It watches as people rush back and forth paying little attention to it as they carry on with their meaningless routines. Grace stares at them, and some stare back with bright blue eyes. They smile over their shared secret and continue on.]

[Out of the corner of Grace’s eye, it spots a head of white hair exiting Lakeside Mall.]
