Porcus Isle Part I
Dom had always been larger than life. Standing at an impressive 6'5" and built like a linebacker, he was the kind of guy who turned heads wherever he went. But beyond his imposing physique, Dom was known for his easy-going nature and infectious smile.
Dom worked at a tech company downtown, San Diego, often putting in long hours. Despite his demanding job, he always found time for his true passion: exploring the vibrant food scene in San Diego. From taco trucks in Barrio Logan to high-end restaurants in La Jolla, Dom's weekends were filled with culinary adventures, always in search of the next great bite.
But Dom's favorite place was a small, unassuming diner near the beach. It was there, over a stack of pancakes and a steaming cup of coffee, that he found a sense of peace. The diner was a hidden gem, known only to a few locals, and Dom had been coming there since he moved to Socal. The owner, Jack, greeted him like family, and the regulars always had a seat ready for him. The whole diner was run by and frequented by big men. Dom felt right at home with these guys.
One sunny Saturday morning, as Dom was savoring his breakfast, a new face walked into the diner. He was a tall, built man with sharp features and immense confidence. He took a seat at the counter, glancing around the diner as if taking it all in. Like he was appreciating all the men. "Hey stud, you find what you're lookin' for?" Jack asked...
Intrigued, Dom decided to introduce himself.
"Hey there, first time here?" Dom asked, flashing his friendly smile.
The man looked up, meeting Dom's gaze with a curious look. "Yeah, just moved to San Diego a few weeks ago. Name's Alex," he replied, extending his hand.
"Welcome to the best diner in town, Alex. I'm Dom," he said, shaking Alex's hand firmly. "What brings you to San Diego?"
Alex chuckled. "A bit of everything, really. New job, new city, looking for a fresh start. I'm a software engineer."
Dom's eyes lit up. "No kidding! I'm in tech too. It's a great field, but it can be pretty demanding. This diner is my escape from all that stress."
As they talked, Dom and Alex found they had more in common than just their profession. They shared a love for video games and a passion for good food. Dom offered to show Alex around the city's best eateries, and Alex eagerly accepted.
Their friendship grew quickly, and soon, weekends were spent exploring San Diego's food scene together. Whether it was sampling street tacos, enjoying a craft beer at a local brewery, or having a quiet meal at the diner, Dom and Alex's bond became a craving for both men.
One evening, after a particularly grueling week at work, Dom and Alex decided to unwind at a new barbecue joint that had just opened in North Park. The restaurant was buzzing with energy, the scent of smoked meats wafting through the air.
As they dug into a platter of ribs and brisket, Dom looked at Alex and asked, "So, how's the new job treating you?"
Alex wiped his hands on a napkin, leaning back in his chair. "It's been challenging, but in a good way. The team's great, and the projects are interesting. It’s just... sometimes I miss having a bit more of a work-life balance."
Dom nodded. "I hear you. That’s why it’s important to have nights like this, to just relax and enjoy good company and good food."
Alex smiled. "Speaking of good company, thanks for showing me around, Dom. Moving to a new city can be pretty overwhelming, but you've made it feel like home.", "Anytime, man" Dom replied, raising his glass.
As the night wore on, their conversation shifted to their mutual love for video games. Alex mentioned an upcoming release he was excited about, and Dom suggested they set up a game night. This became the perfect way to unwind after eating out.
One evening, after a particularly intense gaming session and drinks, Dom and Alex found themselves talking about their interests. Alex expressed his admiration for Dom's physique and said he's looking to join a gym. "All this eating is starting to fill me out." Alex jiggled his belly. Dom's eyes darted to his bloated stomach. "Damn man. I didn't even realize." Dom was stupified.
He had always been focused on his own weight, but he hadn't noticed the changes in Alex.
"Yeah, it's been creeping up on me," Alex admitted, a bit embarrassed. "I've been so caught up in work and our food adventures that I haven't made time for the gym. Do you think you could help me out?"
Dom smiled, feeling a surge of excitement at the prospect. "Of course! I'd love to help you. Dom had no idea why the thought of Alex's weight gain turned him on.
That night in his dark room. He thought about that moment. His belly jiggled like it was no longer a part of him. There was no visibility of his ribs. His arms filled out his shirt sleeves more. His face softened up. Dom had never masterbated to a guy before. He stopped for a second to think about it.
It was late. He was alone. No one could judge him if he stared to look up what he was fantasizing about. He pulled up Google and started with image searches. 'Fat belly': 'fat belly guy'; 'beer belly'; 'beer belly men'.
That night he spent a few hours looking at fat guys. The bellies started small, but the longer he searched the bigger they got. He glanced at a picture of a man 600 pounds. His belly was covering his lap in bed. Every single ounce of his body jiggled from the slightest shallow breath from being overstuffed. The guy leaned back on his bed and his head disappeared. The big bulbous crescent shape stood at least 4 feet high; he imagined.
Dom hit his climax and started to cum. His body filled with chills, made the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. "I need to see this in person" he screamed and then he slumped back in his seat. He had some clarity and was worried about what he'd just done. "Why the hell did I do that?"
The next day he saw Alex at the diner, for brunch, and had a new appreciation for his body. "You know, after you mentioned it, I thought more about your physique." Dom shared. "Oh really? What is it you appreciate?" Alex said flirtatiously. "Um, well, I mean you're pretty beefy. That's a popular body type." He said nervously. "Beefy implies that I've been working out. I'm all jello, buddy."
The entire restaurant is quieter than normal. Dom didn't notice, but all the men in the diner were listening.
Dom could feel a twitch in his pants. "Ugh, shit, not this again." Alex was blushing. Dom was intently looking at Alex's body well beyond what was normal. "Something tells me you like it." He said with a smirk.
Dom smiled nervously. "I mean, you could say I appreciate the way you look." Dom was getting hot. "I need to use the restroom" Dom said. "Perfect, I'll go with you" Alex responded. Dom struggled to stand up straight.
They walked to the bathroom. "I feel like we're both flustered." Alex said. "Oh yeah, I guess it pretty obvious. I'm not sure what's going on lately", Dom replied.
Instantly and without hesitation the locked bodies and started making out. Dom's hands caressed Alex's newly sprouted love handles. Alex pulls back from Dom's lips and whispers, "You did this to me."
The door handle turns and someone walks in. They separate and the man said, "Are you that clueless, Dominick? We have all been dropping you hints for a while now.
"Is this like a chubby chaser establishment?"
The man responds "You mean the diner between a bear bar and a leather shop? Of course that's what it is. We managed to get you to gain 20 pounds man."
"Holy shit!" Dom exclaimed. "No wonder I love this place. Fat men make me horny. I can't believe I just said that out loud." Panic washed over him. "It's ok Dom. Nothing has changed." Alex reassured him.
"You were a part of this?" Dom questioned.
"Not really, you spoke to me first. I was coming here because I knew what I wanted. It took me a while to realize you had no idea what was going on. I thought you were playing hard to get"
"Dude I just found out I might be gay, I don't have the bandwidth to come to terms with a fetish."
"Great tech pun" Alex replied.
They both started laughing. When Dom rejoined the room it was like he was seeing it all for the first time. Some men had their large sack of flesh bulging out of their shirts.
"All right you guys. Dom knows what's going on." Alex announced.
That day was the moment Dom knew that Alex was the one.

Purr..
cw: suggestive af. You got a Brazilian wax for the first time and Toji lends moral support..smut after the texts
When you got home, Toji was waiting for you, chilling on the couch in his usual sweats and tank, legs spread, beer tucked between his knuckles. He watched TV , barely interested in what was playing. It wasn't until he heard your keys jingling and you coming through the door that his gaze shifted and lightened on the shape of your body in that tight yellow maxi dress he loved to see you in.
"Whew…Hey baby.." you huff, most likely relieved to be home and out of the heat. "I am so sick of people and their non-driving asses," you mutter as you shuffle into the house, kicking off your sandals with the rest of the shoes in the foyer and hanging your keys on the hook next to Toji's.
"Hey.." he greets you distractedly from deep in his throat, his attention following your every move as you settle in front of the body-sized mirror near the front door. Leaning closer to it, you assess that dewy sheen coating your skin, wiping a finger under your eyeline.
"Megs home?" you ask, vaguely aware of Toji's movements behind you in the mirror. He was lifting his beer to his lips for a sip, taking a quick one before responding.
"Nah, he's at the arcade with that pink-haired kid." his voice trails off as his eyes trail down your body to admire the curves he'd been thinking of all damn day. The way that shade of yellow complimented your skin made you look edible, like a freshly sliced lemon glazed poundcake. Sweet. Thick. Decadent. It made him think back on that video you sent him earlier of your freshly waxed bikini area. Your skin looked so smooth and supple, glistening from the almond oil the waxer rubbed over your mound.
His mouth was literally watering.
"Aww well, that's cute. I'm glad he's made friends finally," you remark with a crinkled brow of focus on getting any streaks of smudged eyeliner off your face. Toji hums in agreement, taking another draft from his beer as he watches you.
The roundness of your ass is defined by the way you were leaning over, looking like a huge ass yellow pumpkin, and the moment you straighten up was when he noticed the lack of a panty line under your thin dress.
"Have you eaten? I did a couple of hours ago but I have the strongest craving for tacos. What do you think?"
Toji's brows go up with interest as you turn around, his eyes lifting to your face unsubtly.
"Hm? Uh yea. Tacos sound cool. Hey, c’mere.” He nods his head in a gesture to summon you, narrowing his gaze on your lower body as you obediently approach him. "What?" you look down to where he was staring with a frown, stepping forward hesitantly. Toji merely fans his fingers towards himself to encourage you to come closer until you are standing between his legs. You smirk knowingly when his hands immediately find their home on the back of your thighs, his index fingers teasing at the cuff of your ass cheeks. Your hands slide over his arms and rest on his shoulders, an amused look crossing your face.
“What, Toji?” You repeat and he looks up at you, a cheeky look in his eyes that has you looking back him suspiciously.
“What do you mean, what? I just wanted you to come here..” he feigns guiltily, hands rubbing up and down the back of your thighs as he spoke to you.
“My woman’s been gone all day and now that she’s back, I just wanna be close to her. Problem?” He challenges , his devilishly handsome scowl making you bite your lip. You shake your head , lifting one hand from his shoulder run it through his hair lovingly.
“Nope. No problem.” You say, now smiling. Toji grumbles something smart under his breath before nuzzling your tummy with his face, pulling you closer to him with his wide hands now cupping your ass. You stumble forward with a little gasp and giggle, steadily playing with Toji’s hair as he hugged your waist.
He inhales deeply and sigh, gazing up at you again.
“So…you really walked out of here in this dress with no panties on underneath? And just been like that all day?”
He asks the question calmly but you could hear the hint of playful agitation in his tone. You tilt your head, perking a brow.
“And if I did?”
Toji shrugs.
“Just wondering how many accidents you caused walking around with that just move freely..” he responds, squeezing your cheeks for emphasis. You sqeal at the sharpness of his hold and he just goes back to nuzzling his face against your tummy , planting a little peck there before bringing one of his hands around to your front, resting it inches below your naval.
“Does it hurt when I touch you here?” He asks, looking up at you.
Looking down at him in such a submissive position was a rare treat, and it did wonders for the little dominant sex demon deep inside of you.
You bite your lip again and shake your head in response. Toji hums in understanding, his gaze dropping to fix on your center, rubbing his fingers down on a path that lines up with your hidden slit.
He hadn’t even touched it yet and your clit was already jumping in anticipation of being stimulated. But Toji kept his touch subtle, coasting over the smooth cotton of your dress.
“Can I see?” He then asks, looking up at you for permission and you gave it with another wordless gesture and his hands were immediately pushing up your dress.
Little by little, he gathered the flowy fabric in his fists until he was face to face with your masterpiece.
You gasp at the flow of cool air hitting your freshly waxed skin. It was a very vulnerable feeling, having Toji so close to your pussy snd just..looking. He inspects your wax lady’s handiwork in the brightly lit living room with keen eye. Only for a few seconds but it felt longer. When he licked his lips, heat pooled lower under his enamored gaze and it took everything in you not to just push his head into you.
It like he can read your thoughts though..
Lips as soft and gentle as they always were pressed tender kisses over your glistening mound and he worked them downward until he reaches the top of your lips.
With his eyes on your face, Toji extended his tongue to lick over your slit. Long and flat, he licks a slow stripe over your pussy. Over and over, watching the way your mouth opened to release a soft breathy moan.
The warmth of his tongue always made you gasp, and the hands still resting on his shoulder grips him.
“Ah..baby..” you gasp again when Toji’s long licks switch to short focused swipes over your clit, which was in full bloom and glistening for him.
“Mmhmm” he hums, alternating between flicking over your bud, swirling his tongue around it, and shaking his head for side to side to fan his tongue over. That combination always did you in and you had been moaning his praises shamelessly in the middle of the family room.
He hadnt even touched your clenching hole yet and you were already close.
Hell, when he put your leg over his shoulder, you know you were in for it. You were the one now holding up your dress as Toji ate your pussy off the bone, sucking your clit and making the lewdest, sloppiest sounds as he did.
“Oh shit..fuck..Toji…fuck, Toji wait..” you keened as he got deep into the zone, two fingers fucking into you now and his tongue strumming over your clit at an impressive speed. His eyes were drunk and his brows inverted, looking as if he was as deperate to make you cum as you needed to.
“Mmhmm..mmhmm” he finger fucked yiu faster, his other hand squeezing the fuck out of your asscheek. So hard that it stung a little but you know he needed to keep you from running from the intensity of your approaching orgasm.
You inhaled sharply to a rasp when it hits you, your head falling back and your nails digging into Toji’s shoulder.
His fingers plunged into you, milking your pulsing walls for every drop of cum as it drizzled down his wrist and your inner thighs, his flicking over your over sensitive clit until you were pushing his head away.
“Baby stop! Stopstopstop..” you whine and Toji only obeys after sucking your clit hard between his lips, releasing it with a resounding ‘pop’. You wince and prepare to scold him for not listening, but the way he’s on his feet and towering over you seconds later has your head spinning.
You blink up at him, barely having a chance to admire the way his lips and chin glistened from eating you, before Toji is stooping down and hoisting you over his shoulder.
“Toji! What are you..OW!” You yelp at the sting of his hand coming down against your bare ass cheek, your dress still gathered and bunched up at your waist. He effortlessly maneuvers through the furniture on his way towards the stairs.
“Shut up….wouldn’t hurt if you were wearing panties..” he grunts, marching up the steps with you in tow. Straight up caveman style.
Needless to say…
You would most definitely be booking with Vanessa again and coming home commando if it git you this type of treatment.

**********************************************************************
Alejandro was no stranger to big eaters. He’d been raised in a large family, had multiple squads, and now ran an entire army—he had seen folks pack away some food. That being said, the 141 seemed to be endless pits for beer and homecooked food. He watched Soap and Price go head-to-head on how many beers they could drink in five minutes, watched as the waitress brought out Ghost’s third plate of steak fajitas, and watched Gaz eat his weight in chorizo and beans. Even he and Rudy didn’t have room enough in their stomachs for that much food. They’d cleared about two plates themselves and more than a few beers before deciding it was best to hold off on more food.
He sat back in his seat, half tempted to unloop his belt and caught the eye of the woman who’d come along with them. It was almost as if she was Ghost and Soap put together, the silence of Ghost in friendly situations and the complete disregard for seriousness like Soap in dire circumstances. Wraith. They called her, a counterpart to Ghost it seemed. Alejandro had observed them in battle. Like a tag-team, they struck in fluid motion, mowing down enemies before they even realized the two had descended upon them. She, like Ghost, had an affinity for knives, but he realized that while the rest of them wore protective gear of all kinds, she only had a vest, kneepads, and a belt. No extra ammo pockets, no safety gear tucked away. Just a tri-edged knife and a carbine slung around her back was all she carried with her. And she was, exactly like a wraith, striking when least expected and gone with a whisper. Hell on heels. Deadly, and strikingly beautiful.
Alejandro gave her a friendly smile and she nodded her head going back to her food. Which is why he was so surprised. Wraith, had put away more food than anyone at the table. And more than a few piña coladas and tequila shots along with it. Yet, she seemed in perfect condition, sober and still hungry. She finished the plate and stood, turning around to the bartender as she said, “Oye, barman, dame dos Modelos, por favor.”
She walked around the table and sat next to Alejandro, propping an elbow in the table as she put her chin on her palm and stared at him; the bartender put the beers in front of them and she took hers, taking a sip of it. “Are you married, Alejandro?”
It reminded him of his sister asking. Ya estás casado, Ale? No te estás volviendo más joven, ya sabes. Necesitas establecerte y casarte con una buena mujer. He gave a humored chuckle and raise the bottle to his lips. “Unfortunately, Wraith, I haven’t had much time to find a wife.” He smiled at her. “What of you? Are you married?”
“Do I look like the type of woman who is married?” she gestured to herself. “I’ve literally eaten five plates of tacos, drank five margaritas, and had at least ten beers.” She blinked, deadpanning, “I outman most men who meet me and they very much so lose interest in me.”
Alejandro laughed. “Debes estar bromeando. Una mujer hermosa como tú tiene que tener muchos admiradores.”
She scoffed. “Beauty means nothing to a man when he feels like his manhood is being challenged.”
“That is because they are not real men,” he said. “Los hombres reales reconocen a las mujeres reales.”
Her eyes narrowed and suddenly Alejandro felt like the temperature had risen a few degrees around them as she finished the rest of her beer and leaned over, pointer finger swirling around the rim of his beer bottle. “And what of the real man before me?” she purred. “Does he recognize a real woman before him?”
He swallowed thickly feeling very fidgety in his seat, as if all eyes were on him. He cast a quick glance around. No one seemed to be listening to them, Price and Soap still going at it with new rounds, Gaz fighting sleep from fullness, and Ghost was in his own world enjoying authentic fajitas. It was just the two of them and he looked back at her; her expression was calm, waiting, so many things he couldn’t decipher hidden underneath the surface, but he saw her eyes. Saw the game in them, the chase, she was the huntress and he, her prey. One misstep and he was done for.
I do recognize you before me.
I want you.
We are as real as each other.
So many thoughts and all he could say was, “My mother would love you.”
Split second, her mask dropped in shock, then laughter peeled from her, shaking her shoulders as she laid her head on his shoulder, burying her face in his bicep and his cheeks reddened as she continued to laugh and pat at his thigh, until she sat up and wiped her eyes; she gave him a fond look and to ease his embarrassment, she said, “I would love to meet your mother.”
Alejandro melted, shoulders drooping as this woman, this Wraith, suddenly became so clear to him. She wasn’t a woman who could outman men (she really was), she was simply a woman. A good woman. The kind of woman he’d always wanted to settle down with. A good, strong woman.
She poked his forehead. “Careful there, amante, you’re gonna burn holes in me.”
“No puedo evitarlo. Haces que mi alma cante como nunca antes lo había hecho.”
“Well, aren’t you just a romantic,” she cooed and stood from her seat, holding out her hand; when he stared at it, she retracted and did it again. “Gonna take it or ya gonna keep staring at it like I’m not offering a dance?” she gave him a look. “Can you dance?”
“I can dance,” he shot back and stood, and she dragged him over to the jukebox in the corner of the bar. “What are we dancing to?”
“You’ll find out,” she murmured, staring at the list of songs before grinning as she shoved a few coins in and punched a button.
Drums echoed through the speakers followed by the strumming of a guitar; “Bailando?” Alejandro smirked. “Te gusta Enrique Iglesias?”
She kept to the beat of the music as they twirled and danced around each other. “I like a lot, Alejandro. Let me stick around and you might learn more.”
He spun her out, pulling her back in and she cocked a leg up around his hips, the hand that had hers dropped to hold her leg there (as if she needed the help), but he couldn’t help but squeeze the meat of her thigh. His free hand landed at her back as she bent backwards, all the way until she was crescent; he pulled her back up until her body was snug against his, lips almost brushing as he confessed, “Nada me encantaría más que te quedaras.”
“I’m not looking around for fun, y’know, Alejandro.”
He cocked her leg higher and stepped back, letting her stretch the step as he did and with dead seriousness, he replied, “Soy un hombre sencillo. No tengo tiempo para jugar ni con mi corazón ni con el tuyo. Sé lo que quiero.” Alejandro had her by her hips. “I want you.”
“Better men have hit their knees, Alejandro. And many men have tried for mine.”
He shook his head. “I will succeed where they have failed.”
“Cocky much?”
Alejandro pulled her up and spun her one last time with the beat, ending the song with one hand under her knee as she bent back again, and when she came up, he purred, “¿Para tu? Para siempre.”
She grinned like a madwoman and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Well, take me to church, I’ve finally found the man who will make a woman out of me.”
“If I make you any more of a woman, you’ll have no need for me.”
“Nonsense,” she muttered with a shake of her head. “I’ll always have a need for you to stand around and drive me wild with lust.”
“So long as I’m always needed, mi reina,” he replied with a grin, tipping forward to kiss her when,
“DAD! WRAITH’S GONNA KISS AN OLDER MAN! STOP HIM!”
They turned to see the entire 141 and half of Alejandro’s soldiers staring at them, half had their phones out. Silence bled the room and Alejandro did the only thing he could think of, bent down, picked her up at her knees and shouted, “Soldados, me voy a casar con esta mujer!”
His group erupted into shouts and the 141 stared in confusion until she said, “We’re gonna get married one day.”
“Tonight, if she lets me,” Alejandro added in.
“Don’t push your luck, handsome.” He looked up at her and she planted her elbows on his shoulders. “Ah, fuck it, Price marry us! I know you got ordained one day!”
“What.” Price blinked, rubbing at his eyes before he turned to Ghost. “Simon. When did this happen?”
Ghost shoved the last of the fajitas in his mouth and said, “They’ve been eye-fucking since we got here. Love at first sight.”
“We’re still here, y’know?” She called out and Ghost looked at her.
“Gonna tell me you haven’t been eye-fucking the Colonel since he shook your hand?” he scoffed. “You’ve been thinking of a way to get him in your pants since.”
“Is this true?” Alejandro asked and she looked down.
“If I say yes and I going to be in trouble?”
“Possibly.”
She waggled her brows and flirted, “Is it the sexy kind of trouble?”
“Yes.”
“Then absolutely, I’ve been trying to get you to fuck me ever since I got here,” she confessed without a lick of shame in her tone, expression, or body. “Wholeheartedly admit it. Can confirm. Aye-aye sir. Take me home, Colonel, do me wherever, however, and how ever long your heart desires.” She lowered her voice and breathed, “As good of a whore as I am in theory, I’m even better in practice.”
His eyes had darkened with every word, and she smirked as he heaved her up and over his shoulder. “Perdónenme hombres, es hora de que nos despidamos por la noche.”
“Aww, but I didn’t get to drink another piña colada,” she whined, yelping when his palm flattened against her ass with a crack. “HEY NOT IN PUBLIC! MY DAD’S HERE!”
Price watched them leave, the soldiers cheering and drinking to the Colonel’s newfound love, and he looked at his men. “Has my not-daughter always been a…” he cleared his throat and made a gesture.
“A whore?” Simon offered and nodded. “Big time. And believe me, I’ve met some. Wraith fits right in.”
Soap leaned over Price. “Watch how you talk about our sister. She can’t help being a whore. It’s who she is.” The two of them snickered as Price started to groan about going wrong somewhere.

Charly with an American gf during July fourth!!🦅🇺🇸
Traditions- Carlos Alcaraz
|WARNINGS:none!Just fluff
|AUTHOR'S NOTE:love our charlie boy!🇺🇸
|SUMMARY:Your boyfriend really likes the traditions of your country...
Your beloved boyfriend, was ready for a break after an intense season. The Fourth of July was the perfect opportunity, and you, had invited him to spend it in your hometown of Austin, Texas. He was eager to experience the holiday and explore the festivities with you.
You waited at the airport, holding a sign that read “Welcome, Charlie!” As soon as he saw you, Carlos’ face lit up, and he hurried over, pulling you into a tight hug.
“¡Hola, mi amor!” he exclaimed, spinning you around. “I’ve missed you so much!”
“Welcome to America, Charlie! Ready for some Fourth of July fun?” you asked, grinning.
“Absolutely! Let’s go!” His eyes sparkled with excitement as he took your hand.
The first stop was a popular food truck park. Charlie looked around in awe at the variety of options.
“This is incredible,” he said, scanning the menus. “What should I try first?”
“Definitely the brisket tacos,” you suggested. “And maybe a sweet tea to wash it down.”
Charlie eagerly followed your lead, and soon the two of you were enjoying a delicious, messy meal on a picnic bench. He took a big bite of his taco and his eyes widened.
“This is amazing!” he exclaimed. “Why don’t we have this in Spain?”
After lunch, you took him to a nearby lake for some kayaking. Charlie was game for anything, his competitive spirit shining through as he paddled ahead, challenging you to keep up. You laughed as he playfully splashed you, and the two of you raced across the water, enjoying the warm Texas sun.
“¡Vamos, cariño! You can’t beat me!” he teased, laughing.
“Oh, we’ll see about that, Charlie!” you retorted, paddling harder.
In the afternoon, you headed to a friend’s rooftop party downtown. Charlie mingled effortlessly, charming everyone with his stories and enthusiasm. He even joined a game of cornhole, quickly picking up the rules and showing off his athletic skills. You couldn’t help but smile, watching him fit in so seamlessly.
“Eres increíble, mi vida,” you whispered as he sank another shot.
He grinned, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “Gracias, mi amor. But you’re the one who makes everything perfect.”
As the sun began to set, you led Charlie to a perfect spot to watch the city’s fireworks. You spread out a blanket on the grass, and he lay down beside you, his head resting on your shoulder.
“Thank you for today,” he said softly, tracing patterns on your arm with his fingers. “I’ve had so much fun.”
“I’m glad,” you replied, squeezing his hand. “The night’s not over yet.”
The fireworks started with a loud boom, and Charlie’s eyes widened with wonder. The sky lit up with vibrant colors, and he turned to you, his face illuminated by the bursts of light.
“This is incredible,” he whispered.
You both lay there, watching the display in comfortable silence. When the finale came, Charlie sat up, pulling you close for a kiss as the sky exploded in a final blaze of color.
Later, back at your place, you sat on the porch with a couple of beers, talking about everything and nothing. Charlie leaned back in his chair, looking relaxed and happy.
“I could get used to this,” he said, smiling at you. “Austin, the Fourth of July, and especially you.”
You laughed. “I’m glad you had a good time. We’ll have to make this a tradition.”
Charlie nodded. “Absolutely. Here’s to many more.”
As the night grew late, you both headed inside, tired but content. Snuggling up on the couch, Charlie wrapped his arms around you, kissing your forehead.
“Te quiero mucho, mi vida,” he murmured, his voice filled with affection.
“I love you too, Charlie,” you replied, feeling the warmth of his embrace.Today was incredible and you couldn't wait to visit Spain with him and know his traditions; in that moment, you wish to stay with him forever because he's the only person that can make your days absolutely perfect.

Brain Curds are lightly edited flash fiction - practically first drafts - posted daily and sometimes written with the express intention of being terrible… but, you know, in an endearing way. This is a continuation of Brain Curd #69, so read that first. Please enjoy.
Gregory took the trays from the counter. He was sweating. He made his way back to the table as slowly as he could, hoping the thoughts might get bored and drift away. Or at the very least, he hoped the conversation could move on to something other than vague homoeroticism.
He set the trays down and the others dug in. He took his steak quesadilla from the pile and tore a piece off.
“So anyway,” Harry said, chewing on a nacho chip. “We need to decide right now if we’re gonna get an apartment together or live in a frat house.”
“Aren’t we supposed to live in the dorms the first year?” Gregory asked.
“Fuck that, man. I’m not eating that dining hall slop.” Harry squeezed the stacker into his mouth like a tube of toothpaste and began ripping the remaining tortilla to shreds with his teeth, swallowing it without chewing. He always ate like that.
“I hear initiation gets pretty intense at frats,” Mutt added, crunching on a taco. “My cousin had to have a whole keg of beer before they let him in.”
Gregory swallowed. “I don’t think I could drink that much at once.”
“I didn’t say they made him drink it…”
Gregory’s eyes went wide. “You mean…?”
“They stuck a tube up his butt.”
“Damn, bro.” Harry took a sip of Baja Blast. “I could never have anything up there. That’s the wrong way, man, wrong direction.”
“I bet I could do it,” Gregory said without thinking.
The others stared at him again.
“I mean, I’m not afraid of a challenge.”
“Yeah, okay,” Harry said dismissively. “You go ahead and let Samuel Adams fuck you in the ass, I’m gonna do something else. They gotta give you options, right? The point is to embarrass you, not to scar you for life.”
Mutt replied. “My dad told me that in Phi Beta Kappa, they used to make new initiates streak across the whole campus at midnight.”
“Damn, bro. Wouldn’t you freeze your balls off doing that?”
“Guess not, since I was born like five years later.”
“Unless you’re adopted.”
Mutt threw a chip at Harry. “Fuck off, man.”
“What? You don’t look anything like your parents, bro.”
“Greg-O,” Mutt banged on the table. “What do you think?”
“Hmmm. I never really thouuught about it…”
“He looks like he’s from Iceland or some shit, right?”
“No I don’t!”
“Yeah, Harry, I don’t think Mutt’s adopted. Him and his dad both have the same chiseled, cleft chin.”
Mutt blew raspberries Harry’s way. “Told you, dumbass.”
“Whatever.”
“You know, uh…” Gregory hesitated. “My father always told me that to get into his fraternity, he had to win a tournament.”
“What kind of tournament?” Harry asked, suspicious.
“Gay Chicken.”
Harry choked on his soda. “What?”
“And it was really involved, too. Like, one match went on for a whole day. They had to go to class and everything.”
“Are you telling me your dad made out with another dude in the middle of a fucking psychology class?”
“Pretty much.” Gregory took a bite of chalupa. “He won, though.”
“I wouldn’t want to go up against you in a game of Gay Chicken, man. I bet it’s in your genetics or some shit.”
“You’re a fucking baby, Harry.” Mutt took a Cinnabon Delight from the box. “I bet I could win a game of Gay Chicken against anyone.”
Harry scratched his head. “Is that something you should be bragging about?”
Mutt took a bite of his Cinnabon Delight. The creamy filling leaked out the other side and landed on his chest. He made eye contact with Gregory and refused to break it. This, Gregory recognized, was a challenge. And he was determined to win. He practically leapt across the table to lick it off Mutt’s chest and the two began passionately making out. Harry looked like he was going to throw up.
The Taco Bell workers begged for them to stop, but it was no use. Both were determined to win, and both had foolproof methods which sadly are likely to get this blog in trouble if I were to go into too much detail. Some say Gregory and Mutt are still playing Gay Chicken to this very day. Though it’s mostly Harry who says so.

Thinking funny mental anguish is the way to go, but...
What do you think their paths look like in a dating sim? I want to imagine this video game!
Oh fun I get to make my own Dream Daddy sim 😜
Kirollis
Pros: -Is much softer and nicer to potential romantic partners. Boarder-lining genuinely romantic -Actually funny -Surprisingly understanding -Quick witted & charming -Will defend your honor and hold the door for you
Cons: -Will make no apologizes for prioritizing his daughter -Rough around the edges -Serious late game commitment issues -Often in dangerous situations -Will shamelessly enjoy jump scaring you
Path: Hard Don’t let the trickster fool you, easy in the honeymoon phase shared affection is the way to go. It’s late game that he becomes difficult, always hard to read and never laying his cards on the table. However navigating his commitment issues is perhaps the worst part, resulting in a lot of time and commitment becoming fruitless when things become a little too serious.
Tips: Understanding, compassion, and unshared passions go a long way with this one.
Korrinth
Pros: -… -…. -…. -She’s pretty? -Will kill spiders on her own
Cons: -Often confrontational -Littered with social landmines waiting to be stepped on -Prone to using unshared affections to get what she wants -Broken sense of self -She’s probably going to cheat on you
Path: EXTREME Often compared to a rose for her beauty and thorny personality, Korrinth actually abstains from actively dating. Right out the gate the success rate is lower the 5%. Friendship is required before the dating option is even unlocked, which in and of itself is a hefty task. It’s more then likely she’s tolerating you, rather then actual interest. She’s more interested what you can give her. Though, the rare ones she likes do have a slim shot at best, they will find themselves navigating without a map on a perilous trail of trauma and projection.
Tips: Save yourself some anguish and just ask to see her boobs or something
Soriya
Pros: -Genuinely delightful to be around -Has a good head on her shoulders -Easy going -A good communicator -The hottest thing since sliced bread -She will challenge your world view
Cons: -A bit of an airhead -Competitive -Will try and analyze your trauma unprompted -Has a desire/need to 'fix' others -Travels a lot, nor likes to compromise on it -She will challenge your world view
Path: EZ (Like so easy I didnt have to spell it out) Really, at the end of the day, Soriya doesn't need a whole lot to be happy. Some beach weather, a beer, a pretty sunset, thats her happy place. Just feed her tacos and call her pretty and she will be your faithful golden retriever. Without much experience in long-term relationships, she has very little in the way of expectations. The only caveat to this beach queen is that she has a travel bug, and she will ditch to scratch it. Either you're coming with her on adventures or you're going to hear all about them later.
Tips: Soriya's entire life is one big go with the flow. All you have to do is be yourself and she'll do the rest. There's very little in the world she can't find something to like about. That includes people too!
I hope this informs your decision @luck-and-larceny ;P

March - Road Trip
Pairing: Jason Hayes x Mandy Ellis
Warnings: Deployments, Careers, Pregnancy
Words: 3830
Summary: What happened in J-Bad doesn't stay in J-Bad. And a back-to-school road trip.
In a Discord group I belong to, there was a post for a "Year of the OTP" challenge for 2023.
Disclaimer: This is fanfic work; no money is being made from this story. All recognizable characters belong to their respective creative authors, studios or producers.
Exhaustion curses through Mandy’s veins as she enters the front door. Dropping her duffle bag at the base of the stairs, she tosses her keys into the bowl on the entryway table. Slowly, she makes her way to the kitchen, where she grabs a tall glass from a cabinet and fills it with water from the dispenser in the refrigerator door. Gingerly she sips the water.
The last five months have been a world win. First, she went to J-Bad with Bravo team. A week before Bravo’s deployment ended, she and Jason crossed a line. Afterward, they both agreed what happens in J-Bad stays in J-Bad. Then when the team returned home to Va Beach, the CIA redirected her to Turkey. It was supposed to have been a two-week stint; instead, it lasted eight long weeks. But, now, she was finally home.
She had been able to stay in touch with members of Bravo during her time in Turkey. She knew Jason had stepped down as Bravo 1 when the two-week post-deployment leave was over. She also knew Bravo was having a challenging adjustment period without Jason at the helm. During their last Skype call, they agreed to meet for lunch at the Taco Truck for burritos, a post-deployment tradition.
Mandy pulls into a parking spot at the food truck plaza. Scanning the picnic benches, she spots Jason sitting by the La Esquinita Taco Truck. As Mandy approaches Jason, seeing two paper plates with burritos and a couple of beers waiting on the table. Jason gets up from his seat when she is a few feet away; he pulls her into a tight embrace when she is close. Together they sit down, pick up their burritos and touch them. They each take a bite out of their burritos. After a few bites in, Mandy puts down the burrito; taking a few deep breaths, she hopes the sudden nausea will dissipate. But she rushes from the table to a nearby trash can when it doesn't. Mandy makes it just in time to hunch over, retching into the can. A few minutes later, she feels a large warm hand rubbing circles on her back. He hands her some napkins and a bottle of water when she straightens. When she is sure nothing else will come up, she walks back to the table, Jason following behind her. Noting that her skin is taking a green hue, Jason picks up the plates of food and tosses them in the trash. Sitting across from her, he watches her sip from the bottle.
“You feeling better?” Jason asks, concern in his voice.
Mandy smiles, “Yeah, I’m ok. Just tired. It’s been a long few months.”
“Will you get some downtime before coming back to Bravo?”
I won’t be coming back. I’ve tendered my resignation. The biggest reason is that my demons are catching up with me.”
“I thought we agreed, what happens in J-Bad, stays in J-Bad,” Jason states definitively.
“So, as always. Ignore and Override?” Mandy questions.
“Yes, Ignore and Override. That’s how we get through this.”
“I…Can’t do this anymore. It’s catching up with me.” Mandy bites out.
“What about the commitment to serve?”
“Until when Jason? All in, all the time. It doesn’t leave room for the people we care for or us.”
“Yeah, right. What are you gonna do? You gonna sit at home and play Mortal Kombat? Cause that’s not what we do.” He insists.
Mandy takes a sip from her water bottle, collecting her thoughts for a second. “We just cut the head off a snake. Tomorrow another snake is gonna slither out from some other fucking rock, and on and on. It’s never going to Fucking end….”
Jason chimes in, “You’re gonna find them. I’m gonna kill the. It’s that simple. If we don't do it, who’s gonna do it, Mandy?”
Mand growls, “Someone else. People were doing this job before us, and there will be people doing this long after we are gone. This fight is never ending, so there will always be someone there to do that. That doesn't mean it has to be us.”
Jason laughs, “Really? Someone else? You’ve been in this way too long to believe you’re comfortable with that answer.”
“You’re right, But going to have to learn to be comfortable with it.”
“Yeah?” Jason questions with a raised eyebrow.
“I was a teenager when I got in. We’d just been hit. The path ahead seemed so clear and so right, and twenty years later, all the loss, all the bloodshed. I…CAN’T…DO…THIS…ANYMORE!”
“Whoa,” Jason states, holding both hands up in surrender. When he sees Mandy has calmed again, he continues, “I get that you’ve hit some bumps over the last year or so. But this can’t have been the only time you’ve had some ops go bad. So, what else am I missing? Because this is who you are. It’s who we are.”
“It’s not who I want to be anymore,” Mandy replies, an errant tear escaping and streaking down her cheek as she sniffles.
“Ok, then, who do you want to be, Mandy? Tell me.”
“I don’t have all the answers, Jason. But I have to do this now.”
“What do you mean you have to do this now?”
“If I don’t do this now, if I don’t, walk away now. I’m gonna lose myself forever. And if I stay, you’re gonna talk me out of it. I have too much at stake. I’m not going to let that happen.”
“What the fuck could possibly be so important?” Jason asks, his voice laced with frustration.
Mandy lets out a tired sigh, “This isn’t how I wanted to tell you. But I’m pregnant.”
Jason sits there quietly, staring at her. Not sure he’d heard her correctly, “Are you sure?”
Mandy chuckles, “Yeah, I’m sure. However, the positive pregnancy test, all-day sickness, and food aversion solidified my suspicions. So, it seems what happened in J-Bad came home with us… Also, to be clear, I’m having this baby, Jason. I’m leaving how involved you want to be up to you.”
“That’s my kid. I’m not going anywhere. Have you been to a doctor?”
“I have, I’m about eleven weeks along, and everything looks good on the ultrasound.” Reaching into her purse, she pulls an image out and slides it across the picnic table to him. “Here is a copy of the ultrasound picture for you.”
Jason picks it up carefully, immediately recognizing that the blob in the center of the image is their child. With that realization, he lets out a pained groan.
“What?” Mandy asks, worried.
“I’m gonna have to tell Emma and Mickey…I’m gonna have to tell my teenage kids they are going to get a younger sibling. This is not gonna be a fun conversation. Especially as I gave Emma a refresher safe sex speech before the deployment.”
Mandy tries to stave off a chuckle that quickly develops into a full-body laugh, “You master chief gave Emnma a safe sex speech?”
“Yuck it up. Cause I’m not telling the kids by myself. You’re doing this with me.”
Mandy abruptly stops laughing. “What are you talkin’ about?”
“You and me,” he states, pointing at each of them for emphasis, “are a team. I have your back; you have mine. It’s why we work so well together. Why mess with what works?”
“Fine, but you’re telling Bravo Team on your own. Cause while you’re telling them, I’ll be telling Naima. I’m gonna need to talk to someone who’s not only done this before but has done this with a tier-one operator. Knowing how you guys operate, standard rules probably don't apply.”
Jason smirks at, “Sure. You got yourself a deal.” He then takes a swig of his beer, “I have the long weekend off. Do you want to join the kids and me on a road trip?”
“As long as the kids don’t mind, I’d love to join you. When are you leaving?”
“As soon as you’re packed. We planned to hit the road once we finished your re-entry lunch.” Jason admits.
After lunch, Jason followed Mandy home, where she packed a weekend bag before piling into Jason’s Truck and heading to his apartment. She noted a couple of potted plants by his front door when they pulled up. Getting out, they were greeted a the front door by Emma. Emma grins, stepping forward to hug Mandy, “Please tell me you’re joining us on the road trip?”
Mandy smiles, returning Emma’s hug. “Yeah, I’ll be joining you guys. So where is this trip to? Your dad didn’t tell me.”
Emma links her arm with Mandy and guides her into the kitchenette, where Mickey is packing a cooler.
Jason follows behind them, “so, are we ready to go?”
“Yeah, bags are by the front door. And the cooler is backed.” Mickey states.
“Alright, help me get everything in the back of the truck,” Jason asks his son. “Everyone, hit the head before we get on the road.” He adds as he leaves the room.
“Dad,” Emma and Mickey both groan.
Mandy just chuckles, watching the family go. Subconsciously she places a hand on her abdomen, this is her child’s family, and she can’t help but smile at that.
Emma caught Mandy’s movement, unsure if she should articulate the burning question; instead, she answered Mandy’s earlier one. “We are heading up to Windham, New York. We’re driving to drop Mickey off at Brighton Academy, his boarding school. Then you and Dad will drop me off at Tish.” Emma explained.
Mandy chuckles as she follows Emma out. Jason honks the horn of the truck as Emma locks the door. Father and son are waiting on them. Emma climbs in the back seat, joining Mickey while Mandy climbs into the passenger seat.
“So, are we driving straight through or stopping for the night when you get tired?” She asks Jason teasingly.
Mickey and Emma started chuckling before Jason could form a response.
“Picking on me already? Wow, why did I ask you to join us again?” He asks Mandy with a wink.
Mandy grins, folds her hands under her chin, and flutters her eyelashes, “Because you like me.”
“Cute,” Jason gripes. “We’re stopping for the night in Philly.”
“Grandma and gramps are expecting us for dinner,” Mickey chimes in.
“Oh,” Mandy murmurs, unsure if she’s ready to meet the parents, as it were. Granted, she’d met Linda Hayes once shortly after Alana’s death.
Meanwhile, Emma links the Spotify app on her phone with the truck’s sound system and Bon Jovi’s ‘Blaze of Glory.’ Within minutes all three members of the Hayes family are singing along enthusiastically. Mandy shakes her head in amusement.
“Come on, Mandy! You have to sing along too!” Emma exclaims from her seat.
After some encouragement from Mickey and Jason, Mandy joins in, and the quartet sings several songs together. Three hours in, they stop to refuel on gas and take a bathroom break.
Once he’s refueled the truck, Jason pulls into a space on the side of the gas station. Nearby is a small grass field that Mickey runs off with Emma’s Reese's peanut butter cups. She chases after him yelling, “Give them back, Mickey!”
Mandy laughs, shaking her head as Jason lowers the tailgate on the back of his truck. Together they take a seat watching the two teens chase each other.
“You ok?” Jason asks, noticing how quiet Mandy has become.
“Yeah, it just hit me earlier. It’s not just us. But those two,” Mandy nods to the teens, “will be this baby’s family.”
“They’ll be your family too, not just the babys’,” Jason tells her, giving her shoulder a slight nudge with his own.
“I’ve told you about my family history; since my mom died, I’ve had no family, which is daunting. Not to mention, we didn't exactly have a great relationship before she died.”
“You’ve interrogated terrorists. Seen some of the worst of humanity. My kids are harmless by comparison.”
“What about your parents? I wasn't exactly prepared for this road trip to include that. Not to mention do they know I’m coming to dinner?”
Jason looks at her sheepishly, “My mom will be happy to get another grandkid to love and spoil. My dad…” Jason shrugs his shoulders. “After Mickey and I loaded the last things in the truck, I called my mom, so she knows you’re with us.”
“Speaking of Mickey and Emma, when do you plan on telling them about the baby?”
Jason chuckles, “How Emma’s been watching you, I think she suspects something.”
“What do you mean?” Many asks apprehensively.
Grinning, “You’ve been distracted in your own head. That’s understandable... But that's not normal. You’ve been placing your hand on your stomach a lot.”
“Oh,” Mandy replies, not realizing how out of character she’s acted. Mandy lays her head on his shoulder and yawns. The excitement of the day catching up with her.
“Look, why don’t I tell them before we hit the road? Your nerves look frayed, and you’re obviously tired. Get in the truck and take a nap. I’ll wake you when we hit the outskirts of Philly.” Jason suggested.
Mandy agrees with a slight nod of her head. He places his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close. She nestles her head into his shoulder, letting his inherent warmth seep in, the smell of his aftershave soothing her.
Leaning down, he places a soft kiss against her temple, “It’s gonna be alright.”
Caught in their own bubble, neither adult notices the teens watching them from the grassy field. Several minutes go by, then Mandy pulls away slowly. Jason helps her down from the tailgate.
Jason watches Mandy climb into the truck before jogging over to his kids. He snatches the last Reese’s peanut butter cup from Mickey’s hand and pops it into his mouth. Both kids simultaneously yelling, “Hey!”
“Are we getting back on the road, dad?” Mickey asks.
“In a bit, but I need to talk to you about something. Jason then points to some picnic tables. The trio saunter to the table, each taking a seat.
“What’s up, dad? Is this about Mandy?” Emma asks, getting straight to the point.
Jason claps his hands together and shakes his head, “I told Mandy that you were suspicious of something being up.”
“So something is going on?” Emma pushes, not allowing Jason any slack.
“Are you guys dating?” Mickey asks, finally joining Emma with the questions.
“Yes, something is going on. No, Mandy and I aren't dating. I’m not sure what we’re doing.” Jason finishes with a sigh taking a hand to rub the back of his neck.
“Well, you two are something, or you wouldn't have brought her on the road trip?” Emma nudges.
“Especially since we’re stopping at Grandma and Grandpa’s house for dinner.” Mickey tosses in.
“That’s all true….” Jason pauses, unsure how to continue.
Seeing her father struggle for words, Emma takes pity on him and asks, “Is Mandy pregnant? Are we getting a sibling?” She smirks at him.
“Emma!” Mickey exclaims at her questions.
“Yeah, Mandy’s pregnant. The baby’s mine. So, in roughly six and a half months, you’ll get a baby brother or sister.” Jason admits.
“Umm, weren’t you the one giving Emma the safe sex speech before your last deployment?” Mickey can't help but ask.
Jason glares at his son. But before he can respond, Emma chimes in.
“Wait! That means she’s like three months pregnant. Three months ago, you were still in J-Bad. You two hooked up on deployment?” She pauses for a moment. “Isn’t that against the rules, Master Chief Hayes?” She asks teasingly, wanting to get a little revenge.
Jason groans, “Enough. I’m not gonna get into the details of what happened between Mandy and me in J-Bad.”
“UGH!” Mickey exclaims a look of disgust on his face.
“Dad, trust me, we don't want the details of how our sibling was conceived,” she shudders. She briefly looks at her brother before continuing. “We love you, dad, and as long as you’re happy, that's all we want. It seems like Mandy and this baby could be a chance for you to be happy. We want that for you.”
“Dad, mom’s been gone, and she would want you to be happy. That’s all she ever wanted for us. Plus, with you stepping down from actively deploying with Bravo Team, you’ll be able to be around more and help Mandy. I know you have regretted being deployed so much when we were little. You have another chance to do things differently.” Mickey adds.
In the truck, Mandy grabbed Jason’s discarded Flyers hoodie and folded it into a pillow. She didn't wake up when the others came back. The kids put on their headphones and returned to their electronic devices while Jason pulled back onto the road.
Many startles awake to a hand gently nudging her shoulder. Stretching languidly in her seat, she then curls back in on herself. Pulling the hoodie from where it's wedged, she pulls it tightly around herself like a shield as a source of warmth and comfort.
“We’re about twenty minutes from my folk's places,” Jason advises as he changes lanes to get off at the next exit.
“Ok,” Mandy mumbles as she tries to stifle a yawn.
Sitting up, she lowers the visor, wincing when she sees her reflection in the mirror. Her hair had come out of its loose ponytail and now stood in a static halo. She notes that the bags under her eyes are less pronounced but remain present. The exhaustion from deployment, the last few weeks on extra assignment, and the changes going through her body due to the pregnancy still taking their toll on her body.
In the mirror, Mandy sees Emman hand her a brush, “thanks,” she tells her, a wane smile on her face.
Running the brush through her hair Mandy combs out the tangles and pulls it back into a ponytail. Turning in her seat, she hands the brush back to Emma, “thanks,” she states again, this time the smile on her face reaching her eyes.
“No problem, we girls got to stick together,” Emma replies, stowing the brush in her bag. “Speaking of, when do we find out if we’re getting a little brother or sister? Personally, I’m hoping it's a girl. One stinky little brother is more than enough.”
“Hey!” Mickey yells with indignation, “I don't stink!”
“Your hockey duffle bag tells a different tale,” Emma insists, reaching and ruffling his hair while he tries to swat away her hand.
“Knock it off, you two.” Jason grumps from the driver's seat, used to their antics.
Uncontrollable laughter bubbles up from Mandy’s core; she tries to suppress it. Her body shakes for a moment and then bursts out. Causing the others to laugh with her.
“The doctor plan on doing an anatomy scan around the time I reach eighteen to twenty weeks, so as long as the baby cooperates, we should find out its gender then. I’m roughly eleven weeks now, so it's still a little ways off.”
“That’s so cool. Will you send us pics and keep us updated?” Mickey asked, full of excitement and curiosity.
“Sure. I can do that.”
Dinner had been a tense and painful affair. It only worsened after she declined the glass of wine with dinner. She had picked at her meal, the tension making her nausea worse. Eventually, she had to excuse herself as the little she ate didn't sit well.
Jason had been in a heated argument with his father. When she returned to the table, which only worsened when Jason revealed her pregnancy, his mother sat in stunned silence as his father abruptly stood and stormed off.
The kids cleared the table and said their goodbyes; now, the quartet was back in the truck heading toward Windham. Mandy reached over the center council, lacing her fingers with Jason’s give them a squeeze in support.
The rest of the drive to Windham was quiet; everyone was lost in their thoughts. When they arrive at Mickey’s school, they get out of the truck; Jason unloads his bags from the truck bed as Emma hugs Mickey tightly.
Mickey then comes over to Mandy, giving her a shy smile. He also offers Mandy a tight hug. “I want to be in the loop. Will you please keep me updated on what's happening?”
As she steps back, Mandy grins, “Of course.” She then unlocks her cell and hands it to him, “Add your contact info.” Mickey grabs and quickly enters his info, But instead of giving it back to Mandy, he hands it to Emma, who also adds her information.
Last, Mickey heads over to Jason. Neither says anything as Jason pulls Mickey into a tight, crushing embrace. Mickey hugs him back just as fiercely. They stay in that position for a moment before pulling apart. Grabbing his duffles, Mickey says “Bye” to everyone before heading for his dorm room.
Climbing in the truck, Emma rests in the back seat and falls asleep within minutes. Getting back on the road, Mandy leans back in her seat and watches Jason. After a few minutes, he glances in her direction, “Why are you staring.?”
“Just thinking about today. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster. How are you holding up?” Mandy asks again as she laces her hand with his on the center console.
“Surprisingly, I’m ok. Yes, you shocked me with your lunchtime revelations. But, us having a kid is not a bad thing, though I can't say I’m looking forward to the ribbing from the guys.” He chuckles, and Mandy sputters to suppress her laugh. “I got to spend time with the kids, and they took the news of getting another sibling well, so that's a win. My mom is excited about getting another grandbaby to spoil. As for my old man, we’ve been butting heads since I was in high school and decided to enlist. I’m sorry for what he said to you and that you had to witness the drama.”
“I’m sorry for causing the drama.”
“That wasn't on you, and had you not been there, we would have gotten into it over something else. He and I don't do well together in the same house, let alone the same room.”
They continue to talk over things for the next two and a half hours, making their way into New York City. Jason mutters a few choice curses under his breath. Emma wakes as Jason puts the truck into Park. It’s almost midnight when he pulls her bags from the truck bed.
Mandy and Emma hug as they say goodbye, the young woman also asking to be updated on all things pregnancy. Mandy steps back, giving father and daughter a moment. She, in turn, pulls out her cell phone and starts looking for a decent hotel where they can sleep for the night.

Taco Tuesday Humor: Best Beer Taco Sayings to Share
"Beer Taco Food Saying Funny" likely refers to a humorous phrase or slogan that combines the beloved trio of beer, tacos, and witty wordplay. This concept taps into the popular culture surrounding casual dining and drinking, often seen on t-shirts, posters, or social media memes.
Buy now:19.95$
Such sayings might playfully prioritize beer and tacos over other life aspects, like "Will work for beer and tacos" or "Beer + Tacos = Happiness." They could also humorously twist common phrases, such as "Keep calm and eat tacos (with beer)" or "I'm on a seafood diet: I see food, I eat it – especially if it's tacos and beer."
These funny sayings often resonate with food and drink enthusiasts who appreciate a laid-back lifestyle and don't take themselves too seriously. They celebrate the simple pleasures of enjoying a cold beer with a tasty taco, often implying that this combination is a cure-all for life's problems.

The humor in these sayings typically stems from their relatability and the way they elevate everyday food and drink to an exaggerated level of importance, creating a light-hearted, feel-good vibe that many find entertaining and shareable.
Mexican Cinco de Mayo 2020 marked a unique celebration of this annual festival, significantly impacted by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Traditionally commemorating the Mexican army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, the holiday has evolved into a wider celebration of Mexican-American culture, particularly in the United States.

In 2020, however, the usual vibrant parades, public gatherings, and restaurant festivities were largely replaced by virtual events and at-home celebrations. Many people adapted by hosting online parties, cooking traditional Mexican dishes at home, and participating in virtual concerts or cultural presentations.
Restaurants and bars, typically bustling on this day, pivoted to offering special takeout menus and cocktail kits for at-home enjoyment. Some cities organized car parades or socially distanced events to maintain the spirit of the celebration while adhering to safety guidelines.

Despite the challenges, Cinco de Mayo 2020 demonstrated the resilience and creativity of communities in honoring cultural traditions. It also highlighted the importance of Mexican-American contributions to society, even as the pandemic underscored existing social and economic disparities affecting many in this community.

Displeased
9/24/24
word vomit emotional sickness
regurgitated by disappointed
mindless fingertips.
The years that passed
have proven difficult
filled with unforeseeable challenges
aimed towards alienating families and ostracizing siblings.
with a tool box, filled with history of childhood memories.
filled with false claims of knowing better.
‘until you can see the truth’
‘I hope you can be happy someday….’
I continue, and continue….
Trying to remain calm and optimistic
seems hopeless.
my blood, my kin, my family, my elders…
have seemingly taught me mislead lessons.
I have not followed their intended guidance
I have become my own person.
something that I am not ready for, in their eyes.
How it feels,
being ostracized and belittled.
to continuously hear the lies
the mistold ‘truth’
how i attack how I hurt how I ….
Infront of my face and behind my back.
infront of my daughter and wife —---- when I am not there,
between them and my mother and father,
to my colleagues and acquaintances.
to my daughters educators and those
supporting her
Throughout her preadolescent life.
the upsetting actualization
of how low and sad
this battle has turned our family has kept me up
too many nights now.
I have
time and time proven
that I have wanted to move on,
Being condemned for being
‘the bigger man’.
seems to do little in the grand scheme of things.
as countless times
actions speak against them
over and over.
whether it be battling me,
their other family members,
broken or nuclear,
strangers…
they seem to only win,
when pity is shared…
when they crawl to their parents,
even in their old age…
there are no goals or focus for being
selfless individuals.
upstanding citizens,
perfect parents,
for all,
step children or not.
I have remained at a loss,
as I have tried to separate myself
from the toxicity.
from the horrible comments
from her.
as parents continue to sweep it under the rug
you continue to enable the behavoir
due to fear.
as she has learned and continuously shown
as her only method of success
since middle school,
even earlier…
stand your ground.
she has taken advantage of you
time
and time again.
her break ups and needing somewhere to overstay,
her wedding and covid ultimatums,
her birth and again her covid ultimatums….
do I need continue.
Or am I bringing up too much from the past….
again.
be strong,
Stand your ground.
-as a unit.
Or;
be honest towards me.
tell me how you feel,
bout me, bout everything.
because it doesn't matter,
we are in your family,
but we both have started new families of our own,
ones I hoped to share with my parents and sister,
unfortunately I am unable,
I will not sacrifice my families mental health anymore
as the women have sabotaged any opportunity to move forward.
as they have hurt and said things that are unable to come back from,
Time and time again.
Despite being reminded
The severity of their actions and words.
Sticks and stones may break bones,
But words are history and will be bled on paper
Until dissolved by those ignorant
Of the lessons they may teach.

Wrote this while drinking in my living room with my halloween lights illuminating the room. The temperature is in the high 60’s. I went to belaire with my wife and son for taco tuesday. I quit smoking weed a month ago and have steadily been drinking more and more every night as I tell myself I need something. I wrote this in the past hour as all my thoughts have been consuming me. I was happy to finish a 2 beers while writing this as it heped me relax my thoughts. I put everything I was thinking down and edited as I went on and reread. The over all message of this poem is that I Wsh my parents would see how hard I try to be the better man regardless of what I continuously go through. I continuously remind everyone of my difficult managing my anger. Most recently I asked my sister to stop and drop a certain topic until I was read to talk about it (her holding and taking a picture of jaxon even though brittany was there and did not want the picture to take place (both parties were being extra in my opinion but at the end of the day jax is brits child….)I messaged and talked to hannah about this instance and she blew up even though I requested we did not continue further. She kept pushing and even said ‘ I hope you can be happy someday’ insinuating my wife and I weren’t happy… “when you see the truth I will be here for you”... FUCK YOU. I hope if I die earlier than her she sees this and can experience how it made me feel without being able to fix it because thats how she always made any issue I had feel…. No light at the end of any tunnel…. Rude selfish and plain old bitchy. Just Like our ‘ex’ aunt.

Day 207: Thursday July 25, 2024 - "The Roads Home"
The Subi-Stallion launched off on its inaugural road trip today, as soon as I aced a webinar and was done with work. Got all the last things done around the house, and unwound on that open road, heading East into New Mexico, and towards Hatch. I stopped in a roadside taco shop for some hatched up Carne Asada and stopped at a farmers stand to get my mom a rope of chillis and some salsa. An idea was hatched to stop and get a souvenir and a six pack of beer for my parents for every state I pass through along the way. It was a fun little side challenge as the blue highway ramble, launched off. Spent the night in Albuquerque for work before really getting started, but enjoy that drive north along the Rio Grande, as I always do, as the sun went down oin the first leg of the drive.
Song: James Cousins - Leave The Lights On

Adventures in Los Angeles: A Traveler’s Journey!
When you think of Los Angeles, what comes to mind? For many, it’s Hollywood’s glitz and glamour. For me, it’s the promise of endless adventures. From bustling streets to serene beaches, LA offers a bit of everything. Let me take you on a journey through my adventures in Los Angeles, where every corner hides a story.
Problem: The Challenge of Finding True Adventure
Traveling to a city as vast and diverse as Los Angeles can be overwhelming. With a population of nearly 4 million, the sheer number of options can leave you unsure of where to start. You might wonder: How do I find authentic experiences that go beyond the usual tourist traps? I faced the same dilemma. I wanted to dive deep into LA’s vibrant culture and explore its hidden gems, but where to begin?
Agitation: The Struggle for Genuine Experiences
My first few days in LA were chaotic. I hit the famous spots – the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, and Santa Monica Pier. Don’t get me wrong, these places are iconic for a reason, but they didn’t satisfy my craving for adventure. I needed more. I needed to feel the city’s pulse and discover its heart.
The traffic was relentless, the crowds were overwhelming, and I felt lost in the sea of tourists. Was I just another visitor ticking off a checklist? I didn’t want my trip to LA to be a series of Instagram shots with no real connection to the city.
Solution: Discovering Real Adventures in LA
Determined to uncover the real Los Angeles, I decided to venture off the beaten path. Here’s how my journey unfolded:
Hiking in Griffith Park: With over 4,300 acres, Griffith Park is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. I started my day early and tackled the trail to the Griffith Observatory. The hike was challenging but rewarding. The view from the top, overlooking the city and the iconic Hollywood Sign, was breathtaking. I felt a sense of accomplishment and a deeper connection to the city.
Exploring the Arts District: The Arts District in Downtown LA is a vibrant hub of creativity. I spent hours wandering through streets adorned with colorful murals and visiting eclectic galleries. I even stumbled upon a local brewery, Angel City Brewery, where I enjoyed a refreshing craft beer. This area was a testament to LA’s thriving art scene and the passionate artists behind it.
Cycling along the Venice Beach Boardwalk: Renting a bike and cruising along the Venice Beach Boardwalk was a highlight. The 3-mile stretch is filled with street performers, vendors, and skateboarders showing off their skills at the famous Venice Skatepark. It was lively, energetic, and quintessentially LA.
Stargazing at the Griffith Observatory: At night, I returned to the Griffith Observatory. The planetarium shows were fascinating, and peering through the telescopes at the night sky was a humbling experience. It reminded me of the vastness of the universe and how small we all are.
Savoring Food at Grand Central Market: With over 100 years of history, Grand Central Market in Downtown LA is a food lover’s paradise. I indulged in mouthwatering tacos from Villa Moreliana and savored a fresh fruit juice from Press Brothers. The market’s vibrant atmosphere and diverse food offerings were a feast for the senses.
Conclusion: A City of Endless Adventures
My adventures in Los Angeles taught me that the city’s true essence lies in its diversity and the unique experiences it offers. From hiking trails and artsy neighborhoods to bustling markets and scenic bike rides, LA is a city where every moment holds the potential for adventure. So, if you’re planning a trip to Los Angeles, don’t just follow the crowd. Seek out your own path, embrace the unexpected, and create your own stories. Trust me, LA won’t disappoint.
If you're looking for more inspiration, check out my list of Top 10 Adventures in Los Angeles to ensure you don’t miss out on any must-see spots.

Stamp Proper Foods, 4500 Los Feliz Blvd, Ste C, Los Angeles (Los Feliz), CA 90027
I’ve passed by Stamp Proper Foods so many times…always wondered about it and I finally went. It’s not as hip or bougie as I expected for a place in Los Feliz. The focus is on healthy food, including many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The menu is extensive; it’s comfort food but healthy. They serve organic coffee from LA’s Groundworks.
They have a case of pastries, including cookies, croissants, brownies, and banana bread. Some items are vegan, some gluten-free, some vegan and gluten-free.
The menu includes waffles, French toast, pancakes, breakfast burritos, fancy toasts, omelettes, quesadillas, tacos, salads, wraps, sandwiches, soups, burgers, gluten-free pasta, and desserts. They have a full espresso bar, wine, beer, and smoothies. Breakfast is served all day. Happy hour with alcoholic drink specials is from 3 PM – 5:30 PM.
Vegan breakfast burrito with drip coffee ($17): The burrito is $16 a la carte, so the breakfast special is a good deal. The burrito was filling and had mashed non-gmo tofu, roasted potatoes cubes, spinach, red bell peppers, mushrooms, homemade guacamole and black beans. The whole wheat tortilla was warmed on the grill. It was on the wet side and was like a tofu scramble with veggies. The tofu was seasoned with a spicy yellow curry spice blend. The house salsa looked like tomato puree but tasted better than it looked. The burrito was solid but not special.
Drip coffee: Pretty bitter
The place is fairly large with indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. Order at the counter and get a number. They’ll bring your food to the table. The décor is comfortable with communal tables and some smaller tables, framed pictures of Hollywood celebrities (with autographs from Steven Spielberg and Dustin Hoffman).
They have stamp (frequent buyer) cards for coffee drinks. Yes, they have free wi-fi and laptop campers. Parking can be challenging in the area. They have parking but it’s valet only.
3.5 out of 5 stars

Bite-sized Bliss: Navigating the Trends in Food and Beverage
Introduction:
In a world where culinary innovation knows no bounds, the trends in food and beverage are ever-evolving, shaping the way we experience and enjoy what we consume. The landscape of gastronomy is not just about satisfying hunger; it's an immersive journey that caters to our evolving tastes, lifestyles, and cultural influences. In this exploration of the latest trends, we delve into the bite-sized bliss that defines contemporary food and beverage experiences.
Microgastronomy: The Art of Miniature Delights
One notable trend sweeping the culinary scene is the rise of microgastronomy – an art form that celebrates miniature versions of our favorite dishes. From bite-sized burgers to tiny tacos, chefs are embracing the challenge of creating intensely flavorful, visually stunning morsels that pack a punch. These miniature delights are not only Instagram-worthy but also offer a unique sensorial experience, allowing diners to savor a variety of flavors in a single sitting.
Functional Foods: Nourishing the Body and Mind
As health-conscious consumers continue to prioritize wellness, the concept of functional foods has gained significant traction. Beyond mere sustenance, these foods and beverages are designed to provide specific health benefits. From antioxidant-rich beverages to superfood-infused snacks, the market is flooded with options that not only satiate our taste buds but also nourish our bodies and minds. Expect to see an increasing number of products boasting probiotics, adaptogens, and other wellness-promoting ingredients.
Global Fusion: Culinary Crossroads
The fusion of diverse culinary traditions has become a hallmark of modern gastronomy. Global fusion is not just about blending flavors; it's a celebration of cultural diversity on the plate. Imagine Korean tacos, Indian-inspired pizza, or Thai-infused burgers. As consumers become more adventurous in their culinary preferences, chefs are experimenting with novel combinations that offer a taste of the world in every bite.
Zero-Waste Gastronomy: From Farm to Fork
Sustainability is not just a buzzword; it's a movement that has infiltrated the food and beverage industry. Zero-waste gastronomy focuses on minimizing food waste throughout the supply chain, from production to consumption. Chefs are getting creative with root-to-stem cooking, repurposing ingredients that would typically be discarded. Embracing this trend not only benefits the environment but also challenges chefs to showcase their ingenuity in creating delectable dishes from often-overlooked parts of ingredients.

Artisanal Beverages: Crafted to Perfection
The craft revolution has extended beyond beer and spirits to encompass a wide array of beverages. Artisanal sodas, handcrafted teas, and small-batch juices are gaining popularity as consumers seek unique and authentic drinking experiences. The emphasis is on quality, with a focus on natural ingredients and traditional production methods. Expect to see an influx of small, local producers offering beverages that go beyond the ordinary, inviting consumers to savor the nuances of carefully crafted drinks.
Tech-Infused Dining: A Digital Feast
The digital age has left no stone unturned, transforming the way we dine. From interactive menus and online reservations to augmented reality dining experiences, technology has become an integral part of the food and beverage industry. With the rise of virtual kitchens and food delivery apps, consumers can indulge in their favorite cuisines from the comfort of their homes. As technology continues to advance, we can anticipate even more innovations that blend the virtual and culinary worlds.
Conclusion:
In the ever-evolving landscape of food and beverage, the trends outlined above paint a vivid picture of a dynamic industry that caters to diverse palates and preferences. From the artistry of microgastronomy to the global fusion of flavors, each trend reflects the desire for unique, memorable culinary experiences. As we navigate this gastronomic journey, one bite-sized bliss at a time, it's clear that the food and beverage industry is not just about sustenance – it's an ever-changing canvas of creativity, innovation, and, above all, the joy of savoring the extraordinary in the ordinary.

This guy's a pretty good size and they're bigger than the f500 and is f600 racing and you can see him using paddles this is about the size of the John Deere and it will be called the Malibu because they're not motorcycle engines like these are and these engines sound real loud but they're not that powerful. And they're about 15 horsepower an hours for 20 and they're going to about 105 miles an hour and I was going to roaring down the field at about 120 to 130 and it's very fast and they said 18 years old is the start because of that and I have to sign off on it maybe about five inches wider and about 10 inches longer than these or maybe over that 14 in he says it's true. The challenge me to erase so I'm getting into it and we have to get the sizes and power and so forth but they did this with motorcycle engines and they thought it was cool cuz they sound cool but we're going to do with Briggs & Stratton type motors lawn mower engines right off the lawn mower itself and it's called modifieds and the 500 won't apply cuz they're not 500cc it'll be like 20 horsepower so be like f20 you don't really call it that but you would call it it's not formula because it's a certain type of fuel and these cars are fast 125 is faster it's fast on a track he wants to call the Malibu and the lawn mowers everywhere and they're a nuisance and nobody uses them they're all in storage in the Midwest people are using them everywhere and they're a bunch of assholes driving down the street doing all sorts of dumb things making crop circles in each other's yards hey can start that in California if you want it'll come across he'll be a lot of fun your last hurray in the Midwest naked corky making a crop circle you have lights on them cork and you can drink a beer out of your 2 l to stump your beers into it with a makeshift funnel and attach a 2 l cup holder to lawn mower when you go to neighbors yard to make the crop circles make sure your neighbors not home and it's the second 2 l. And just like that song I can see you from space. It's a Malibu classic is what we'll call it because it is a new idea to use the lawn mower chassis and lawn mowers and it was Paris Hilton for a Lady Diana and it was her idea and she's a great person for it it was evil but she loved doing it and it is an idea pictures of the sound she said laughing it looks fast not really she got that too so she liked it and she took the idea and ran and people could use motorcycle engines it's kind of a huge dream and she knows WOW motorcycle car it's like a VW and she went nuts thinking it was fun and it was. So going to go ahead and we're going to start this race car circuit and it will be for people who are 18 to 21 after that there's another type of car that's more or less a small Indy car and it's real and you have to be 21 and we'll go backwards with slower parts but they will be similar and shorter and less horsepower the next one down will be 15 and it won't be stretched maybe less wide this one the top speed is going to be pretty high it's going to be higher than 125 well because you're stretching it out and performance package on the top end and exhaust and a new tire suspension but it will be on the John Deere 350 with a new differential from the 550 and it's his idea you're about 160 to 170 mph with a 130 lb person and you have to have a certain weight and it's going to rock I mean that's fast and if you're in a course like you see here and the engines are much louder and they're 20 horsepower lawn mower engines and you should hear the Husqvarna I mean it sounds freaking awesome it was just a little diggy thing and the one from Spain it's like the bull taco it is awesome it is so damn loud he wants to he's much a fanatics but he wants to make a vehicle out of it and we're going to try and find with it it's about the same size
