Helsingin Sanomien jutussa esitellään Kajaanin kaupunginteatterissa helmikuussa 2025 ensi-iltansa saava uusi musikaali Pesismusikaali:

"Pesismusikaalin tarina kertoo kuvitteellisesta Koskelan kunnasta. Koskela on muuttotappiokunta, jonka valtio pakottaa liittymään naapurikuntaan tai uhkaa tehdä siitä ydinjätteen pakkosijoituspaikan. Ratkaisuksi kunnanisät keksivät herättää henkiin vanhan pesäpallojoukkueen ja haastavat valtion pesäpallo-otteluun kunnan kohtalosta."

It's not so much a specific scene as it is a... let's say feature of camboy.

The dynamic between the JO boys in the fic, while absolutely drawing from what we see of them irl, is also heavily inspired by my own friend group. It's a group of friends that frequently roasts each other on main and that has gotten into a lot of shenanigans, some more drunken than others.

The pineapple Bojan gets as a birthday present is one of those shenanigans that got adapted. A couple of us were headed to Tahko in eastern Finland, this is something like... 15-20 years ago? First drinks were cracked before we were even backed out of the driveway, at one point we drove past a friend's football team who were headed to an away game and my friend hid under her jacket because she'd told them she was sick and couldn't play.

At some point we stopped to do some grocery shopping, and someone got the brilliant idea that we needed a mascot. Why? Fuck knows, but we picked the most random vegetable we could find, which was a zucchini. Who was then named Ztiig. And once we got to Tahko, Ztiig got a very rudimentary face carved and was included in the partying. Ztiig somehow survived the weekend and went to live in a friend's fridge until he, uh, wasn't quite as firm as he used to be.

RIP Ztiig. You were a good zucchini.
