being only centered around CD-RW and their friends (Dominus, Prowl, Brainstorm even).

I would choose “agree”, if you asked me this before #38. Prowl, Dominus - these two are orbiting the CD/R relationship, I agree, and are directly connected to them romantically (debatable in Prowl’s case, but eh). But with Brainstorm, it doesn’t feel that way. It felt genuine, and though he did speak out when Rewind died, and he partly did what he did to save Rewind, and because he, too, felt... I feel like the cause-and-effect here is working in reverse to what you’re saying. I don’t think there is romantic stuff surrounding him because he is Chromedome’s friend, but rather I think he was the one who said the stuff he said to CD in #16 because he had felt this way, and 22 issues later, we found out why.

And really, if (for example) Cygate became canon, one could argue that Tailgate is Rewind’s friend, no? :P

But I would love to get another separate ship, though I think currently the most likely are cygate and perceptor/brainstorm (IMO IMO IMO). Ah, and dratchet, I guess, but somehow I doubt that :/ I mean, those three got the most build-up in the comic, so. And tbh? I would not really like to get a ship without build-up. I’m sure JRo wouldn’t do that, though. And I love all the different friendships there, as well. I love romance (usually when it’s queer), but I always long for more close friendships, as well. c: I’m glad we have that group of silly friends that met there and got together! not only people who’ve known each other for a while. It’s really important to me.
