Like Oh 2.0 - Group Date

Previous Chapter: Date. Lessons. Gym. Word Count: 4,107 Summary: Melanie and Jaebeom first meet through a group date.

here is the third chapter where Jaebeom and Melanie officially meet one another... in a sense. lol so happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~

When Melanie arrived at the karaoke place with Dasol and Haeryong the trio were greeted by Seolbi along with the other two that had replaced Jasmine and Jeannie's spot. Upon reaching them, Melanie grew confused on why Dayoon was there as she never hung out with them except for when she was with Melanie and the twins only. Melanie did mentally roll her eyes upon seeing the other girl, Yerim, who was standing close with Dayoon. It was because Melanie wasn't fond of her ever since she came to the first group date with the Anam Tigers several months ago, but never voiced out her opinion as she was Seolbi's friend. The reason Melanie wasn't exactly friends with the girl was because Yerim only hung around whenever Seolbi would invite her when one of them bailed out or whatever. Plus, Yerim gave her bad vibes from the get-go.

"Hey everyone!" Seolbi greeted the others happily. "You all know Yerim, but this is Dayoon. She's a friend of Yerim and it's her first time doing a group date." The two younger women waved at the trio as everyone exchanged pleasantries. "I know I said to meet here, but we're actually going to meet the guys at Taegukgi now." Seolbi explained as she motioned for them all to head back to the subway station. "Why didn't we just meet there in the first place, Bi?" Dasol asked in confusion. "Yeah, Bi. It would have saved us a twenty minutes ride coming here." Haeryong added as Seolbi laughed sheepishly. "Sorry. It's because I sent a message to the Kondae boys to meet at the karaoke place, but one of the guys, Jaehoon, said they couldn't make it in time and opted for our original meet-up place just now to eat first."

"We could have still waited for them to show up and eat somewhere around here though." Melanie reasoned as the group of six boarded the subway train to their next destination. "I know that most of us wouldn't mind." "Yeah, I know, Chaewon unnie, but they're already on their way to Taegukgi and I just thought we'll just convenience them." Seolbi informed them as Melanie rolled her eyes, "Okay," before resting them on Dayoon. "I thought you had to help your cousin with something, Dayoon?" The younger woman slightly jumped upon hearing Melanie's words before answering slowly. "Oh, well, it was short and um, and not as long as I thought it would be. Then Yerim unnie asked me to join her on this outing and I agreed." "I see." Melanie didn't quite believe it as the younger woman seemed suspiciously jumpy unlike her usual self, but didn't voice out her thoughts.

Melanie was playing Candy Crush Saga and on the Dreamworld edition on her phone as she and the other five were patiently waiting for the Konkuk University boys to show up. She didn't participate in their discussion or gossiping about whatever they were talking about as she had no real interest with their topics and mostly kept to herself until she felt like interacting. Besides, the owl kept her more entertained compare to talking about people that didn't concern her. "Dammit, Odus. Why do you keep doing this to me, Odus?" Melanie muttered as she would scold the virtual bird in English every time the bird would shift a little too much to one side of the scale that eventually would tip over and Melanie would again fail the level. "Stupid little bird."

"Unnie." Haeryong jabbed Melanie right's side to get her attention as the Kondae boys had just arrived and were all staring at her due to her mini outburst. Melanie gave her friend a dark look before turning her attention to the six males in front of her as her gaze soften. "Oh, hi." She weakly smiled at them with an awkward wave with her right hand while setting her phone in her pocket with the other as the males cast her friendly smiles except for one who Melanie noticed was wearing a mask and couldn't tell. Maybe he's sick, she thought before turning her attention onto Seolbi who began speaking. "Yay, we're all here." She exclaimed excitedly from her seat as she indicated for the males to sit across from the females. "Please, sit."

"Sorry we made you girls wait." Jaehoon apologizes on behalf of himself and his friends. "Oh no, no. The wait was well worth it." Dasol smiled at them before Yerim spoke up next. "We've been highly anticipating for your arrival, honestly." Oh, that we love hearing about." Taesuk commented with a flirty tone to match his smile. "We can say the same thing about you ladies, too." Everyone laughed as Daeil spoke up a few seconds later. "Um, how about we introduce ourselves?" "Great idea!" Haeryong agreed as she looked about the table. "Who wants to go first?" Everyone just looked at one another and so Haeyrong decided to go first as she stood up to do so with Dasol springing up next. Then she was followed by Seolbi.

Distracted by her mobile once again as Melanie returned to playing Candy Crush, she missed her cue to introduced herself next as she was always the fourth one to go after Seolbi. So Seolbi nudged Yerim to go next who introduced herself in a shy manner. Dayoon was sitting next to Yerim and followed after once her friend had sat down and did the same thing. Now everyone turned to face Melanie, but she was still distracted by Odus who was close to following off of the scale again. "Unnie." Haeryong had to nudged her friend again as Melanie let out distractedly, "Hmm?" "It's your turn." Haeyrong whispered as Melanie sighed softly while turning away from her phone and towards the males.

Melanie still wondered why she attended these group hangouts even though she wanted a boyfriend, but doing this for the past two years have surely gotten tiring and repetitive with no results of a boyfriend. I think this will be my last one, Melanie thought as she quickly plastered on a friendly smile while standing up to get it done and over with. "Hello. I'm Lee Chaewon, I'm in my third year at Seouldae, and I like the color blue." She finished it with another smile and sat down. Melanie decided that she would keep it simple and didn't want to go further into details of herself when she knew that she would never see any of them again or attend another group hangout again.

All six of the Konkuk males clapped enthusiastically after the females had introduced themselves in a cheerful manner and thanked them for their introductions before going one by one to introduced themselves next. Jaehoon went first. He was followed by Chulsoo. After him was Daeil. Jaebeom went next. "Hello, I'm Seol Jeffrey. I'm in my third year at KU under the Music and Films departments. I'm sorry for the face mask as I'm unwell and didn't want to get any of you sick, but I really hope that doesn't disrupt our time together though." Jaebeom quickly sat back down as Melanie stared at him a little longer as the words he spoke triggered something in her mind, but she couldn't quite figure out why or what it was exactly that made her think about him a little bit more than the others.

Her thoughts were disrupted by Haeryong nudging her playfully. Melanie turned towards the younger woman and noticed her friend was wriggling her eyebrows up and down with a knowing smirk. Melanie rolled her eyes and nudged Haeryong back just as playfully as they focused their attention onto the last two males. Kyungtae went after Jaebeom, and Taesuk was the last to introduce himself. The girls soon clapped with just as much enthusiasm as the boys had and thanked the boys for introducing themselves as well. As for the seating arrangements, it went like this. Melanie was across from Taesuk. Haeryong was across from Daeil. Dasol was across from Jaebeom. Dayoon was across from Chulsoo. Yerim was across from Kyungtae. And Seolbi was across from Jaehoon.

A minute later a waiter stopped by to take their order as they ordered brisket, short ribs, and pork belly. The group of twelve also opted for alcohol with Melanie already ordering dessert before everyone else as she really wanted to eat something sweet while waiting for the meat to come so they could cook it themselves. While everyone was casually mingling with one another, Melanie kept to herself as she gave up on the Candy Crush game and focused on the Diamond Digger Saga instead. As the female's attention was solely on her phone, she didn't notice that Taesuk was trying to get her attention. "Chaewon-yang, right?" Melanie heard a deep voice say her name and she looked up. "Hmm? Ah, yes."

She smiled at him sheepishly while putting away her phone so she could interact with guy. "Taesuk-goon, yes?" "Yes." He bowed his head towards her with that same smile from earlier. "I don't mean to sound rude, Chaewon-yang, but I couldn't help to notice your accent when you speak." He also eyed her closely. "And that you don't appear Korean either." Melanie just smiled at him. "It's okay. You weren't rude at all. But yes, I'm not Korean and I'm actually from the states." Taesuk's expression turned to one of interest. "Oh, wow. How long have you been here?" "For a little over two years now. It's why my pronunciation is a bit choppy at times and also why the accent pops up, too." Taesuk chuckled softly. "It's okay, Chaewon-yang. Your pronunciation is quite good. Actually, it's a lot better than Chulsoo hyung at times."

"Did I hear my name over there, Taesuk-ah." Chulsoo asked turning to look at his friend as Taesuk denied it. "No, hyung." He then flashed Melanie a mischievous look and Melanie saw how handsome he looked and noticed the dimples. Aww, he has dimples, she thought as she smiled at the male. "So are you from Seoul or another part of South Korea?" "Not from Seoul. I'm actually from Jeju." Melanie's eyes widened upon hearing he was from Jeju Island. "Wow, really? That's so cool. I haven't had the chance to visit there yet even though I've been here for two years." "Hmm, maybe I can show you around when it's holidays?" Taesuk offered in a friendly manner as Melanie nodded in agreement. "Yeah, maybe. That would be fun."

Just then the waiter returned with two bottles of blue raspberry flavored soju, the side dishes, and the macaron ice cream that Melanie had ordered. "Thank you." The female thanked the male waiter as she positioned the dessert in an appealing way while bringing out her phone to take a picture. "On Instagram?" Taesuk asked her curiously as Melanie shook her head with a playful smile. "No. Just to send it to my friends and sister who wanted to come here, but I came first." Just as Taesuk was about to reply back, Seolbi's voice yelled out 'change' and she saw her friends and the Kondae guys switched seats, but remained where she was after putting away her phone when she was done messaging the other three.

Once that was done and over with Melanie frowned when she noticed Yerim was sitting next to her and Dayoon was next to Yerim. Jaebeom was now sitting across from her as Taesuk was all the way down on the other end with Dasol conversing just as freely as he did with her. Melanie returned to her dessert as she picked up the mini plastic spoon with her left hand and took a bite out of her green tea macaron ice cream and loved how it melted in her mouth. Melanie relished in the deliciousness when she heard Jaebeom asking her a question. "Is that good, Chaewon-yang?" She nodded her head as she took another bite. "Yeah. Do you want to try it, Jeffrey?" She offered the dessert towards him while speaking in English.

Jaebum didn't respond as he didn't know what she had actually said because he didn't know English, but judging by how Melanie was holding the treat towards him he assumed what she was trying to do. "Ah, no it's yours. I don't want to impose. Plus, I'm sick, remember?" Jaebeom rejected, but he had answered in Korean as Melanie tilted her head upon him doing that, but dismissed it. "Psh, whatever. It's fine, Jeffrey-goon. I don't mind." She pushed the dessert closer to him while sticking the spoon into it. "Maybe I can miss a few days of school." She grinned at him playfully. "Besides, it's a really big macaron ice cream. I might not even eat it all." Jaebeom relented at Melanie's generosity and he's not one for passing up food either. "Alright, Chaewon-yang. If you insist."

Melanie noticed that Jaebeom had picked up the spoon with his left hand before moving it to his right while slightly bringing down his mask with his left. He tasted the treat and was surprised at its taste. "Oh wow. That is super good." Melanie heard him, but she was more focused about whether he was a lefty or right as she hardly ran into other lefties. "Are you left-handed?" Jaebeom had just finished his second scoop when Melanie spoke about the left-handed part. "Um, yeah." He coughed a bit before regaining his composure. "I'm ambidextrous, but I eat with my right and write with my left. I noticed you're left-handed, too." "Mmhmm, but that's good, right?" Melanie smiled as her shifted to the dessert before them. "Oh, yeah." Jaebeom took another bite of the dessert.

Just as Melanie was asking for her dessert back, Haeryong had to open her big mouth to tease the two upon noticing their interactions with one another. "Look! Indirect kiss!" Everyone at their table turned to see Jaebeom still with the small spoon in his hand and the macaron dessert in mid-motion to be placed into Melanie's hand. "Whaa, so cute, Won unnie!" Dasol cooed from the other end as she blew her friend a kiss. "Haha, you go, girl. You got this." She cheered in English as Melanie rolled her eyes. Then the others started to tease the two for doing such a thing so sneakily. Yerim wasn't pleased with the thing, but she went along with it so that no one would noticed her displeasure.

Chulsoo who was sitting beside Jaebeom clamped a hand onto his left shoulder. "See, hyung, I knew you would be getting all the ladies tonight." Melanie heard that and didn't like the way it sounded and so she dismissed that thought while brushing off all of the teasing and grabbed back her dessert. Jaebeom was going to say something to her to disregard what they were all saying and Jaehoon was about to speak up for another 'change', but the waiter appeared with another waiter to set all their meats onto the table interrupting them. They decided to just stay put to eat and converse more with one another as Melanie asked one of the waiters if he could bring extra dishes of fish cakes for her as she really liked them.

The teasing stop once the food arrived and everyone went back to talking again. Melanie decided to stay quiet and eat to avoid interacting with anyone. A few seconds later, she felt bad for Jaebeom as he ended up staying quiet once the teasing ceased as well. His mask was lowered more so he could eat better, and Melanie figured she could at least be nice just for one more night of this group hangout. "So, uh, Jeffrey-goon," She began slowly in Korean as she was unsure if she should asked him in English since he didn't respond last time when she did speak English. She was also curious to know if he was born in the USA or Australia, or another English-speaking country. "Are you from overseas?"

The male looked up confused after he had finished chewing his pork belly lettuce wrap. "Huh?" Melanie repeated her question as Jaebeom shook his head. "Ah, no, no. I'm not from overseas. I was born and raised in Seoul and have lived nowhere else. "Oh, then did you parents just give you an English name." Jaebeom laughed sheepishly as he shook his head while he smiled at the memory of his name. "No. It's an English name I gave myself." Melanie found his smile familiar, but couldn't put her finger on it. It was the same for his tone of voice as the more she heard it the more she found it familiar as well. She just couldn't figure out from where and so being curious Melanie leaned forward so she could speak for only him to hear.

"For some reason you seem really familiar, but I don't know why." Jaebeom shot her another smile and she noticed his eyes twinkle playfully and just as she was about to comment on it, Haeryong interrupted her. "Omo, look at these two!" Haeryong continued to tease with glee. "They're hitting it off in their own little world and ignoring the rest of us." Dasol joined in on the fun. "Thank the heavens for bestowing a sliver of light upon our Ice Princess' dark and poor soul." Melanie grimaced at her friends' teasing and backed away from Jaebeom to sit up straight while finishing her green tea macaron ice cream. "Whatever. Shut up." "Don't be all shy, Won unnie." Seolbi giggled. "We're just teasing." "Well, stop it, the three of you."

Melanie mused with a dark look, but then it clicked in her head as to why the guy across from her seemed so familiar who was also getting teased by his own friends. "What's with that face, unnie?" Seolbi asked as her face lit up mischievously. "Are you having those major feels now?" She wriggled her eyebrows up and down. "Do you want alone time with Jeffrey-goon?" Melanie snapped out of her trance to shoot her friend a dry look. "No. But nothing's wrong. Don't mind me." Soon enough everything went back to normal as Melanie couldn't contain the smile from appearing on her face as she glanced at Jaebeom one more time while bringing out her phone to message her sister that she was on a group date with her GOT7 bias.

Unknown to Melanie, Jaebeom had caught the grin on Melanie's face and wondered what caused that. Her expression became more excited when she started doing something on her mobile device. Jaebeom wondered if it was because of the whole constant teasing or maybe something else as Melanie had brushed off the teasing from earlier. He figured this must be about something else that could have put that expression on her face. Jaebeom averted his gaze from Melanie and made eye contact with Yerim who smiled wide upon meeting eyes, but he soon directed his gaze to his food instead. Although Melanie's expression was okay, Jaebeom felt more unease by Yerim's constant gaze upon him throughout the group date.

The younger woman only had her eyes on Jaebeom the whole time since he had introduced himself. Others didn't notice, except for Dayoon who Yerim had talked to more than the others, as they were enjoying themselves or were minding their own business. The other males eventually figured out that Yerim was only interested in Jaebeom as she completely ignored Kyungtae in favor of looking at Jaebeom who was conversing with Dasol comfortably from where she sat. Then when the switch up occurred, Yerim ignored Chulsoo like she did Kyungtae and made sure that Dayoon had sat next to her for some reason. So Chulsoo just conversed with the others knowing he wouldn't get a response out of Yerim or Dayoon.

Yerim was envious when Jaebeom sat across from Melanie instead of her and she was ignored by him once again when he spoke with Melanie comfortably. Then again, Yerim didn't speak or initial conversation with the male. She figured with her good looks she didn't have to do or say anything and he would look her way and approach her first. Jaebeom didn't want to approach Yerim as Mark's words from earlier rang in his head still about not bringing home a stalker. Although he was now cautious of Melanie due to that unexpected smile of hers, he figured she was safer from both Yerim and Dayoon who stayed just as quiet as Yerim. But he remained calm and cool for the remainder of the meal just to give them all the benefit of the doubt.

The group of twelve found themselves outside of Taegukgi while trying to figure out what to do next. Kyungtae suggested karaoke and Seolbi suggested there was one a block or two away that was opened twenty-four hours. A majority of them agreed, but Melanie excused herself from the late night activity as she didn't feel like singing tonight. "Hey, I think I'm going to go." Melanie said to no one in particular while lagging behind the others. "What?! No way, Chaewon-ah." Dasol pouted as she pulled on Melanie's hand. "You have to come! We haven't gone to one together in so long!" Melanie pulled her hand away and shook her head. "Nah, I'm not in the mood and I don't want to ruin it for everyone."

Haeryong threw her arms around Melanie's shoulders. "You can't bail on me again, Chaewon!" She faked cried dramatically. "You said the next time you and I would sing that one duet song you wanted to sing." Melanie freed herself while laughing at her friend's dramatic behavior. "This doesn't count, Ryong, but seriously guys, I'll pass. I did have fun with the dinner and all that though." "Fine." Haeryong and Dasol gave up as Seolbi looked at her in concern. "Are you going back to the dorms?" "No, I'm going to my sister's instead." "What?! You can't go there by yourself. It's not good to travel alone, Chaewon." "Bi, I'll be fine. You know I always do this." Melanie reassured her friends. "Besides, it's not that far away. It's in Cheongdam."

"Cheongdam?" Jaebeom let out in surprised as Melanie nodded her head in confirmation. "Yeah, my sister lives there and I stay there from time to time when I'm not at Seouldae." "Jeffrey hyung, why don't you accompany Chaewon noona since you live in Cheongdam, too." Daeil suggested innocently. "Since you're not feeling well and I don't think you want to come sing with us, too, right?" "Yeah, Jeffrey hyung." Jaehoon agreed with a hint of playfulness in his voice. "Why not accompany Chaewon-yang to her sister's place so she doesn't have to go alone." Melanie tried to reject the idea, but her friends and his friends weren't going to let her go alone.

Yerim on the other hand tried to say some things, but her suggestions were overpowered by the other voices who were already bidding their goodbyes to Jaebeom and Melanie. Yerim was about to stay behind with Dayoon when she felt Seolbi grab a firm hold of her and Dayoon's arm and led the duo along with the rest of the group. This left Melanie and Jaebeom to awkwardly stand there in front of Taegukgi as they watched their friends' figures get smaller and smaller. Melanie glanced over at Jaebeom and spoke honestly. "Look, I understand if you have something else to do. You really don't have to accompany me home." She cast him a reassuring look. "I'll be fine by myself. I promise." She held up her left hand in an oath-like post. "Seriously."

"No, no, no, it's fine. Seriously, I don't mind at all, Chaewon-yang. It's not a big deal as we're headed in the same direction, anyways." Jaebeom smiled at the female although his mask blocked the lower part of his face, but Melanie saw that it had reached his eyes and just went with the flow of their situation. "Alright, Jeffrey-goon. If you agree, then I'll agree to the part of keeping each other company on our way home since it's in the same direction." The two smiled at one another as the duo began to walk side by side towards the subway station opposite of where their friends went. "By the way," Melanie said after a few seconds of walking as she was curious to know Jaebeom's reason with his name from earlier, "Why go by Jeffrey when it would have been easier to go as Jaebeom?"

"Food is served!" Melanie announced as she set the last plate of food onto the large cloth where the old coffee table used to be. "When are you going to get a new table, Serena?" Jasmine asked as she dug in first. "I dunno. Haven't really been looking." Serena answered as Jeannie looked at her. "Or is it because you don't really want to buy another one?" "That too." Serena chuckled. "We can go Saturday. We're all free." Melanie suggested. "I'll think about it. Let's just enjoy our Black Day." "Yeah." Jasmine agreed while lifting her cup of soju. "To another year of being single!" "To another year of being single!" The other three followed along as they clinked their cups together before downing the alcohol. "I still can't believe we ditched class to hang out for today although we did the same thing last year." Jeannie commented a moment later with a laugh.

"Today wouldn't be any different like what happened on Tuesday, anyways." Serena commented as her sister shot her a look. "You're supposed to tell me everything with Mark when you go to class." "I'll see him next Tuesday, maybe." Serena remarked before diverting the conversation elsewhere. "So what happened, Jasmine?" "What happened what?" Jasmine looked at the older womanin confusion. "I thought you were going to spend Black Day with that guy who confessed to you on White Day?" "Oh, him. Yeah, no. We're done." "What happened with you and Seungmin?" Melanie asked looking towards Jeannie who just shook her head at not wanting to tell the story. "Let Jas tell you what happened." "Okay." Jasmine said as she placed her bowl down, but then had to shoo Biscuits away. "Biscuits, no."

The toy poodle whined for awhile, but back away when Serena made her a plate with smaller portion and out of the way of the other four and all the food. "Here, Biscuits. Go ahead, Jasmine." "Alright, well, Seungmin and I did go on a few dates, but then like he got possessive all of a sudden." Jasmine began to tell her story. "He even went around telling people that we were boyfriend and girlfriend and other guys to back off as I was with him. Like what the hell? It was so totally weird." "So what did you do?" Melanie asked as Jasmine sighed. "I told him I didn't want to see him anymore." "Did he take it well?" Serena asked this time as Jasmine shook her head. "No, he did not. The guy then went to spread rumors that we were gonna get engage and then marry each other after graduation." "Wow." "No way?" "Yeah, right? Ridiculous." Jeannie commented as Jasmine continued.

"Others believed him and others didn't, but I'm not gonna go around telling them what's true or not. If they wanna believe it, then let them believe. It's honestly so dumb." "Yeah, it is." "Forget about him." "It's whatever." Jasmine then looked at Serena. "What about you?" "What about me?" "Where's your lucky guy?" "I already told you guys. I'll feel sorry for the guy that ends up with me if I get with someone." Serena explained once again. "I don't like cuddling, all that skinship, doing all those couple stuff like interacting in that lovey-dovey manner, and I really like my alone time. Besides, I don't want to put that guy in that kind of position if he's with me where I can't show him all those affections and what not." "Bull." Melanie called out her sister's bluff. "You just don't want to give me nieces and nephews."

"Um, excuse you." Serena shot back while pointing at Biscuits who was now asleep on top of the couch after eating her meal. "She's kinda like your niece." "She doesn't count." Melanie answered with a raised eyebrow while Serena rolled her eyes. "Yeah, well Carson gave you a niece and a nephew and Cameron's going to give you twin nephews in a few months." "They're not even blood-related." Melanie countered as Serena shrugged. "True, but same difference." "Whatever." "Wait, Melanie, what about that Taesuk guy or was it the Kyungtae guy? What about them?" Jasmine asked. "Why not hook up with one of them." "Ugh. Don't mention Kyungtae. He's a creeper. I'll never date him." Melanie shivered. "He's the one that worked at Zion Market, right?" Serena asked as Melanie nodded her head.

"Yeah, did he think I was you?" "Big time." "What happened?" Jeannie asked as Serena explained. "He followed me asking why I wasn't answering him before he actually took a good look at me and apologized. He said that I look like someone he knew." "Well, you guys do look alike at a glance." Jeannie commented as the other pair of sisters roll their eyes. "Unlike you two who are twins." "Fraternal." The twins chorused. "Anyways, you didn't say anything about Taesuk. What about him?" Jasmine asked as Melanie shrugged. "I see him more as a brother, anyways." "Wow you already friend-zoned him?" "He really gives off that big brother type of feeling." "And he thought I was Melanie the other day, too." Serena rolled her eyes as Melanie laughed. "He told me about that where you tripped trying to run away when he called you 'Chaewon', right?"

"I just didn't want another Kyungtae scene okay." "Sounds about right." The younger trio commented as Serena rolled her eyes. "Whatever guys." "Wait, Melanie. Doesn't Taesuk know that you really know who Jeffrey is though?" Jasmine asked Melanie who shook her head. "No he doesn't. He still thinks that I think of JB as Jeffrey who's some random guy." "Wow, that's surprising." Jeannie laughed as she then looked at Serena with a sly look. "Speaking of JB or GOT7 for that matter, I noticed that you're hanging out more with Mark than your own bias." She then looked at Melanie with the same look. "And you're hanging out with JB more than your own bias, too." "Dude, that's true." Jasmine agreed with a chuckle. "Hanging out with your sister's bias instead of your own. How does that feel?" The other pair just shrugged as Melanie spoke up first. "I don't know except that JB looks way better in person than he does in all of the pictures and videos taken of him."

"Well, Mark seems slightly a little annoying than I thought he would be." Serena laughed. "Why?" The other three asked. "I don't know. He reminds me of the boys back home. Like if you're not close to them or whatever, they don't act like stupid little jerks and what not." "Oh, yeah, that. That's true." "Besides, he's always copying off of me." "Then what about the other three in English class?" Jasmine asked curiously. "Doesn't your friend, Ana, not know that you guys are friends?" "Not really." Melanie answered. "She's busy attending anything TVXQ, JYJ, SM-related and other groups she's in to while hanging out with her other English teacher buddies." "Hmm true." Serena agreed as she went back to talking about Jinyoung, Youngjae, and Yugyeom. "Anyways, we keep our knowing of one another on the down-low when we're in class. They also don't bother me as much as Mark does."

"Man, Serena, I wish you still taught someone from SM though. That would be great and I could have gotten signed merchandises and pictures, too." Jasmine whined with a pout. "Yeah, right. Almost all of them attend Korea Kent Foreign High in Kwangjin for their English skills." Serena told the younger woman. "From what I've seen on the wiki page for it." "Then go there and teach then." "Yeah, no. I'm not volunteering to teach again after this semester." "Why? Can't handle all the kids asking you questions?" Jeannie chuckled as Serena shook her head with a wry smile. "I hate talking to them." "Wow." "Hey," Melanie directed at her sister, "Did the GOT7 albums come in yet?" "Yeah, like three weeks ago." "Why didn't you tell me?" "I forgot." "Where are they?" "In my room."

Melanie went to fetch the packages as Jasmine took control of Serena's TV. "Hey, have you guys seen NCT U's music videos for The 7th Sense and Without U, yet?" "No. I haven't. Is it all of them or just a few members? I haven't kept up to date with SM." Serena asked as Jeannie answered. "A few of the members, but it has two sub-units for NCT U for some reason." "I don't know why either, but here. Watch The 7th Sense." Jasmine played the video just as Melanie returned with the large box. "Are you guys watching NCT U's music video?" "Yeah." "Ten has grown up a lot, Serena." "Who's Ten?" Serena asked confused upon hearing the name. "That Thai kid that you liked back in the day. He sang Justin Bieber's Baby song on that Star show." "You mean T-N-T?" "Yeah, but he goes by Ten now."

"Wait a minute. T-N-T is in S-M Entertainment now? Wow, I thought he was still a trainee for Starship as he was supposed to debut in Boyfriend, but then didn't because he didn't want to. He goes by Ten now, I wonder why." "Wait, you guys already knew of him before then?" Jeannie asked surprised. "Yeah. He was part of this Thai singing show called Teen Superstar. He was quite cute back then. I've been waiting for him to debut." "Well, he joined SM back in thousand and thirteen during SM's global audition in Thailand." Jasmine explained. "He actually wasn't a trainee for Starship. He refused." "How do you know?" "The fancafes." Jasmine smiled. "Well, at least he sounds fluid now when he raps in Korean. Before he had the potential, but was a bit choppy." Serena laughed. "Anyways, I'm still waiting for Johnny and Hansol to actually debut." Jasmine informed them. "They're like one of the longest trainees of SM."

When the music video ended Serena took the remote. "I know you're in your SM and NCT U mood, but let's watch this music video because I'm happy they're back and still around after another year." Serena then typed in HISTORY's Queen. "Who are they?" The twins asked as Melanie recognized the group's name. "Are they the one that sang that Die song." "Yeah, Might Just Die. That was released last year and they finally came back a few days ago." "I like how we spend our Black Day just watching K-Pop music videos." Jeannie laughed as the trio agreed. "Best way to passed time with no one to bother us." And when that video ended Jeannie took over. "I know this is like a few weeks old, but this is my jam and on constant replay since it came out." She entered OH MY GIRL's Liar Liar into the search bar. "I don't know the group that well, but it's so catchy."

"The coloring is so bright though." Jasmine commented as Serena agreed. "True, but it does have a catchy tune. I like it." "Is that Gongchan?" Melanie asked as the twins shrug. "Dunno." "I'm sure it's Gongchan." Serena laughed. "I think they were holding one of his official photocards, but I don't remember from which era. I'm sure they're from the same entertainment." "I see." Melanie took control of the remote next when Liar Liar ended. "My turn. This just came out today." She grinned as she inputted GOT7's Home Run and clicked on the practice video. "Is this one gonna be like Magnetic where they have a dance for it, but don't actually promote it unlike Gimme and Good Tonight where they did promote, but don't have an actual dance practice for it?" Jeannie asked as Serena remembered something. "I think it's the other title, so it should be a follow up one. Departure had a double title track or something."

"Dude, they look good in the baseball shirts." Jasmine complimented the boys. "And in jeans, too." "Ain't gonna lie, but JB looks hella fine with his hair like that and wearing the glasses." Melanie stated next with a laugh. "Mark doesn't look bad either although I can't really see since he and Jackson are wearing caps." Jeannie chuckled as Serena rolled her eyes. "Whatever guys. I'm watching the choreography and ignoring everything else." "You know you're checking them out, Serena." Jeannie teased as Serena smiled. "Maybe." The quartet continued to watch music videos and eat for the rest of the afternoon until Jasmine convinced them to go out and have fun for the night upon Ahri's request. "We didn't do anything last year. Let's just go and see how it is when singles all mingle together and just let loose." Jasmine grinned while wriggling her eyebrows. "It'll be a lot of fun."

The quartet were all dressed and ready to head out with Jasmine already opening the door and keys in hand with her red cardigan slightly off shoulder, but Serena decided otherwise as she lagged behind the others while tugging at the helm of her oversized longsleeve red shirt-like dress. "I'ma stay with Biscuits." "Serena. We're already dressed up and Biscuits will be fine for a few hours alone." Jeannie said while looking over at the older woman and adjusting her leopard print boots. "Ugh, you're always like this." Melanie grumbled a bit annoyed while adjusting her grey cardigan. "I just do, okay." "No way, Serena. We're dressed and we're gonna have fun tonight." Jasmine told her friend as she grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the apartment. "Now you have to come." Serena made a face as Jeannie slightly shouldered her playfully. "Don't worry, Serena. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself in no time." "Yeah, yeah, whatever." The four headed out into the late evening.

Serena and Melanie returned back to the Serena's apartment complex close to two in the morning. Jasmine still wanted to party with Ahri and Jeannie stayed to make sure her sister wouldn't get herself into too much trouble like last time and told the others that they would crash at Ahri's instead. So Serena and Melanie tiredly rode the elevator to the fifth floor and just wanted to crash into their own beds. At first they were just sight-seeing around Cheongdam and could do whatever around there when Jasmine suggested going to Itaewon a few minutes later. When they did arrive in Itaewon the quartet met up with Jasmine's friend, Ahri, who then suggested for all of them to go clubbing. Once there Jasmine had them take shots at any given moment while Ahri kept them at the dance floor to dance away the alcohol. It was tough, but the sisters were able to call it a night after a few hours of the night life.

"Melanie, I'm never clubbing with those two ever again. Actually, I'm just never clubbing again, period. Not my style." Serena groaned as she rubbed her temples as Melanie agreed. "Yeah. They're too much together." "Maybe, but I need water to wash out the taste of alcohol." "Water? More like food, Serena. I'm hungry." "You have the munchies." "Feels like it." "Let's go to Fairy Sweets right now. They're kitchen is still opened until six." "Really? Are you sure?" "Yeah, I always go there for my three AM craving of crispy chicken." "You would, but that sounds bomb right now." "I know. I always get two orders of that." "You would." When the lift arrived to the fifth floor Serena hit the button to take them back down to the lobby, but intercepted the door from closing again. "Ugh, wait. Gotta check on Biscuits, first."

Melanie waited by the elevator as Serena went to check on Biscuits. "Ugh, gotta change the pad." Serena groaned as she did so before cleaning up after the toy poodle and putting the leash on her. "C'mon, Biscuits, let's go." Melanie eyed the dog when she saw her coming with her sister. "Why are you bringing Biscuits?" "Just so she can walk around and not feel lonely either." Serena explained. "Besides, Chloe used to spoil her a lot and I have to make sure to show Biscuits some love." Serena and Biscuits entered the elevator as Melanie hit the lobby button. "Do you think they'll let animals in?" "Yeah. The owners and other workers bring in theirs from time to time." She then looked at the dog. "You're going to like them crispy chicken bites, Biscuits."

When the trio arrived to the lobby's floor they were greeted by seven figures. "Hi." They all greeted one another as the girls stepped out and the boys stepped in. "Where you going?" Jackson asked while leaning a hand against the door so that it wouldn't close on them as Melanie answered. "To eat." "Where?" "Fairy Sweets." "Can we come?" "No." Both sisters replied as they giggled away from the group. "I don't know if that was sarcasm or not." Jackson said as he looked at his fellow members. "I want to go." Yugyeom voiced out with an innocent expression. "A chocolate shake sounds good right now." "But they said no." Youngjae responded. "I still say we go." BamBam grinned. "It's not like we have any early schedules to attend to later today. "But sleep sounds amazing." Mark said as Jaebeom agreed. "Yeah, sleep would be nice." "Let's not bother them tonight." Jinyoung told his members. "Let's just go." Jackson declared. "I'm really thirsty."

The sisters were casually enjoying themselves in the furthest corner of the store with their food and drinks while Biscuits was happily snacking on some chicken bits underneath the table. Melanie was scrolling through her Facebook feed to catch up with family and friends back home. Serena was watching a music video when they heard several tables and chairs scrapping against the floor to be joined with theirs a moment later. "What are you watching, Jyongri noona?" Jackson asked Serena who had paused the video upon hearing the sudden noise. "David Oh's Where Did It All Go Wrong music video. So, um, why are you here?" The older woman's eyes scanned the other members. "Why are all of you here though?" "Jackson said he was thirsty." Mark answered with a small smile. "But he hasn't order anything yet." "I wanted to check in with these two first." Jackson countered as Melanie interjected. "It's like two in the morning. Don't you guys have a schedule later today?"

"No. Not until the late afternoon." Jaebeom answered with a tired smile. "So we're good to hang out for a bit." "Why is there so much of these?" BamBam commented as he ate a crispy chicken bite from one of the bags. "I don't know, but it's good and taste just like chicken." Youngjae said as he also ate a few more pieces. "It is chicken." The sisters replied in unison. "What's this flavor?" Yugyeom asked after drinking Melanie's drink that she had offered the younger male. "It's pistachio and almond." Melanie answered while taking a sip of her drink. "Why are you kids eating all of their food?" Jinyoung slightly scolded them. "If you're hungry, then go and buy your own." "It's fine," Serena assured the younger male. "They remind us of our brothers back home so it's all good. We ordered too much, anyways."

Mark looked at Serena puzzled. "I thought you said it was just you and Chaewon noona?" Melanie responded instead. "It is, but we also grew up with our neighbor's kids and so we just call them our brothers even though we're not the same race." "Oh." All seven let out when Biscuits leaned up to get Serena's attention. "Hmm?" She let out while petting the toy poodle's head. "You done? Alright, let's go." "Where are you going, noona?" Yugyeom asked once he noticed Serena standing up. "Gonna walk the night with Biscuits." "Can I come?" Youngjae asked hopefully as she looked at the male before shifting her gaze over to Jaebeom with a playful smile. "Ask your father." Everyone looked at her confused while Melanie rolled her eyes with a wry laugh. "You're stupid." "Hey, it's kind of true. Anyways, bye."

"Why're you always tryna leave whenever we come by, Jyongri noona?" Jackson asked with a slight pout. "What? No I don't, Jackson." Serena denied with a small grin. "You do it all the time noona." BamBam disagreed. "Since we all met." "Nah, it's not like that." Serena denied once again although she knew what they were saying was the truth. "I'm just busy and have other things to do. That's all." "Liar." Melanie muttered as Serena glared at her which Melanie just wriggled her eyebrows at her sister playfully. "Anyways," Melanie began as a small yawn escaped past her lips. "Let's call it a night. I'm tired and I want to sleep in my bed." She stood up and stretched her limbs. "But what about your food?" Jaebeom asked as he looked at the amount of food that was still on the table that girls barely put a dent in.

"Oh, you guys can have it." Melanie told him with a wave of her hand. "I'm sure you guys will finish it faster than us just taking it home to eat it later." "You're also like Jyongri noona, Chaewon noona." Jackson stated as Melanie looked at him confused. "No we're not." "Yeah huh." "How so?" "You also want to leave us whenever someone else leaves or something." "No, I don't. I actually don't mind hanging out with you guys." "Then why are you leaving?" "Because I want to sleep, Jackson." Melanie chuckled. "I swear Jackson, you're-" Melanie stopped as Jackson waited. "I'm what?" "Dumb." She admitted with a laugh as everyone busted out laughing except for Jackson. "I'm not dumb." "I know, I know. I didn't meant it like that." "Whatever, noona." "Don't be so salty, Jackson." "I'm not."

"Whatever." Melanie dismissed the topic. "Anyways, since Serena already left I'm going, too." "What?" Everyone turned to where Serena had been standing with Biscuits and was no where in sight. "She leaves so quietly and like no one even noticed it." "Ha, she's like a ninja cat." Melanie told them as Mark tilted his head in confusion. "What's a ninja cat?" "Basically what Serena is as she's a mix of both. She walks quietly and you can't hear her footsteps, but when you do notice her presence you kind of get startled from it." "Oh." "Mmhmm. It's what we call her." Melanie looked about at the boys. "Okay, so I'm gonna go and you guys can do you." "Like chill at your place?" BamBam asked with a smile as Melanie shook her head "No. I mean you guys can stay here and chill or go back to your own place." "But you said we can do whatever we want and we wanna hang out with y'all."

"Yeah, no." Melanie clarified as BamBam made a face. "We're already sorry about the table though." Melanie chuckled. "It's not like that, Bam. Unnie and I are gonna passed out when we get home. There's no point in having you guys over to stay up even more later than you need to when you have stuff to do." "Chaewon noona's right guys." Jinyoung agreed. "We need to get home, shower, change, and sleep as much as we can before our schedules." "Alright, then let's just head back home together." Jaebeom ordered as he stood up with the rest of the members in tow. "We're headed in the same direction anyways." "Fine." The younger ones grumbled as Melanie chuckle while muttering to herself as they trudged out of Fairy Sweets Tea Express after taking the food to go. "These kids. What a clingy bunch."

Like Oh 2.0 - Merry Christmas

it’s getting there! just four more chapters and Like Oh 2.0 is complete (here on tumblr that is lol) but yeah, it’s been fun revising this and sharing it one here. so just await the next chapters and happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~

It was close to midnight when the sisters got done face timing with their parents, their aunt Julisa, the twins, their so-called brothers and relations, as well as with Chloe and Taesuk, and everyone else for the rest throughout the day in celebration of Christmas Eve. It was because they knew that everyone else would be too busy on Christmas day to do their own holiday things. As for the sisters they were going to sleep in until the afternoon, eat while opening presents, probably check out the Christmas lights, and then turn in for the night. Both of them knew that there was nothing else for them to do when they were so far away from their loved ones.

Anyways, both Serena and Melanie tiredly crashed onto the sofa once they ended their last call with James who was the only one not celebrating it with a significant other. "I wonder if James just loves his single life to be tied down and committed." Serena mused with a yawn as Melanie nodded also letting out a yawn. "Probably. I think it's just him being hella picky though." "I know right." Serena agreed with a laugh as she closed her eyes. "Gonna sleep right here. Too lazy to go to my room." "Me, too." Melanie said as she made herself comfortable on the couch opposite of her sister.

Melanie and Serena were about to fall asleep into a sweet dreamland when both of their phones rang. Melanie's phone's volume was on low, but the light was flashing indicating activity. Serena's phone just continued to vibrate against the surface of the coffee table as she had muted her sound to vibrate mode instead. Melanie didn't budge as she didn't hear it, but she also didn't care for it. Serena on the other hand heard it and tiredly reached over to grab hers while lightly tapping Melanie awake with her foot to get hers as Serena had also picked up her sister's phone and threw it onto her sister's chest. "Answer your phone. It's ringing."

"Ugh, just leave me alone, Rere." Melanie groaned before actually looking to see who was calling her. She clumsily sat upright while staring at the image of Jaebeom calling her. "Why is he calling?" She mumbled as she answered his call. "Hello?" As for Serena she was debating on picking up Mark's call or not when she saw his name flashed across the screen, too. Serena let the call go through as she didn't feel like talking to him right now. She was about to set the phone back onto the coffee table when she felt the vibration first before the device lit up with Mark's name showing up again. Serena gave in and answered his call. "Hello?"

Both sisters answered the idols' call, but eventually got up and walked towards their room to talk in a more private manner when both idols requested for Serena and Melanie to go somewhere else so they could converse in private although it wouldn't really have mattered since neither sisters were loud or obnoxious to one another. Anyways, the sisters rolled their eyes while looking at one another and mouthed what the boys had said before silently chuckling and doing as what they had said and were now in their own bedrooms and lying upon their beds. "Could you meet me at the JYP building?" Both Jaebeom and Mark had asked the pair.

"Right now?" Serena questioned in disbelief with a laugh while staring up at the ceiling nonchalantly not really expecting Mark to actually think she would see him at this hour and weather condition. "Yeah." Came Mark's reply which caused Serena to frown and furrowed her eyebrows together. "You're serious?" "Yes, I'm serious." "Um, but why? It's so late though." There was a pause on his end as Serena waited for his explanation on why he wanted her to meet him at his company. "Mark?" "I have a few hours to hang before our next schedule and I just wanted to spend the early Christmas hours with my home girl." Mark simply replied, but to Serena it had caused her heart to tightened upon hearing his words. Before she could say anything, Mark spoke again. "So, do you think you could meet me at JYP soon?"

"When?" Melanie asked as she played with her bed sheets believing that he wanted to meet her later in the week or something like that. "Right now." Jaebeom stated as Melanie stopped fingering her blanket as she tried to process the idol's words. "As in right now? But it's late, JB. Why do you wanna meet you at the company, anyways?" She cautiously asked as she rolled onto her stomach and waited for his answer. It was silent for a while and Melanie spoke again. "Hello? JB? You still on the line?" "Yeah, I'm here." Came his response as Melanie waited to see if he was gonna say more. "I just wanted to hang out with you, Chaewon, before our next schedule. I have a few hours to kill and I thought we could spend the early Christmas morning hours together. Do you think you could meet with me?"

After agreeing to meet with the idols both sisters told each other about what their GOT7 bias had said about hanging out and agreeing to meet the two idols at their building. The duo went to change into warmer clothes for the cold airy night and grabbed their things before heading out. They decided walking to JYPE would help get their blood circulation moving and the fact that it wasn't that far away of a walk. The sisters texted the boys about their whereabouts and found the two already waiting outside for them in their get up. Before the duo could asked about the meeting both Mark and Jaebeom had took the respective sister's hand in theirs and led them in different directions.

Jaebeom had thought on taking Melanie down the Luxury Fashion Street which was only about an hour or so away so that he and Melanie could enjoy the Christmas lights he remembered her mentioning about several days ago. Mark decided to take Serena to the park as he knew that Serena always went there to do her nightly walk and maybe they could watch the night sky as well. To get there though both pairs took the bus in different direction and sat in a silence. Both pairs enjoyed the quiet comfort of each other as well as the night time scenery as it sped on by while still holding hands.

Once Melanie and Jaebeom had stepped out of the bus and began walking down the empty, but still lit street of Cheongdam Luxury Fashion Street, Melanie couldn't help but noticed all of the high end brand stores. She eyed the idol suspiciosuly. "You're not planning on buying me clothes or things from here when it's day light or something, right?" Jaebeom laughed. "No." He answered as Melanie still questioned him still not assured. "Then why are we here?" "The Christmas lights." "Oh." Melanie actually assessed their surroundings and took in the lights that decorated the dark streets. "It's so pretty." "I know." Jaebeom meant something else though.

The duo continued to stroll the streets as Melanie took pictures of the scenery with her free hand and Jaebeom took notice of it. "Do you wanna take pictures with the lights, Chaewon?" He casually asked as Melanie heard how he said her name for the second time tonight. "Did you just call me without the 'noona' part, again?" "Maybe." Jaebeom mused as Melanie stopped walking causing Jaebeom to stop walking. Melanie let out a slow breath before speaking in a calmer tone as possible despite her heart beating against her chest heavily. "You usually respect the whole age thing, JB. So why are you dropping it all of a sudden?"

"Because I was hoping you'll start calling me Jaebeom only instead of JB, Chaewon." Jaebeom explained while using Melanie's Korean name without the 'noona' part on it again. "Okay, Jaebeom, I can do that, but I still don't get why though to be honest. It doesn't explain on why you wanna drop the honorifics when you're so set on the whole age thing. You won't even let Jackson call you just JB or Jaebeom." "I like you, Chaewon." Jaebeom confessed as Melanie smile not really comprehending at first what he meant by it. "Okay, I like you, too, but h-" She paused as she realized what he had just admitted and needed him to repeat it. "I'm sorry?"

"I like you, Lee Chaewon." Jaebeom confessed for the second time, but frown. "Or should I call you Melanie?" Melanie laughed at his confusion. "You can if you want to." "But I want you to call me Jaebeom. Do you not want me to call you by your real name?" "It's fine, Jaebeom." He still looked unsure, but continued on. "Now you know that I like you, Chaewon, so please don't make me repeat myself." Even though she heard his confession and was just okay a while ago, but now that it set in her mind went totally blank. Jaebeom was growing unsteady upon her continuing silence and he wondered if he had just ruined the good friendship between them.

"Chaewon? Noona? Melanie? Lee Chaewon?" He repeated seveeral times until it snapped Melanie out of her daze and her attention focused on the male before her. "What? I'm sorry, Jaebeom, but I don't believe it." "Ugh, seriously? You're killing me, Chaewon." Jaebeom let out in an exasperated tone, but he held her firmly by the shoulders as he stared into her eyes. "This is the last time that I'm going to repeat this confession to you, Chaewon, but yes, I really do like you. Like a whole lot and for a while now." He confessed for the third or maybe it was the fourth time and Melanie smiled causing the idol to relax as she slowly admitted her own feelings, too.

"I know you're an idol and all and I don't know what you see in me to even like me or whatever, but I like you, too, Im Jaebeom." He grinned as he pulled Melanie in for a hug to which surprised her, but she soon wrapped her arms around him and returned the gesture. "You're such a cutie." She stated with a smile already knowing how he may respond. "I'm not cute. I'm sexy." Jaebeom said as pulled away first but then frown afterwards. "Wait. Um, does this mean that your bias is still Mark hyung though?" "Probably." She shrugged with a teasing smile as he groaned and she laughed at his childish reaction. "Hey, now. The important part is that I actually and really like you, Im Jaebeom. Not your group member, Mark Tuan. That's unnie's job now." She mused.

"Oh right. Jyongri noona's bias is me, right?" He recalled before smiling. "Mark hyung does like her." He then pondered on that and Melanie's previous words and nodded satisfied with whatever he was thinking about while pulling Melanie in for another hug with an even more satisfied grin. "That's true, Chaewon, that you like me out of the other six and your sister can have Mark hyung." "Technically, Jaebeom, I still like the other members, too." Melanie mumbled against his chest as the male pouted with a slight growl. "Why?" "Because GOT7 is still GOT7 so I like every member as I'm still an ahgase, duh." Melanie stated as she moved her head so she could look at him and not at his chest with a smile. "But, JB, I like you the best, Im Jaebeom. The one and only GOT7's leader. Is that good enough?"

"Yes." Jaebeom said as he went in for a kiss and at first it threw Melanie off guard, but she slowly returned the kiss and felt the idol smile against her lips. He pulled away first while cupping her face and rubbing tender circles with his thumbs against her cheekbones. "You don't know how long I've wanted to do that, Chaewon." She regarded him with a curious look. "And how long have you been wanting to do that, hmm?" "Since you came back from your summer holidays." "Wow, so you were jealous and salty." "I was not." "Whatever you say." Melanie tugged onto Jaebeom's hand so that they could continue their walk down the street again.

"Oh, yeah, here." Jaebeom pulled something from out of his pocket and handed her an envelope. "What's this?" She asked taking the item after putting away her phone and letting go of Jaebeom's hand so she could open it and read it. "A Christmas present." Jaebeom answered with a slow smile. "I thought you confessing your feelings to me was the Christmas gift?" She teased as she happened to pull out a ticket for GOT7's GOT7 Loves IGOT7 3rd Fan Meeting for February on the fifth of next year. She held up the ticket confused. "I'm not part of the fan-club thing though." "I figured, but I wanted you to go." He said in a shy tone. "Will you come?"

"I mean I can, but I don't know how these things work though." Jaebeom took her hand in his and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "I'm sure you'll be able to figure all of that out, Chaewon, because I don't know either." Melanie laughed as she held his hand tightly. "Yeah, I figured that much, too." She leaned towards him to give him a quick peck on the cheek. "Thanks." Jaebeom looked over at her startled. "What was that for?" "My thanks." "Do you think I could get another one? This time on the lips?" He playfully asked her while tapping a finger against his lips. "No." Melanie deadpanned with a smile.

Jaebeom pouted as he remained silent beside Melanie who laughed at his continued childish behavior. She brought out her phone to take more pictures of the night scenery that the Cheongdam Luxury Fashion Street had to offer. Melanie was too distracted that she didn't see Jaebeom eyeing her a few times before he tugged her hand a bit roughly against him which of course caused her to bumped shoulders with him. Before she could ask him why, Jaebeom had told her 'Merry Christmas', before running off with a laugh causing Melanie to yell, 'Merry Christmas', back and that she was going to leave him there. He came running back and took her hand in his again before she could do as she said and continued their walk down the street happily with her beside him.

When Serena and Mark stepped off the bus Mark happily led Serena towards the park as she wondered why they were here in the first place. "What are we gonna do here at the park, Mark?" Serena asked him as he looked over his shoulder with a grin. "Stuff." "Like what kinda stuff, Mark?" "Lots of stuff, Serena." He told her with a laugh as his head turned to the front of him again as Serena rolled her eyes although a small smile graced her lips. She continued to let the idol lead her with really nothing else to do as she figured the idol wouldn't let her out of his sight. "I swear, if you're pulling a prank on me, Mark, I'm not responsible for what happens next." Serena threatened as Mark laughed while she grumbled at his behavior. "This guy."

"I swear on my life that it's not a prank, Serena." Mark assured as he continued speaking. "Just enjoy the night air with me." "I know a better place that has the same air than here and not so far away from home." Serena mumbled as Mark stopped walking and she ran into his back. "Oof. Sorry, but why did you stop?" He shrugged as the two of them stood in the middle of the park. "Y'know, Mark, I really do love my night time adventure, but it's seriously too damn cold for any of this." After she had said that Serena suddenly felt herself being pressed up against the idol's chest as Mark took her hands in his and then put her hands into his coat pockets before he actually wrapped his arms around her.

"Um, what are you doing?" Serena asked almost in a panicked tone as they stared at one another with the idol smiling at her in the process. "I'm keeping you warm." Serena tried to back away, but Mark kept he in place. "Yeah, but like why?" "You said it was too cold for this." "I-" She opened her mouth to counter, but closed it as she had no response as it was true. Serena suddenly grew shy, cautious, flustered, and totally aware of their close proximity. She tried to back away again, but Mark wouldn't let her as he chuckled as he swayed the both of them under the twilight sky. "Y'know, Serena, you're quite cute when you get flustered by me and wanna run away." "Am not." "Don't lie." "I'm not. This is just awkward and unexpected." She answered, but kept her face away from his view. "Plus you won't let go of me."

A moment later Serena felt Mark stop swaying them and his hands were now cupping her cheeks so she would look at him. She stared, but went blank upon what to do as the two stared into each others' eyes. "I have something to confess to you, Serena." Mark broke the silence first as it snapped Serena back to reality. "Confess what, Mark?" "That I like you." He admitted with a soft gaze, but Serena didn't believe him. "Yeah, right." She laughed it off while placing her hands on top of his to remove it so that she could pull herself away, but Mark held onto her hands instead and still kept her at bay. "I'm being completely honest with you here. I like you, Serena." He actually admitted his feelings properly. "I really like you, like you."

Serena stood there shock by his words as she didn't think that an actual idol would like her back. No less, her sister's bias. Also, this just boggled her mind as she never intended to fall for anyone in her lifetime. Eventually, Mark's confidence seemed to dwindled by Serena's lack of response. "Serena?" He called as she focused her attention back on to the idol coming out from her daze. "Hmm?" "Did you not hear me?" Mark questioned with a soft tone as Serena turned shy while speaking. "I did hear you, but I'm still trying to process if this is really happening. Because to be honest with you, Mark, I can't believe it." A relieved look graced Mark's face as he chuckled before speaking his next words. "Then do you want me to show you another way that this is really happening?" "How?" "Like this."

Before Serena could question the idol about what he meant Mark had leaned in to softly kiss Serena who at first wanted to pull away, but Mark's hand found itself at the back of her head keeping her from doing so. This caused Serena to respond back by returning the same gesture and a few seconds later Mark broke the kiss. He leaned his forehead against hers. "I'm glad you like me back." Mark stated with a tender smile. "I didn't even say that I like you though." Serena answered once she processed the whole thing and deciding to be a tease about it which caused Mark to cast her a look of disbelief. "Why did you kiss me back?" "I got caught up in the moment." Before Mark could respond back, Serena upon impulse leaned in to steal a kiss before running away laughing.

Mark stood there shock for a quick second before he ran after the female who at that moment turned to look over her shoulder and saw that the idol was coming up fast and she panicked. She was about to break into a full on sprint, but Mark caught Serena from behind. "Got you!" She let out a weird squeal as the two tumbled to the ground in a tangled mess. The duo laughed at their situation as they lied on their backs and stared up at the night sky while their laughter die down a moment later. Both Serena and Mark continued to gaze at the sky until Serena broke the silence by confessing her feelings for the idol as well. "I like you, too, Mark."

Mark smiled as he looked over at Serena, then down at his hand to find hers, and he held onto it tightly while returning his eyes back towards the sky with a satisfied grin. "I knew you did." "Maybe I should it back." Serena remarked as she tried to free her hand from him, but Mark held on to it firmly while laughing. "I'm kidding." He pulled something from out of his pocket and waved it in front of her face. "Here." "What's this?" "Open it and you'll find out." "Obviously, Mork Too Anne." "That's not my name, Serena whatever your real last name is." He rolled his eyes and turned to look over at Serena who managed to open the envelope with one hand while speaking. "You don't need to know my real last name, Mork Too Anne."

Mark groaned, but was now curious about her name. "So, why did you go by a Korean name upon living here when you could've gone with your real one?" Serena contemplated if she wanted to explain it or not before answering him. "It was out of necessity. Plus, it was easier to go by a Korean name instead of the hassle of my last name since it's longer than a common Korean surname." "I see. How come yours is different from Melanie's?" "Oh. Mel likes Lee and Lee didn't flow with Jyongri, so I went with Park because it flowed better." The idol was gonna ask further, but Serena stopped him. "Now stop asking me about my name." "Fine." He grumbled as Serena laughed before frowning.

She tried to read the paper that he had just given her a while ago, but couldn't make out anything due to the limited lighting. "Alright, I give up, Mark." Serena said as she put the ticket back inside the envelope and into he pocket. "I can't read it. I'll read it later." Mark laughed while resonding. "I'll just tell you what it's for. It's for GOT7's third fan meeting in February next year on the fifth." "Okay, but why are you giving it to me?" "Because it's my Christmas gift to you and I want you to come." "I thought you liking me was your gift?" "No. The ticket is and I want you to come, Serena." "What if I say no, Mark?" "Then I'll be sad." "But what if I give it to another ahgase who really likes you guys?" "Then I'll still be sad because you still didn't come."

Serena sighed in defeat. "I guess I can go." Serena reluctantly agreed as Mark laughed before reassuring her. "If it makes you feel any better Melanie's gonna go, too." "How?" She turned to face the idol as he grinned widely. "Well, if you and I are like this, then what do you think the other pair are doing right now?" "Seriously?" Honestly, didn't expect it, but it is what it is." "Are you disappointed?" Mark asked with a curious gaze as Serena shook her head with a soft smile. "No." She returned her eyes above to the dark sky as she remembered what today was. "Merry Christmas, Mark." "Merry Christmas to you, too, Serena." Mark returned his attention to the night sky as well as the duo continued to lie happily on the ground still holding hands.

Previous Chapter: Concert Day and Pool Party Word Count: 3,872 Summary: The girls are back in SK, but in Jeju until summer is over and life starts up again. The boys decide to video call to check up on them.

while revising, i was actually debating if i wanted to keep this chapter or just scrap it. then again i thought might as well just keep it as it’s already there and use it for more character and story development. so yeah, happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~

After that day the sisters spent the rest of their summer with family before splitting up and heading off to other parts of the world before meeting up Aunt Julisa in Australia. Melanie and Serena learned about the incident of the pool party and felt uncertain about the whole thing about the behavior of BamBam and Yugyeom. The sisters didn't dwell upon it as it didn't concern them. They hoped everything worked out for the group and maybe Mark's friends would learn to know how to control themselves along with IGOT7s themselves. The sisters left it up to fate as they continued their stay in Australia before returning to Seoul around mid-August.

"Jeju here we are!" Melanie cheered once she got out of the car and took in the scenery. "Taesuk, this is seriously amazing!" Taesuk laughed as he got out of the car along with Serena and Chloe in tow. "I'm glad." "I'm still surprised that you two know each other and are dating." Serena remarked as she witnessed her long time and childhood friend and Melanie's recently new friend hug one another while walking. Chloe smirked at her. "You'll get used to it." "What she says." Taesuk agreed with a laugh as he started to unload everything from the car with the help of the others as he continued to talk. "When Yeojin mentioned that she was friends with you, Jyongri noona, I didn't expect you to actually be the sister of Chaewon noona, too."

"It's because of their surname." Chloe stated with a laugh. "I told them to use the same surname." "No." The sisters answered in unison which caused the couple to laugh at their reaction. "Thanks for coming out to Taesuk's home. I didn't want to come alone." Chloe admitted as Taesuk's gasped upon hearing the real reason. "What? You told me that Jyongri noona and Chaewon noona wanted to tag along." Chloe kissed him on the cheek with a sheepish smile to console him. "I'm sorry." Melanie grinned. "Hey, you told me that you'll show me around Jeju when we first met, remember." "I did, didn't I?" Taesuk laughed upon recalling his words as the quartet made their way to the front entrance of Taesuk's home as they were greeted by his parents.

Back in Seoul GOT7 were practicing their new routine for their comeback in September and they had just begun their break. "I'll be back in an half an hour." Their choreographer informed while exiting the practice room. "This routine is more hardcore than the others." Youngjae sighed as he lied on the floor. "It fits the song we're doing it for, hyung." Yugyeom stated as he was lying across the other side of Youngjae. "Does anyone want anything to drink before our break's over?" Jinyoung asked looking at his fellow members. Everyone listed off their drinks except one. "BamBam." Jinyoung called the younger male who was too busy on his phone. "BamBam!" "Huh?" BamBam looked at the older male. "Yeah?" "What do you want to drink?" "Uh, iced americano." He answered as Jinyoung took note and left with Youngjae and Jackson to get the drinks and other things.

BamBam was preoccupied by his phone that the other members were curious. "BamBam." Jaebeom called out. "Hmm?" BamBam answered while his eyes were still on his phone's screen. "Why are you so quiet?" "I'm going through Chaewon noona's snapchat story and Jyongri noona's Instagram posts." He smiled a goofy smile, but didn't look at his members. "Did you guys know that Chaewon noona also has a tattoo. It's on her left wrist. I hadn't noticed that all this time." He switched over from Snapchat to Instagram. "And Jyongri noona got another tattoo with her friend. Noona got the sun while her friend got the crescent moon. Something about a matching tattoo." He glanced up to show them the pictures.

"They're in Jeju right now." BamBam explained as the other three glanced in his direction, but the oldest two made no move to actually come closer except Yugyeom. "Who's that?" He took a hold of BamBam's phone to examine the images better. "I wonder who this guy with Chaewon noona is? He's quite handsome standing with noona." He saw the same guy standing with Serena this time around. "Oh, he looks handsome with Jyongri noona, too. I wonder if he's a friend of theirs or one of their boyfriends." He swiped again where it was Taesuk with Chloe kissing in the background where the sisters were taking a self picture. "Never mind. He's with the the other girl. They look very good together, too."

"We shouldn't get distracted." Mark suddenly said as the trio looked over at him, but his face appeared neutral. "We should focus on our comeback." "Yeah, I agree. We should be monitoring our practices." Jaebeom agreed as he walked over to the duo and took a hold of BamBam's mobile device from Yugyeom's grasp. "I'll give this back at the end of practice, BamBam." "What about Yugyeom's phone?" BamBam protested and Jaebeom held his hand out for Yugyeom to give him his device as well. Yugyeom looked up at Jaebeom with a sligtly defiant look, but handed his to the leader. "Are you going to do the same thing for everyone else, too?"

"Yeah." Jaebeom replied without emotion as he made his way to Mark who reluctantly handed over his without saying anything, but his expression wasn't exactly thrilled as Jaebeom also placed his device within the pile and set the four hand phones to the side. "They'll be right here. Out of sight and out of mind until practice is over." He looked at his fellow members with a neutral expression. "I'll take the other three when they return, too. Fair enough?" "Yeah." The younger ones sighed as they stared at one another. "This is so boring." BamBam whined as Yugyeom deeply sighed. "I know. I didn't get the chance to see their tattoos."

Night time had fallen as Chloe, Melanie, and Serena were sleeping in the guest room whereas Taesuk was back in his own room. It was respectful for the couple to not share a room as they were not married and didn't want to cause any issues with Taesuk's parents, but that didn't mean Taesuk couldn't video chat with Chloe despite being several feet away. The sisters were okay with it as they did their own thing, but it kind of got personal when Chole would constantly giggle and comment on how cute Taesuk was being. So Melanie plugged in her earbuds and continued where she left off on another one of her Thai dramas while Serena left the room to the living room and do her own thing until she knew enough time has passed before she returned.

While the trio were asleep Melanie's phone rang waking up Serena. She lifted her head and opened her eyes while searching for the source of the sound. Serena spotted Melanie's phone lighting up and knew someone was trying to call her. She looked over at her sister, but the younger woman didn't budge. Serena was about to shake Melanie awake, but the ringing stopped. Serena went back to lying on her side when she heard the phone go off again. She groaned softly as she patted her sister awake. "Mel." The younger woman didn't stir as the mobile device continued to ring. "Lani. Your phone is ringing." Melanie groaned, but didn't wake up.

It stopped ringing a second later and Serena shook her head and tried to go back to sleep. A moment later the phone went off again and Serena decided to check the device herself. She slowly crawled out of bed and went over to where her sister's mobile device was located. Once she picked it up she saw that it was a video call from BamBam. "So late." She gave the phone a suspicious look. "Since when they have each other's contacts?" She dismissed the thought, walked away from the other sleeping figures, and answered the call although it was dark on her end. "It's late." Serena said once she saw the young male idol's face.

"Hello, noona." BamBam greeted. "Hi." "Is Chaewon noona awake?" "No. She's asleep. That's why I answered her phone." "Oh, right. What are you doing?" "Talking to you instead of sleeping." She eyed the idol. "Was there something that you wanted?" The idol laughed a bit nervously as he rubbed the back of his head. "Nothing in particular." "I see. Well, good ni-" "Wait." "Yes?" "Um, well..." BamBam trailed off as Serena let out a sigh as she glanced at the time on the top right corner. "It's four in the morning, Bam. I'm sure you're tired from practice and-" She was interrupted by another person appearing.

"Hi, noona!" Jackson greeted happily as Serena cast him a weak smile. "Hi, Jackson." "What are you doing?" Serena laughed at the question as Jackson frowned. "What's so funny?" "It's nothing. Why aren't you guys practicing or on a break or something?" "We're done with practice for today or tonight. We're just chillin' before going home." "I see. Shouldn't you guys be spending it doing something else instead of video chatting with people who are trying to sleeping?" "Uh, no." The duo answered as Serena rolled her eyes playfully. "Sure. I'ma wake up Chaewon now." Serena walked back to her sister and roughly shook her awake.

Melanie groggily turned to face her sister with half-lidded eyes. "What?" Serena held out the phone. "Call for you." "Who?" "BamBam and Jackson." "Huh?" Melanie slowly rose in an upright position as she rubbed at her face. "Why?" "I dunno, but BamBam face time you." "Face time?" "Yeah, but here." Serena handed the phone over to Melanie when the younger woman had finally woken up from her sleepy state. "Hi boys." She greeted them with a wide smile. "What's up?" The duo began talking while Serena let out a sigh as she knew she wasn't going to get any more sleep if her sister and friends were still talking.

"I'll be in the living room." Serena whispered to her sister while taking a blanket and her mobile device out to the living room and made herself comfortable on one of the sofa. Just as she had closed her eyes she felt her phone buzz before it started ringing. Serena lifted up the device and saw that it was a Skype call from Mark. "Seriously?" She wondered why he was calling her, but answered the call anyways. "Hey." She let out tiredly upon seeing the male idol smiling at her sweetly before slightly frowning. "Did I wake you?" "Technically, no, but I was about to go back to sleep though."

She softly laughed as she rose into an upright position to sit up as she ran a hand through her hair while Mark let out a sheepish laugh. "Yeah, sorry about that. I overheard BamBam chatting with you and then Melanie came on so I figured I'll video chat with you, too." "There's nothing special with talking to me, Mark." She laughed again when Mark joined in before speaking. "I beg to differ, Serena." "Whatever you say, Mark." The older woman than shot the younger man a look. "Why don't you just join Jackson with BamBam on the video chat? It would have been easier." "I could, but that's one too many people all at once" He shrugged indifferently as Serena rolled her eyes. "Okay, yeah, sure, whatever."

She let out a yawn and tried to cover it. "Maybe I should let you go." Mark told her as Serena waved him off. "It's okay. I'm on vacation so I have other days to sleep some more, but maybe I should be the one to let you go instead." "Why?" "Because you're the one that needs to sleep because of your idol schedule." "True, but I'm used to running on a few hours of sleep." "True." The two grew silent after that as both Serena and Mark glanced at one another and then elsewhere. Mark broke the silence a second later. "Um, about my friends, Serena, at the party and the concert-" He began, but Serena interrupted him. "Look, it's fine, Mark. Well, I mean, technically it isn't, but those are your friends and you aren't responsible for them."

She paused before speaking again. "I mean it's not your fault. You don't have to apologize. I can understand that they're your friends, Mark, and not mine or anyone else, but still though people should know how to control themselves." She sighed. "Honestly, don't mind me. You do you." Serena shot him a weak smile as Mark did the same, but the mood was still a bit heavy and Serena wanted to make it light again. "Anyways, that was one ugly Girls Girls Girls dance version." Mark cracked a smile before it became an embarrassed laugh. "So you watched it?" "I did, but not my choice. My sister showed me and I wished I didn't watch it. So embarrassing."

Melanie was thinking why they had call her about such an issue as it really didn't concern her. It's not like she was famous or had that much of an impact on their life for them to consider her opinons on them. She sighd and had settled back into bed when her phone rang again.

Melanie stared at Jaebeom's profile video calling her. "Why now when the other two just got done?" She answered anyways. "Hey, JB." She greeted upon seeing the leader's no make-up face. "Hi, noona." He smiled at her a bit sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry for calling you so late." Melanie dismissed it. "It's all good. The other kids called, too." "Who?" "BamBam and Jackson. I just got done talking to them a while ago." "Really?" "Yeah. Bam decided to video chat with me." "What did you guys talk about?" "Nothing much really. Just asked about the ugly version of the Girls Girls GIrls clip y'all did recently."

Jaebeo groaned upon Melanie mentioning it. "Oh." "Yeah, but don't ask me. I don't wanna talk about it if you're gonna talk about it, too." "Why not?" He asked giving her a weird look as Melanie shrugged tiredly. "Because it was second hand embarrassment for me and I didn't even appear in the video." "You're lucky." Jaebum told her as silence fell between them and Melanie sat up to run a hand through her hair as her tiredness was beginning to show. "If there's something you wanna say, then just say it." Jaebeom assumed he may have annoyed her. "Sorry." "For what?" Melanie asked tilting her head not aware about the tone she had used earlier.

"You seemed annoyed just now." Jaebeom mentioned cautiously. "That's just my face." She stated as he rolled his eyes. "You're face is never annoying to look at." "I guess." Melanie laughed missing the point of how he had said the comment. "You're face's not that bad either." She admitted as his eyes widened in surprise. "Really?" "Yeah. You're an idol. You guys always have flawless skin." "Oh." Melanie then re-adjusted herself as she stifled a yawn. "Aren't you tired? Shouldn't you be asleep?" "Why? So that you can go back to sleep?" "Yeah that too." She chuckled as Jaebeom smiled. "I should, but I felt like talking to you for a little bit longer."

Melanie scoffed. "Why? I'm not that interesting, JB." "Well, I find you interesting, noona." Jaebeom told her as Melanie shook her head still wondering why he would say that. "If you say so." "By the way, when did you and Taesuk hyung become close?" He asked her a moment later as Melanie thought about his question. "We've been close since the group date." "I didn't know you guys still stayed in touch after that." "Why wouldn't we? He's a cool guy. He reminds me of my brothers back home." "Ah, you mean the guys you mentioned that you grew up with, right?" "Mmhmm. It's just easier to say."

"So why are you in Jeju?" He asked and Melanie was wondering why he was asking her questions about Jeju. "Our friend, Yeojin, is dating Taesuk. She asked us to tag along with them so that it wouldn't be too awkward." "Really? Taesuk hyung hasn't told me anything about him dating anyone." "Because you're busy." "Probably. So, when are you coming back?" "Hmm, dunno. We're just hanging around for now since the other two are free. So maybe just a few days before school starts." "Ah." Melanie tilted her head with a curious expression. "Why do you ask?"

Jaebeom shrugged. "No reason." Melanie noticed that he hasn't been disturbed by the other members since they've been talking. "Where are the others?" Jaebeom looked around him before returning his gaze back onto Melanie. "Around. I lost track once practice was over." He laughed sheepishly as Melanie shook her head. "Must be tough to watch them six kids." "It was easier when I was an only child. I didn't have to worry about anything." Melanie laughed as Jaebeom continued to talk. "Still, it's nice having them around." "It's good having good company with you." "I agree. You're good company, noona." "Thanks. So are you." "I know." "Wow."

Melanie yawned again and Jaebeom noticed. "We should sleep." "You sure?" Melanie asked letting out another yawn and Jaebeom chuckled. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Schedules start up again in several hours." "I see. Hopefully I'll be able to fall back to sleep." Jaebeom frowned. "Will you be able to?" "I dunno. I'll find out when the call ends." "Should I sing you a lullaby?" Melanie smiled. "Actually, that sounds nice. Yes, please." Before she knew it she heard Jaebeom singing a song she didn't recognize. Within seconds she fell asleep as he continued to sing while watching her sleeping form. He hung up a few seconds later with a sweet smile.
